DI API Connection freezes to death
Hi,
I deployed a simple app which connect to SAP
oCompany.Connect()
and it freezes there forever. Is there anything I could do to know what's wrong ?
Is there any in depth documentation on what a connection to sap involve in term of security and other things like that ?
Marc,
There is information and sample code on how to connect to SAP Business One via the DI API in the SAP Business One SDK Help Center. If you look under "Connecting to SAP Business One Database" you should find this helpful.

Can I use UI-API connected company with DI-API business objects?
Hi.
I have to make some inventory transactions, by using DI-API business object Documents:
SAPbobsCOM.Documents vInventoryGenEntry;
vInventoryGenEntry = (SAPbobsCOM.Documents)
oCompany.GetBusinessObject(BoObjectTypes.oInventoryGenEntry);
But, the Company object available on UI-API doesn't give me GetBusinessObject, that is necessary to use a business object.
Then, I think it's necessary to make at least 2 connections:
- DI-API connection, using SAPbobsCOM.Company()
- UI-API connection, using SboGuiApi.Connect(sConnectionString)
Is it true?
I'm looking for a solution that uses just one connection.
Is there another way to do that?
Thanks.Hi!
There is a way to get a "real" company object from the ui application object, using a method called "Single sign-on". Look for it in the documentation, that is just what you need.
Hope it helps!

indeed strange behaviour. have you checked that you are up to date with the latest firmware for your device thru Nokia Suite on PC, and that your SIM card is in good condition / cut properly, and that you are in an area of good network coverage and reception. also check that you have the correct network carrier settings for data/MMS/everything.

Airport express wireless connection freezes SSH connection - any fixes?
airport express wireless connection freezes SSH connection - any fixes?
so i am using an airport express and remotely access computers/servers via SSH. port forwarding is set up and the computer has a fixed local IP address.
if i continue to issue command in the shell, then the connection persists. however, if i leave it idle for some amount of time more than a half an hour, both terminal and xterm (X11) freeze for a considerable amount of time. then they time out and return to a active shell on the local computer.
i have since determined that this does not occur if i am using a direct (built-in) ethernet connection.
is this problem fixable? are there settings in airport admin utility that can be changed to prevent this from occuring?
any advice or pointers would be tremendously appreciated
stefanoshi bill,
thank you for the suggestion. i added the lines to my .ssh/config file and so far it seems to have solved the problem.
i'll evaluate it over the next few days and post back if i notice any problems. it seems to achieve what i was thinking at least conceptually. to somehow, while idle, send something to ensure the connection stays alive.
many thanks for the solution. it's been a nagging issue and it's great to be likely rid of it.

Remote Desktop Connection freezes Windows 7 64-bit
At home, I just upgraded from a Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit desktop to a new Dell with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit OS. Remote Desktop Connection from my old home PC to my work PC worked great for years even after upgrading both to Windows 7 Ultimate. Now everytime I try to use Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) to connect into my work PC (with Windows Ultimate 7 32-bit) the RDC window will freeze after a new seconds of use. If I wait approx 3 minutes the RDC window will unfreeze for a few seconds before freezing again. If I minimize the RDC window on my home PC, I can continue to work because it's only the RDC window that is frozen. Here is everything I've tried already that has not helped:
1. Trying reducing the home PC screen resolution
2. Downloaded the latest 64-bit driver from NVIDIA for the GTX 260 graphics card
3. Taken my home PC to work to test behind the company's firewall--doesn't help
4. Disabled Window Auto Tuning (suggestion from this website)
5. Called Dell support--they tried for about an hour to help but couldn't; thier suggestion was to order Windows 7 32-bit version OS and install it
6. Tried running the 32-bit version of mstsc.exe - no help
7. Using MSCOMFIG, disabled all Startup items - no help
I have another home PC running Windows XP, it works perfectly using RDC to connect to my work PC. Also, I have no problem at all using RDC from my work PC back into my home PC (the other direction).
Here may be a clue: if I start up my new Dell Windows 64-bit OS in Safe Mode, the RDC session does not freeze.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!Hi,
Since it works in Safe Mode, I suspect this should be related to some conflicts, please try the methods in the following Knowledge Base article to have a check:
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
In addition, please also ensure the NIC drivers on all of the computers are up-to-date.
Hope this helps. Thanks.

MBP retina + Yosemite + MAGSAFE CONNECTED = freeze and spinning ball!!
I'm really losing my mind...
Friday I finally installed Yosemite 10.10 on my mbp retina. At the beginning everything was perfect, then new updates like iphoto and imovie started to pop up so I decided to download them. At some point of the download the spinning ball appeared but didn't want to go away, even after 5 minutes. I couldn't use my macbook so I decided to force shut down.
After restarting I could log in, but as soon as I moved the cursor to the dock and clicked on the apps I needed to open (Mail and Chorme) everything froze and the spinning ball appeared again.
Force shut down again.
The magsafe was connected at all time.
Then I decided to go to the Apple Store to solve the problem. Once I explained the problem to the guy and turned on the macbook in front of him, everything started to work again perfectly.
I looked like a freaking idiot.
He had no explanation, he just told me to use time machine to backup my data and bring the macbook there in case the issue would appear again.
Yes I tried all the possible procedures pressing the keys when the macbook is turned on. (I kept for last the pram reset and smc reset)
Nothing.
Then this morning I realized the freezing at startup would occur only if the magsafe was connected!!! This is also why at the Apple store there was no problem at startup....no magsafe connected. I tried a few times to use the macbook normally with the battery (even now that I'm writing), and it's working perfectly!! But as soon as I connect the magsafe, go to the dock to open apps or simply click on the google chrome tabs to type in a website, everything starts to freeze again and the spinning ball stays there indefinitely.
I also tried the utility disc (in normal and safe mode). It says everything is ok.
I even tried to delete completely iphoto, imovie and caffeine and to reinstall Yosemite.
I don't want to go to the Apple Store now because it's full of people (iphone 6 just got released here in China).
Could someone help me understand what is the problem??
Thank you for all the help you can provideYesterday it started to do the same even with the battery! So it was impossible for me to use it. I went to the apple store...they didn't know what to tell me since the system just got released.
They ran a few tests on my macbook and it showed that it wasn't an hardware issue, it was the software. So they wanted to do a backup of my data (from one of their macbooks) but couldn't because somehow there was a password for Firevault. I never put it!! And it's not the same I always choose for my system.
Result? They had to erase everything (I'm angry because I lost a lot of my work files) and now I'm back to Mavericks 10.9.5 and I have no idea when I'll decide to update again to Yosemite.
Since Steve Jobs passed away Apple is not the same.
My girlfriend has an iphone 5, she installed IOS 8 and everything is slow as ****. Seriously.
It's really disappointing and I (we) don't trust Apple anymore. -
Hello API Experts,
I have a few questions related to connections to MDM using the API presented with SP06. SP06 introduced new options for connections via classes in mdm.sessions package. Which connection types are preferred for a java web services environment, using classes in mdm.sessions package or mdm.net package? What is the reasoning behind your choice?
When I create a UserSessionContext I notice that 2 connections are created ( I watch the connections in MDM Console as I'm debugging my java app ). When I want to get rid of these connections I do a releaseSessions( ) and destroySessions( ) call. The connections disappear from MDM console (that's good) but on my java console window in eclipse I get two messages printed from the mdm.logging.MdmLogger class:
SEVERE: Can not find session for release. Session context: '< my connection info >'
SEVERE: Can not find session for destroy. Session context: '< my connection info >'
Is this really a problem since the connections seem to disappear from the Console?
Finally, what are the differences between releaseSessions and destroySessions and would one ever want to releaseSessions and not destroySessions with the intention of picking them up again later and if so, how would you pick them up again at that later time or would the API just hand them back to you when you later ask for a new __SessionContext?
Thanks,
MarkHi Mark,
The new classes introduced in the com.sap.mdm.session package were introduced in order to make session creation less painful for the software developer. It is up to you, though to choose how you wish to create a connection to an MDM server.
The function releaseSession marks a s session as available for destruction. DestroySession immediately calls for destruction of the session. So you should use one of these functions, but not both of them.

Walter -
Hi folks,
I am working with the MDM ABAP API and there are some errors that do not make any sense to me.
Here is a list with the technical information:
MDM 5.5 SP 5 (5.5.40.83)
SAP NetWeaver 2004s (700)
MDM API 555/700
I have set up the Repository information in MDMAPIC, using a new created provider of the type CL_MDM_PROVIDER_55_SP05_PL00 ( MDM5.5 SP05 Patch 0, Server Build 5.5.40.79 - 5.5.40.xx ).
I then have tried to establish the connection to the server and repository and so on according to the HowTo Guides.
When I finished yesterday, I managed to connect to my local MDM Server and to retrieve the names of the mounted repositories, but I was not able to retrieve records from a certain repository. When I wanted to solve that problem today, I was not able to connect to my MDM server anymore. There have been no changes in the coding or the configuration since then, only the MDM server has been restarted and the repository has been reloaded. But apart from that, nothing has changed but still I am not able to establish the connection anymore ( Connection refused ). Then I have tried to connect to another MDM server, but there I get another error ( Connection is not trusted ), although I have rechecked a dozen times that there is the allow.ip with the proper ID of my SAP system and the according user in the MDM repository.
From time to time, the errors change without changing anything else, just by trying to execute it a couple of times. I have figured out, that sometimes I get an error out of the above mentioned provider class ( CL_MDM_PROVIDER_55_SP05_PL00 ). Is it possible, that the MDM API is not working properly with the PL00?
Hints are appreciated a lot...!
Thanks and best regards,
SabineHi,
Check whether the server is down or not. If the server is down, u will get the same error message

Dial-up connection freezes programs
I am having a strange problem. :? When I am connected with my dial-up modem, some programs won't start (e.g. kuickshow) or will freeze when I try to open a dialog window such as open/save file (e.g. kedit, kdiff3, firefox). If I am not connected or if I am connected with my network card, everything works fine. I think the problem started a few weeks ago when there was problems with firefox.
I am using kppp, KDE 3.3.2, the ltmodem drivers and the stock kernel 2.6.10
Any idea about what might be the problem?Well... Yesterday, I notice that if my network is running
/etc/rc.d/network start
, everything is fine. However if I stop it,
etc/rc.d/network stop
I have the same problem when my dial-up connection is running. :? I think that it is a problem with my network setup in rc.conf. A month ago or so, I changed my network setting from dhcp to static. It might be related to my problem. I still need to check that out. -
PowerQuery API connection credentials error.
Hi Folks
I am trying to use PowerQuery to connect to an API from a website (Chargify.com). I have an API key that is definitely correct. Documentation outlines that the URI to connect to the API should be in the format - https://<subdomain>.chargify.com/<resource
URI> so I am using something like https://MY_COMPANY_SUBDOMAIN.chargify.com/subscriptions
However I get a credentials error when I try and connect (see screenshot). Chargify support think this error is linked to a issue with PowerQuery rather than an actual credentials issue. Hs anyone stuck a similar problem and resolved it?
Cheers
SteveWhen I go to the documentation for chargify.com (https://docs.chargify.com/api-authentication), it says that you should be using Basic authentication -- with the API key as the user name and the
letter "x" as the password. -
I have a 30gig. ipod video. Whenever I connect it to my computer using the USB cord my whole computer freezes including the mouse and keybord not working at all. My computer is not too old either. I have been using it with my computer for about 9 months now.

Sharepoint break REST API connection (anonymous), possible bug in sharepoint
Hello, I have following problem when I test Rest API using fiddler :
As i see, server just close connection and does not return any status code at all. I expect to see at least 401 or 500 exception. Is that SharePoint
bug, or this is expected behavior of the SharePoint? (according HTTP protocol & according SharePoint Rest API )
Web application settings and site collection settings:Hi,
Can you access the site from browser?
If you can, would you mind providing more details about how you execute your request? Anonymous or with credential?
How about setting the “Anonymous Access” to “Anonymous users can access Entire Web site”? It would allow anonymous users access the site.
Feel free to reply if the issue still exists.
Best regards

TomJust noticed a typo: I moved FROM plugged into the middle of the network to the END of the network and then plugged into that base stations ethernet.

Hey guys,
when I access a router or a switch (I dont' remember if it does it in firewalls as well) via the light-blue console cable, I have to restart the device.
I use Hyper Terminal from windows and I get this problem a lot because if I want to access the router via the console few days later, I can no longer get in. Access thru telnet/ssh is always good.
Is there any settings on the console line that prevents or perhaps freezes the console line after a certain amount of time?
Once again, I have to restart the router or the switch in order to see and access the prompt.yes, all my terminal emulator settings are correct.
I do agree these problems are strange. I connect fine, do my things, then I lock the PC (I do leave the hyper termninal session open mpst of the time though)
and then 2 or 3 days later, I try to go back to the hyper terminal window but it does not let me type anything. So I close the HT session, open up a new one, but same thing... I can't type anything nor see anything from the router (not even a prompt)
Again, the only fix is rebooting the device and once I do, I then see activity via the HT window and I can also type stuff
