  • Difference between Business Analyst SAP SD and SAP SD consultant

    Hi friends
I need openion about what is difference between Business Analyst SAP SD and SAP SD consultant.
    Raj

Both the roles are more likely the same, In consulting companies like IBM, Deloitte , TCS and others SAP functional anlayst is a more popular term but if you work directly with a SAP client - SAP Business Analyst is what they refer to a functional anlayst. Most of the responsibilities are same but they are some roles which require more of ANALYST person who can gather requirements, GAP Analysis, IS - TO BE and etc and less of configuration or customization in SAP therefore they sometimes call it SAP Business Analyst but in both cases the configuration knowledge and experience about specific modules is required.
    Thanks

  • Difference between cleared items, open items and all postings (FI).

    Hi experts,
Can anybody tell me the difference between cleared items, open items and all postings for an account.
While running corresponding bapis and transaction FAGLL03 (for GL) or FBL1N (for accounts payable) i found that in some cases all postings is less than cleared items or open items for a time period. How could it happen.According to my knowledge all postings should contain cleared items and open items.
    Please correct me..
    Thanks and Regards
    Arjun

    Hi Arjun,
For every Billing Documnet created(VBRK/VBRP-VBELN) there will be an accounting document created in BSID/BSAD tables.
OPEN ITEMS means the Billed/Invoice Amounts that are pending from Customers, i.e which we have to receive from Customers.
CLOSED ITEMS means the AMOUNTS received from that customer.
OPEN ITEMS : fetch data from BSID table Only
CLOSED ITEMS : fetch data from BSAD only.
ALL POSTINGS : fetch data from both BSID and BSAD.
    Hope this will help.

  • Counter KF with 1 & 0 and difference between data type NUMBER (DEC) and INTEGER (INT4)

    Hi,
I need to create a counter kf which should populate 1 and 0 to this counter field. Please let me know is there any difference between data type
    NUMBER (DEC) and INTEGER (INT4).
    Please suggest.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Pavan kumar

    Hi Pavan,
The basic difference between Number(DEC) and INT4 is its internal storage in system.
For Number (DEC) - Value internally stored as packed number with 3 decimal places whereas INT 4 as 4 byte integer without decimal places.
For counter KF, you can go for INT 4.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks

  • Difference between a B/S ac and P&L ac

    Hi Guys,
What is the basic difference between a Balance sheet AC and a P&L AC.
How can i know by looking at an account in SAP whether it is a BS ac or P&L ac.
What is the major difference. Because in both accounts we make postings. Then where does the difference come.
How does the system or we interpret the difference.
    Thanks
    srik.

    Hi Sirkanth,
Profit and loss A/c is a Nominal account. It discloses net operational results (Profit or loss) for a particular period will be displayed.
Balance sheet is not an account. It is a statement. But it will be prepared with the help of Real and Personal accounts balances as on a specified date (Usually at the end of the year).
Balance accounts should be carried forward to the next fiscal year whereas Profit and Loss A/c accounts should not be carried forward to the next fiscal year. These accounts balances should be carried forward to Retained Earnings A/c. Finally the Retained Account shows net results (Profit or Loss). and the Retained Earnings A/c should be transferred to Liabilities side of the Balance Sheet.
P&L A/s shows the net results (Profit or Loss) whereas the Balance Sheet shows the Financial Position of a Business as on a particular date.
A profit and loss account reports the results of activity over a period of time, usually one year. A balance sheet reports the situation (assets, liabilities and equity) at a point in time.
The Profit and Loss Statement reports (Revenue - Expenses) Net Income (Net Profit) and it accumulates throughout one fiscal (business) year and is restarted from zero at the end of the year.
The Balance Sheet reports the value of the entity (person or business). Assets = Liabilities + Equity. Its accounts start from zero at the beginning and continue to accumulate until the business closes.
These are some differences between Balance sheet and Profit and Loss account.
    Hope this will clear.

  • Difference between HR Forms Smartforms sapscript and PE51

    Hai all,
Could anyone give me the exact difference between HR Forms Smartforms sapscript and PE51.
    Thanks in advance,
    S.Jenibalet.

    HR Forms
The Layout Editor can be used is Adobe Designing tool or Smart form Tool.
The HR Forms Workplace (which will be called the Forms Workplace from now
on) will enable you in future to create flexible reports with an attractive layout for HR master data,
personnel time data, and payroll results.
    Smartforms
SMARTFORMS as the SAPScript successor tool is also used to generate formatted documents which can contain logos, tables and other formatting objects. And this documents can look like a pre-printed documents that normal ABAP codes cannot possible. The SAP SmartForms replace the SAPscript forms. SAP SmartForms offer the following advantages: 1)Creating and maintaining forms requiring half the time 2) Adapting forms without any programming knowledge due to entirely graphical user interface 3) Web Publishing using the generated XML output Here you will get some SAP SMARTFORMS tutorials and PDF guides to download.
You use SAP Smart Forms to create and maintain forms for mass printing in SAP Systems. As
output medium SAP Smart Forms support a printer, a fax, e-mail, or the Internet (by using the
    generated XML output).
    sapscript
SAPSCRIPTS are used to generate formatted documents which can contain logos, tables and other formatting objects. And this documents can look like a pre printed documents that normal ABAP codes cannot possible. SAPscript comprises these five components: 1)an editor for entering and editing the lines of a text. 2)styles and forms for print layout. 3)the composer as central output module. 4)a programming interface 5)several database tables for storing texts, styles and forms. Here you will get some SAPSCRIPTS tutorials and Pdf guides to download.
    PE51
There are Limitataions for PE51.You can use only for HR module specifically for Payroll.

    Hello All,
What is the difference between project workflow activities 'UpdateProjectProperty' and 'UpdateTextProperty' in visual studion 2012?

    Hi,
Both are developed with .NET framework, per my knowledge, the biggest difference would be the environment they applied to: one for Windows platform, one for SharePoint platform:

  • What is the difference between the HP OfficeJet 6830 and 6835?

What is the difference between the HP OfficeJet 6830 and 6835?

I just blew 20 minutes with HP support trying to get this answered since the full stats for the 6835 aren't available on HP's website.   The offshore support person went painfully through the specs stating the obvious (they both print, fax, scan, copy), and other info that I could read on the box.  She was most concerned with trying to get me to order a printer over the phone.    My suspicion is that they are in fact the same machine.  Many manufacturers agree not to place the same exact product in a warehouse club that is sold via regular retail channels.   I think the 6835 is the club version of the 6830.   I think I saw on the box that the 6835 included the USB cable, so that may be the difference that allows them to sell it at clubs with a different model number.  Of course, if you're replacing a printer, you should have a USB cable, so go with the cheapest deal.

  • Difference between SAP BW 3.5 and SAP BI 7.0

    Hi all,
actually, i work on SAP BW 3.5, now for new project need knowledge of
    SAP BI  7.0
pls, help regarding the differences between SAP BW 3.5 and
    SAP BI  7.0
    it is little urgent.
    tks in advance

    1. In Infosets now you can include Infocubes as well.
    2. The Remodeling transaction helps you add new key figure and characteristics and handles historical data as well without much hassle. This is only for info cube.
    3. The BI accelerator (for now only for infocubes) helps in reducing query run time by almost a factor of 10 - 100. This BI accl is a separate box and would cost more. Vendors for these would be HP or IBM.
    4. The monitoring has been imprvoed with a new portal based cockpit. Which means you would need to have an EP guy in ur project for implementing the portal !
    5. Search functionality hass improved!! You can search any object. Not like 3.5
    6. Transformations are in and routines are passe! Yess, you can always revert to the old transactions too

dont be phsyco. MAy be i m good in other topic than
    u. Its time restriction i am facing. OK leave it,
dont reply any help. its ok.
ake careEvery culture has rules under which it operates. This one is no exception. It is the unspoken policy of the forum regulars to heap scorn on people who demonstrate an unwillingness to do things for themselves, or to at least put forth an effort. Therefore you have been the target of a certain amount of vitribution. Perhaps you are the lazy worthless git your posting implies perhaps not. None of my business and I don't really care.
You were pointed to a source of the information you asked for and rather than saying thank you, you demand that the rest of us sacrifice our time to synthesize the information and provide you with an answer about which we actually have very little information, namely what in the bloody <expletive deleted> you're interested in? Oh wait you did say you wanted us to tell you how to pick one or the other.
And you still can't see why you would become the target of a certain amount of ire on the part of the forum regulars. Might want to give that one some thought.
But now to your question, well sort of, I can give you a synopsis of what's changed between 1.4. and EE 5, but if I do that what you will know is that one person told you something. If you use the resources that you've already been given and arrive at your own conclusions and questions you will both know what you found and have a frame of reference with which to address specific questions relating to specific change topics. If you do that, most of us here will be more than happy to discuss adnauseum the ramifications of any and all of the changes.
These are the kinds of topics that we will happily get wrapped up in, but after we've spent our effort and time learning the differences and how they relate to what we're doing why should we concern ourselves with someone who wants a spoon fed answer? Consider this, if you never move beyond bottle fed pablum (formula) you wouldn't be able to tolerate more robust food like say a steak. If you never learn to derive your own answers to questions like this, you will never move forward as a developer.
Now that I've ranted for a while. Read the material you've already been pointed to, come back with comments and questions of your own and we'll be happy to help and comment.
    Cheers,
    PS.

  • Difference between SAP R/3 , mySap and ASAP

    Hi all
Please tell what is clear Difference between SAP R/3 , mySap and ASAP
    Thanks in advance

    hi Naresh,
    SAP R/3--
SAP R/3 is SAP's integrated software solution for client/server and distributed open systems. SAP's R/3 is the world's most-used standard business software for client/server computing.
R/3 stands for Real Time and 3-tier architecture.
    mySAP --
In SAP's words "mySAP.com is an open collaborative business environment of personalized solutions on demand"
In our words, mySAP.com is actually a collection of three things.
    a) The Marketplace is a website where buyers and sellers can register themselves, and then buy and sell from each other.
    b) The Workplace is a piece of software which sits on your desktop, and allows you (after ity is setup correctly) to gain access to all of the systems you use in your company. It is, naturally, tightly integrated with both SAP and the Marketplace.
    c) mySAP.com is also the umbrella name for all of SAP's internet-enabled applications.
    ASAP--
ASAP (AcceleratedSAP) is a step-by-step methodology for speeding up the implementation of an SAP R/3 system. The components of ASAP, which can be used together or individually, are called accelerators. Accelerators are based on the best practices of SAP customers from around the world and consist of a number of templates, questions, and scenarios that require user input to help the user determine the best way to implement their R/3 system. According to SAP literature, ASAP can reduce the time required to implement an R/3 system by as much as 50%.
    If helpful, reward points...
