Different behavour of MAM application when starting via NWDS versus SAP MI

Hello,
We have MAM25 installed and running and have implemented some modification. When I run and test the application from the NWDS everything works fine. But when I restart my laptop and I'm NOT using NWDS and start the mobile client and test the (already deployed) application from there, then the application is behaving differently some functionality that is created is working different.
It looks like that the mobile client is started with different startup parameters. Does anyone has the same experience? Is the Mobile client started differently from NWDS (via run application)? If yes, why?
Hope some one can help me?
Regards,
Ryan

Hello Julien,
Thanks for your answer. But I'm not sure how to check the classpath and the startup class. may you can help me:
In nwds I see that when I run the application the main class is: com.sap.ip.me.mdk.api.runtime.Start  and the arguments are: "-home:C:\Program Files\SAP Mobile Infrastructure" -trace -url:MAM25_V30/start -app:jsp.  The class path from MAM is set to:
    <classpathentry kind="src" path="java"/>
    <classpathentry kind="var" path="JRE_LIB" rootpath="JRE_SRCROOT" sourcepath="JRE_SRC"/>
    <classpathentry kind="lib" path="C:/Program Files/SAP Mobile Infrastructure/lib/db2ejdbc.jar"/>

    <classpathentry kind="lib" path="C:/Program Files/SAP/IDE/IDE70/eclipse/plugins/com.sap.ip.me.mdk.developmentTools_2.5.12/MDKExt.jar"/>
    <classpathentry kind="lib" path="C:/j2sdk1.4.2_13/lib/tools.jar"/>
    <classpathentry kind="lib" path="C:/SAPmi/MAM25_V30RDS/app-root/WEB-INF/lib/datetimepicker.jar"/>
    <classpathentry kind="lib" path="C:/SAPmi/MAM25_V30RDS/app-root/WEB-INF/lib/MAM25_V21.jar"/>
    <classpathentry kind="lib" path="C:/SAPmi/MAM25_V30RDS/app-root/WEB-INF/lib/mbscore.jar"/>
    <classpathentry kind="lib" path="C:/SAPmi/MAM25_V30RDS/app-root/WEB-INF/lib/mbsrfid.jar"/>
    <classpathentry kind="output" path="app-root/WEB-INF/classes"/>
When I run the application the following information message appears in nwds:
MOBILE INFRASTRUCTURE 7.0 SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED **********
ME started with 'FrameworkInitializer' class and user 'rdou01'
When I start the mobile client using startup.bat. I see that the classpath variables are defined in the file listofjars.txt and set during startup. In these file I added the same path as mentioned before in nwds. Also in the same order. When I start startup.bat and I check the results in the doc command box. I see that the same librarie are loaded.
Still the application behaves different. Is there something else that I can check?

Ryan

  • [Solved] MPD won't play when started via systemd

    When I try to play from mpd (after starting it from systemd with "systemctl start mpd"), nothing happens. In ncmpcpp, when I press play, it quickly shows play and then immediately goes to "paused". When I start MPD normally from the command line (just by running "mpd"), it works fine, but for some reason, some conflict is being caused by systemd.
    Is there anywhere I should start to look? I don't really know how to troubleshoot it, as I don't know how to make it log without running it from the command line.
    EDIT: I set up systemd --user and wrote a service for it. It seems that mpd was running as root and caused some permissions issues.

    When starting "normally", do you also start mpd as root (since there is no "--user" in your systemctl call)?
    I just checked and it is running as root, however, when I do
    systemctl --user enable mpd
    I get:

  • How to choose different SSO/OID resource name - when start application?

    Background
    We are new to 10g(10.1.2.0.2)
    We have an environment where we have a front end 10g application (set of screens, menus, reports etc) that we like to be able to run against different backends. Eg one database for one set of data and another database with a different set of data.
    We have several users and we created one SSO/OID account/username for each person and one resource type for each username/password@database that they need to have access to. We decided to name the resource type with the same name as the database – for ease of memory.
    The first time that a person logs on, enters their SSO u/p SSO asks the users for their “default” u/p@db – since the formsweb.cfg’s ssoDynamicResourceCreate=true. This creates yet another resource in SSO/OID for the user. From then on the people never get the option to go into one of the other databases – ie to use one of their other SSO/OID resources.
    We do not want any passwords to be written into the formsweb.cfg file.
    Question
    How can we get our people to use SSO to open their front end but be able to chose a “non default” resource to open the application against a different backend/database?
    Ta

    Oracle Forms can use only a resource with a name equal to the config section you are using to start your application. This in contrast to reports where the SSOCONN parameter can be used to differentiate between resources.
    The solution is to use a different config section for each environment. You can for example make an html page on which you have a link to all environments, each of these pointing to a url with a different config.

  • Terminals show wrong Chars when started via Wmii-Hotkey!

    Hi there!
    Whenever i start an app in an urxvt via Wmii-Hotkey ("urxvt -e centerim" as well as "urxvt" and input "centerim"), there are problems with some characters shown (the german umlauts ä ü ö, in my case). These just look strange then.
    The problem doesn't occur when i launch these apps from an urxvt created by another terminal.
    EDIT: Same goes for Xterm! The problem seems to be on wmii's side...

    Well, the font-rules from wmii dont have anything to do with the fonts shown in my terminal, don't they? They only change the wm's font (text in statusbar and window-titles).
    EDIT: I just changed my WMII_FONT & DMENU_FONT from fixed to veranda. Now it magically works oO.
    Thank you so much!
    I am sort of suspicious that your urxvt fonts setting is not working.
    You can try putting the working WMII_FONT in urxvt font setting and keep your WMII_FONT back to "fixed". If it is still working, that means, your "consolas" fonts were not used at all.
    I never used xft font setting in urxvt, so no clue of whether your current setting is correct.

    Check the CommonEnv and setDomain script for any mis-references. then run those scripts. check the start-up also.
    Is the system having an old jdk version on it? if so remove the references from environment variables and then start the server.

  • Firewall blocks service when started from launchd

    I run lighttpd (installed from MacPorts), and it is binded to port 80. I am trying to make the Leopard Firewall play nice with it.
    The firewall is set to 'Set access for specific services and applications', and the lighttpd binary is on the list of applications set with 'Allow incoming connections'.
    When I start the service manually, it works fine, and the firewall allows outside connections to port 80. However, I use the launchd script shipped with MacPort's lighttpd to run lighttpd on boot.
    The firewall appears to block incoming connections to port 80 when lighttpd is started from the launchd script on booting, but allows incoming connections to port 80 when lighttpd is started manually from the Terminal.
    Any idea how to get the firewall to play nicely with lighttpd when started via launchd?

  • Mapping Copied SyncBO to MAM application

    Hi all
    I want to add some extra fields to the MAM25_030 SyncBO.Please tell me if the following procedure is correct or do we have some other simpler method.
    1) Make a copy of the MAM25_030 SyncBO.
    2) Make the extra column mappings.
    3) In the MAM application change the meRepMeta.xml,com.sap.mbs.mam.bo.impl.syncbonamelist and mapping.xml file to point to the new copied SyncBO
    4) Add the get and set property for the new fields.
    Thanks
    Gopi

    Hi Gopi,
    You are right and all the steps you are specified are perfect. It would be much better if you regenerate all bo's using BO generator or its fine even if you add get and set methods.

  • How to invoke an application when another applications is started

      Hi All,
        Good day. I am a newbie to AppleScript and writing down this seeking your kind help here.
    Making my question detail here,
    Applcation 1 :  Consider this to be some thing kind of server stuff which is running.
    Application 2:  Consider this to be an application like Automator or any other automation tool for example Sikuli or Squish
    My actual scenario is that, When Application 1- is still running and upon its completion I want to instruct to another application to start.
    Suppose consider that Application 1 is running and when it is finished I want to invoke another application via apple script.
    So here, I want both the scripts from you people that can do this.
    > Script for -
    1. Invoke Application 1 (via Applescript itself) let it run for few minutes(as it is server kind of stuff, i want it to run) when this is complete then I want to invoke the application 2
    2.  I am manually invoking the application 1 and I am going away,  as it will run for few minutes then on Application completes its job I want Application 2 to be Invoked.
    I believe, I am pretty explanatory here, so please help with these
    Regars,
    OsmanBerg

    Does Appliction 1 quit by itself when it's done? If so a simple loop should do the trick - periodically check to see if the app is still running:
    -- start App1
    tell application "App1" to activate
    -- we know it's running
    set isRunning to true
    tell application "System Events"
      -- do this until the app is no longer running
              repeat until isRunning is false
      -- has the app quit?
                        if (exists application process "App1") = false then
      -- if so, set our flag accordingly
                                  set isRunning to false
                        end if
      delay 2 -- wait 2 seconds before checking again
              end repeat
    end tell
    -- if we get here we know the first app has quit, so:
    tell application "App2" to activate

    Dear Rohan
    your local WWI installation seems to be dusrupted. Check e.g.  EHS- Inconsistent WWI Report behaviour for different users
    and many similar threads. Check OSS Marketplace for Release of WWI in regards of WinWord 2013
    Dear Camila
    according to my knowlede: the local WWI insztallaiton is not a "generation server" one. The parameter symbol you have mentioned is dedicated for WWI server set upin GLM area only. Therefore your hint will not work (according to my knowledge). But there is some "but"...
    With SAP ERP EnhPack 3 you need not to install any more a local WWi but could use a WWI gen server farm. If you can use this option the WWI set up is very different. In this case may be your hint is correct.

    Marco.
    Sorry, this is not a solution to your problem but i am trying to solve the same
    problem for a week now.
    I have wl7.0 sp2, 1 admin server, 2 managed servers on the same box. I get the
    same error. I know that the default certificate installed provides a hostname
    verification of weblogic.com. I turned the hostname verification off, i put in
    the Dweblogic.nodemanager.sslHostNameVerificationEnabled=false, i get the same
    error when starting the managed server. I went ahead and created my own certificate
    for machine called mallik, created my own passphrase, created a new keystore,
    made the admin server view the keystore, used the same certificate for both the
    admin server and the node manager. It still fails with the same error. I went
    ahead and added the machine 'mallik' to nodeManager.hosts file. It fails. I am
    totally confused now what needs to be done.
    My nodeManger.hosts looks like this:
    mallik 10.100.10.130
    managedServer1 10.100.10.130
    managedServer2 10.100.10.13

    i have created an admin server, called adminserver
    then i have created in the same domain a server called managedserver
    both servers run on the same machine,at different port number.
    i have created a machine, and associated managedserver to it.
    in the machine/configuration/nodemanager i have set listenaddress localhost
    and
    listenport 5555.
    my nodemanager starts automatically at htat port. however, when i try
    to start
    the managed server via adminserver console, i got the exception mentioned
    in
    the subject.
    can anyone help?
    regards
    marco
    can anyone point me to the right direction for solving this problem?
    in the adminserver console i have defined a machine for teh managedserver,
    and
    nodemanager is supposed to run at localhost:5555 (and indeed it does,
    because
    ihave started it successfully).
    thanx in advance and regards marco

    Anybody seen this?  Just started when opening any report, been working fine for over a week and now this error.  Does not seem to harm anything, the reports still regenerate just fine.  Only happens when starting the CR application.  CR Developer 11.0.0.1282
    Pop-up is as follows
    Script ErrorLine 481Position 41     if g3() = True then main = True : Exit Fun

    3 or more folks here have had the same issue.....more than once.  We got the original script error, it quit in the afternoon, and now has reappeared. (fails at a different line in the script though)
    Someone posted a fix, though.  Just uncheck 'Help', 'Check for updates on startup'   Worked for us.   Good catch...whoever that was!

  • When starting iTunes I always get the message "Do you want the application"... My firewall is on and incoming connections are allowed

    When starting Itunes the following message appears every thime:
    Do you want the application "iTunes.app" to accept incoming network connections?
    I always click on Allow, but it doesn't help.
    I'm not using the root user to work on my mac and turned the firewall on.
    As mentioned on a website I already removed the /Library/Preferences/com.apple.alf.plist file, but it didn't help.

    Found the solution:
    I checked iTunes by executing the following command in a terminal window:
    codesign -vvv /Applications/iTunes.app
    I reinstalled iTunes because my result was different from the expected output:
    /Applications/iTunes.app/: valid on disk
    /Applications/iTunes.app/: satisfies its Designated Requirement
    I logged in as a root user.
    In /Library/Preferences/ I deleted
    - com.apple.alf.plist
    - com.apple.alf.plist.lockfile
    (although I could not empty the trash bin due to the lockfile, you can after a reboot)
    I clicked on the iTunes.app application and pressed command+i
    In that window I allowed everyone to read/write
    I've moved the application to the trash bin.
    After rebooting the mac and logging in as a root user, I could empty the trash bin.
    I made sure that my firewall was started again, and downloaded the latest version of
    iTunes (currently 10.5.1).
    Launching iTunes doesn't give any warnings anymore because it's auto-trusted by mac.
    Hope this helps others.
