DI API and DTW versions

Good afternoon, experts:
Is there any query to determine which versions of the DI API and DTW are installed in a machine?
Thanks for your attention.

Hi,
You can find all DI API versions under the DI API folder of you SAP folder.
You may check DTW version by right click on the dtw.exe file to find out version tab under properties.
Thanks,
Gordon

  • Difference between JSF API and RI and EL API and EL RI?

    Im just looking into using facelets and in the dependency list I see this:
    JavaServer Faces RI
    The reference implementations of JSF 1.1 and JSF 1.2 are available for use with your
    application
    JavaServer Faces API
    JSF 1.2 API that works with the new EL specification. (Optionally, MyFaces Core API
    could be used.)
    EL API - The stand-alone EL utilized by both JSP and JSF.
    EL RI - The reference implementation that is used by Facelets for handling EL.
    This isnt a question about facelets but more about what the differences are between the JSF API and RI versions and likewise the EL versions.
    Its much appreciated if anyone can explain this for me.

    Oh, your topic title contradicts (difference between API and RI) with the actual question in the topicstart (difference between the versions).
    If the topic title represents the actual question: the API is the application programming interface, which is just an abstract specification. The RI is the reference implementation, which is the vendor's (in this case Sun) own concrete implementation of the abstract specification. In fact everyone can build an own implementation of the API which might be or not be better than the RI.

  • Windows API ANSI version and UNICODE version

    Windows API have two version:
    ANSI version and UNICODE.
    I want to display chinese, so i use the UNICODE version. but i find it's some mistake.
    and later,  i change to ANSI version, it's correct.
    why the ANSI version can display chinese, and UNICODE can't.
    i use the api function
    FindWindowA
    GetWindowTextA
    who can tell me?

    I understand Vista is a 32 bit.
    IE 8 is what I have but I would consider IE 9 if that would be necessary.
    Just a bit more update. I just tried to download Adobe FP 10 again with the following results, again:
    The Adobe Download Manager windows shows:
    FP 10.3 Status as 100% "Installation Pending".
    FP 10.2 Status as 100% " Instatlling Application"
    and that will go one forever but never really actually installs anything and just keeps cycling through the "Add to Download" e.g. "Fanbase", "Times Reader"
    and "Adobe Air" (none of which I want added to the download), and the download and installation shows as 100%.
    Go figure!

  • Regd OS versions supporting Essbase API and Essbase product suite.

    Hi All,
    Can some one clarify me whether there will be any change of Versions in Operating Systems supporting the Essbase API and Essbase product suite ( i.e Essbase Server,Client,AAS,EIS,APS).
    Is it possible like some of the Operating System versions supporting Essbase Server or AAS will not support the Essbase API of the same product version(9.3.1).
    If both of them support different versions of operating systems, can some body provide me with the supporting OS version documents for Essbase API 9.3.1 and Essbase API 7.1.
    Thanks and Regards

    I installed Photoshop CS4 after installing snow leopard. PS is crashing when saving JPG files. It is completely repeatable.
    I deleted the preferences files and I got it to save the file once. The second time it started to crash again.
    The file is a PSD file with several layers it is 4267x1200 pixels.
    I then flatten the file and save as ....  JPG
    As soon as I click on the JPG quality or OK button photoshop freezes. THIS IS REPEATABLE EVERY SINGLE TIME.
    The big lie from Adobe is that they said that CS4 was certified to work with Snow Leopard, it DOES NOT.
    I went and spent the $350 for the upgrade to find out that CS4 is just as unstable as CS3 (which actually can still save JPGs
    but crashes usually while retouching an image with the brush tool).
    My machine is a current iMac24 with plenty of free disk space and 4Gigs RAM
    I ran disk tools too. no problems here either. Even if I restart and only run PS it still fails.
    Adobe you have to fix this. It is completely unacceptable to tell customers to go buy CS4 and have it NOT WORK.
    I have used PS for more than a decade and it has been quite good. you have concentrated on bloatware features, too frequent updates to get more money (greed) at the expense of quality.
    I do not believe that you are honestly concerned about quality, just more money for overpriced upgrades.

  • Can we develop a plugin to support Reader 8,9 ,10 versions as well as Acrobat 8,9 and 10 versions?

    Hi,
    Can we develop a plugin which can support Reader 8,9 and 10 as well as Acrobat 8,9 and 10??
    I have developed a plugin using acrobat sdk 8, which works on both Acrobat 8 and 9. I have seen acrobat sdk 10, it has changes in the signature of the APIs.
    By using Acrobat SDK 10, Can I develop a plugin that can work on 8,9 and 10 versions of Reader and Acrobat??
    Thanks in advance!

    Well, Adobe no longer supports Acrobat & Reader 8 – so you're on your own there.
    However, there are no technical reasons that you can't develop a single plugin to support Acrobat 9 & 10 (or Reader 9 & 10).  Many developers do it every day.

  • JAVA API AND ABAP API SIMPLE SCENARIO

    Hello MDM gurus
    I have never used any Java API or ABAP API to leverage and present MDM functionalities on front end systems like portal,etc...
    Could you please give me all the required to play around with JAVA api and ABAP api's.
    Points will be given to every valuable answer.
    Thanks

    Hi Nazeer,
    In order to use Portal you need Java APIs and to start with refer the MDM Java docs to get the basic idea of various classes and methods to be used in developing the simple java application and access it using portal.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_mdm550/helpdata/en/47/9f23e5cf9e3c5ce10000000a421937/frameset.htm
    Sample code for Duplicating Repository
    public class TestDuplicateRepository
               public static ConnectionPool simpleConnection;
               public static RepositoryIdentifier repIdentifier,repIdentifier1;
         public static String session;
         public static String connection = "MDMServer_Test";
         public static String repository1 = "Test_Repository";
         public static String repository2 = "Test_Duplicate";
              public static DBMSType dbmsType = DBMSType.MS_SQL;
         public static void main(String[] args)throws CommandException, ConnectionException
                   //Creating Connection.
                   simpleConnection = ConnectionPoolFactory.getInstance(connection);
                   //Establishing connection with Repository.
                   repIdentifier = new RepositoryIdentifier(repository1, connection, dbmsType);
                   repIdentifier1 = new RepositoryIdentifier(repository2, connection, dbmsType);
                   //Creation Sever Session.
                   CreateServerSessionCommand createServerSessionCmd = new CreateServerSessionCommand(simpleConnection);
                   createServerSessionCmd.execute();
                   session = createServerSessionCmd.getSession();
                   //Authenticating Server Session.
                   AuthenticateServerSessionCommand auth= new AuthenticateServerSessionCommand(simpleConnection);
                   auth.setSession(session);
                   auth.setUserName("Admin");
                   auth.setUserPassword("Admin");
                   auth.execute();
                   session = auth.getSession();
                   //Duplicate Repository Command
                   DuplicateRepositoryCommand duplRepCmd = new DuplicateRepositoryCommand(simpleConnection);
                   duplRepCmd.setDBMSUserName("sa");
                   duplRepCmd.setDBMSUserPassword("abc");
                   duplRepCmd.setSession(session);
                   duplRepCmd.setSourceRepositoryIdentifier(repIdentifier);
                   duplRepCmd.setTargetRepositoryIdentifier(repIdentifier1);
                   duplRepCmd.execute();
    Similarly you can try with Getting server version, Archive repository and then move on to adding,modifying records etc.

  • Java IDE (JBuilder) cannot find J2ME's API and packages

    Hi,
    could anyone help me with this?
    I went to sun's java web site, and I downloaded and install the latest version of the wireless toolkit. I need to create a windows application that can send/receive MMS messenges, and hence the need for the J2ME's API and also WMA's API.
    However, even after I installed the wireless toolkit, my Java IDE (JBuilder 2005) cannot detect any packages like "javax.microedition.*" or "javax.wireless.*" etc etc
    Is there a place where I can download/purchase J2ME. Please be patient with me because I am a newbie in the world of J2ME... thanks :)

    When you configuring your project in JBuilder just add some jar (which you need) from wtk library in section "include"
    Project properties
    Paths
    Required libries
    and add here addition j2me libraries.

  • Steps for java apis and mdm

    Hi all ,
    How we can work with JAVA APIs and MDM .
    Please tell step by step ways.
    thanks in advance.
    Thnks
    nm

    Hi Man,
    You have to specify the correct JAR files in the classpath of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM). The API consists of five JAR files:
    1. mdm-admin.jar
    2. mdm-common.jar
    3. mdm-core.jar
    4. mdm-data.jar
    5. mdm-protocol.jar
    These files in one single archive file with the name MDMJavaAPI_Ver<buildnumber>.zip. you can download this file from the service market place by using mentioned below link:
    http://service.sap.com/swdc
    then goto Download>Support Packages and Patches> Entry by application group -->SAP NetWeaver -->SAP MDM -->SAPMDM5.5 -->Java API
    for the Java API documentation, you can download it from the link below:
    http://help.sap.com/javadocs/MDM/current
    But remember one thing that this JAVA API Version file must be compitable with your MDM Server version.you can verify this as per the build version.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Compiler API  and Tomcat

    Hi!
    I am using the new compiler api to compile dynamically generated classes.
    To get the compiler tool i call:
    JavaCompiler compilerTool = ToolProvider.getSystemJavaCompiler(); when I run this from eclipse with the integrated tomcat everyhing works fine but if I deploy the application on the external tomcat i get a null pointer exception because getSystemJavaCompiler(); always returns null.
    Somebody got an idea why?

    sigh, NEVER put ANYTHING in the jre/lib/ext directory.
    It's a bad thing that it's even there, as it causes systems to become mutually incompatible and to behave unpredictably when different versions of classes are needed/present.
    The compiler API (and others) that depend on the local filesystem are disallowed by application servers for security reasons.
    You've just given access to every cracker in the world to your system by allowing them to compile and run code on your machine with root privileges. Your boss will thank you.

  • IME API and IME Text Input Enhancement

    Hi All,
    I am presently using Adobe Air 1.5 Framework and i want to update the Air 2 Beta version. Help me in setting the same.
    As in my application, it uses TLF which doesn't supprot IME. But as i came to know the features from AIR 2 Beta it provides.
    Can you help me for the same in implementing the feature "IME API and IME Text Input Enhancement" with some samples or examples.

    I do not know what VM is ported on ur Pocket PC? It depends on the MIDP RI [Reference Imlementation] ported specific for each device. for e.g.:- for few pointer/touch screen devices the MIDP RI ported handles both the keypad and the pointer mappings automatically.
    Kindly check out the below link where-in you have list of JVM's that you could port on your pocket PC.
    http://www.comp.lancs.ac.uk/~fittond/ppcjava.html
    Most of the palm or pocket PC's would be ported with CDC/Foundation Profile where you will have JNI support that may help you to develop your own application specific API's using the existing device native libraries provided by the vendor.
    IBM's J9 VM for example supports JNI.

  • Not Showing the UI API and DI API reference

    Hi Experts,
    I have SAPB1 8.81 pl 5.  I have also installed the sdk 8.81 pl5 but when i am opening my .Net project in visual studio 2008 the older refence to ui api and di api is showing some warning so i have just remove both the references and try to add new reference to ui api and di api.
    My problem is that when i am clicking on add refernce it is not showing the 8.81 versions in the list and if i am taking the reference of 8.8 only then it's again giving the warning symbol as previous .

    I am assuming that when you try to add the Reference in VS, that for SAP Business One you are choosing the COM tab.  You should see the Component Name as SAP Business One DI API Version 8.81, but the TypeLib Version will still say 8.8 ... this would be the same for the UI API.
    Possibly you want to uninstall the SDK, make sure the directories are removed and then re-install.

    The problem with submitting a bug report is I don't know how to replicate it.
    The java file showed up on the "Referenced Libraries". I removed it from there and it fixed the problem.
    If I return it to the classpath via Eclipse it doesn't demonstrate the problem.
    I don't know how it got into the classpath to cause this problem. I even tried editing the classpath (which I'm fairly certain was not how the problem was caused) but that didn't replicate the problem.
    I didn't check the .classpath to see what the entry was before I removed it via eclipse so I don't know what the entry looked like. The problem wasn't in the version is SVN so I don't know how to find what changes were made.
    If you sill want a bug report I can enter one but with out any instructions on how to replicate it.

  • Some question about mdm java api and portal content

    Hi Gurus,
    I am new to MDM. I am going to develop some web dynpro application using mdm java api.
    My question is regarding the relationship between MDM version and NW version:
    for example
    1.MDM5.5 JAVA api can be deployed to CE 7.11 server?
    2.MDM7.1 JAVA API can be deployed to CE 7.11 server? or can only be deployed to CE server.
    the same question for the MDM portal content.
    the possible dev environment  for our company would be:
    1.MDM7.1
    2.CE7.2(do we need another EP7 server for the UWL?)
    Best regards,
    John

    Hi,
    I am using Portal 7.0. MDM version is 7.1.
    My problem is ... i am trying to connect WebDynpro (JAVA) to MDM7.1. But am unable to do so. I have a WD Frame in which i have a WD iView and the MDM iView. But i am unable to pass parameters from the WD iView to MDM Item Details iView.
    Note:
    1. I have deployed MDM JAVA API on NWDS
    2. I have specified " * " as a parameter to pass from the URL in the Item Details iView.
    Please help.
    Every help that i have read talks about CE7.1 but not NW 7.0

    Hi Romano,
    The code whihc you have given:
    J2EE version:
    IClusterInformation clusterInfo = (IClusterInformation)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService("com.sap.portal.runtime.system.clusterinformation.clusterinformation");
    String j2ee_version = clusterInfo.getCoreVersion(clusterInfo.getNodeId());
    Can you let me know where can i find the jar which contians the  file
    "com.sap.portal.runtime.system.clusterinformation.clusterinformation"
    I could find the file  "version_id.txt"  .
    The code
    File versionRootDir = getVersionRootDir(aRequest);
            if(versionRootDir != null && versionRootDir.exists())
                File versionTxtFile = new File(versionRootDir, "version_id.txt");
                portalVersion = getVersionNumber(aRequest, versionTxtFile);
    the code
    private File getVersionRootDir(IPortalComponentRequest aRequest)
            File versionRootDir = null;
            String sysGlobalDir = System.getProperty("sys.global.dir");
            if(sysGlobalDir == null)
                aRequest.getLogger().warning(this, "getVersionRootDir(): system property sys.global.dir not set.");
            } else
                versionRootDir = new File(sysGlobalDir, "portal_versions");
            if(versionRootDir == null || !versionRootDir.exists())
                IClusterInformation clusterInfo = (IClusterInformation)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService("com.sap.portal.runtime.system.clusterinformation.clusterinformation");
                String serverRootDir = clusterInfo.getSAPJ2EEServerDirectory();
                if(sysGlobalDir == null)
                    aRequest.getLogger().warning(this, "getVersionRootDir(): could not get server root dir from cluster information.");
                } else
                    versionRootDir = new File(serverRootDir, "../../portal_misc/versions");
            return versionRootDir;
    My only problem reaminign is that i cannot find the class "com.sap.portal.runtime.system.clusterinformation.clusterinformation"
    As a result the code is not getting compiled.

  • SCORM API and APIType

    Using Andrews Chemey's article on using SCORM and Captivate
    I'm working on a javascript SCORM API to integrate Captivate
    results into a web application. I made a shell API and used the
    sample from the article and it works perfect in FireFox. When I
    switched to IE I can see API calls for Initialize, Commit, and
    Terminate, but none of the other calls ever make it to my SCORM
    API. I was looking at the Simulation.htm in the SCORM 2004 Non-Pif
    directory and found that if I foreced g_intAPIType equal to 1
    (getURL) it worked fine in IE.
    I'm assuming there are reaons that when it detects IE it was
    switching to 0 (fscommand). Can anyone shed some light on this? Is
    there a setting in Captivate I need to instruct my content
    developers to use to force it to always use 1?
    Thanks in advance for any help.

    NielRevelle,
    I'm confused with what you are trying to do...
    However - the Captivate tracking mechanism is a two-way
    mechanism that needs
    to work in as many browsers, Flash Player versions and
    Operating Systems as
    possible. This "two-way" mechanism takes advantage of
    IE/ActiveX and uses
    the setVariable method to pass data into Flash. However,
    other browsers and
    OSs don't support ActiveX so it uses a different mechanism to
    send data into
    Flash. That's why g_intAPIType is used (if 0 - it uses
    setVariable for the
    ActiveX control; if it's 1 - it uses a different mechanism
    that supports
    other OSs and Browsers, but still supports IE).
    Finally, I can understand why Initialize (and Commit and
    Finish/Terminate)
    is supported but nothing else. If a SCORM-compliant LMS is
    not available or
    the SCORM API can't be found or the LMS can't initialize -
    the other SCORM
    calls aren't made. Now - you have to determine why you think
    the LMS should
    have been initialized but wasn't.
    Can you provide more information on what you are trying to
    do? Does a stock
    Captivate file launch/track from your LMS?
    Regards,
    Andrew
