Different QT Data Rates from Different FCP Versions

My sound guy requires a Motion JPEG A version of my timeline, 320 x 240, 2 fields, odd dominance, at around a 1000-1500 kbit/sec data rate (no audio attached). When I did such conversions from FCP 4.5 / OS 10.3, the quality meter would have to be set to 70% to fit into his data rate requirement. I recently upgraded to FCP 5.0 / OS 10.4 and now I have to set the quality meter to around 15% to get the same data rate!!! What's going on? This quality is far too low for my sound guy to do his job.

It seems that query has been seperated into two, and doesn't have relationship between each others.
However, I also tested the same situation in other environment, and it returns correct result. I found that the query hasn't been seperated into two, but one. The query is as below:

This query returns correct result and seems reasonable.
Assume that the setup in BI Administration is the same for both environment, why the first situation returns query that are separated?

I have made the same remark but not with two different environment and same design.
What can influence the construction of two queries ?
Here some ideas :
- if you have of course two connections pools (I assume not)
- if in our database features (double click on the icon and choose the tab feature), full outer join is not supported
But I have this two requirement on my laptop and I can see that I have also two sql fired.
What you can do is to make a comparison of your two repository.
In the administration tool, File/Compare.
The result will be very interesting.

Can data transfer from SAP4.7 version to ECC6.0?

I want to know is it possible to transfer the data from 4.7version to ECC6.0.
I want to transfer the Data of a table which is there in ECC6,0 to SAP4.7.
I am following the steps given in

And one more thing i want to know is i am having 2 clients in ECC6.0 200 and 800 thing is wht ever table i am creating in 200

If your table has a field named MANDT then it is client-dependent and the data will be different in client 200 and 800. If there is no field MANDT, then the data will be the same. Such table might require a transport though to update the data.
I've never moved separate tables from one client to another (you might talk to your Basis administrator first), but it definitely is possible to exchange the data between different SAP releases. Otherwise they would be out of business already.

Show a different view when called from different app.

Hi,
I have the requirement of showing a different view in the same window when called from different apps (urls).
I have created different start-up inbound plugs and assigned them to the different apps but I can't figure out how to code the view switch.
Any idea?

hi,
It is possible.
Click on the Properties tab of application.In that screen click on the seach help option against Interface view.It will show all views you have created. Select the desired view to which the application has to point.
Don't forget to give the plug name which is under that interface view
Now the application invokes the new view which u have pointed.

Multiclip Dropped Frames/Data Rates from from FW 800, 7200rpm Drive

I am using an external Lacie 7200 rpm "Little Big Disk" .. Editing DV Multiclips in Final Cut (3.6 MB/sec data rate per clip... 7 clips/streams) But it won't play back all at once, anything over 15 MB/sec data transfer rate (as I watch Activity Monitor) it starts choking and dropping frames til it just freezes. Lacie claims that this drive handles a steady 80MB/sec transfer rate... All I need to do all these streams is 26 MB/sec (That's the speed it does at work from an XSAN and no problem playing back 7 streams of DV) Is the bog down in my system the FW800, my RAM, processor, or the Cache of the drive? (16MB)

Do you have any other FireWire devices (incl. cameras) plugged into other ports on the computer or on the drive itself? There's only one FireWire bus on a G5, and it's shared between the FW800 port and the FW400 port on the back in addition to the FW400 port on the front.
If you have other devices plugged in, they can cause the entire bus to slow down to the speed of the slowest connected device.

Data Rate from XServe Raid

I have what I thought would be a simple question, but I've found nothing anywhere to answer it.
We have a new G5 Quad and an XServe Raid connected via Fibre Channel with 4 500 GB drive modules. Our Video capture card is the Decklink Extreme SD, but my employer has found a firm that will transfer our Cinealta HDCam tapes at full HD onto hard drives for transfer into our system. He then wants to work in full 10 bit uncompressed 4:2:2 HD (1080i) for editing.
I have tried several RAID configurations and used the Decklink Drive Speed Test Utility and found that the fastest data rate I am able to achieve is around 75 MB/sec (using RAID 0), which, according to the utility is only good for about 15 fps at 10 bit 4:2:2 1080.
So my question is this: How many Xserve Raid drive modules striped as RAID 0 would we need to achieve the 182.3 MB/sec data rate (according to the FCP manual) required to edit in full 10 bit 4:2:2 at 1080i at 24-30 fps? Is it simply a matter of doubling the 4 we now have? or is there some other calculation that would be required?

Figure conservatively that each fully loaded controller (7 drives) in an Xserve RAID will give you 80 to 100 MB/sec. 160 to 200 MB/sec for both controllers fully loaded.
With an Xserve RAID, RAID 5 will give you almost the same bandwidth as RAID 0, so there's insufficient reason to forego the file protection of RAID 5.
Then, when you stripe the two sides together in Disk Utility, you should be getting more than 200 MB/sec, enough for a single stream of uncompressed 1080i, but probably not enough for two streams. It depends.

How to store as single record data coming from different ods to cube

Same contract values are uploaded from 3 ods to cube.In the cube this information is stored as 3 different records.
Is there any option having same contract no and same fiscal period values should be stored as single record in cube.

On Performance Side .....consider below points
1. Indexes on Cube ( That delete indexes before load and create them after Load ).
2. Aggregate Design ( Decision on Base Aggregates, roll up Hierarchy , BW Statistics etc ).
3. Partition of InfoCube ( Basically decision on No. of Partition )
4. Data Package Size ( Always try to have larger Data Package so that preaggreation will reduce the no. of Data Records ).
Best is Service.sap.com on BI page u will find material for performance . THat will help you .
To assign points on the left of screen u will get radio buttons for assigning points for each person who has responded .

Data Merge From different soruces

We have scenarion where MDM is going to sned the two data set through two different syndication map - Product-Release (PR) and Release (R). These two messages needs to be merged based on the Release Number exisiting in both the message to form the final target message. I am planning to use BPM for this, but wanted to check if anything which I have missed in this. I think it is possible to merge two messages into one based on some identifier (ReleaseNumber) through co-relationID. Any input or validation would be helpful.

Yes. You must use BPM and you must use correalation. Based on that, you have execute the transformation 2 to 1 type and send.

Data extraction from different clients

Hi ,
I am extracting the from R/3 810 to BI 800 client . Is it possible to do the extraction from diffenrent clients ? While extracting the data at infosource level transfer rules structure is pointing to flatfile source system instead of sap source system by default and i am getting error like Transfer rules are not activated (But tranfer rules Activated/Saved ) . Please guide me .

Hi Udaya,
Off cource you can load from as many clients as you want. I think in your case transfer structure is referring to more than one source system. If you drop down the Source system (option in transfer structure) you will find more than one source system. Select the source system that you want and activate the infosource again. It should fine after that.

Data modified from different sources

I have a problem with getting data into an AB ML1200 PLC. I will simplify this to explain: I have data going into reg N7:0 thats the result of a calculation. Lets say
"N7:0=TextEntry1.value*10". All goes well, but there is another local HMI that also writes to N7:0. Although this local HMI's N7:0 value shows the reflected change of the calc above from Lookout, any attempt to change the local HMI's N7:0 value is overridden by the calc. I need to be able to change the value from the local HMI and have Lookout update the "TextEntry1.value" to reflect the change. It sounds simple enough but it's kickin' my butt! As a sidenote I wouldn't have this problem if the AB driver in Lookout for the MicroLogix supported float (F) regs - I was kind of shocked it did not. Any ideas?

It looks like you need to make the connection on remote source. For example, create a pot. On its property page, edit its remote source to the N7:0. It will be both read and write connection.
But you also need to mutiply the value by 10, so you can first create an Alias on N7:0 by right-clicking on driver object and select Edit Data Member Configuration. Input the scaling, for example, raw value from 0 to 100, and eng value from 0 to 10, so that this Alias will represent the value of N7:0/10. Give a name to this Alias. And then, bind the pot's remote source to this Alias. Have a try.

Different sample rates from different cameras

I took some video with my Panasonic video camera which samples at 48kHz. At the same time I was shooting with my Digital camera which samples at 8kHz. I am trying to pan between the two of them but the timing does not match up through the video. The clips are approximately 3 min and 20 seconds. Any idea how I can get these two things to synch up?

Video camera is Panasonic. PV-GS250
Digital camera is Lumix DMC-LX2
The Browser in FCE shows me that the video camera's audio format is 16-bit integer and 48kHz, the audio from the digital camera is 8-bit integer and 8kHz. I assumed that was the bit depth and sample rate.
Good question on the video format of the digital camera. I just assumed it was DV-NTSC, and so thats how I imported it. I will check into that as it seems to be the most likely solution.

Combined more Data Fields from different segments in single report

i want to combined report from more then one segment(like 2 fields from Sales & Distribution & one Field from Inventory) then what should i do so far,
should i create cubes in respective segment,
either i create that but when i add it into Select item in that after selection of a field all of others segment disabled.

By far the simplest method would be to concatenate the two fields in a calculation like this: FIELDA || FIELDB
Should you want spaces between them then do this: FIELDA || ' ' || FIELDB
If you want a dash and spaces either side you do this: FIELDA || ' - ' || FIELDB

Data Transfer from 4.7 version system to 6.0 version system

We have our FICO system is on 4.7 version. But our HR System is on 6.0 version. FICO (4.7) system is old one with all data. And HR (6.0) is being newly implemented....
We need some data from FI (4.7) system to HR (6.0) . In future if any changes happens in FI (4.7) system the same changes need to be done in HR (6.0) system too . For ex : If currency of particular country changed..Then as FI is imp we will make that chnage in FI box..We want to reflect the same change in HR box as well.....
We found 2 ways for this :
!) doing manually
2) Doing either by transporting or using ALE /IDoc method
We want to investigate ways to perform the same using 2 way as this is very simple. But we have doubts here... As HR is on 6.0 and FI is on 4.7 ..... Can we transport data using transports ??? (between2 different versions /??)
If transports are not done , then we do that using ALE/ IDocs? using IDoc's we gerenally send transctional data... This configuration settings comes under master data ... can we send this master data using ALE/ IDoc or LSMW..If yes suggest us the msg types ...or other needed info,.

Yes, distribution of master data via ALE should be OK between these two systems, no problems whatsoever.
You can use message type COSMAS to distribute cost centres for example which is necessary and is most common change scenario for both HR and FI systems. For all other message types see list of Message Types under transaction (Area Menu) WEDI.
I think ALE should be the correct approach given your scenario.

Export using XML (2 or 3) from FCP6 and import that into 5.1.
