DI API BP Add

Experts,
If i want to add a customer thru DI API, it does not add for WT Tax, how to make that WT tax not applicable and add a customer

I need some help on adding a BP from VB.net
I've been reading the SDK and found the same code lines that you suggested here:
'Create the BusinessPartners object
        Dim vBP As SAPbobsCOM.BusinessPartners
        vBP = oCompany.GetBusinessObject(SAPbobsCOM.BoObjectTypes.oBusinessPartners) 'Calls BusinessPartners object
         'Set values of the BusinessPartners object's mandatory and optional properties
        vBP.CardCode = "HU1003" 'Mandatory property in the BusinessPartners object
        vBP.CardName = "ABCD"
        vBP.CardType = SAPbobsCOM.BoCardTypes.cCustomer
But, I have defined a Series for the numbering of the BP when adding a new one on B1. The series is number 46. Therefore, I use this series with the line code:
vBP.Series = 46
That means, I don't need to define the CardCode. But I have some trouble, because everytime I reach that line, my app crash and says that it can't read or write on protected memory ¿¿??
This line only works IF and ONLY IF you unckeck the field "LOCK" on the Series Number definition for your BP. Doing that, the code works fine and, of course, I  need to add the CardCode manually. The problem is that my client told us not to uncked that field.
It's not an issue of permissions because my user have access to all.
Any  thoughts?
