Difference between addChild and internal movieclip

Hi all,
What is the difference bettween addChild and the movieclip which is in the movieclip.
we can get those instance from getChildAt() but
as per the internal movieclip we can get instance from "mc.mcInternal".
But when i addChild in "mc" we unable to get that instance from this method "mc.mcInternal".
what is the diffecenct between addChild and internal movieclip.
Thanks in Advance
flashgeeks.

When you create child movieclips inside a parent movieclip, Flash Pro automatically declares member variables for them, so you can access them by "mc.mcInternal". If you add child to a movieclip at runtime, member variables are no longer declared automatically.
You either declare member variable yourself (public var myMc:MovieClip;) or you can always access it by myParentMc.getChildByName("myChildMcName");
Otherwise, there's no difference between the two. Only one more thing to keep in mind: If you put movieclip into another movieclip, you control its z-orderby its layer. When you add child by addChild() method, children are put into "depths", not layers anymore. The lowest depth is just above the highest layer. If you want to addChild() to a specific layer, you have to create an empty movieClip (a holder) in Flash Pro, put it in desired layer and then call myHolder.addChild(childMc).

my requiremen is to have three condition checkec while mofifying or updating from a internal table
    the three fields are

    status

so which sould i use modify or update
there might be entry already existing in database table or new entry to be created if already existin it should check on the primary keys and updatat if not it should add a record
pls suggest whihc to use and how to implement the check on teh threee primary key
like if modify ztable from table it_test
now where condition ? can be used or not with modify? and if yes how
if not should i use update will update create a new entry if no entry is there and please give syntex
    regards

    Hi Nishant Arora,
Modify: It works in performing two actions.
    They are: Insert + Update.
For Example If a record that is exited in database, so you are modifying that record, it updates that particular record.
Similarly, If the is not existed in the database, you are modifying it, it inserts a new record.
Update: Update means just it updates the status, I mean it only updates the record. It doesn't inserts any new record if that particular record is not present in the database.
These are the cases you need to write these statements.
    Syntaxes: :

  • Difference between DOWNLOAD and GUI_DOWNLOAD

    hi
let me know the difference between DOWNLOAD and GUI_DOWNLOAD  and    giv me clear  idea  of wat  and wat not should be done with respect to  conversion  from download to gui_Download??????
give me clear process of  putting my download  data  into my  own defined file name ..  during   manual   and    backgrnd job. process..
    thanks inadvance

    Hi Shaik,
DOWNLOAD function module is obsolete now and DOWNLOAD as well as WS_DOWNLOAD should be replaced by GUI_DOWNLOAD function module.
The only matter you need to be careful off is mapping the parameters correctly.
Also, you have asked "during manual and backgrnd job. process.. " , well GUI_DOWNLOAD or any download module for downloading to Presentation server CANNOT be used in the background.
Because background work processes are run on application server level and do not have access to the desktop of any PS.
For downloading to the presentation server essentially, pass the contents of internal table to DATA_TAB tables parameter and pass the presentation server file name to FILENAME importing parameter.
    Cheers,

  • What's the difference between 2nd and 3rd generation

PLEASE HELP! New Apple user and looking to purchase a used 2nd or 3rd generation ipod touch.
what's the difference between 2nd and 3rd generation?
apparently I am told that the 2nd gen does not have the capabilities of listening without headphone? and the 3rd gen does??

    Hi maximumslowness - (great name),
The 2nd gen Touch has one internal speaker, so you can listen to it, (both left and right channels) without headphones.
However - it's a small single speaker and it is not very loud. It's not designed for quality listening (neither is the speaker on the 3rd gen as far as I know) and probably will not be adequate if there is a lot of background noise nearby.
One option is to drop the iPod (not literally!) into an iPod Docking station so that the sound can play out through a self-contained mains-powered amplified speaker, which will also charge your iPod. There are many on the market. On the bottom of the iPod is the 30-pin dock connector which can be used to feed the audio to a docking station. Another option is simply to use a cable to connect from the headphone socket to the audio input on any amplifier.
Yet another is to plug in a small fold-up style speakers, such as
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Portable-Folding-Speakers-iPods-Players/dp/B000A1QKNU/re f=sr_1_84?ie=UTF8&qid=1332326622&sr=8-84

I've no idea how good the sound is, you'll have to judge that for yourself. The links are both to a UK store, but most countries will have a similar option.
I do not recieve any form of payment or compensatiion for the above links.

  • Differences between LSMW and BDC

    Hi All
Please can you give me the few points about the differences between LSMW and BDC?
    Awaiting for your Responce
    Praveen

Hai Check with the following document
    GOOD
THERE IS THREE TYPE OF METHOD IN BDC
    BDC SESSION
    CALL TRANSACTION
    CALL DIALOG
What is BDC or batch input
The Batch Input is a SAP technic that allows automating the input in transactions. It lies on a BDC (Batch Data Commands) scenario.
    BDC functions:
    · BDC_OPEN_GROUP : Opens a session group
    · BDC_CLOSE_GROUP : Closes a session
    · BDC_INSERT : Insert a BDC scenario in the session
    · The ABAP statement "CALL TRANSACTION" is also called to run directly a transaction from its BDC table.
It runs the program RSBDCSUB in order to launch automatically the session. The session management is done through the transaction code SM35.
The object itself is maintanable through the transaction SE24.
    BDC methods:
    Method
    Description
    Parameters
    OPEN_SESSION
    Opens a session
SUBRC (Return Code – 0 OK)
    SESSIONNAME (Session to be created)
    CLOSE_SESSION
    Closes a session
    None
    RESET_BDCDATA
    Resets the BDC Internal Table...
    None. Normally, for internal purpose…
    BDC_DYNPRO
    Handles a new screen
    PROGNAME (Name of the program)
    DYNPRONR (Screen Number)
    BDC_FIELD
Puts a value on the screen
    FIELDNAME (Name of the field)
    FIELDVALUE (Value to be passed)
    CONSTRUCTOR
    Constructor - Initializes NO_DATA
NODATA (No data character). The constructor is called automatically when the object is created.
    RUN_SESSION
    Launches a session with RSBDCBTC
    None
    CALL_TRANSACTION
Calls a transaction with the current BDC Data
    MODE (Display Mode)
    UPDATE (Update Mode)
    TCODE (Transaction to be called)
    BDC_INSERT
Inserts the BDC scenario in the session
    TCODE (Transaction to be called)
    BDC techniques used in programs:
    1) Building a BDC table and calling a transaction,
    2) Building a session and a set of BDC scenarios and keeping the session available in SM35,
    3) Building a session and lauching the transaction right after closing the session.
    BDC using Call Transaction
BDC using Call transaction involves calling an SAP transaction in back ground from within the ABAP
program. The process involves building an Internal BDC table containing the screen information needed to
execute the required transaction and then passing this to the Call transaction command (See code example).
The full procedure for creating a BDC program is as follows:
What is the difference between batch input and call transaction in BDC?
    Session method.
    1) synchronous processing.
    2) can tranfer large amount of data.
    3) processing is slower.
    4) error log is created
    5) data is not updated until session is processed.
    Call transaction.
    1) asynchronous processing
    2) can transfer small amount of data
    3) processing is faster.
    4) errors need to be handled explicitly
    5) data is updated automatically
    BATINPUT/DIRECT INPUT
A: Batch-inputs can not be used to fill the "delivery due list" screen because it is not a dynpro. This is a standard SAP report. A SAP report (check with "System -> Status") may be called using SUBMIT sentence with the appropriate options . It is preferred to call a report than create a Batch-input program.

The LSM Workbench is an SAP R/3 based tool that supports the one-time or periodic transfer of data from non-SAP systems ("legacy systems") to SAP systems.
The LSM Workbench helps you to organize your data migration project and guides you through the process by using a clear sequence of steps.
The most common conversion rules are predefined. Reusable conversion rules assure consistent data conversion for different data objects.
    LSMW vs DX Workbench
The LSM Workbench covers the following steps:
Read the legacy data from one or several files (e.g. spreadsheet tables, sequential files).
Convert the data from source format to target format.
Import the data using standard interfaces (Batch Input, Direct Input, BAPI, IDoc).
Experiences made in successful implementation projects have shown that using the LSM Workbench significantly contributes to accelerating data migration.
SAP provides this tool along with documentation to customers and partners free of charge.
Users of the LSM Workbench receive the usual support via SAP Net - R/3 Frontend (component BC-SRV-DX-LSM).
    Releases:
Version 1.7.2 of the LSM Workbench ("LSMW 1.7.2") available
    Attention : LSMW 1.7.2 requires an SAP R/3 system with SAP R/3 4.0 or SAP R/3 4.5.
Version 1.8.0 of the LSM Workbench (1.21mb) ("LSMW 1.8.0") available
Attention : LSMW 1.8.0 requires an SAP R/3 system with SAP R/3 4.6.
Version 3.0 of the LSM Workbench (1.89mb) ("LSMW 3.0") available for Web Application Server 6.10
Attention : LSMW 3.0 requires a SAP WAS 6.10. Functionality of version 1.7.2 and 3.0 are identical !
Version 4.0 of the LSM Workbench ("LSMW 4.0") integrated in Web Application Server 6.20
Attention : LSMW 4.0 is an integrated part of SAP WAS 6.20.

  • Differences between C350D and C350

    Hello,
what is the differences between C350D and C350?
    Thanks

    Hi There,
C3x0D was designed as an outbound only box, the idea being that your internal servers would send mast amounts of mail to the C3x0D and we process and deliver.
    The main differences are:
    1: Multiple IP Interfaces
Deliver from 256 source addresses to minimise rate limiting issues
2: Configurable Source IP per destination
Nominate specific source IP for certain destinations
    3: Virtual Gateways
10,000 Concurrent connections, delivery queue per destination
    4: Domain Key signatures
Validate you are the trusted source of the mail
    5: Destination Controls
Control delivery rates to suit ISP acceptance policies
6: Configurable Bounce profiles per destination
Customize retries and delay periods for differing destinations
    7: Message and Content Filters
Apply disclaimers, unsubscribe information and tracking headers
    8: Optional Sophos engine
Ensure clean mail only is sent
More information on the support portal regarding C350D, or messenger me and I will send you the pdf.
    Laters :)

  • What is the difference between subroutine and function module?

What is the difference between subroutine and function module?

    Hi,
    they can both return values.
FMs are mainly used when a routine is to be performed by many programs.
Subroutines (forms) are generally only executed within one program.
You can perform routines from other programs, but it's not often done.
both forms and FMs are reusable modularization units.
To distinguish we generally say that forms are used for internal modularization and
FMs are used for external modularization.
To decide on which to implement, consider whether you need the content to be used just for a limited program
or wheteher it can be called from many independent programs.
For the first purpose it is better to implement a form whereas for the second we implement an FM.
However, ABAP does not isolate the usage context.
That is; you can call a form from another program within whose code the form is not actually implemented.
However, this requires attention since the form may utilize global variables.
The same issue holds for FMs.
FMs are encapsulated in function groups and function groups may have global variables that can be globally
used by all FMs inside it.
    Thanks,

  • What is the difference betwee STRUCTRUE AND INTERNAL TABLE

what is the difference betwee STRUCTRUE AND INTERNAL TABLE

    Hi
    <b>Internal table  </b>
    Internal Tables are runtime objects.
    A.     The lines of an internal table always have the same structure
    B.     You have to define the structure of the internal table at the begining.
    C.     Internal tables require special work area for interface
    Types:
    STANDARD table
Key access to a standard table uses a linear search. This means that the time required for a search is in linear relation to the number of table entries.
You should use index operations to access standard tables.
    SORTED table
Defines the table as one that is always saved correctly sorted.
Key access to a sorted table uses a binary key. If the key is not unique, the system takes the entry with the lowest index. The runtime required for key access is logarithmically related to the number of table entries.
    HASHED table
Defines the table as one that is managed with an internal hash procedure
You can only access a hashed table using the generic key operations or other generic operations ( SORT, LOOP, and so on). Explicit or implicit index operations (such as LOOP ... FROM oe INSERT itab within a LOOP) are not allowed.
    <b> Structure         </b>
Structure are data dictionary objects.     Tcode -SE11
No data records exist in the database for a structure. Structures are used for the interface definition between programs or between screens and programs.

  • Difference  Between Provide and RP-PROVIDE-FROM-LAST  in ABAP-HR

what is the Difference Between Provide and RP-PROVIDE-FROM-LAST  IN hR. IF I want to retrieve data in BETTWEEN BEGDA AND ENDDA. what these 2 ill return.
Both ill return the LAtest record. plz  let me know what ill happen.
      With Regards,
       Venkata Suresh K

PROVIDE is like a loop statement and it reads records between BEGDA and ENDDA. There is a lot to it, you can read doc...
RP-PROVIDE-.. _> This is like read table.
It is similar to : Sort itab descending. read itab index 1.
If you want data between BEGDA and ENDDA and you have 2 internal tables, you can use PROVIDE. Otherwise, you can use a normal LOOP statement. Provide is helpful if you want to get data from more than 1 table.
For eg: Infotype 0000 has 2 records from 1.1.2000 to 1.1.2006, and 2.1.2006 to 31.12.9999, and Infotype 0185 has 1 record from 1.1.2005 to 31.12.9999.
If you use a provide BETWEEN BEGDA and endda in this case, it will run through the loop 3 times with these dates :
    1.1.2000 to 31.12.2004.
    1.1.2005 to 1.1.2006
    2.1.2006 to 31.12.9999
If a record is not there in one of the internal tables during the date, there is a PNNNN_VALID flag which is filled up (4.6c) and in mySAP onwards, you have explicit valid flags.
Hope it helps. Please reward points if helpful.
    Regards.

  • Difference between poh and pov in module pool programming

    hi all,
pls tell me difference between poh and pov and how i check validation in screen

    Hi,
    POV gives you F4 help.
    like:
You can call dialog modules in the POV event using the event keyword PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
    PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST.
      FIELD f MODULE mod.
After the PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST statement, you can only use the MODULE statement together with the FIELD statement. When the user chooses F4 for a field f, the system calls the module mod belonging to the FIELD statement. If there is more than one FIELD statement for the same field f, only the first is executed. The module mod is defined in the ABAP program like a normal PAI module. However, the contents of the screen field f are not available, since it is not transported by the FIELD statement during the PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST event. You can now program your own value lists in the module. However, this procedure is only recommended if it really is not possible to use a search help. Defining search helps is much easier than PROCESS ON VALUE-REQUEST, since the system takes over some of the standard operations, such as getting field contents from the screen. It also ensures that the F4 help has a uniform look and feel throughout the system. Furthermore, it means that you do not have to reassign input help to fields on each screen.
Despite the introduction of search helps (and search help exits), there are still cases in which you need to use parts of the standard F4 functions directly. In this case, there are some standard function modules that you can use in the POV event. They support search helps, as well as all other kinds of input help, and are responsible for data transport between the screen and the input help. These alll  have the prefix F4IF_. The most important are:
    ·        F4IF_FIELD_VALUE_REQUEST
Calls the input help of the ABAP Dictionary dynamically. You can pass the component names of a structure or database table of the ABAP Dictionary to the function module in the import parameters TABNAME and FIELDNAME. The function module starts the ABAP Dictionary input help for this component. All of the relevant screen fields are read. If you specify the import parameters DYNPPROG, DYNPNR, and DYNPROFIELD, the user’s selection is returned to the corresponding field on the screen. If you specify the table parameter RETURN_TAB, the selection is returned into the table instead.
    ·        F4IF_INT_TABLE_VALUE_REQUEST
This function module displays a value list that you created in an ABAP program. The self-programmed value list is passed to the function module as the table parameter VALUE_TAB. If you specify the import parameters DYNPPROG, DYNPNR, and DYNPROFIELD, the user’s selection is returned to the corresponding field on the screen. If you specify the table parameter RETURN_TAB, the selection is returned into the table instead.
There are also two function modules - DYNP_VALUES_READ and DYNP_VALUES_UPDATE - that can read the values of screen fields and return values to them during the POV event. For further information, refer to the relevant function module documentation.

    like:
If data element supplement documentation is insufficient for your requirements, or you want to display help for program fields that you have not copied from the ABAP Dictionary, you can call dialog modules in the POH event:
    PROCESS ON HELP-REQUEST.
FIELD  is defined in the ABAP program like a normal PAI module. The processing logic of the module must ensure that adequate help is displayed for the field in question. Instead of calling an extra screen with text fields, you should use one of the following function modules to display a suitable SAPscript document:
    HELP_OBJECT_SHOW_FOR_FIELD
This function module displays the data element documentation for components of any structure or database table from the ABAP Dictionary. You pass the name of the component and structure or table to the import parameters FIELD and TABLE.
    HELP_OBJECT_SHOW
Use this function module to display any SAPscript document. You must pass the document class (for example, TX for general texts, DE for data element documentation) and the name of the document to the import parameters DOKCLASS and DOKNAME. For technical reasons, you must also pass an empty internal table with the line type TLINE to the tables parameter of the function module.

I have started learing ABAP recently.
I have a serious doubt. I'll be obliged if anyone spend some time to solve my doubt and help me to improve further.

  • Difference between Legal and Managerial consolidation?

    Hi,
Can you guys please share your knowledge for this question
Difference between Legal and Managerial consolidation?
    Thanks,
    Charly

This is quite a general question and should not be answered only in context of BPC.
Paraphrasing your question is not really a help.
In general a Legal Consolidation is one whose purpose is to meet statutory requirements [whereever/whatever they are].
For example generating data for Shareholders on an annual basis in Glossy Annual reports.
A managerial consolidation may be similiar in several ways, but focuses on internal factors and may have a different entity structure than that of the Legal structure. Management reports are typically used at the end of any given reporting cycle (actual/budget/forecast etc) and allow 'management' to guage the performance/review the data of their business.
I suggest looking this up on the various financial websites, where you will get better definitions.
Of course in BPC it is possible to do Legal consolidations without 'legal ownership cubes' and this is what many 4.2 customers have done.
In modern BPC i would check the scope of the consolidaton requirements before choosing any 'bpc consolidation methodology'
Raghu's links are also useful in context of BPC.

  • Difference between party and service

    Hi,
I know  when we are going to  party and service (Normally party means. when we are doing Business to Business ) but what is exact difference  between party and service.. and if possible  definitions  also..
    Thanks
    Babu.

    Babu,
    Refer to url http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/87/1d6e3fefa13042e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
    An excerpt
Services without a party are typically used when configuring company-internal processes. Parties (with assigned services) are typically used when configuring cross-company processes.
Also refer to one of your previous forum questions and my response Re: Business System and Business Service Posted: Nov 28, 2007 4:31 PM in response to: BABU
You usually use business system services when configuring internal company processes.
You usually use business services when configuring cross-company processes. In this case, you only make your interfaces known to the business partners involved and either do not make any details about your own system landscape available, or only specific details.
    Hope this helps,
    Mike

  • What Are the Differences Between String and StringBuffer?

Both String and StringBuffer are final classes. StringBuffer grows in size dynamically. Could people help to detail other differences between String and StringBuffer?

String is immutable. In other words, once it is made, the contents of that instance of String cannot be changed (easily). The size and characters cannot be changed, and code can take advantage of this fact to optimize space. Also, once you have a reference to a string, you do not need to worry about it changing at all, so you can eliminate constant tests to verify things such as size in another class that may want to hold onto the string.
StringBuffer, as you noticed, can change dynamically. While this provides flexibility, it cannot be optimized and assumptions cannot be made as with strings. If a class holds a reference to a StringBuffer that it does not own, there is a possibility that it may change things such as size when the class tries to use it later. StringBuffer is also less efficient in handling space then an equivalent String. The character array to hold a String is exactly the length to hold all the characters. StringBuffer, on the other hand, adds a 16 character buffer of array space for possible expansions. Also, the size of the internal array doubles when its internal capacity is exceeded. So, unless you explicitly maintain the size, a StringBuffer will take up more memory then an equivalent String, and if your program needs thousands of instances of Strings (which is not uncommon), that space can add up.
I hope this helps clarify some things for you.
