Different Overall Results in 3.x and 2004s

used the “Average Of all values” for the Over all results for the query in 3.x (Average Of all values) version and 2004s (Moving Average /Average) version
For 2006 there are posting in the cube but summed up to “0”. No posting for the year 2007 in the cube.

year     2002     2003     2004     2005     2006     2007     Overall Result     Overall Results

(50.59 + 59.75 + 46.66 + 90.53 + 0.00 ) / 5 = 49.306175290
(50.59 + 59.75 + 46.66 + 90.53 + 0.00 ) / 6 = 41.088479409
Same difference I observed even  if I run the same 3.x query in ABAP( Results Value is 49.306175290) run time and Java run time (Result Value is 41.088479409) from RSRT.
Please let me know if anyone of you observed the same thing.
I observe this difference in both SPS10(SP12) and SPS12(SP14) of BI 70 as compared to 3.5 version queries.
How canI get the results as it was in 3.x with 2004s queries.

  • Why different Overall requirements value between labor and pool capacity

    Hi all,
I create a PM Order with using a PP work center and this PP work has 3 Capacity category: machine, labor, pool.
after I check the PM Order with CM35
and i find out, that Overall requirements value are different between labor and pool capacity. Is this normal?
In my opinion, labor and pool should have same amount requirements of capacities.

  • Suppress Overall result (both rows and columns side and its data)

    Hello all,
I need to do some settings in BEx Query Designer, so that In BEx Analyzer, I don't see 'overall result' both on 'rows' and 'column' sides
This is what I have done so far
In 'rows' section, Properties of my KF (no. Products) then 'calculation' tab 'calculate result as'=Suppress result
This way in BEx Analyzer I don't see the FIGURES/DATA for 'Result' and 'overall result' BUT 'result' and 'overall result' still exist both on rows and colum side even if there are not figures in them.
Is there any property in BEx Designer so that I don't see 'overall result' at all
    Best regards
    Ahmad

    thanks for responding
selecting a characteristic, properties, Display tab, Result lines: Always Suppress
with this I don't see 'result'
but 'overall result' result exist both on 'rows' and 'column' side alongwith its data.
If I combine the above with this: selecting KF, properties, calucations, Calculate result as: Suppress result
    then
I don't see the data in 'overall result' BUT 'overall result' still exist both on rows and column sides
any setting so that 'overall result' completely vanishes
    Best regards

  • Issue with Overall result in Formula

    Hi all,
I have two keyfigures K1, K2 and a formula F1 in the report. (F1 = K1/ K2). And i have set the "Calculate result As" property of the keyfigure K2 as "Average". My report output looks like this,
    K1   |    K2   |   F1
    5     |    10    |    0.5
    10   |    15    |    0.6
    15   |   12.5  |   0.6               (Overall Result)
The overall result of the K1 and K2 are fine. But overallresult of F1 is incorrect. Its should be (15 / 12.5 = 1.2 ) .  But system is calculating as 15 / 25 = 0.6,  where 25 is got by summing K2 values.
    How to overcome this issue?
    Thanks in advance...

    Hi,
Average for two number N1 and N2 is (N1+N2)/2
here in your case looking at this formula system is calculating the right values.
    overallresult of F1Its should be ((15 / 12.5)/2 = 1.2 /2)   which is 0.6 . System is calculating as0.6 which ideally is correct.

  • Different Risk Analysis Results with 10.0 and 10.1

    Hello,
I do not understand why I get different results with 10.0 and 10.1. Exactly the same ruleset is applied!
    Definition in 10.0 and 10.1:
Analyzed Role (which definitely contains the SOD):
Version GRC 10.0 finds the SOD S_FI14 and displays it. In 10.1 nothing is displayed...Any ideas what's the problem?
    Regards
    Peter

We had similar issues with 10 and 10.1.
We applied an SAP Note about logical groups and the ruleset, it did not work.
    What did work:
When performing Risk Analysis, remove the Ruleset selection criteria (use the minus button).

  • How to get  the Overall result and Avg in Query

    Hi
I am facing a problem to find Overall result and Avg for the keyfigure.
    Here is the scenario.
I have a fiscalperiod ,qty in query column and material in row, when user enters the fiscalperiod(004.2006 to 006.2006)
    the output should come as
       0406 0506 0606  Avg
    M1  10  20   40     35
    M2  20  40   30     45
    res 30  60  70
i can able to get the overall result not avg,
if i change the properities of keyfigure 'Calicuate Result as 'Average of all values'',then i am loosing the overall result.
eitherway i can able to get one result, not both.
    anybody can help.
    Thanks
    Madhu

You have 2 key figures and you have put Material in the ROWS.
Remove Material from ROWS and instead use 0FISCYEAR in the row selection.
You can create 12 Key figures for each month and use either Filer or Free Characteristic using 0CALMONTH to restrict the month for the selection Variable.
For the Key Figures use "Calculate Single Value as" Average.
Create another formula as KF1KF2....+KF12 to get the sum of average.

Many other people agree with you, including some Sun engineers.
Perhaps Sun just feels an obligation to continue to allow it for legacy reasons.
You might also investigate the compiler that comes with Eclipse.
    http://www.eclipse.org/
It has a more flexible approach: for some cases, it lets you decide what is a warning and what is an error.

  • Modifying the text "Result" and "Overall Result" in a BEx query output

    Hi,
    1) Is it possible to modify the text "Result", "Overall Result" which appears in the sub-total and grand total lines of BEx query output? I do not see any related setting the properties area of the object in BEx Query designer. Do I have to write some VB code or can I do something in Customer Exits?
Also my client wants that this text need to be made dynamic such as "Sub-Total for the month of Jan 2006".
I can use work book option and change the texts manually. But this is not meeting my clients requirement.
2)Is it possible to have dynamic title text for a BEx query?
We are on BW 3.5 & if any of you could provide / guidance to the above issue.
    Thanks,
    Venkatram

You will have to use VB Macros to change the text "Result" and "Overall Result", there is not settings in the query designer for the same.
You can have dynamic descriptions for queries using text variables like Expense Query for month of Jan 2006, if user selected Jan 2006.
    Thanks.

    Hi Daya,
Thanks for the reply. in the report i have other keyfigures also for which i need to show subtotals.
its only for 3 keyfigures i need to hide the subtotal result and show overall result.
when iam hiding the result rows of the key figure iam not getting the result in the overall result column as well.
i only want a result for overall result while supressing the subtotals for 3 keyfigures out of 10 keyfigures.

  • Overall result in Query designer displaying ' * ' for one kf when executing

    Hello
I have a got a kf in which value ' * ' is getting displayed when i have done display overall results for one of my chars. Now what i am hoping is that this can be because there are too many records in the display and the total is too huge and that is the reason it is disaplying * in it. Please can somone guide me if there is some setting that can be done

    Hi Tom,
This is because you have different unit or currency in the data record and you can not sum it if they are different unit/Currency therefore system is showing you *.
You can try NODIM(KF) and see if it is adding or try currency or unit conversion at query level so that all records in the query have same unit/currency.

  • Overall Result Row is not the Sum of Individual Values!

I am frustrated with a weird problem.  I have an expense report in which Expense1 is shown a value of 8,126.  If I drilldown by company code, the sum of the company codes is 8,235, but the "Overall Result" row is showing 8,126.
I tried drilling down by GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, material and even currency.  For all of these drilldowns the "Overall Result" row is 8,126 but the individual values sum out to be 8,235.
First I thought it could be "Zero Suppression" that is hiding some values from the display.  But "Zero Suppression" was not active at all.  I have checked the LISTCUBE and saw that the Expense1 should be 8,235 and not 8,126.  The key figure properties "Calculate Result As" and "Calculate Single Values As" are set to "Nothing Defined" and "Use Default Direction".  But still for some strange reason, the "Overall Result" row is different than the sum of individual rows.  It's driving me crazy as I have ran out of ideas to figure out what's happening.  Could someone help me with this?  I would appreciate any input with points!

    Hi,
Remove the 'Suppress Zero rows/columns' from the query definition and then check the values.
Column A might have value, but for the same row column B might have zero, hence the row was not shown in the result set, but the overall result will include all such values as well, even thought it was not shown in the result set.
    HTH,
    regards,
    Nataraj.

  • Problem in Overall Result of querie

    Hello Guys,
Iu2019m in trouble and need your help.
Iu2019m creating a simple query over the Standard Material Stocks Infocube.
The requirement is to have 4 column and drill down in lines:
1 u2013 Stock quantity issued in Specific date (from begin date to end date). Key Figure 0VALSTCKQTY
    2 - Column 3 divided by column 4.
3 u2013 Stock value in Specific date (from begin date to end date) Key Figure 0VALSTCKVAL
4 u2013 Stock Value issued in Specific date (from begin date to end date) Key Figure 0ISSVS_VAL
I created a condition in column 1 because I only wanted quantities > 0. After that I executed the query and noticed that the individual results were fine but the overall result was completely wrong.
I investigated and noticed that the sum of all lines was different from the result. Itu2019s happening because in column 4 I have some lines that donu2019t have quantity issued assigned. I created the condition specifically to eliminate these cases.
Basically, the system is filling the overall result with all values between the dates chosen. I changed calculations of column 4, to calculate results as total.
After this the result appeared to be fine, but the formula in column 2 continues to use the wrong values.
Do you know a way to solve this question?
    Many thanks in advance.

    Hi.
Create a calculated key figure, using a boolean to check on column one if its not 0 (so the value of the boolean will return as 1 when you got values and 0 when you got nothing) and multiply it with column 4.
Thus, in your ckf you only get values from col 4, when col 1 is not 0. If it is 0, you get 0 from col 4.
Now hide col 4 and base your calculation in col 2 on you new ckf. You can handle the division by 0, if it gives you trouble and set it to 0.
Use the condition you already have as before.
    Regards
    Jacob

  • Wrong overall result population in the query output

    Hi All,
I have few issues with my query..
we have a query which gives  report about the brand name, brand element, brand group, netsales, cumulative sales and royality percentage.
    1. the over all result for the Royality percentage is not getting calulated properly... i have compared the result setting of the other fields which get proper overall result.  i dint find any difference even then i face this issue
    2. The royality percentage is a% of netsales.. but here is issue is when i drill down thro Brand element i am getting proper amount i.e. a% of current sales but when i remove drill down am getting wrong value... and this happens only for one brand not for others...i dont understand why is this happening..
    3. let us consider we have 4 brands.  for 2 brands my royality percentage is getting calculted properly but for 2 brands it is showing wrong value.
can anyone help me out in this issue...
i dint get even a single clue regarding this... need your expert help

    Hi ,
in our report we have calculated roayality fee based up on current net sales.
current sales comes directly from the infoprovider..
the royality fee is 6% of current net sales for each brand element.
    Now the issues are
    1. we have four brands... for two brands we are getting correct Royality fee.. i.e. exact 6% of its respective current net sales.
but for two brands we are not getting the 6% value..
    2. There is one more field named Brand Element.  when i drill down the Brand element, for one brand (out of two which gets wrong royalty fee) alone my royalty fee is getting differed.
ex. with drill down royalty fee is 82.5 (which is 6% of its current net sales)
after removing the drill down royalty fee is 63.5 (Which is not related)
it is not happening for other brands.. why is it behaving so.
    3.  What ever the royalty fee is the overall result of the royalty fee is not getting calculated properly..
I.e.  for four brands if i calculate the total of royalty fee it comes around 380
but now it is displayed as 272 (no idea what total it is)
thanks for the help in advance

  • Using Query's overall result in model

    Hello,
Is there a method to use overall result from a BW query in a VC model?
I need the overall result values for different KF's from the query in the model for further computation.
Have tried using a filter for "over*" from the data service output to a table/form ,but didnt work .
Also how do we combine the output of two filters from a data service and take the count of the records in that output ?I have tried combining the two filters with combine/union and then sigma operators, but not got the desired result.  How exactly does combine work ,on what basis does it combine two datasets?
Any help would be most appreciated.
    Rgds

    Hi
That is not a problem you can copy same data service 2 times. Take following example -
Consider you have Country & State in Rows & sales in Columns. Then in your query create input variable for Country & any other variable lilke month if you want. Then -
    1. You will have first chart as Country wise sales which is at summerized level. You will select country from this chart & you will pass this to your second data service which is nothing but a copy of first one. (You can right click on first service & Copy Paste)
    2. Then you join the output of the first chart to the variable port of the second data service. So when you select on the perticular column of the first chart (which is nothing but one country) you will get details of that country state wise break up.
If you still have any doubts please let me know.

    Sandeep
