Different Directory views for users
How can I achieve different directory views on user's phones for different types of users using DCD?
This is for a Centrex type of service.
OK. I see this posting which mentions installing the IP Services SDK for such applications.
http://forum.cisco.com/eforum/servlet/NetProf?page=netprof&forum=Unified%20Communications%20and%20Video&topic=IP%20Phone%20Services%20for%20Developers&CommCmd=MB%3Fcmd%3Dpass_through%26location%3Doutline%40%5E1%40%40.1ddc61e0/0#selected_message
I find it hard to believe that there is not an easier way.
Why can't there be a directory-profile setting or a setting in the device profile to group users?

Specifying different initial views for different users in ALV web dynpro
Hi Friends,
I need to have 2 different initial view for my web dynpro application eg: View1 and View2. There will 2 group of users using the respective Views. However the first group should not be able to see other view(View2) and vice versa.
Please tell me whether it is possible and if yes then how to do it.
Regards,
SaudHi,
the ALV component has a public attribute - R_COMPONENT which is of type ref to IF_SALV_WD_COMPONENT_TABLE
you can call GET_PERSONALISATION on this reference to return a reference to the interface IF_SALV_WD_COMP_TABLE_PERS. This in turn has a method - SET_STANDARD_VIEW.
I think that this should allow you to set which ever view you want.
Hope it helps,

FAQ: BC-LDAP-USR (Directory Interface for User Management via LDAP )
Version: 20060317
Q: Where can i find more information to the BC-LDAP-USR interface ?
A: Have a look on our ICC webpage in the SDN:
SAP NetWeaver AS - Directory Interface for User Management via LDAP (BC-LDAP-USR)[1] [original link is broken]
Q: What costs a arising when we want our product to be certified ?
A: See also our SDN page under the headline "Price List".
Q: Is there a link/page for the already certified products for this interface ?
A: Sure, have a look on our ICC page under the headline "Certified Solutions"
Q: Who can we ask in case of general question ?
A: Have a look at our general ICC forum:
SAP Integration and Certification Center (SAP ICC)
Of course, if you have urgent requests you can send them also directly to our local ICC's:
ICC Walldorf in Germany: [email protected]
ICC Palo Alto in USA: [email protected]
ICC Bangalore in India: [email protected]
Q: Who can we ask in case of technical questions ?
A: This depends on the state of your certification project.
1.) If the certification contracts have been signed then you can ask in this forum and if this does not solve your question go back to your assigned integration consultant.
2.) When the certification contracts have not been signed then you can ask questions in this forum.I distinguish it using the passwordExpirationTime(or something like that, i don't have code here with me).
This is possible if after password is expired user has at least one more access. It is a user policy that can be set in the Ldap server.
If it is possible, user can still login and perform operations. You chan search the passwordExpirationTime attribute and determine if password is expired, and the send a message to the user, telling him to change it.(If only one access is allowed and you change the password with the same application or service then do not close context, else you should not be able to connect again.) Instead, if you use an external script, then the last acces should not give you problems.
Hope i made myself clear. -
How to use different xsl's for user first time logon in OAM
Hi,
We have a requirement to use different stylesheets (xsls) for employees and customers in OAM. How we can configure different XSLs for user first time logon to OAM (i.e for change password and configuring challenge and responses).
Any pointers on this is appreciated.
Thanks in advance..
SrikanthXSLs displayed are controlled by the StyleCookie. So if you can set the value of this cookie to be different front customers and employees, they will see different styles.
You can do this in various locations -> from the web server, from the url, custom plugins, etc....

Using different configured views for different user group in crm2007
Hello SAP Expert,
Want to clarify if the BADI (Configuration Access Determination BADI ; BSP_DLC_ACCESS_ENHANCEMENT) is used as design time or Run time. By looking the help of this BADI it says "This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the UI Configuration Tool (CRM-FRW-CON) component." Looks like this is at configuration time not at run time.
The actual requirement is that for a set of users which work on a particular department, we want to have some extra information on 2 views and rest of the views they would be using same as entire organization. We are inclined towards using config role rather than zviews. If we were to use zviews then it would not be a difficult one.
We were thinking of a mechanism to show the configured view based on user's Business Role at runtime. e.g. we have 2 roles A and B. Role A user have only 2 views specific to them and all other views they use same as Role B. We do not want to use ZView rather use Role Config Key to distinguish the views. What I was thinking that we should be able to create these 2 views with Config Role A and all views (including these 2) with Config Role B. On Business Role A and Business Role B both, We will assign Config Role "B". but at runtime system should determine if the Business Role is A and Component is CMP1 then use the view V1 with Config Role A not the default view with config role B. (we can maintain that information in a Z table). This is not based on runtime profile but to use configured view at runtime.
Any thoughts/ help really appreciated.
Best regards,Hi Amithab,
you can use badi CRM_BP_UIU_VIEW_CONFIG of enhancement spot CRM_UIU_BP_ENHANCEMENT for your requirements. Please read the badi documentation because you need also a implementation of badi CRM_BP_UIU_CONFIG_CALLBACK (same spot). SAP considers badi CRM_BP_UIU_VIEW_CONFIG only for use at dynamically loading different configuartions of view details for business partners or contact persons at runtime. But you can use your badi implementation also for other views. You have to redefine method DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION in your views. And call your badi from there. For this copy&paste the logic of DO_CONFIG_DETERMINATION of bp details to the views you have to load dynamically at runtime.
We have used this approach for access controll and granting special access to views dependent on different employee functions.
Best regards

Parameterized Views for User Reports
I would like to be able to define a view such as:
create view dept_emps(p_dept in varchar2) as
select * from emps where dept = p_dept);
and use this view to define a SQL Dev drilldown report with SQL such as:
select * from dept_emps(:DEPT)
where :DEPT is a bind variable passed from a selected depts report row.
Oracle apparently does not support parameterized view definitions as suggested above, but I have found an article by Tom Kyte on the issue of parameterizing views, where Tom suggests using DBMS_SESSION.SET_CONTEXT (called within a user package) to set context values that can be retrieved in a view using the SYS_CONTEXT function. I can get this approach to work at the SQL prompt to work around the lack of formal view parameters. I have a package which defines a procedure which sets context values that I can then retrieve within a view using the SYS_CONTEXT function.
To use this approach when defining a SQL Developer user report, the SQL for the report would need to be logically something like (which works fine at an SQL prompt):
exec ssuper_context.set_ctx('DEPT', :DEPT) - - Call user procedure to assign context variable 'DEPT' with bind value from parent report
select * from dept_emps
where view dept_emps uses function SYS_CONTEXT to return the value for context variable 'DEPT'.
SQL Developer complains about this as the SQL for a user-defined report. Can anyone suggest how I might pass a bind value from a selected parent record to a view which implements a drilldown report?
TIA JonI met CSI at a kongress a few weeks ago and pressed them a bit on how this works. Eventually they fezzed up about the table read but mentioned that in the next release being developed it would be different...
Problems with this is that the FM has a couple of limitations, so you cannot read all tables correctly... so you end up reading some of the wrong ones or taking the easy ones.
Another option is to let the database itself do the hard work, to get back to the performance aspect.
Anyway, for neither of these two do you need any tcode, so indeed we are drifting off topic... -
Different column views for different mailboxes?
Is it possible to view different columns for different mailboxes?
Normally, the "Sent" mailbox displays only "To," not "From;" and the other mailboxes display only "From" and not "To." That's fine. But I have another mailbox I've created where I've stored old sent mail, and I only want to see the "To" column, not the "From" column in that mailbox. When I select that mailbox and then choose View-Columns, whatever I choose is applied to the "In" box, and all the other mailboxes (except "Sent" )... is there another way to do this?
G3 B&W Mac OS X (10.3.9)Column view settings are stored globally for all mailboxes. You cannot change them for one mailbox without also affecting the rest, except Mail allows you to have slightly different From/To and Date Sent/Date Received settings for Sent.

Creating views for users by entering a field
Hi I want to create a veiw for a new user.
I want the user to view details for a member after he has entered a Membership No
create view member_details
(&memberno, name, address)as
select memberno, name, address
from member
where memberno = &memberno;
when i use this command it asks me for a memberno, I enter one so when the user logs in and
select * from reilly.member_details;
all he gets is the info for the memberno I have entered
how do I fix this so the user is the one entering the membernoIf your admin staff need to access details for any member, can't they just query a view of all members and specify a memberno then?
View (presumably more complex than this in reality) would be
create view member_details
(memberno, name, address) as
select memberno, name, address
from members;Admin user query would be:
select * from member_details
where memberno = &memberno; Is SQL*Plus really the interface you provide your admin users with? -
When I am browsing the playlist list, I get lost, I find it very hard to pick up a playlist at a glance.
First the application should show the current user owned playlists in a different color.
Then it would be cool to have the possibility to specify an highlight/background color for a specific playlist to be able to organize them better.
For example I prepare a playlist for a trip and I set it in red so that I do not have to search for it every time I want to select it.
This is like it is today:
I was thinking at something like OSX does on Mac:
Another improvement could be then maybe to search for specific colored playlists.Updated: 2015-07-05Hi and thanks for your contribution! A similar idea has also been suggested here:

How to Upload different Material with Different Selection View
Hello Experts!
Iu2019m new in ABAP and trying to understand methods of LSMW. Now I get a question for you guys. Let say I need to upload 10 different materials. Now for instance.
1st material has Basic data 1 and Basic data 2.
2nd material has Basic data 1, Purchasing and Purchase Order text
3rd material has Basic data 1, Classification, Purchasing, MRP 1, MRP 2 & MRP 3.
4th material has Basic data 1 & Basic data 2.
5th material has Basic data 1, Classification, Purchasing, MRP 1, MRP 2 & MRP 3.
And so on. Now here Iu2019ve notice that every material has different INDUSTRY SECTOR, MATERIAL TYPE AND SELECTION VIEWS. I understand that Industry Sector, Material Type and other data I can specify in my file but how I can control SELECTION VIEWS for different materials. Because for different Selection view coming screens will become different accordingly.
So can somebody can please tell me how I can control different select views for different material and upload it in SAP.
Thanks.Hi
I understand that you are performing LSMW on MM01 transaction code..and are uploading through batch input in LSMW.
Actually, for a tcode like MM01 I dont think you should use LSMW, instead you can go with the BAPI: BAPI_MATERIAL_SAVEDATA.
The views is a serious problem with MM01 when performing using batch input..
So, go through the documentation in SE37 tcode for the BAPI...
The information you get there will help you on how to proceed.

How can the info block be assigned with the view and assign view to users.
Dear Friends,
Anyone could plz tell me how can the info block be assigned with the view and assign view to users. Also how can the info block in sale summary be assigned with a view and how to assign this view for user.
Regards,
AshimaHi,
To define view and to make it default
Goto SAP IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales Support (CAS) > Sales Summary > Define Reporting Views (Tcode:OVCD).
To assign default user to the view.
Goto SAP IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales Support (CAS) > Sales Summary > Assign Default View To User (Tcode:OVCC).
To assign Elements of SAPScript "SD-SALES-SUMMARY" to information Blocks To A View use
Goto SAP IMG > Sales and Distribution > Sales Support (CAS) > Sales Summary > Assign Information Blocks To A View (Tcode:OVCB). -
Hi,
I added a list view web part into a SharePoint 2013 page and it is working as expected, except for one thing.
I have enabled the option for the user to change the view for the web part. However when the user changes it, the user is redirected away from the page containing the web part, to the URL of the list itself.
Is there a way to circumvent this issue so when the user selects a different view it updates the listing in the web part itself, rather than the user being redirected?
Thanks in advance for the help.
Regards,
P.Hi,
Please understand that one page can only display one view. You could find it out by observing the Address in browser when switching among different views for a list.
If you would like to change the view of a list web part, you could go to web part propertites > Select view and configure it.
In addition, here is a thread with similar requirement that might help:

Active Directory Authentication and permissions for user group in APEX 4.0
Hello,
I am new to oracle APEX and I have searched the forum for active directory authentication for a user group and I am really confused about all the different threads. Can anyone please provide me the steps to follow; in order to implement AD authentication for a user group in Oracle APEX 4.0.
These are the threads which i was looking at to get an idea like how AD authentication works but its really confusing for me.

One query - one database - different execution plan for different users.
Hi everyone.
I've encountered one of the strangest things I've ever seen with Oracle. I'm hoping that someone else here has seen something like this before and solved it! On an 11g database I have a query that runs differently depending on which user runs it. If the owner of the tables or someone with the DBA role runs the query I get a perfect execution plan. If someone else runs it, I get a really bad execution plan - though the query still executes. So it almost seems like depending on who is running the query, the optimizer might not have access to the same statistics?? I'm really grasping at straws here - any help would be greatfully accepted!!!
Here is the query and the two plans for it...
