Difference in KE5T

Dear Experts,
In KE5T I am getting Zero values for all GL A/cs in Base Ledger Coloumn .i.e. 00 - GL Account Trans figure. I had checked with a sample account posting. The Values are equal in GL balance level FBL3N, Cost element Level with Cost Center KSB1 and Cost Element with Profit Center S_ALR_87013326.
And I had checked with Leading Ledger OL also.
But in KE5T I am not able to display the values in Base Ledger Column.
Pl assist me reg this...

Hi
When you are using New GL and Doc Splitting, then you should not have activated Dummy PC and Classical PCA
refer note 702854... What you have done goes against SAP recommendation..
Anyways, I would suggest you to check your settings in T codes 0KE5 for online transfer of Line items to EC-PCA and T codes 1KE... Did you execute 1KE T codes at month end...
Again, i would personally advice you to deactivate Classical PCA if you have not gone live

    When users posted manual entry for adjusting depreication diff. it is not updating our group currency for company code. The problem was when we run depreciation for period 4 year 2015 it did not post anything in controlling area document. i checked controlling document, it was $0.00 in all cost centers. See below for check file that i am attaching
    one from Report: S_ALR_87013611 - Cost Centers: Actual/Plan/Variance
      double click on account :  we can see cost element that balance is $0.00 in depreciation account. we created manual posting for these postings. there are $0.00 balance document you can see that in image 3. I tried to check that in detail view report with all kind of currency that available in report. Only trasaction currency i can see amount but rest of all currency giving me zero ($0.00). for posting depreciation for period 4 2015 we created manual posting throught profit center document. After posting this profit center document we see some difference in Report KE5Z. i select all currency such as
    1. Profit center local currency
    2. transaction currency
    3. company code currency
    I got following result

    In this transaction we are not getting any effect on trasaction currency in on of the transaction when we do manual entry. it is not hiting transaction currency can any one explain me why. I checked all settings in OKKP and other related to Profit Center such as

    I tried all of this trasaction but I am not able to get solution for my error. But I found this difference in KE5T check below link.

    I got OSS note 858363:Organization/reorganization Profit Center Accounting
    I tried this note but I am not seeing any changes this difference is staying there. It is not getting affected to group currency.
    I created new Depreciation area as required all posting is working well after I made some changes and implement some required OSS notes. But I am not able to remove this diffence from ledger. Now as per my understanding manual entry is not getting update in group currency. I checked all master data configuration for controlling and profit center where currency is selected as group currency (30). there are many other settings that I follow. As per note it mention to use t-code
    1ke8 (Subsequent posting FI): as per this document it will get affect to FI side and it will update currency difference. Now let me inform you Group currency and Company code currency is USD ($). So there is no exchange rate difference issue here. becasue
    as per KE5t Error message i am getting following error
    1. Difference found in Comp. code Currency
    2. Difference found in Group currency.
    both with Green Type it is not red type error.
    As per OSS note 858363 try  t-code 1KE8 and remove changes but my concern is after selecting document should i reverse the document or should I transfer MM,SD and HR docs.
    Becasue I am not seeing option to post any document. My depreciation for period 5 2015 working perfectlly alright after changes. I need to adjust difference in period 4 year 2015.

  • PCA differences

    Hello,
    We have posted adjustment etries in previous years.
    example: Entry date is 10.03.2010
    Posting date and document date is 31.12.2008 in period 13.
    After these entries posted we are getting the differences in KE5T in the period 000 in year 2010.
    kindly advices how we can resolve this issue.

  • 1KEK and Year End Closing Duplicates

    Dear CO Experts,
    I am having an issue when I run F.5D and 1KEK, we just started using these transactions in Jan 2011. We used to have all customer recon accounts in table 3KEH.
    Our issue is that since we removed all the customer's recon accounts from 3KEH when I run F.5D and 1KEK all the transactions for 2011 including the open items from 2010 are transferred. When I run 2KES (balance carry-forward) for new fiscal year the balances are also transferred giving me duplication in KE5T.
    My issue is that I want to only transfer invoices via 1KEK that were created in 2011. All the open items from 2010 I woudl like to remove, and have them transferred thru 2KES only I need to do this because my financials in Controlling are stating duplicates, and if I delete the balance carry forward in CO for tehse specific accounts via 0KE1, then financials show that the open balances for 2010 where posted in period 01 2011, whcih is not true. Anyone has any suggestions? as to how to choose current transactions in 1KEK for current month only? and to avoid picking up open balances, since this invoices were done in the old config.

    Found a workaround...
    To do this we did a reconcialition for January 2011 KE5T differences by anlaysing the amount differences for Jan 2011.
    1- Run FI report FBL3N and enter the acct # and corresponding date range
    2- Separate all documents types for the current month, payments, debits, invoices etc. the total of this will give you the difference in KE5T
    3- after you run F.5D and 1KEK for month-end then enter the entries such as payments and invoices created in current month in controlling alone
    4- Use tcode 9KE0 to make entries in Controlling ONLY, you need to balance to zero in order to save entry, so choose a revenue account to post the offset entry.
    5- Then use tcode 0KE1 to delete the line item you entered as the offsetting entry in controlling because you only needed to fix one account. You use the offsetting entry as clearing entry but then you delete the item via 0KE1.
    6- Run KE5T again you should now match
    7- Run allocations 4KE5 last

  • Material transferd to PCA

    Hi
           through tr code 1KEH it allows transferring material current period and previous period  .for e.g. for the month of October it allows only on sept and OCT
    for July and aug we are not able to transfer material to PCA  so for these period it shows difference in KE5T, i refer note no 858363 still issue is unsolved  can any one give assistance to over come this issue ,looking for positive response

  • Transferring AP,AR balances to PCA

    Hi all,
    while transferring the AR, AP balances to PCA using 1KEK, the balances of GL account in FS10N and balance transferred to PCA through 1KEK are not equal, there is difference between these two amounts.
    Can any one tell me what will be the reason for that.
    Actually we have observed this dfference in the last month trsnferring amounts, but the difference existed from the beginning of the fiscal year.

    We have a difference in the month of Feb-2011 in tr.code KE5T for an Account XXXXX (B/s Account), upto Jan-2011 we dont find any difference

    The identify why it has happened there is no option but to analyze GL line item and Profit centre actual (KE5Z).
    Check your 3KEH / 3KEI set up for this account if any transport has impacted it. If you are not using ECC splitting , have you performed the 1KE* transaction for Balance sheet items ?
    Monitor this GL account & try testing it in your test system again if it is working.
    If FI is fine and to over come the difference in PCA you can use transaction : 9KE0

  • Difference in Balance Report and FS10N table GLPCT

    Dear Experts,
    We are facing one issue in Report which had prepared through report painter. We were using GLPCT table to prepare this report. The balance is coming correctly upto operating margin. After operating margin balance is not coming correct. This is mostly Balance Sheet items like Debtors, Creditors, Inventory.
    For example GL 134002 (Inventory) is showing amount in Rs. 258178 in this report (EVA) April period and in FS10N the same GL balance is appearing is Rs. 1632599.60.
    We did the analysis is that it may be not picking correct opening balance. But unable to find out the correct reason.
    What could be the reason for this difference in this report. Please advice.

    Thanks for your support, Actual this issue happend due to PCA BCF has not happend but when i execute KE5T then it is not showing any difference FI & PCA. I have mentioned company code XYZ, Fiscal year 2011, from period 1 to 12 and account number in KE5T. But it is not showing difference.
    Can you please suggest how can I run this KE5T in the system.

  • Difference in rounding off account for period 12-2011

    Dear All,
    I have done all the month end activities/year end activities for period 12-2011, ie 1KEI, 1KEK, F.05 then done 2KES. But there is a rounding off account in which there is a huge difference. In KE5T, the BAse Ledger shows a balance of '0' and the comparision ledger shows a huge Credit balance. This entire amount is due to some Euro conversions done in period 1 2011.
    How can this issue be resolved. What are the steps to be followed? Kindly guide

    But how this is not a finance entry ..... the postings have happened only in Profit centers. When I go to Extras to view the original entry, there is no document existing. Is there some report which can provide this data

  • KE5T no values in Base ledger

    Hi Ajay & Experts,
    We are implementing ECC 6.0 and Classic PCA
    All the postings have been updated in table.
    When i try to execute KE5T to look at the differences, am getting no value in base ledger column and PCA ledger 8A am gettting values.
    Entire postings in PCA are appearing as differences.
    I have searched all the forums i didnot find any answers.
    Can anyone please help.

    If you have not implemented New GL and using classical PCA, surely you should have some differences between FI and PCA. It is very unlikely that FI and PCA will always match.
    You can do certain this in order to mitigate the difference between FI and PCA.
    1. Ensure that all your real cost objects / materials are assigned to profit centers.
    2. In OBA5, make KM096 as error message. This ensure that you always enter profit center in cost center master.
    3. Exeucte 1KE4 (profit center monitor) to see if there are any unassigned objects.
    4. Periodically execute 1KEK, 1KEH, 1KEI etc.
    5. Maintain 3KEH, 3KEI settings and also ensure you have maintain relevant substitutions in OKB9
    6. Already posted difference can only be reduced by posting one leg entries through 9KE0.
    If there are no entries in KE5T, there is something wrong, please check.

    After running KE5T there is a nil bal in base ledger and a large balance in pca (comparative ledger) I have no clue what is going on.

    You can use T code GCAC which is for ledger comparison.
    Pur ledger for GL 9Generally 0) with version and PCA ledger (generally 8A) with version, it will give you the line items where the difference is.

  • FI - PCA data reconciliation - difference

    Hi all,
    We have technically upgraded the system in the year Aug 2007 and activated u201CNew GL functionality u201C. In the process we have not de-activated u201CClassical Old GL functionalityu201D since we have not migrated the data from Classical G/Lu2019s to New G/Lu2019s. Both related tables are getting updated.
    Our client has implemented SAP in the year 2000-01 and as of today is finalizing the Balance Sheet as per Business Area. As a year-end activity when we tried to match PCA data with FI data, there is a difference getting shown in Tcode u2013 KE5T.
    To match the data we have executed
    1.     F.5D - Balance Sheet Readjustment Process
    2.     1KEK - PCA - Trf Payables / Receivable.
    But still difference is there from the year 2001. Need guidance on the following points u2013
    1.     Do we need to execute F.5D alone (without F.5E / F.5F etc) every time?
    2.     If any assignment is missing in Tcode u2013 3KEH? If that is missing and now if we have given
                    that  then what about the data posted in past without assignment of default Profit Center in  
                    Tcode u2013 3KEH?
    3.     In past, some of the expense G/Lu2019s have been posted without CO-object indirectly without
                    Profit Center attachment. u2013 How to transfer such amounts to Profit Center to tally FI-PCA   
                    data.
    4.     Some of the Cost Centers have been created without attachment of Profit Center in it.
                    Afterwards Profit Center attachment given in that hence how to transfer that non-assigned
                    data to Profit Center accounting?
    5.     In OKKP u2013 Controlling Area setting u2013 Profit Center activated for the Year 2001 To 9999.
                    Same activation getting shown in Tcode u2013 u201C0KE5u201D u2013 u201CEC-PCA Controlling Area settingu201D for the
                    year 2001 only. Do we need to activate per year or one time activation like 2001 To 9999 is
                    acceptable?
    6.     What about Transaction Code u2013 1KEI / 1KEH etc?

    Thanks for the reply, points assigned to you. Your reply has finalised some of the transaction execution for which we were confused.
    Our client has made the requirement specific to match the Customer / Vendor / Asset balances with Profit Center instead of matching overall FI - PCA data.
    We have executed Tcode - F.5D and subsequently Tcode - 1KEK every year from 2001 and then after that Tcode - 2KES for transferring the PCA balance to the next year.
    1. In the year 2001, I found the difference (Only in the 4th period), which was due to the "Manual Posting" made to Profit Center Accounting (Since that data had document Type - A0 - std customization setting made for PCA). Please do correct me if I am wrong ?
    2. In the year 2002, if I execute KE5T with selection of "Display Differences Only" system is showing the difference but if I remove that selection, data matches between FI & PCA? Why such thing happens?
    3. In the year 2003 I am getting the difference between "Base Ledger " and "Comparison Ledger" for the period 1 & 12 only. Rest of the periods has been individually tallied between FI & PCA. Do you know the reason or the way to map the difference?
    4. In the year 2004 data is matching
    5. In the year 2005 again if I make the selection of "Display Differences Only" (in Tcode u2013 KE5T) system is showing the differences, currency wise namely, "EUR, INR, SEK, USD" etc. but if I remove that selection, data matches between FI & PCA.

  • Difference between G/L Account Balance and PCA Balance

    Friends,
    After executing KE5T for the period 6 we are seeing a difference in the G/L a/c balance figures and the profit center figures for 2 balance sheet accounts. In one case the PCA balance figures are greater than the G/L a/c balance figures and vice versa in the 2nd case.
    What is the procedure to be followed in such cases? Is there any standard program that can identify the postings that are causing the differences?

    However, the note 126910 specifically mentions that it is not to be used for balance sheet account balances transferred to PCA using 1KEK.

  • Discrepancies in KE5T transaction

    Hello GURU,
    i would like to ask you 1 thing, We have got disrepancies in KE5T where we had some missing items in PCA.
    I sent the FI document (which contains 3 items) to PCA by 1KE8 and then I realised there was already 1 item sent before, which I should have reversed first.
    So now when I try to reverse the items, its always 3 of them , and the first item sent originally to PCA makes a difference.
    Is there any transaction which reverse only particular profit center document? Is there any workaround to have KE5T clean?

    thanks for the feedback but I am afraid I will not be able to use any of your transactions as this requries that the docuemtn needs to be balanced.
    I need to reverse only 1 line from the document, If I use 1kel, then I will balance 1 account but the othe one used in the Fi documetn would be misbalanced, Is there any way to reverse or to create only a document for 1 line from original document?

    is the team licence basically individually licences products per account users?
