Diff between Payroll Posting & Payment Posting

Hi Friends,
Whats difference between Payment Posting & Payroll Posting
regards
Praveen P

Thanks for the input.
After running the payroll posting, do we need to run Payment Posting for all the employees.
Which table will it update after payment posting.
If we are not activated PRE DME and DME. do we still need to run payment posting.

  • Diff between asynchronous and syncronous posting

    Hi,
Please may i know the difference between the asynchronous and synchronous posting in the FB60
    regards
    paveeee...

    Dear Praveen,
Synchronous posting would update the database and would give you the message accordingly. For example, Dataabse updated successfully or not updated. Synchronous database update During processing, no transaction is started until the previous transaction has been written to the database.
Asynchronous posting would not update the database. It would not wait for the completion of updation process but would say the data is submitted for updation. You would not be sure whether the data is updated successfully or not updated.
Hence, Asynchronous update is faster as it would not wait for the database updation.

  • Diff between Voluntary Down payment and mandatory down payment in EHP4

We are implementing ECC 6.0 Ehp4 funcationality.  We have an option to maintain the down payment details in the Purchase order.  There we have the option of Voluntary DP and Mandatory down payment.
What is the basic difference between the two in the subsequent process.

    Dear:
it is just a symbolic presentation which has nothing to do with the document posting, Check out the given below  link of SAP library Business add "Enhancement for Processing the Purchase Order" which has to be checked what exactly it does in the Mandatory part..
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/75/ee1fa755c811d189900000e8322d00/frameset.htm
I worked on EHP4 and didn't find any difference in using the M or V indicators on down-payment, may be while executing ME2DP you can restrict the voluntary down payments.

  • Hii Can anyone tell me is there any possibility of giving some due payment like bonus or offcycle after its termination is done along with the payroll run and posting.

Hii Can anyone tell me is there any possibility of giving some due payment like bonus or offcycle once employee termination is done along with the payroll run and posting.
    Thanx

One Possibility is by making manual entry for that employee from FI side..  (this will give you soln..) Take the help of FI consultant...
Another possibility is in IT0003 "Payroll Status".. You can opt mention next month date "Run Payroll up to" & execute Off cycle payroll for that employee...
Just try this hope this may sort your issue....
If it still it doesn't give you soln.. You may need to reverse the posting of that employee & change employment status.. Run Bonus & finally terminate the employee & do the posting..

  • Difference between FI Posting and Payment Posting

    Hello Experts,
Can anyone please throw some light on the use of Program "H99_POST_PAYMENT" (Payment Posting Program - PC00_M99_PPM)?
What does this program exactly do? Anyone who can answer me interms of Technical and Business Perspective.
Also how is this program different from Traditional Posting Program (RPCIPE00 / PC00_M99_CIPE)?
    All inputs are appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Janga K.

    Program "H99_POST_PAYMENT
    Purpose
All payments are posted automatically with this report.
    Features
If you have performed posting to Accounting (FI/CO), all open liabilities from Payroll are placed on the relevant liabilities accounts accounts, as well as the payments to employees.
In the standard system, as the payment medium is created for the payments to employees from HR, the system does not mechanically generate the corresponding liabilities accounts. Neither the DME preliminary program (programs RPCDTAx0, or RPCDTCx0 and HxxCDTC0, or RPRDTAx0 ) or the program for creating the data medium (programs RFFO*) perform posting in the FI general ledger. Therefore, if the system in HR generates the payment mediums for payments to employees, you must also perform manual postings in parallel. These manual postings are usually performed with the payment summary. In most cases, there is only one posting containing only a few posting items, that is, one posting item for each bank clearing account and each company code involved.
If, however, the liabilities are distributed according to expenses, more posting items are generated. You can no longer perform posting manually.
    Selection
With the report H99_POST_PAYMENT, all payments are evaluated regardless of whether they have been paid or not. All wage types included in table BT and table T52POST_PAYMENT count as payments.
    RPCIPE00
This program is used to post the payroll results to accounting/FI.
All wagetypes which are configured to the respective GL accounts using the symbolic account are simulated and the documents so generated using this reported are then executed thru PCP0 to have the values posted to the General Ledger.
    Thanks and Kind Regards

  • AP- Why exchange rate type between Post invoice and Post payment is differe

AP- Why exchange rate type between Post invoice and Post payment is different ?
    Hello,
    I have question
when post AP invoice , document type KR
    document date = 11.12.2009
    posting date = 31.12.2009
    entry date = 05.01.2010
this document using exchange rate type B (standard translation at bank selling rate) on 31.12.2009 (use posting date )
but when post payment for above document, document type ZP
    document date = 25.06.2010
    posting date = 25.06.2010
    entry date = 24.06.2010
this document using exchange rate type M (standard translation at average rate) on 23.06.2010
    please answer
why do post invoice and post payment use different exchange rate type?
and why at payment donot use posting date for get exchange rate ?

    Nanas,
Sorry if im not  being clear...
My point is: the difference rates customization for payments is done at FBZP.
At Paying Company Codes, you have 4 flags for exchange rates differentes.
    At Control Data look:
*Do not Post any Exchange Rate Differences:
If the indicator is not set, the difference between the exchange rate at the time of posting and the exchange rate at the time of payment is determined for items which are posted in foreign currency. The payment program uses the translation rate in the currency table in the system for this purpose.
*No Exchange Rate Differences for Partial Payments:
Has the effect that the payment program for partial payments (requests for payment using transaction F-59) does not post exchange rate differences.
*Processing of Bill of Exchange Payments:
*Separate Payment for each Payment Reference

  • Payment Posting - Replacing a direct deposit with a check

    Dear Experts,
I need your advise on the following:
Running SAP ECC 6.0 and gross to net payroll. The net pay wage type is posted to different account based on payment method (Direct deposit or check).
In instances where the employee has provided a wrong bank account number, the ACH is rejected by bank and we have to perform the payroll replacement via OC workbench to pay the amount via check. After the OCWB process we call a process model to print check and second step of the process model is to call Payment posting program (H99_POST_PAYMENT).
The payment posting step posts the amount to account for the check (as the employee is now paid via check) but it does not reverse the original entry which was made when the employee was paid via ACH.
SAP responded back saying it doesnot/cannot reverse a portion of the payment posting document when these types of adjustments are made. I wanted to reach out to other users/experts to see what process they are following to reverse the  entry.
    Any help is greatly appriciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Generally process goes this way.
If amount posted is incorrect or may be due to incorrect account provided during direct deposit.
Run prenotification program after payroll to convert direct deposit to checks for 10 days until this time bank is sent with bank account file by client to validate accounts and if there are any changes then they are made in system.
Once confirmed after 10 days automatically checks will be again converted to direct deposits for employees for whom prenotification was run.
    The steps will be :
    Payroll run
    HR Posting run
    Prenotification run
    Pre-DME run
    Print check and DME run
Also, if your client does not want prenotifcation then you will need to set-up process model to first run for reversal of postings and then to run for replacement of payment through process model set-up.
    Thanks,
    Ameet

  • Possible to clear vendor open item against already posted payment document?

    Hi
Can you advise if it is possible to clear an open item against already posted payment/clearing doc? Here is the background to the scenario:
An invoice was posted with transaction FB60. This was subsequently picked up in the payment run F110 and cleared by payment document number 200005678. The item went to the bank on the paymnet file and was paid out to the vendor. The transaction reference, which appeared on the incoming bank statemnet was the payment document number 200005678.
Subsequently it was discovered that the original invoice should have been posted with reference to a PO using MIRO. The requirement now is to reverse the paymnet documnet 200005678 in SAP, then reverse the document that was posted using FB60. After this the invoice will be posted using MIRO. This will create an open item on the vendor account.
This item will not be piad out again. Therefore the requirement is to try clear that open item against the previously posted payment document 200005678.
Is there any way to clear this vendor open item against the originally posted payment document 200005678?? Or any other advice on how this scenario can be handled in SAP?
    Thank for your help.
    Mike

    Hi,
I tried that option in our test system. I ran FBRA and entered Paymnet Documnet Number (+Clearing Doc Number), Company Code, Fiscal Year.
Then chose menu option Clearing -> Reset Cleared Items.
The system pops up a window asking for a reversal reason and reversal date.  I use 01 and posting date of today.
The system now posts another cleared document. That document places the invoice as an open item on the vendor account. It does not place the Payment Document as an open item on the account.
When I go to F-44 only the open vendor invoice is showing there. There is no open paymnet document.
Is there perhaps some configuration setting that stops the placement of the paymnet document as an open item when reset?
    Thanks for your help again.

  • Payroll to FI posting error message - Document Transfer has Failed

    Hello experts,
We recently received the following error message when posting Payroll results to FI. This was not done using any process models.
    'Document Transfer has Failed'
Does anyone know why it's coming up and more importantly, how to correct it?  I looked and found an SNote: 1240870 but that seems to apply to 3PR issues not FI posting.
Anyone else had this error before?  How do I correct this?  Please help as this error needs to be corrected as soon as possible since FI will be closing the month of November soon.
    Thanks,
    Suparna

The posting run has the status Document transfer has failed. Posting to Accounting did not take place.
Depending on the error that occurred, it may be a good idea to start posting this posting run once again. If the error still occurs and it is not possible to post the posting run, you must delete the posting run and create a new one.

  • Error in posting payment document

While posting outgoing payments through T-code F-53, the client received the error message ‘The entry 1210 is missing in table T043G’ and the system did not allow the posting payment document.
Please anybody can give me solution for this.

    Hi,
even if we are facing similiar kind of problems , I will give you some info hope this helps.
for technial perspective print character will be determined from table J_1ACHRDET  in the FM   J_1A_DET_CHARACTER, code is here
                   SELECT SINGLE * FROM J_1ACHRDET
                  WHERE J_1AFITPI = X_FITYPI
                  AND   J_1AFFLAG = X_FFLAG
                  AND   J_1AFITPR = X_FITYPR
                  AND   J_1ATTYPE = LV_TTYPE.
                   X_FITYPI = T001Z-PAVAL(2)
                   X_FFLAG = blank
                   X_FITYPR = I_FITYP.             " I_FITYP is from internal table VBRK-J_1AFITP ( tax type)
LV_TTYPE  is from  J_1ACHRDET-J_1ATTYPE.  " type of transaction based on land and  region values are D or  E or  I
branch will be determined from TVTA table
SAP will apend   character branch and sequence number and gives official numbering
for functional perspective you need to do configuration based on your requirements
here is the path is SPRO -> Cross-Application Components -> General Application Functions -> Cross-Application Document Numbering -> Argentina
please add point if this is useful
