Did the ios 8.3 update now i can tview photos from the camera app and the photos wont save to my photos app.

I just did the  new ios 8.3 update for my iPhone. I've been trying to take pictures from the camera app and it wont allow me to click on the picture to view it  and none of the new photos are saving to my photos app or if you send a picture through text it doesn't save the original to the photo app either. is this a problem with the new version of ios or have a maybe selected something to not allow me to add more photos? I only have 400 photos saved on my phone so its not a fact of not having enough space. any help would be greatly appreciated

Hello Mark Entel,
I have the same problem with my Hyundai Sonata 2011.
I am already wrote a bug report to apple. Here i will past it again:
Hello,
I have a problem with synchronization.
Here steps to reproduce it:
1. Plug iPhone with iOS 8.3 via Original Cable ( USB + 3.5mm on 30 pin) + original adapter from 30 pin to lighting.
2. Verify that music plays and iPod menu successfully loaded.
3. Unplug cable from iPhone.
4. Plug it again.
expected result:
- Ipod menu Loaded. The song plays from place where it was stopped by unplugged.
actual result:
- initialization error
My Device: Iphone 5s
IOS: 8.3
Car: Hyundai Sonata 2011 (YF ; 6 generation)
On all previous IOS it was worked fine.
Fix for this issue:
- Reboot phone and plug it again. But after unplug and plug it again the issue still reproducible. Only reboot can helps.
Please try to fix it.
Kind Regards, Vladislav Ishkov

I'm not sure I do follow this, what do you mean with motions? can you specify this?. I assume you used Photodownloader? BTW, Not paying attention is usually not the best way when importing images...

When you import files they are written to your disk and therefor no need for save them, the files are already at your disk or written to the location you choose as destination. You could select your computername in the navigation column and then use the list view and choose the column last modified but this is not always showing the correct result. You could also do a spotlight search (or use the free Easy Find you can download from Devon) and choose to search for the extension you have shot your files in (Raw, jpeg??) and then choose modification date to sort.
There is not a log (at least not to my knowledge) that keeps track of all of your movements unless you have installed such application (don't know if there is one but I think there will be a thrid party or script written by someone). You could try Console (in the utilities folder) that holds your logs and reports but this is usually for crash or forced quit situations.

Well, this would mean you would have first select the option to do so in Photodownloader. While I use PDL on a daily base I always thought this option should not even be present to choose and you certainly should not use it to delete originals.
Like Curt already stated you have to use the camera software for this with the card in the camera. Either delete but preferable format the card. Mind you, this should not be done before you are sure where your files are written to and after you have checked randomly to see if the previews have build correctly for the newly imported files. Then you should make a back up of those files and only then start thinking about erasing or formatting the card for new use.
If you have not done very strange things (like choosing the card as destination but if so they might still be there- check finder in column mode- or wrote them to an external disk - where they also still should be) the files should be somewhere at your system. Just do an extensive search and if the files are really important check for recovering software for your card.
And follow the steps described above for importing, sometimes we need to learn our lessons the hard way (and I have been there too...)

  • I know Apple has pulled the iOS 8.01 update but how can I clear the update icon that is on my settings icon?

How do I clear the update icon that is appearing on my settings icon now that the iOS 8.01 update has been pulled?

You're saying you don't back up your phone regularly? You should ALWAYS back up before updating your phone. That said, try resetting first: hold down the home button and the power button for at least 10-20 seconds until you see the Apple. Hopefully you can then try to perform the update again. Start doing backups if your data is important to you.

  • How to transfer photos from a camera chip to the Mac Pro Desk Top.

How to transfer photos from a camera chip to my Mac Pro Desk Top?

Take the memory card out of the camera and insert it into a card reader then use Finder to copy the iomages over to a folder on the Mac desktop.
Basically the exact same way you would do it on any make or model computer.

  • My WiFi name and password has changed. Did someone hack my WiFi? My computer can connect but not my iPhone 5s, and the connection for my computer is full, please help.

Hello, this is my first post.
Well lately I've been experiencing some connection issues with my iPhone 5s. I was on my iPhone just watching Youtube when my iPhone 5s disconnected, I tried to connect again by going to settings> Wi-FI> and then select my network as usual, but the weird thing is that my Wi-Fi network has changed it's name to Wireless, it used to be Wireless710. Also the password has been changed.
My computer can easily connect due to the fact that it is hardwired to the Wireless Cable Modem Gateway.
    Extra Info:
    Carrier is Sprint.
I am using Windows 7 Ultimate.
My Wireless Cable Modem Gateway is Netgear.
And now I am confused because when I open the small tab with the computer and a plug on the bottom right corner next to the speaker icon it says I'm not connected :/?! Here is a picture of it:
Note that I can not connect to it but am connected on my computer. It just disappeared on my phone and computer, I even unplugged my router waited for 20 seconds and connected it back in. Did it wok? for my computer yes again because it is hardwired, but my phone? No. Wireless 710 still won't show up. Is this a possible hack? Please help me as much as you all can, thank you very much.

Log in to the router's console with a web browser from your computer. What kind of encryption did you have on the router? If it was WEP that's about as secure as no encryption. It should be WPA or WPA2. There has been an exploit reported in Netgear and Linksys routers that allows someone connected to the router if Remote Access to the console is enabled to take it over and install spyware on it.
Is it your router, or the cable providers? If it is yours it has been hacked. If it belongs to the cable provider they may have changed it to make it more secure. Call them.
And if it has been hacked and is yours the best thing to do is to throw it away and get a new, more secure router. Or you can try reflashing the firmware by going to Netgear's site and downloading a clean copy.

  • Did a little too much maintenence - now I can't boot from my system drive

I figured I'd watch the Bears game this afternoon and do a little maintenence on my G4/733, currently runnint 10.4.9.
I booted from an older (10.3.9) system disk I have in the computer, Verified the disk (all was well, no repairs needed), then booted from my Disk Warrior (Tiger) disk and rebuilt the directory. Booted from the newly verified and rebuilt disk and it started up fine. Then ran Onyx and emptied several caches, including the system cache and kernel cache. Ooops, no longer boots...instead, I get the grey Apple screen, and then it just sits. When this happened the first time, I reset the PRAM by pressing the restart button six times...still no boot action.
The drive mounts fine, and so I'm in the process of copying the entire volume over to an external drive before performing any more maintenence. I can't do an archive and install from my supplied OS disc, as it's a lower OS version than I'm currently running. I'm loathe to do an erase and install, as then I get to perform the always-painful "make the computer work like it used to" process. And, the maintenence steps I've taken on this drive are nothing I haven't done recently on my other two Macs (both now running 10.4.10), both of which are running fine. So I'm still classifying this glitch as "minor".
Any suggestions out there? I'm gonna try to repair the disk again, and then run the OS 10.4.10 upgrade, unless I hear different from anyone here. Idears?

I had a similar problem. A mac started doing wierd things like not starting. All the tests showed no problem except one..I ran TechTool and did a full surface scan. It showed some bad blocks. The only way to repair was to clone to a back-up----erase and zero out the whole drive---then restore from the back-up.
That cured it....even a disk utility did not see the error.
Bad blocks can happen anytime, it may be no big deal but if this is your problem check it every so often and if more start showing up....start shopping..
    Cheers,
    Glynn

  • I had a pw saved for a site but had to change it so I deleted it in the saved pw tool. Now I can't get FF to ask me if I want to save it again. Pain in the butt to have to keep typing in my ID and pw each time. HELP!

No more details than what I stated. FF won't ask to store my pw for a site where I once had a pw stored. I had to change it so I deleted it in the tools area and thought it would prompt me the next time but it didn't and hasn't for months...

Also make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

    * Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.<br />
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.

  • I want to store photos from my camera on to the I pad on holiday is 2.3gb storage enough

I am off n holiday and plan to take loads of photos I would like to down load from the camera into the I pad . I have looked at the I pad and it says I have 2.3 gb of storage will thus be enough as I am worried I will run out . I also wanted to download some simple games to play when there as well.

I think the idea of transferring pictures from your camera directly to an external hard drive and then view them on your ipad through the camera connection kit is a great idea but I don't know if that exists. Someone else here might help you there.
First, if you plan on taking hundreds or thousands of photos 2.3 gb probably is not enough space. Assuming you're trying not to have to take a laptop with you, would you consider buying a wireless external hard drive such as the Seagate Go Flex, the Seagate 1 tb wirele$$ mobile hdd with built-in wi-fi. There are also other brands with different amounts of space that will also work with the ipad. With one of these you can store all of your files currently on your ipad on the wireless external hd to free up as much space as possible on your ipad so you can transfer pictures from the camera to the ipad through the camera connection kit.
You can also upload games, ibooks, movies, music, itunes playlists, etc. to the wireless external hd from your computer before you go and play, view, etc., them on your ipad as you travel while keeping your ipad free to store your pictures. Be sure to back up your ipad and all contents before you leave for your trip. Then when you get home you can sync all of your pictures to your computer and put back onto your ipad all of your content saved on your computer.
Personally, I'd also keep the filled sd cards as security in an sd card holder in a safe at your hotel, just in case... They often go on sale in larger stores. I've bought many extra 8 and 4 gb sd cards when they are on sale at Best Buy (the 8 gb are usually $24.99 and I get them when they're $9.99.)
At least consider a wireless external hard drive. Check gb space and price, read reviews, then decide, and have a great trip!

  • How do I move photos from my camera roll to the library on ipad 2

ok I want my photos to be in the library and they only show up in camera roll so when I am on Facebook and want to add a status photo I click on photo and it says choose from library and then when I click on camera roll it closes so I have to get them into photo stream. instead of camera roll.

Copy them from your iPad to your computer and then sync them into your photo library.

  • Why is my iPad so slow or freezing since the iOS 8.02 update?

Why is my iPad so slow or freezing since the iOS 8.02 update?

Do a reset, no data loss.  Hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the ipad to boot back up.
If that doesn't help - settings - general - reset - reset network settings - no data loss, however you will need to reenter known wifi passwords.
