Differences in Billing on lines on a shared plan

So I have a quick question.  It may seem small as it is only a couple of pennies to me (I guess with 100+ million subscribers, it could be significant for Verizon)  but why do I have two lines, both on iPhones, on a shared plan, yet find that for one of them, the "Taxes, Governmental, Surcharges, and Fees" line item in billing will be exactly the same in some months and then either $.01 or $.02 higher on one line versus the other in subsequent months.  Just curious.  Would have sent this via email but cant find an email address anymore for these types of questions.

That's a great question lwinning9! If all the charges are the same, but the taxes are different, it's possible that the Primary Place of Use address on each number is different. Cell phones are taxed based on where they are being used, not where the bill goes.
This means we have a billing address on your account, but each line should have an address listed as the main place it will be used. This is the address that generates the tax rate.
You can check your PPU addresses on My Verizon. http://bit.ly/xB4iTc

  • Transferring to a line within a shared plan

I have four lines on a family share plan and would like to transfer a phone that is month to month ( contract has ended) to a line that is under contract and drop the line that is month to month,.The phone I would like to remove is a smartphone and the other phone is a basic phone. Would I be allowed to do so without penalty?

Cancel the month to month line (preferably near the end of the billing cycle). Once that line is deactivated, you can can activate that phone on the other line through your MyVerizon account.

  • Iphone 5 Shared plan

Hi I just pre ordered the Iphone 5 and i am coming into verizon under my fathers Shared plan. So i followed the steps to add a new line, but at the end it gave me a total monthly charge of $150. I thought adding a line to a shared plan will only cost $40 for a smartphone per month. I didn't even really see the option or breakdown for this option. Can i go and fix my plan once i get my phone next friday?

I have the same issue as lvargas2002. When you try to add a line to your shared plan, using the pre-order system, it does not just charge you the $40 fee to add a smartphone to your shared plan. It orders you up a completely new shared plan and charges you for it. This despite calling up my exisitng lines and checking upgrade availability. I called customer service and they are clueless on how to do this -- and are sending me to the phone lines to make the calls. You really need to get the proper ordering procedure in place -- I am sure this is costing revenue and sales --big time....

  • Rounding Differences in Billing Request Documents (BRDs)

    Hi:
    Here is the scenario:
We are a professional services company. sales orders has WBS assignment for expense and time booking. Then we run DP91/DP96 to generate the BRD's.
    Our issue is:
Lets say its a foreign currency contract (Sales order in AUD), local company code currency is USD and so is WBS currency.
Employee enters expenses on WBS in AUD currency which are transferred to WBS in USD (As local currency of employee). BRD process again converts the expenses from USD to AUD. Thats where the rounding differences are coming up.
    For example:
    WBS - (in USD)
Sales Order / Billing - (in AUD)
Employee company code currency / Same as WBS company code - USD
    Expenses - 1000 AUD
Exchange rate from AUD to USD is 1.66961
So expenses are posted as 598.94 USD (1000/1.66961)
DP91 picks the WBS expenses (USD) and converts into billing currency (AUD) - 598.94 * 1.66961 = 999.99 AUD
So 1000 AUD expenses showed in billing as 999.99 AUD.
Though the difference is not material but some of our goverment clients are very particular about this. They dont accept 999.99 invoice backed by 1000 expense.
Please advise, is there any standard way to change BRD process to say if expense currency (which is AUD in this example) is same as billing currency, dont convert via USD (Which is employee local currency) OR any enhancement of DP91?
    Thanks,
    Rahul

    Hi:
    Thanks for pointing this note.
As mentioned in this note, our system is behaving the same way and converting the CO cost in transaction currency into billing currency. In CO (WBS line item report), transaction currency is the employee local currency when expenses are booked to that WBS.
System is behaving as per standard design.
I wanted to know if there is any enhancement we can write on top on this note to not look at transaction currency. The enhancement would look at the expense receipt currency and compare it with the billing currency. If both are same (regardless of transaction currency), dont convert via transaction currency.
May be for that matter I should check if there any way to transfer receipt currency as transaction currency in CO (instead of local company code currency as transaction currency)?
Just wondering how SAP internally or any other consulting companies are handling this conversion difference when billing to their clients?
    Thanks.

  • Difference between billing and invoice?

    Hi all
can anybody say Difference between billing and invoice?
    thanks

    Hi Ipsit,
Invoice is document indicating to delivery goods and Billing is a receipt of payment
Tables are VBRK & VBRP. For flow, go to transaction VF03, enter document number and hit 'Display Document Flow' button on toolbar
VBRK and VBRP holds billing/invoice details..
    Billing Document:
Generic term for invoices, credit memos, debit memos, pro forma invoices and cancellation documents.
The tables are VBRK and VBRP.
    2) -- once u do PGI the delivery document will be created. There is no way to stop it.. The thing u can to do go to the list of created deliveries in VL09. Select the delivery doc which u created. There u have the option of reversing the goods or canceling it.
Billing is generic term and u can say invoice is a type of billing document.
After PGI only way left is to cancel it by Using TCODE MBST as this Tcode is used to cancel any material document.
    Please Reward If Really Helpful,
    Thanks and Regards,

  • How to grey out the Account Assignment Group Fld  in Billing Doc Line Item

    Hi SD Guru's
    I have a small doubt.
I have maintained account assignment group in material master. Now when i create an order , the account assignment group gets picked from material master into this sales order.
Now i go to VF01 for doing the invoicing.
Now i can still go to billing document line item against the material and change its account assignment group before raising the invoice. When i change this field, i can still post to accounts.
I want to know is there any way in which we can restrict the way in which this field is greyed out and is made non-editable, so that only correct entries with account assignment group maintained in material master are posted.
    Answers will be appreciated.
    Kind Regards
    Ravi

    Hi,
Sandeep can you please give me step by step process of using SHD0 in this case.
Now if i apply this to transaction VF01 and VF02, would it apply for all billing document types? I dont want that, i want it to work for a specific billing type
    Kind Regards

  • Switched to shared plan-bill on old account sent to collection agency without notice!

On 9/16/12, my husband and I visited a Verizon store to upgrade our phones and enroll in a 2-year renewal contract, as we have done for years.  While speaking with an in-store representative, we were encouraged to combine our plans into a family shared plan. We took the necessary steps to do this and my husband moved his account to combine with mine.  From this point onward, we paid one bill together. We assumed my husband’s account was correctly closed and never heard anything else about it from Verizon.   We were therefore unpleasantly surprised to receive a letter from a collection company demanding that he pay a $135.63 charge from his old account that we previously knew nothing about.
I have been a loyal customer since 2003 and have never missed or even been late on a payment throughout this time.  To find out that there is a delinquent account sent to a collection agency which will affect my family’s credit is very disconcerting.  Further, to read stories from former Verizon customers saying that they too had received letters from collection agencies regarding unpaid bills that Verizon never alerted them about leaves me wondering whether the procedures for closing an account are being properly conducted.   In our case, the situation is even more frustrating since we are not former customers that Verizon had trouble contacting regarding outstanding charges.  We are current customers who would have been happy to make a payment had we been aware of it in writing.  A simple search would have shown that my husband’s phone number is still valid and is now part of my account in our shared plan.  We would have expected to have either received a bill addressed to him regarding a final bill that was owed on his old account (he used auto-pay while that account was active) or to have had the final charge moved to my current account, since I am now the primary account holder with both of our phone numbers under one plan.  It would seem surprising to send a bill to a collection agency when dealing with someone who is a current customer.
There is no issue with making a payment directly to Verizon as long as our credit is not affected.  We have written a letter to Verizon but have not received any response from them in a month and a half. Has anyone else successfully dealt with a similar issue?
    Thank you.

He didn't receive a hard copy because he had paperless billing set up (as well as auto pay).  We checked his email for any billing statements sent and there were none after the account was closed.  As SydneyK mentioned, since he only had paperless billing, after the account was closed there was no way to access it online and see that there was an outstanding balance.  In fact, the Verizon representative stated that his account would be "moved over" to mine, which to me implied that everything, including a balance, would be "moved" to the shared plan. We finally figured out what the outstanding balance was for - for the new phone he upgraded to when we went to the store to upgrade our phones and switch to the family plan.  They had charged his account for the phone, rather than my account/the shared account. Ugh.

  • Details from Billing doc line item in COPA

    Hi,
We are posting billing docs with multiple ship-to parties on the different line items. In COPA I need to get hold of the ship-to party. There are no sales orders created in the process.
In neither the derivations (KEDR) nor in the user-exit am I able to get hold of the billing doc line item nr, as that is what I need to determine the ship-to party from the VBRP table.
Any ideas on how I can pick up the ship-to party from the billing doc?
    Thanks in advance
    Piet Strydom

    HI,
    Thanks for your response.
Yes, we have ship-to party at the line-item level. Technically it is stored on VBPA, but the access into VBPA is the billing doc and line item number.
I have not been able to find good (SAP) documentation for exit COPA0005, but what I did find warned against changing characteristics? That should be done in COPA0001. However, the RBELN and RPOSN fields are not populated yet.

    Hi,
If you are looking for Billing document line item details and if you have range of sales document reference numbers try using 'BAPI_BILLINGDOC_GETLIST' function module. It is remote call enabled.

  • How Billing Document line items are generated during Schema Execution

    Hi,
I have noticed that some of the schema steps (that were executed) do not appear as line items in Billing Document but some do.
I want to know how it is determined? Is there any specific check or entry in the billing schema lines/steps that determines which Billing Schema line items can appear on Billing Document?

    Hi:
The "schema" is composed of "rates", an "rate" have "rate steps", each "rate step" is a variant program it uses controls, by setting these controls you can write lines of additional information in the billing document. Anyway, some variants are always writing lines (ex. QUANTI01), in other cases are variants that write lines of consumption DBERCHV (Ex. QUANTI22).
    I hope this helps.

  • Business Area is not flowing to Billing Doc Line item

    Hi,
Since recently we have observed that in some billing document creation, the business area in sales order line item is not flowing to the billing document line item.
VBRP-GSBER remains blank due to which we face problem in J1IIN txn.
This is not happening in all the cases. There are very few instances where business area is becoming blank in billing document line item.
But when the same billing document is reversed and new billing document is created, the business area flows properly to billing document line item (in VBRP).
Can anybody suggest why such erratic behaviour? And how to resolve the issue?
    Thanks and Regards
    Ratna

    Dear Shiva Ram and Srinath,
    Thanks for your reply
I had checked the settings in SPRO. These are OK. The sales order line item is deriving business area properly. But in some cases (not in all the cases) the business area is not flowing to Billing Line Item during billing document creation. It is happening in production server and not in development server.
I intend to use user exit userexit_fill_vbrk_vbrp to fill the VBRP-GSBER col with VBAK-GSBER if VBRP-GSBER is blank during saving the sales bill thro VF01..
    Pl. suggest.
    Regards
    Ratna
