Development version database
We are going to refresh DEV from PRD and want to use note 130906 to backup the version database.
Two questions regarding this:
1) Will PRD active version be replaced if the current version is not the same? Let me say program ZABC on DEV has version 1/2/3, and 3 is the current version. But the active version of ZABC on PRD is version 1, will version 2&3 be transported to copies system? Will active version be changed on PRD?
2) Will non-exist program be transport PRD? For example, ZTEST exist on DEV and has its version 1/2, but this program does not exist on PRD. Will porgram ZTEST and its version be transferred to PRD?
TIA.

if the progarm ZABC has the current active version 3 in DEV and 1 in PRD and you are going to refresh the DEV system by PRD system then yes it will change the version.

If this program does not exist into PRD then how it will come into DEV, it will remain the same.

Which sql developer version will support oracle 8.1.7
hi
which sql developer version will support oracle 8.1.7 or is it necessary to use plsql developer to connect to database (oracle 8.1.7)Hi,
SQL Developer version 1.2.1 is able to connect to 8.1.7 with limited functionality (prepared reports and browser for objects could not work)..
Next version (tested with 3.2 64-bit) of SQL developer could be "hacked" to connect to 8.1.7 by simply copy file C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\jdbc\lib\classes12.zip from Oracle client prior 11
into appropriate jdk\jre\lib\ext folder. -
Currently in our application, we are using Crystal Report XI R2 for generating the reports. We are in the process of upgrading the Crystal Report to SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). I updated that on my machine and all the reports work fine. I didn't have to modify any of the reports.
However when comparing the reports, we found that there are few reports on which the total no. of pages differ from the report displayed using Crystal Report XI R2 vs SAP Crystal Reports, developer version for Microsoft Visual Studio (File Version 13.8). Comparing the reports, it looks all the data that were fit on one page earlier with version XI R2 doesn't fit on the same page with version 13.8, thereby increasing the page counts.
The fonts, page margins everything set on report itself. Nothing being set in the code.
Both the application is using the same report that is pulling the data from the same database. Our application is a web application.
Any suggestion, why this is happening.
Thanks.
SanjayI am not sure what is being compared here?
CRXI R2 designer to CRVS?
CR XI R2 in some version of .NET to CRVS?
CR XI R2 using RDC SDK to CRVS?
Also, is this happening on your development computer or after you deploy?
If you compare the the "Page setup" options dialog between reports that work and those that do not work, do you see any difference?
Is this a web or a win app?
Are you seeing the same issue when viewing and exporting - say export to PDF?
What is the printer driver used and it's version?

Developer version of Oracle for Linux
I am currently enrolled in a class here at ISU where I am working with an off-campus company to develop a better user database for them. They run Oracle, but we must mirror their system on one of our machines to do the work. I was looking for a developer version of oracle that I can use this semester for this project. Does anyone know where I can get something like this?
You can download it from OTN.

Where can i download Oracle Forms 11g Developer version
Hi all
Can any one give me link to download Oracle Forms 11G Developer Version.
ThanksI don't know about discoverer. Be aware that if you are installing discoverer or portal it wants a database to put the repository in.
so then you would have to install xe also?
Note: if the development machines do not have static ip numbers the software has some fragilities regarding that. I can't say I understand how
it works. But you definitely need to figure out what needs to go in the hosts file and whether it needs a ms loopback adapter or not before
you set a number of people off to install this. This gave me the all time most trouble for installing on a < 2008/7 machine. On any machine make sure there are no parentheses in the path as that will be a fatality scenario. -

Access developer version with admin rights
I have MS SQL Server 2012 Developer version installed on my local machine using Windows 7.
I lost my access to SQL Server local developer version when my company change policy to remove admin rights to local machine for some reason.
Since I lost local machine admin rights, I am unable to access MS SQL Server 2012 developer version.
I would like to know are there any work around to access MS SQL Server 2012 Developer version without local admin rights for Windows 7.
Your help and information is great appreciated,
Regards,
Souris,Hello Souris ,
Please , could you provide more information about your problem ?
Are you unable to create new databases ? The error messages would be appreciated.
I don't think that you have posted in the "good" forum , but for a moderator , it is difficult to find a better forum as we don't know what it is happening on your computer.
I think that you should always be able to create databases in your own directory Users\yourusername on which you should have every access rights . The main problem could be to start/stop the SQL Server service as you need some minimum administration rights.
Please , could you tell us whether the lost rights are on the Windows 7 level or on your SQL Server level ?
To connect , you should have at least the db_datareader and db_datawriter permissions on the databases you are using ( I would add db_backupoperator to restore a database in case of errors )
You should have the public and maybe dbcreator ( if you have to create new databases ) and of course your login must be enabled and have the permission to connect to the database engine .
As we don't know what your are doing with the databases with your SQL Server Developer edition , we are unable to help you without more precise information.
We are waiting for your feedback to try to help you more efficiently.

Yellowfin, Java embeddable Business Intelligence Developer version
Yellowfin the leading provider of embeddable Business Intelligence to Java OEM's now offers free developer/Evaluation version access.
The Yellowfin evaluation license includes a fully functional version of the report writer and dashboard management for a single user. It also includes user manuals / product documentation and a tutorial database with sample data. Multicast and user management functionality is not included in the evaluation version.
Unlike many other BI product suppliers, Yellowfin is making BI easy for Java OEM providers to offer enterprise level BI in their core applications. Yellowfin supports wider
distribution across the organisation through three key philosophies. These include ease of use, ease of deployment and ease of integration.
Database agnostic, "pay as you like pricing" and full integration without branding are just some of the innovations Yellowfin OEM's enjoy.
Main --> www.yellowfin.com.au
Developer Version Download --> http://www.yellowfin.com.au/YFRequestEval.i4I found the solution on my own. For whatever reason the installation fails with this error if you try to use a sql server instance that already existed before etup. If you choose to create a new instance during the setup, the installation succeeded (but
there is no new instance installed, but the one used that was in place before) - so to me this looks like a bug in the setup program.
However this solved the problem. -
MS Access 2010 and Oracle SQL Developer Version 4.0.3.16 Error
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise
System Type: 64-bit Operating System
I can not get MS Access 2010 to work/open with SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16.
ERROR when testing connection to MS Access 2010
"Status : Failure -Test failed: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified"
I added the 32-bit ODBC data source for the MS Access I am trying to use with SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16 with the "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe" application, but I still get the same error.
I appears that SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16.is looking at the 64-bit driver (ODBC Data Source) and I have no idea to direct SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16 to use the 32-bit driver (ODBC Data Source) when opening MS Access 2010.
Thank you in advance for your advice.I downloaded the SQL Developer version 4.0.3.16 "sqldeveloper-4.0.3.16.84-x64.zip" that included the jre.
How do I check which Java JDK I am running (32-bit versuns 64-bit)?
In the command prompt I use "java -version" and I get this message "java is not recognized as an internal or external command" -
I recieve the following error when trying to build and run a labview executable. I am able to build the executable but when trying to run the executable, a pop up window comes up asking the user to select a dll. (please see screen shot attached). Once the DLL is selected, I get the error that This VI is not Executable. The full development version of Labview is required to fix the errors. (please see screen shot attached). I have also attached a snapshot of the project window.
I have the professional development system
I can run the main VI
all the required DLL's are in the dependencies section of the project window.
I am trying to find the root cause of this error but to no avail. can anyone give me a clue to what i am missing here. Any suggestions on where i should look to find the problem ?
Thanks in advance to all labview users for your help

Desc not working in SQL Developer Version 1.1.3 Build 27.69
Hi All,
I am using Oracle SQL Developer Version 1.1.3 Build 27.69
select count(*) from abccount(*)
100
using desc / describe table name gives error
desc abcERROR:
ERROR: object abc does not exist
1 rows selected
I am able to perform select on the table but not desc/describe. I tried suffixing with schema name , still the same error persists.
Kindly provide a workaround
TnxWell 1.1.3 is quite old.
The best thing to do IMHO is to update to the latest version, it will also enable a load of new features and fixes.

I am using adobe ams(development version) to record video files in mp4 format using rtmp protocol. I am using mp4 as the file extension and as the stream specifier(codec). The videos are saving correctly. When i copy these files on a mobile device(android and iOS) they are not playing. Can somebody tell what I am doing wrong.
The rtmp url I am using is rtmp://localhost:1935/mp4:videoname.mp4Dropbox - defaultcodec.mp4
Dropbox - h264codec.mp4
These are the two files that I created .The first file is created by the default codec used by Flash player.
The second file(h264codec.mp4) is created by using Flash player 11 and as3 . I have encoded the file using h.264/AAC.
The tutorial followed for creating the second encoded file is Encoding live video to H.264/AVC with Flash Player 11 | Adobe Developer Connection
Thanks in advance . These two files stream successfully in the web application using flash player and as3 .I can play both of them in VLC too. But these files wont play on any mobile device(both android and iOS).
Please send me your feedback on this . In the meanwhile I will look into http streaming.
Any help is greatly appreciated. -
The VI is not executable. The full development version...
"The VI is not executable. The full development version of LabVIEW is required to fix the errors." That is the error I've been dealing with all day. Actually it is repeated 3 to 4 times in the error message, seen when first launching the EXE. Also of note is that the run-arrow is broken. This is in an EXE that was developed well before version 2013, but I recently upgraded it to 2013 to hopefully fix some random LVRT crashes. There is obviously no issue running the code on my development machine, only once it's deployed.
The good news is I've been able to solve the problem (mostly). My EXE now runs without the errors. I found that the problem wasn't actually in the EXE.
We have a separate project with no files, but in the build specification we have the LabVIEW 2013 Run-Time Engine, as well as NI-VISA for serial support. We then bundle the deployment in a self-extracting RAR and it does its business. In the past this has worked just fine, but with LV2013, it seems that there is a component missing from the deployment.
I found that if I download the Run-Time Engine directly from NI.com and run it, the only things I need to install are the Run-Time Engine, and the DEPLOYABLE LICENSE. If I do this, my EXE runs great, but with the custom installer, it is not included for some reason!
Putting aside the fact that I don't know why the Deployable License package is needed (we aren't connecting to remote panels), I can't seem to modify my custom installer to install the Deployable License. There are versions for LabVIEW 2009 and 2011 SP1 in the Additional Installers list, but I don't see 2013.
Can anyone explain why this is??? For now I will just distribute the 257MB Run-Time Engine and the NI-VISA installers separately I guess. But I'd really like to get back to a single, simple package to install all the prerequisites we need. HELP!iannicholson wrote:
Yes, but then every installer I build will contain the runtime engine. That gets very large very quick. So I have an installer for JUST the runtime engine and VISA runtime.
Just remove them from the "Additional Installers" tab of the Installer dialog.
There are only two ways to tell somebody thanks: Kudos and Marked Solutions
