Device Access API licensing

I've been looking around, but have been unable to find, any licensing information on the device access API.
Is the package naming for this API (com.oracle.deviceaccess.*) intended to mean that Device Access is intended to be an Oracle "closed source" API and implementation? Or, are there plans to license the API and/or implementation under some sort of open source license similar to OpenJDK?

I have followed https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=44785:141:128148408213710::::P141_PAGE_ID,P141_SECTION_ID:144,1032#prettyPhoto/1/ video tutorial to set up Java ME Embedded development environment in my Windows system and I have chosen Raspberry PI as embedded platform for ME applications.
I thought of experimenting on Pi’s GPIO header to control a LED through a Switch. But import statement for com.oracle.deviceaccess.PeripheralConfig is giving error in NetBeans IDE and there is no Java ME library containing this interface in the ME SDK installation directory so that I can include that in project classpath to get rid of this error.
Where can I download the JAR for Device Access API?

I could successfully execute ‘blinking LED’ application on Raspberry PI, I have done this using DeviceManager class, GPIOPin interface present in device-io_1.0.jar which has come with ME SDK installation (C:\Java_ME_platform_SDK_8.0\lib).
But https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=44785:141:10585690084130::::P141_PAGE_ID,P141_SECTION_ID:144,1033#prettyPhoto/2/ demonstrates the same application by using classes and interfaces present in com.oracle.deviceaccess package (for eg, com.oracle.deviceaccess.PeripheralManager, com.oracle.deviceaccess.gpio.GPIOPin) and the import on the same is not working in my IDE (compile time error).
I have used below software installers in a Windows7 system for development environment set up:
Java SE SDK: jdk-8u11-windows-x64.exe
Java ME SDK: oracle-jmesdk-8-0-rr-win32-bin.exe
NetBeans all-in-one bundle: netbeans-8.0-windows.exe
NetBeans plugins for Java ME: oracle-jmesdk-8-0-rr-nb-plugins.zip
I have used only above installers.Have I missed anything during development environment setup??

How do I use airport extreme to control individual device access?

I don't understand how I can control individual device access to the web using my AirPort Extreme.
I set up the network on a PC (for technical reasons) but hoping to control access of individual devices (including a Mac but also iPods and iPads) to the web using an iPad (although can use the PC if necessary). I have downloaded AirPort Utility on the PC and an iPad but can't work out what to do next.
Can anyone please provide some instructions or point me in the right direction?

Does this happen with any particular file or all files?
Since the crash report above mentions accessibility.api, so are you working on any related function like adding tags etc. when Acrobat crashes?
Disable all the 3rd party services working in the background and check.

Using Windows.Devices.SmartCards API give 'System.UnauthorizedAccessException'

Hi everybody,
In the past I used the Windows.Devices.SmartCards APIs for Windows Phone 8.1 with success (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/apps/windows.devices.smartcards.aspx).
Now i want to use the same APIs to connect my PC (Windows 8.1) to a SmartCardReader (e.g. ACR122) and read some data from a SmartCard.
Unfortunately, when i use those APIs, a System.UnauthorizedAccessException is launched.
How can i resolve it?

Transfer WISM Access Point license to another type of controller

Guys,
Is it possible to transfer Access Point license from existing wism to another type of controller ?
For example my client have existing wism with support for 300 access point and the plan will be migrated to Cisco WLC 5508, can the access point license transfer from existing wism to new Cisco WLC 5508, so i just buy Cisco WLC 5508 with minimum access point (12 license) and get license transfer from existing wism (300 license) so the total 312 license.
Is it possible to do that ? If not what the best scenario (for value) for hardware choice for controller if my customer want to migrate to new hardware ?

When I was doing MIDP 1.0 coding, I know there is NokiaUI available to implement full screen canvas etc for Nokia phones
It seems using MIDP 2.0, full screen canvas can be achieved by setFullScreenMode(true).
My question is:
On MIDP2.0 phones, what profile level device specific APIs are available for Nokia or any other phones?
Could an API guru out there shed some lights here?

HP Device Access Manager Crashes everytime I open it

I have a brand new 2 days old zbook 17 G2 (k4k44ut#ABA). After having it less than 24 hrs, the system completely crashed, and would not even boot. I used the F11 recovery, and brought the laptop back to factory defaults.
I thought I'd see if "the HP Device Access Manager" was not allowing access to the drive, and when I go into the HP Client Security, and click on "Device Access Manager" it crashes the tool and closes it:
Also, I'm a bit paranoid about the stability of this $2800 new laptop ($3300 with carepak).. so I am trying to back it up with a clickfree C2.. which the HP doesn't appear to let it access. Also, the laptop does't even recognize it as USB 3.0, which the clickfree is... (weird).
I moved from an "also expensive" HP nx9420 business laptop (actually had two nx9420s) to this one and I'm really worried about the zbook, as I've never experienced so much instability on a new laptop before.
I pondered completely removing the HP Device Access manager package.. but not sure of the impact..
Please help me in determining why this thing crashes though, when I open the device access manager.

Disregard getting clickfree to work.. I was able to give it a 15min access... (although would like to extend this).
I just need to figure out why the Device Access Manager crashes now and if i can disable it.

Just try this -
Start computer in safe mode, go to device manager, locate Iphone, Ipod, or Apple Mobile Device Manager. Update/install driver in safe mode and - voila, successfully installed and no more access denied errors.

You can only add music to iTunes Match from your iTunes library on your computer, not from your iOS device. If you have music on your iPad that is not on your computer, you'll have to import it to your iTunes library on your computer to add it to iTunes Match.

ProtectTools Device Access Manager blocking Windows 10 upgrade

Hello, I'm having trouble upgrading Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10. The installation (manual and automatic) fails due to the incompatibility of ProtectTools Security Manager (according to Microsoft). This is also described in a document I found on the HP website: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?sp4ts.oid=5212912&docId=emr_na-c04734799&docLocale=en_US .Before I can uninstall ProtectTools, I need to unistall other HP tools, like Device Access Manager,... And there lies my problem: how do I uninstall Device Access manager? It's not listed under 'Programs and features'. I tried uninstall tools like CCleaner and Revo Unistaller, but they can't find it either. I have installed the latest version of ProtectTools, via the SoftPaq Download Manager and disabled all features in ProtectTools, as far as I can tell. How do I uninstall the ProtectTools suite? I have a Seagate 1TB hard drive connected via USB as a backup (Memeo-backup software) to my HP Probook 470 G2 (Windows 7 Pro). The Device Access Manager asks me to authenticate myself every 15 min (approx). This is very annoying. Is the solution to uninstall the DAM s/w and what will the consequences be? Or has anyone a better solution to get around the Device Access Manager?

You can uninstall Device Access Manager for HP ProtectTools without any worry. It's only there to restrict users from plugging in devices and copying data to external drives.

Rebuilding OEM device with Volume License image

Hello,
I built a Windows 8 Pro device with Volume License media to allow people in the organisation to evaluate but now I want to return this to its original state so it can be given to charity.
I have tried rebuilding this using a default media VL USB stick but it doesn't seem to be able to pick up the OEM product key that I assume is stored in the BIOS.
Do I need to rebuild this device using OEM/Retail media for it to detect the built in key or is there another way to do this using the VL media I already have?

I am sure a recovery partition was there before I rebuilt it but in theory then, does this mean if I rebuilt this using OEM or Retail media of the same edition it would pick up the product key or is it coded to only recognise OEM media from the
actual manufacturer of the hardware?
I know with Windows 7 you can happily use an OEM key with retail media and vice versa as long as the edition is the same - does anyone know if this is the case with Windows 8?
It would be good to know for future reference.
