Diaplay data of only one UOM in Query

Hello All,
Please help me with the below:
we have a field with mixed UOM i.e. Hours and Minutes. How do we, in the query select only one UOM to display the data?

When I execute my query, I get the following records
Record 1 , 8 hrs
Record 2 , 30 mins
Record 3, 4 hrs
Record 4 , 10 mins
I need for example all records only in hours.
Record 1 , 8 hrs
Record 2 , 0.5 hrs
Record 3, 4 hrs
Record 4 , 0.1 hrs
The UNIT hours or mins is displayed during execution.
How do we know which record is mins and which record in hours?
If we know this then we can multiply or divide by 60 to get our values.

You have to create two RKFs.
In the first RKF , you have to create a customer exit variable on your date and that too it should be interval . Using the CMOD code , populate this interval from the 1st day of this year till the date user is entering .
In the second RKF , you have to create a customer exit variable on your date and that too it should be interval . Using the CMOD code, you have to populate the interval from the 1st day of the previous year till the same date as entered by user but it should be of last year .
You have to write the above 2 codes in I_STEP = 2 mode .

Multiple events per date with only one photo each - Unwanted

I have the eyefi wireless sd card in my camera and it is setup to transmit my photos into iphoto automatically, which it does. However, the problem arises in that iphoto creates multiple events for the same date each containing only one photo. I would prefer that iphoto create individual events per date and have the multiples of that date's photos within. I thought I had the settings configured to do so as I have preferences set for autosplit events one per day but I still see events such as - July 3, 2008 - July 3, 2008 - July 3, 2008 - each with only one photo inside.
I am wondering if it is something in iphoto's settings or the way in which eyefi transmits the photos into iphoto.
Any thoughts?

I do not have a WiFi connection to my camera so can not test but am just guessing
I can think of two possibilities
- 1 - if you are taking the photos with the WiFi connected then each time you snap a photo it may be being sent which would be looked at as a new import and therefore create a new event - to stop this I believe you would have to not have a full time WiFi connection to your camera or somehow set the camera to send batched - not each one - iPhoto will take each batch into and follow the rules for making events for that batch even if you camera is sending many batches of One photo
- 2 - You have the preference for making batches set to one every two hours and there is a long time between photos - I'm guessing that #1 is more likely

Multiprovider showing data from only one underlying object?

Dear Bwers,
I have a Multiprovider (MP) that is defined on an ODS object and an InfoCube. When i create a query on the MP, i can see values that are coming from only the ODS and not the InfoCube. I have identified the key characteristics from both the ODS and Cube and checked them in the MP in the identification tab.Can anybody suggest me something that i may be missing?

How do you include 0INFOPROV in the query? i have checked the underlying infoproviders (ODS and Cubes) and see that the objects have data based on sample key fields that i selected(using listcube). i have also run the query with RSRT option using the multiptovider explain option and got the message as below. Please help me with the message below. (remember the MP has four underlying objects, 2 ODS and 2 cubes).

Where with Date returns only one day data

This only returns data for first day of the month and need data for a month.

Well a TRUNC without a format string only gives you one day. If you want to trunc to the month you need a 'MM' format string.

Duplicate data in only one sheet in a smartform

Hi:
I have data to display in a smartform. The first half of the sheet have exactly the same of the second one. Do I have to program both sides, or there's any way to duplicate the information with only the first half of the sheet.

Keep this in main widow and create one more main window in the layout,i.e. you will be having two main window with same data.

Multiprovider shows data from only one cube?

I have created one infoprovider for slow moving stock which has 2 cubes (ZIC_C03 & ZIC_C07) & 1 ODS (ZMM_ODS)..
I have loaded 4 records in 2 cubes & 1 ODS..
When I go in tcode listcube to see data of multiprovider, it shows me data only from one cube ie ZIC_C03..
It doesnt display data from remaining 2 data targets (I have same records in all 3 data targets)
Kindly tell me how to solve this probelm

Dear Neha,
Check this info...might be helpful...
select the option "create reccomendations" in the bottom option in the identification tab.
and check now tf the data from alll the data providers is coming or not....
"Identification" is in the top just besides "dimension" option in the characteristics tab.
Just chose which infoprovider you want the respective char to come from.
"Selection" option will be in the key figure tab in the multiprovider....just chose the key figure you want to come from which underlying infoprovioder.
Identification tells which char will be populate in the multiprovoder through which infoprovider so if you have some char as A tehn identification should be from A char in all the infoproviders...just tick that option there.
In case of selections if you have same two key figures coming from two providers then select the provider which you want it come.

Comparing the Dates and Exclude the Dates with Blank one in BEx Query

 I have created the Formula Variables ZFV_DATE1 on ZDATE1, ZFV_DATE2 on ZDATE2,
 Calculated KF ZCKF_Date with 'ZV_DATE1 < ZV_DATE2' and
 Restricted KF ZRKF_DATE on Key Figure ZCKF_DATE & Characteristic ZDELETE = 'X' to find the Count.
I should exclude if any ZDATE1 or ZDATE2 is Blank in the report. So I kept ZDATE1 & ZDATE2 with Exclude when it is Blank in Filter Section. It is excluding globally all Blank ZDATE1 & ZDATE2, but the Calculated KF logic 'ZV_DATE1 < ZV_DATE2' is not working. It has 'ZV_DATE1 > ZV_DATE2' records also. Next I moved ZDATE1 & ZDATE2 to Restricted KF ZRKF_DATE to Exclude the Blank dates and the report doesn't show correct results. How could I get the correct results with 'ZV_DATE1 < ZV_DATE2' and any ZDATE1 or ZDATE2 is not Blank.

In that case, you approach seems to be mor or less correct. Restrcit the report using Filters on ZDATE1 and ZDATE2 not equal to Blank. You have mentioned that you have defined the CKF as 'ZFV_DATE1 < ZFV_DATE2'. i am assuming you have used boolean operator here. In this case it would result in '1' when the condition is true (i.e, when ZFVDATE2 is greater than ZFVDATE1), else it will result in a '0'. Now, in your report, you should create a condition where you only keep the records where this CKF, ZCKF_Date = 1. This would filter out all the ZCKF=0 records, and hence only thiose records with ZFV_DATE1 < ZFV_DATE2 would be shown.

How to clear data on only one member

Hii have for members in my components dimension(Member A,Member B,Member C, Member D ).i want to clear all data under MemberA, without touching anydata under other members.i used the same dataload rule which i used for loading Member A,with changing the option from "Overwrite existingvalues" to "Substract existing values". But it gavea lot of errors.can anyone suggest a better way.thanks 

Depending on the size of your database, a calc script is an option: Fix (@isdescendants(MemberA)) Clearblock all; Endfix You can test different combinations of this script on a small section of data. If just one member: Cleardata MemberA; would work too. If the database is very large a calc may be quite slow but again that can be tested. Hope this helps.

Accessing two data sources in one method

I wanted to access two connection pools in one EJB project. I manage to create two connection pools in weblogic server and I successfully wrote the lookup code. I wanted to call these two data sources in one method. But it only gives result from one data source connection. other is null. Im getting following message also
Connection has already been created in this tx context for pool named jdbc_informix_pool. Illegal attempt to create connection from another pool: JDBC_informix_webdata
"jdbc_informix_pool" and "JDBC_informix_webdata" is the names of my connection pools. the two data sources works perfectly when they are accessed separately. but whenever im tryng to call two data sources in one method it retrive data from only one data source and gives me above message.
anyone know how to fix it.?

thnx man.. it worked. But there is another problem. I cant close my data source connection. whenever im tryng to close it, it says
Result set already closed
i manage to run my program without closing the data source connection. but after a while it says
No resources currently available in pool JDBC_informix_webdata to allocate to applications, please increase the size of the pool and retry
i can increase the size of the pool and run my program. but i guess if I close the data source connection this will be resolved. But how can I close my data source connection. I tried finally clause. but it gives me the result set already closed message
how can i do it.?

Why is there only one Operating Concern defined in GBI?

Hi all,
I have the following question: when looking at the CO structure of the GBI case study, why is there only one, global operating concern defined? According to the definition of an OC, it is the level whereupon profitability analysis is performed. So why is in GBI that has two very distinct business areas not at least two OCs defined (one per business area), if not more (per product)?
As a follow-on, what is then the relation between OC and Controlling Area? I am looking for a plain English explanation that I can also use for teaching purposes.

I hope my reply is not too late.
I agree with you. Profitability analysis is typically done at a detailed level - by market segments, which may be defined by geographical segments, customer groupings, product groupings, salesforce grouping, etc. CO-PA does support profitability analysis at such detailed levels.
After defining an operating concern and activating it, the system generates a series of database tables for the operating concern. I took a screenshot of the (partial) structure of the "master" table for the global GBI operating concern, GL00, from the GBI 2.2 system I am using, below:
As you can see, with such a table structure, CO-PA is capable of capturing profitability information at a very detailed level for reporting and analysis.
You may also notice that operating concern is not a field in the table. The reason is, the entire table (as well as its related tables in the same series) is used only for operating concern GL00. Its name is even hard-coded in the last 4 characters of the names of these tables. When CO-PA reports are executed in SAP ECC, they retrieve data from only one series of tables, i.e., only data of only one operating concern can be reported.
Back to your question: Why is there only one operating concern and not two? The wisdom of defining one global operating concern is that profitability data of both controlling areas (Europe and North America) will be updated into the same series of database tables and reported together. If there had been two separate operating concerns for the two controlling areas, there would have been two series of database tables, making profitability analysis across the two areas difficult, if not impossible.

HP Simple Save 1.5TB Will Not Run (Without Data Recovery) - Only HP Launcher Appears

I have an HP Simple Save 1.5TB external HD that I've actually had for about 4 years. I currently have to use data recovery software just to access it, but I'd like to know if there's any way it can be repaired so I can just plug and play.
The data is still there (about 1300GB out of 1.5TB), but when I plug it in, only the "HP Launcher" appears in the Windows browser. I double-click that and nothing happens. When I ran the data recovery I showed that the HD had damaged partitions.
Is there any way to repair this or I just need to continue to use data recovery to access it. I've since gotten more up-to-date external HDs that work fine, but this one has info on it that's only there.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have had several HP external drives over the years. I have never used the SimpleSave software; I just push all the commands into a folder on the drive and ignore it. That is not to say the software is not great, only that for my purposes, I have no use for it. I use my external drives as standard store and fetch disks.
If you have any means of retrieving the unique data from that disk and copying it elsewhere, you might consider doing that. Four years is not a drop-dead point - external disks can run for years. Having said that, it may be time to consider that having unique data on only ONE four-year-old disk is a risk.
In most cases, one can run chkdsk on an external drive.
Command-Line Procedure:
To execute CHKDSK:
Windows 8: Press Windows key () + X, then select Command Prompt (Admin).
OR
Windows 7/Vista:
Click on the Start menu.
In the Search programs and files field, type:
cmd
and press Enter.
Windows XP:
Click on the Start menu.
Select Run...
In the Run window, type:
cmd
and press Enter.
If necessary:
When you find the cmd prompt program, Right-Click and select "Run as administrator"
From the window, type:
chkdsk x: /f
where x is the drive letter of the drive you want to test.

I'm trying to create a calculation to show the difference between the budgets for two different years in a Discoverer crosstab query.
I'm using the lag function to repeat the value of a column for the current year and the year before.

Lag and lead seems to be the only choice and they work excellent. Checkout the new 10g Database features. There is new SQL modal clause which might give additional and powerful analytics but in this case lag and lead should be sufficient.

How to use data in a ResultSet when only one record in set?

Using a prepared statement which invokes a SELECT * from <table> where <primary key> = <unique value>.
This is executed and the results sent to a resultSet.
The only problem is that only one entry is in the resultSet. I want to parse the results and invoke a new class based on the results.
So I have:

I think I should clarify what I was doing: I'm trying to insert a record into a table, and with the ID that I obtain, use it to retrieve the data.
I did put a commit in there, but someone suggested that the commit won't work in this scenario.
Here is bits of the code that I'm using. By the time insertCustomer is invoked, custID is already populated. The insert works because I checked the table afterwards using a sql query and all my entries posted are there.

If I understand correctly, you want to pass distinct values to report parameter. In Reporting Service, there are only three methods for parameter's Available Values:
None
Specify values
Get values from a query
If we utilize the third option that get values from a dataset query, then the all available values are from the returns of the dataset. So if we want to pass distinct values from a dataset, we need to make the dataset returns distinct values. The following
sample is for your reference:
Select distinct field_name from table_name
