Different scrap quanitity for alternate item

Hi Guys,
I have alternate item in my BOM header. That is two alternate raw materials are used for manufacturing the SFG and have different scrap quantity , in this case how to create BOM?
Thanks and regards
Thamizh_g

Hi,
For the alternate items you can maintain the scrap % in material master as Assly scrap in MRP-1 view & component scrap in MRP-4 view. Also you can maintain the scrap qty in BOM also, in the BOM item level you can maintain the operation scrap. But BOM will be having the highest priority.

  • How to add different background image for submenu items???

    Hi all,
    I'm pretty new to web design and CSS in particular. Here's my problem...
    I've got a Spry horizontal menu bar (untouched as yet), and I want to have a different background image for my submenu items than that of my menu items. From searching the internet I think that I need to apply a class to the submenu item (please correct me if I am wrong).
    How would I go about doing this and how would I assign the class to just the submenu items?
    Also ideally I want to have my first and last menu items to have rounded corners on one side (therefore making a rounded edge menu bar), is it possible to have a different background image for individual menu items? If so, how?
    Really appreciate any help!

    Thanks for the link! I've managed to sort the background issue, and it seems to be working fine!
    Just one little issue left to tackle...
    I want my text to be centered in my top menu items BUT aligned left in my drop down menu items. I have managed this but the text hugs the left hand side. I've tried adding a little margin to the left but that doesn't seem to affect anything???
    Here's my CSS... Any ideas which class I should be targeting or why adding the margin isn't working would save my tearing the rest of my hair out! thanks! (screenshot attached).

  • Availability check  for Alternate items

    Hi PP Guys,
    In the BOM alternative item group has been maintained with the parameters of Priority, Strategy "2" language probability 100%.
    Alternative item group with the strategy " 2 ", it will check for full required quantity of the 1st priority item while doing availability check in the production order, if there is any stock deficit it will check for 2nd priority item for full required quality.
    But the requirement is, if there is any stock deficit with the 1st priority item, then quantity available with the 1st priority item should be confirmed and the balance shortfall quantity should check with the 2nd priority item and accordingly it should confirm the requirements.
    Please suggest me, is there any way to map the above requirement.
    regards,
    Purna

    Purna,
    This is not possible in standard SAP. SAP has provided only two options for this. The one which you explained and the other in which you define the percentage of usage probability.

  • Different pricing procedures for two different items in a sales order.

    Hi ,
    In a sales order I have two items , one is TAN item and other item is TAD (services).. Since the tax structure is different for above mentioned items, user wants to apply two different pricing procecdures for two items in a sales order.
    Can any one suggest how to get this functionality.
    Thanks,
    Ashok S

    Dear Ashok,
    As Rithivika rightly mentioned that in one sales oder you can't get two pricing procedures.
    Because pricing procedure determination will takes place based on these combination
    Sales areaDocument pricing procedureCustomer pricing procedure-->Pricing procedure.
    So If you want different pricing procedure either one of the combination should be different.
    But you try this
    You can maintain service related tax condition types also in the same procedure,but when you maintain condition record you can maintain material wise.
    So when you create sales order system will pick the pricing based on the material(standard item or service item).
    I hope this will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

    Pls  reply  soon  we are goin live in 2 days with ur contact no....thanks...

    Hi,
    I think this is not possible through standard, but I can suggest if you can seek help from your technical guys asking if it is possible through output routines what we maintain in the output determination procedure....
    Give him the requirement and ask him if he can create a custom routine for this.....

  • MRP - Single Purchase requisition for multiple Items

    Hi
    We have recently introduced MRP module in SAP .In some specific scaeanrios , we want to create a single Purchase Requisition for multiple items .Standard SAP generate different Purchase requisition for each item
    Is there any way out

    Sandeep,
    This topic has been covered numerous times in this forum and in the MM forum.  You evidently have not used the search feature.  There are thousands of posts in these forums, and the search function will be very helpful for you in future questions.
    To answer your question, No, nothing is available to make standard SAP MRP create Purchase requisitions for multiple items.
    Most companies address this issue during the conversion of Purchase Requisitions to Purchase orders.  During this process, you can add many items to a single purchase order.

  • Contract - Plant Conditions - Different delivery times for plant

    Hi people,
    I have a question about contracts , in transaction ME32K.
    I enter a Contract number
    Edit -> Plant Conditions menu.
    Select a plant and I can enter a different Net Price for each item for this plant. How can I enter "Planned Delivery Time" for each item for this plant?
    In this case, the vendor has different delivery times for each plant and I cannot enter this information.
    Do you know if it is possible?
    Thanks a lot!

    Hi,
        The basic requirement is for the trading of material which is imported  and for the material which are purchase locally there should be different invoice for such materials,  but while creating the sales order we have only one sales order including all types of materials so in such case we want to create different delivery challans  so that different invoice can be made easily  or only twi invoice for one delivery challan.

  • Create wip jobs for same item with different routings.

    My scenario is , i am having 2 production lines for the same End item. If both lines are available to use, then WIP jobs have to be created for both lines. If either one is available then WIP job has to be created only for that line. Please suggest the setups for this. This way i can increase the production rate.

    HI Jey-2013,
    In your organization, you first need to define Bills and Routings for the item/items.  Now to use two routings for 1 item, you need to define Alternate Routing.
    For that go to BOM>Setup> Alternates and create an Alternate name for the second routing.
    Then Go again to BOM>routing and use the Alternate name for the item to create a different Routing. After that you will have two different routings for same item.
    Whenever you create a job in WIP, you will have an option to choose either the default or the original routing. This way you can accomplish your goal of using different routings as and when required. Hope this helps you. Kindly let me know

  • The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information. Outcome: Unknown Error

    Received this error (The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information.) recently on a workflow that was
    working fine and no changes were made to the workflow.
    I have tried a few suggestions, i.e. adding a pause before any ‘Update’ action (which didn’t help because the workflow past this action without incident); checked the data type being written
    to the fields (the correct data types are being written); and we even checked the list schema to ensure the list names and the internal names are aligned (they
    are), but we still cannot figure out why the workflow is still throwing this error.
    We located the area within the workflow step where it is failing and we inserted a logging action to determine if the workflow would execute the logging action but it did not, but wrote the same error message.
    The workflow is a Reusable Approval workflow designed in SharePoint Designer 2010 and attached to a content type.
    The form associated with the list was modified in InfoPath 2010.
    Approvers would provide their approval in the InfoPath form which is then read by the workflow.
    Side note - items created after the workflow throws this Unknown Error some seem to be working fine.
    We have deleted the item in question and re-added it with no effect.
    Based on what we were able to determine there don’t seem to be any consistency with how this issue is behaving.
    Any suggestions on how to further investigate this issue in order to find the root cause would be greatly appreciated?
    Cheers

    Hi,
    I understand that the reusable workflow doesn’t work properly now. Have you tried to remove the Update list item action to see whether the workflow can run without issue?
    If the workflow runs perfectly when the Update list item action is removed, then you need to check whether there are errors in the update action. Check whether the values have been changed.

  • The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information using Update Item action

       I got error  "The workflow could not update the item, possibly because one or more columns for the item require a different type of information "I  found out the cause is  Update Item action
    I need to update item in another List call Customer Report ,the field call "Issues"  with data type  "Choice"   to yes
    then the error arise .   please help..

    Thanks for the quick response Nikhil.
    Our SPF 2010 server is relatively small to many setups I am sure. The list with the issue only has 4456 items and there are a few associated lists, eg lookups, Tasks, etc see below for count.
    Site Lists
    Engagements = 4456 (Errors on this list, primary list for activity)
    Tasks = 7711  (All workflow tasks from all site lists)
    Clients = 4396  (Lookup from Engagements, Tslips, etc)
    Workflow History = 584930 (I periodically run a cleanup on this and try to keep it under 400k)
    Tslips = 3522 (Engagements list can create items here, but overall not much interaction between lists)
    A few other lists that are used by workflows to lookup associations that are fairly static and under 50 items, eg "Parters Admin" used to lookup a partners executive admin to assign a task.

  • How to maintain different prices for same item in different organizations

    hi all,
    We have noticed that the list price of an item at Item Validation Org level is getting defaulted when creating requisitions. We want to maintain different prices for the item for different organizations, so that the prices will be properly defaulted to requsitions depending on supplier and receiving org.
    We found one way of doing this. Using contract purchase agreement and Advanced Pricing price lists. Can anyone please let us know if there is any other way of achieving this??
    Also, I have a question regarding Advanced pricing Price Lists. I performed following steps.
    1.Set the QP: Licensed for Product profile to Purchasing
    2.Create and approve a contract purchase agreement in Oracle Purchasing
    3.Define Price Lists and Price List Lines (optional)
    4.Define sourcing rules and ASLs to automatically default source information onto requisition lines. Associate Contract to ASL.
    5. This will enable Oracle Advanced Pricing integration in the following Oracle Purchasing functionality:
    Requisition pricing
    Purchase order pricing
    But when I create requisitions, the price from price list is not getting defaulted automatically. In requisitions form, if I go to source tab and select source as a Contract Purchase Agreement, then the price from price lists is getting defaulted. Is there any way where the source for the requisition can be automatically defaulted to Contract and the price can be picked from price lists??

    Can oyu not make it an organization level item and specify the proce there instead of keeping it a master level item?

  • Spry Menu Bar - Different Background Image Wanted for menu items

    Hi, I've looked everywhere for help with this and just haven't found any answers yet ...
    I want my Dreamweaver CS5.5 menu to look like this design I've done in PhotoShop ...
    It's a simple one level list with no sub-levels.
    Everything is good, except I can only set one background image for all the menu items at this level.
    I want the first, last, and all the middle, menu items to use different background images.
    I have no idea where or how to insert the code to set a different background image for each individual menu item ...
    I know I could use images set one on top another in a column with rollover image swop, but the spry menu opens the door for dynamic content so I'm keen to get it working.
    Manchester city council has a great example of this style of menu design working at - http://www.manchester.gov.uk/
    They've got funky indenting of the text as well.
    ~~~~~~
    This is the code for my menu list ...
      <div class="sidebar1">
        <ul id="MenuBar1" class="MenuBarVertical">
          <li><a href="#">Home</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">News</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Groups</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Events</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">About</a></li>
          <li><a href="#">Contact</a></li>
             <li><a href="#">Help</a></li>
        </ul>
      </div>
    This is how I set the background image (but I can only define one image) ...
    I set the image background to "Menu-Nav-Bar-Pic-Top-v1-w170px-h32px.jpg" through ...
    CSS Styles
    SpryMenuBarVertical.css
    ul.MenuBarVertical a
    I then select the background category
    and browse to the image file.
    doing this changes my CSS code as follows ...
    ul.MenuBarVertical li
        padding: 0;
        list-style-type: none;
        font-size: 100%;
        position: relative;
        text-align: left;
        cursor: pointer;
        width: 170px;
        margin-top: 4px;
        margin-bottom: 4px;
        background: url(/Images/Menu-Nav-Bar-Pic-Top-v1-w170px-h32px.jpg);
    ul.MenuBarVertical ul
        padding: 0;
        list-style-type: none;
        font-size: 100%;
        position: absolute;
        z-index: 1020;
        cursor: default;
        width: 170px;
        left: -1000em;
        top: 0;
        margin-right: 0;
        margin-bottom: 0;
        margin-left: 95%;
        background: url(/Images/Menu-Nav-Bar-Pic-Top-v1-w170px-h32px.jpg);
    ul.MenuBarVertical a
        display: block;
        cursor: pointer;
        padding: 0.5em 0.75em;
        color: #0000;
        text-decoration: none;
        font: normal 12px Verdana, Geneva, sans-serif;
        background: #EEE url(/Images/Menu-Nav-Bar-Pic-Top-v1-w170px-h32px.jpg);
    ~~~~~~
    These are the three images I want to apply to the top middle and bottom menu items :
    Top menu item background image - "Menu-Nav-Bar-Pic-Top-v1-w170px-h32px.jpg"
    Middle menu items background image - "Menu-Nav-Bar-Pic-Mid-v1-w170px-h32px.jpg"
    Bottom menu item background image - "Menu-Nav-Bar-Pic-Bot-v1-w170px-h32px.jpg"
    ~~~~~~
    As I am unable to set the menu items individually, this is how the menu looks like on my website at the moment ...
    ~~~~~~
    So near yet so far ! I'm hapy with the verdana font, the image size and spacing, but the background images I just can't set them right.
    I'd really appreciate any help on this as I'm out of ideas.
    Thank you.

    The easiest way is to use pseudo elements.
    To style the first and last menu items ifferently to the rest, merely add :first-child and :last-child respectivly as follows
    <!DOCTYPE HTML>
    <html>
    <head>
    <meta charset="utf-8">
    <title>Untitled Document</title>
    <script src="SpryAssets/SpryMenuBar.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <link href="SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarVertical.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
    <style>
    ul.MenuBarVertical li:first-child a {
        background-color: red;
        color: white;
    ul.MenuBarVertical li:last-child a {
        background-color: green;
        color: yellow;
    </style>
    </head>
    <body>
    <ul id="MenuBar1" class="MenuBarVertical">
      <li><a href="#">Item 1</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Item 2</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Item 3</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Item 4</a></li>
      <li><a href="#">Item 5</a></li>
    </ul>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    var MenuBar1 = new Spry.Widget.MenuBar("MenuBar1", {imgDown:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarDownHover.gif", imgRight:"SpryAssets/SpryMenuBarRightHover.gif"});
    </script>
    </body>
    </html>
    In your case, in liue of the background colour, you would have an image.

    This item already exists in the mtl_system_items_b as a master item (ie assigned to the master org) it has template "STOCK ITEM"
    and is also attached to the first org
    I want to create the same item as a nonstock for the Second org
    Can this be done?
    When i tried to do the import it failed giving me a INV_IOI_MASTER_CHILD_1A error (Master - Child Conflict in one of these Attributes: Default Buyer(BUYER_ID), Accounting Rule(ACCOUNTING_RULE_ID), Invoicing Rule(INVOICING_RULE_ID), Purchased(PURCHASING_ITEM_FLAG), Shippable(SHIPPABLE_ITEM_FLAG), Customer Ordered(CUSTOMER_ORDER_FLAG), Internal Ordered(INTERNAL_ORDER_FLAG), Inventory Item(INVENTORY_ITEM_FLAG))
    Any ideas on how to do this?
    Thanks

    Hi Sandeep
    Thanks a lot for the reply
    In our MASter org setup, the Template "T1" is a STOCK_ITEM template and it has the stockable attribute set at the org level.
    This item is also assigned to ORG1 as a T1 STOCK_ITEM.
    So can we create the same item using "T2 which is a NON_STOCK Template in org2 ?
    If yes then that means I just have to create a record in the MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_INTERFACE only for the child org2.My concern is I read somewhere that
    the item import tries to match the attributes of the child org to the master org attribute(for attributes controlled at master org i think).
    And since the attributes for a nonstock are different than those for a STOCK wouldn't that create a problem?
    Thanks

  • Different Pricing date for two line items

    Hi guru's
    How to give different pricing dates for two line items
    in a sales order
    To elaborate
    I have two line items one i need pricing date order date
    second one i need pricing date should be delivery date
    Thanks in advance
    Srinivas

    Dear Srinivas,
             While creating sales order select the item which you want to change the pricing date then go to menu>GOTO>Item -->Click on Sales A here you can able to change the pricing date as you like.
    You can change the pricing date of the item in the sales order through sales order change mode but that sales order should be open.
    I hope it will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.
