Different App-V 5.0 problems
Dear Community,
I never used App-V before and I'm evaluating this software at the moment.
Unfortunately I ran into some problems and hope you can help me.
Here are the facts of my environment:
My installation source is MDOP 2014 (en_microsoft_desktop_optimization_pack_2014_x86_x64_dvd_4130158.iso).
First I installed the Management and Publishing Server on my Windows 2012 R2 Server. As installation source I have used
the "appv_server_setup.exe" from "App-V -> Installers -> 5.0 -> Servers", since there is no newer server installation file.
Since I'm evaluating App-V in combination with Windows 2012 R2 RDS Server I used "mu_application_virtualization_for_remote_desktop_services_5.0_service_pack_2_x86_cd_3209756.iso" media,
but since I don't want all the language packs on my RDS I extracted the setup file and installed the client using the msi.
And here are my two problems:
Problem 1:
After installing the App-V client 5.0 SP2 (Version: 5.0.3361.0) I'm able to successfully import the App-V module into powershell. Then after applying Hotfix 5 (msi installation)
I'm no longer able to import the App-V powershell module. Therefore I receive the following error message (parts of it are translated from german):
import-module: the file or assembly "Microsoft.AppV.AppvClientComConsumer.dll" or a dependency could not be found
+ import-module AppvClient
+ CategoryInfo : InvalidOperation: (:) [Import-Module], FileNotFoundException

I already tried to import the module with this command (without success):
Import-Module "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Application Virtualization\Client\AppvClient\AppvClient.psd1"
The file "Microsoft.AppV.AppvClientComConsumer.dll" exists in the following folder: "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Application Virtualization\Client\AppvClient".
Problem 2:
In the event log "Microsoft -> AppV -> Server-Publishing -> Admin" I receive an event id 216 -> "The client OS is unknown: WindowsServer_6.3_x64".
I think I have to update my Management/Publishing Server, but where do I find server updates? All the updates/hotfixes I found have only been available for App-V client or sequencer!?
My actual version of the Management/Publishing Server is 5.0.285.0

External screen dims when opening different apps?
Hi All ----
Seems my external screen dims and rectifies when opening different apps - like some kind of brightness adjustment going on... it doesnt happen on the MBP, just on the external screen --- i've checked all possible settings on Ext. Displ. / re-booted / repaired perms... cant quite figure it out.
I dont think this is energy-saver related.

When FT is full screen, camera goes off when swiping to a different app
When FT is full screen, camera goes off when swipping to a different app or the desktop. This is frustrating to the other person. We were having a discussion and I said I wouls look it up and when I swipped to Safari, the camera went off. It makes the other person think the connection has been lost. Anywhere to report issues like this to Apple?
In reading other threads, I found a few that recommend a hard reset to solve the issue. I have tried it, and thus far haven't expereienced the problem again. Hopefully that's it then

Is it too much to ask from apple, an option for different volumes levels from different apps, including alarm, text, email, basically from every posible app?
My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

I need some help.... I Have the iPhone 4S and downloaded the new software (6.0) and everything seems great so far except when I try to open a link in safari from a different app (ie..messages, Facebook, ect..) it glitches and won't load. The blue loading bar will just jump back and forth and the page will not load properly if at all....
It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

How to assign different apps from 1 complete creative cloud package amongst different users?

We are a small startup that has one complete creative cloud package.
Would like to know if there is a way for us to split up the individual apps in Creative Cloud Complete, amongst other users in our team. (We have a team account).
E.g. Computer 1 with one ID only needs access to Premiere Pro, Computer 2 with another ID only needs Photoshop.

That's not how Creative Cloud for Teams works. It's licensed per seat.
Do you have one Creative Cloud (complete) membership under a Team license? If so, that can be used by one seat (or user).
More users (even for one Cloud app) need more seats. Your best product mix may be 1 seat for Complete and multiple Single App seats.
So if you want to add (and pay extra for) Single App memberships (or Complete memberships) for various individuals under your Team account, that can be done via the Team Admin console.

Recently i faced a problem from appstore in my iphone i purchased app called iBlacklist- Block Unwanted Calls its paid Rs.270. after reading all details and watching all detail picture which is shown in appstore i download it , but after installing the apps i found its totally different app called SeceretContact, i tried to contact support on tollfree number but he say that this apps is developed by developer so he cant help , i just wana know that appstore is allowing the developer to put their apps on apple store and the apps which is shown is totally different after insatling it then who is responsible for this as this apps had charged Rs 270 from one person , is this a cheating which company is trying to do with us .
please help me if possible i just wana know what action did company takes in this matterMost of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here. If you contact iTunes Support about it then they might investigate and potentially remove it.
You can try contacting iTunes Support via the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that app and use the 'Report a Problem' link and fill in details about the problem (iTunes support should reply within, I think, about 24 hours).
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it's been taking some people to this site on a browser instead of showing a form in iTunes) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page. -
My iPhone 5 will not let me delete emails. I trash them and they look like they are deleted and then they will load back in. I cannot open my Keep Safe app after the last update. It said I needed more storage so I upgraded and it still will not load. It opens for a second and then goes to home page. FB is hit or miss if it will open and when it does it is really slow. Any suggestions?
Oh my gosh I had the EXACT same problem, and for ages I couldn't figure out how to fix it until today. Here's what I did:
First I went onto my computer, opened itunes, and un-installed tumblr, vine and kik. These were the apps I was having problems with (it said I had them on my phone but, like you, they didn't show).
Then I went to the itunes store, searched for each one, and it said I could update them so I did (just FYI: for tumblr a window popped up saying "please click ok to confirm you are 17 years or older", so I did that also)
When I went back to my phone and tried installing them again (still on my computer), it worked!

Hi. How do I attach more than one document to an email originating from my iPad, especially if the documents come from different apps? When starting an email there's no option for attachments, unless you send the document from inside an app like iBook and then you can only send one at a time.

Byword on Mac syncs nicely with Byword on iOS.
Ulysses 3 on Mac syncs nicely with Daedalus Touch.
BUT, cross-sync is not possible.... :/

Thanks in advance!Cross-sync only works if an app on the iDevice allows it. For example, some apps (editors) sync with Dropbox (icloud usually isn't the thing to use) but only in their own folders.
If you save a file from the mac to it's own folder, A, on dropbox and on the device you use a different app that uses its own folder, B, then you won't be able to reach folder A on the device.
One thing to look for in editors that support Dropbox (most do, on a device - clearly all do on a mac) is whether they access dropbox using the root folder. From there you can drop down to any subfolder and reach the files you want. -

I have 2 apple id's with different apps and data saved under each. It's very annoying so now I want to create a new id with my primary email address I use now. If I do that is there any way to transfer all my saved apps and app data like game saves etc so I don't lose all of that information and can easily switch to a singular apple id?
Apple does not transfer content bought with one Apple ID to another Apple ID. Apple will not merge two Apple IDs.
If most of your content was bought with the Yahoo! Apple ID but you now want the Gmail address for your Apple ID, the trick will be to change the address used for the Yahoo ID with the Gmail address. However, to do that you must first free the Gmail address from that other Apple ID. Use the instructions from Apple to substitute another address that is not used as an Apple ID for your Gmail address in the Apple ID with the Gmail address. Then, when the Gmail address is no longer used in an Apple ID, you can use the same instructions to substitute the Gmail address for the Yahoo address in the Apple ID with the Yahoo address.

How can I search different App Stores on the iPad without creating accounts for them?
I'm doing some research on the contents of different App Stores, and the only search feature that gives me all the data I need is the iPad store under iOS 5 or earlier. However, I cannot search a different store without creating an account and signing in, and to create an account I have to have a billing address in that store's country. iTunes on my Mac will let me search various stores without signing in (as long as I don't try to download), but iTunes doesn't give me all the information I need. Does anyone have any ideas for using iPad to search different stores without signing in?

That *may* be useful (I won't know for a few hours because I don't have the iPad with me right now), but it's not what I want. Within the App Store I want to search a different store without having to sign in. I can do this easily enough in iTunes on my MBP and would really like to do it on the iPad too (because the iTunes app search doesn't give me all the info I need).
