How can I make a differentiation between dependent and independent data?

HI,
If you double click a Transfer requirement in SE10 or SE09 and then press F4 in the field category, you will find some helpful information.
Client dependent or independent transfer requirements include client specific or cross client objects in the change requests. Workbench objects like SAPscripts are client specific, some entries in customizing are client independent.
If you display the object list for one change request, and then for each object the object attributes, you will find the flag client specific.
If one object in the task list has this flag on, then that transport will be client dependent.
You can also find a list of the high class objects in SAP, here you will see the flag on/off. Use TCODE SOBJ.
Start STMS and double click on the request itself, you will see which type of request it is (Workbench -> client independent or Customizing -> client dependent).
I recommend you to import every request on each client without looking inside the request.

In addition to above differences. Below is the functional difference between 0FI_AP_30 & 0FI_AP_4:
0FI_AP_4 gives you accounts payable line items in your report. Here GL account shows the balances of particular types of vendors/payables to which that particular GL account is been assigned.
And If subledger is activated in ECC, then by using 0FI_AP_30 you can get the break up of that particular GL balance according to vendors.
To make use of datasource 0FI_AP_30, subledger accounting must be activated in ECC.

Does namcap differentiate between depends and makedepends ?

In my mesa-r600-git AUR package i have the following dependency lines :
depends=('libxt' 'libxxf86vm' 'libxdamage' 'xorg-server' 'libxv' 'libffi')
makedepends=('pkgconfig' 'python2' 'talloc' 'libxml2' 'imake' 'git' 'glproto' 'dri2proto>=2.6' 'llvm>=3.0' 'xorg-server-devel' 'libxvmc' 'libvdpau')
When i run namcap on the pkg, it reports :
mesa-r600g-git W: Dependency libffi included but already satisfied
it is true that python2 and llvm both require libffi to be installed, but these are makedepends, while libffi needs to be present at runtime.
The man page for namcap doesn't make clear if namcap does make a difference between depends and makedepends, does somebody know if it DOES ?

libffi is in your dependency tree...

but there is nothing wrong with specifying it anyway. Hence it is just a warning.

With this component it was my intention to make a more "terse" version of the LabVIEW Flatten to XML VI that was also supported on RT and that gave the user more flexbility regarding the structure of the parsing type definition. I think you are right that the XML parser is not compliant to section 2.11 of the XML spec. The parser does specifically looking for a #D#A and this appears to be an oversight on my part. Please confirm for me, the specifcation is saying that the XML parser should be able to recognize three possibilities as an "end of line" character: #D#A, #D, or #A. Am I reading this right?There are more efficient (and in some cases much more efficient) ways of sharing data between LabVIEW and LabVIEW: some examples are flattened binary strings and the datalog binary format. XML is slower than these optons but the upside is that it is human readable. Furthermore XML is inherently hierarchical which is convenient for complex data structures like clusters of arrays of clusters, etc. If you don't care about human readability then you are correct XML doesn't make as much sense.I will return to the GXML source code and try to fix this in the near future but I would hope that instead of creating yet another custom VI from scratch that you could reuse what I have provided for you. I included enough documentation in the source code so that users could make some modificiations themselves. The target application for this reference library was LabVIEW to LabVIEW communication. As such I documented the schema on the dev zone document from a LabVIEW perspective. It includes all the supported datatypes and all the supported data structures (cluters, arrays, multidimensional arrays, clusters of multidimensional arrays, etc.) I do see some value in making a more conventional XML spec but the time investment required didn't really line up with my intended use case. In real time based on client practices, the cost/activity plan will be based on activity dependant cost.
ex: There is Quality control department and it carries out testing of the products.
now, to get plan/budgeted cost/activity, we can choose the requied cost elements to be planned for the period.
like:
the cost elements are
QC cost elements
Salararies & Benefits
Indirect Materials
Indirect Expeneses
and fixed expenses
for above cost elements we do cost/activity dependant plan and calculate the cost per i hour of testing based on parameters.

Relation between master and transaction data

Hi experts,
I have a basic question how the relation between masterdata and transction data is maintained in R/3. As I know first we extract master data and later transaction data in a typical R/3 based scenario.
1.How does BW knows that , the transaction data are related masterdata in the same sense as in R/3 ?
I am involved in an enhancement of R/3 extractor. I need to derive 3 more fields and map it to info objects in BW. Cld any one explain me ( with an example plz) how these alignments to be made. How can I establish relation b/w derived fields and transaction data during extractions ?

Hi Dave.
Let's see if I can get all of your questions answered. First, when Transactional Data is loaded, BW checks to see if a SID exists for each characterisatic field & value in the load. If one doesn't, it either creates a SID (Surregate ID) in the master data tables (default action) or the load fails (if the enforece referential intgegrity flag is set). It's better to load master data first in either case as it will improve the performance of the transactional load.
In terms of R/3, the data has similar relationships as in BW. There are master data tables and transactional data tables. The difference is that while R/3 uses ~1 master data table per field, BW uses more. Same thing for transactional data.
As for your enhancement, if everything you need for the derivation of the extra field is in R/3, then you can enhance the extractor in RSA6 and do the mapping in R/3. Once you replicate the DataSource to BW and reconnect the transformation & update rules, the load should work. If you can give a bit more information on what sort of enhancement you are attempting, I can give a better example.

Difference between passive and active data connection mode for FTP

Hi,
Does any body have the idea of passive and active data connection mode for the transport protocol FTP.
I have one server with FTP, I have to pick the data from this FTP to XI.
What is the difference between active and passive data connection? Does XI supports both the connections?

A: Up to and including SP14, the File Adapter exclusively uses passive data connections. Starting with SP15, active connections will be available.

There should be a way to easly switch between wifi and cellular data

I think apple should put wifi icon and cellular data icon on the notification bar so we can change between them easily or even closing them both. So other smart phone like Samsung did it from a long time and its really easier way so Apple as the greatest company in the smart phones field should do something for this ..

Enrollment of Benefits for a dependent and for date in the past

Can anyone let me know? What kind of changes need to be done on backend and portal for enrollment iview to enable a date in past for enrolling a dependent to the benefits..

The way we have configured this as follows:
- We ask employees to first add all the dependents to the system before beginning their enrollment process.
- Adjusted the Use cases for the Dependent infotype and subtypes accordingly.
- Implemented the BADI (with custom logic for DEFAULT_DATE) HRXSS_PER_BEGDA to control the start date of the enrolled dependents.
- We control the start date of the dependent records created in various ways (birth day of dependent, employee start date, adjustment reasons, ... )
With this, we are able to provide employees with the ability to add dependents as of a past date and hence enroll dependents in Benefit plans as well.

In table knvp there are link between customer and partners. These partners can be companies but also persons.
Thje personnujmber is filled in case.of a person.
Does anyone knows the links or the tables belonging to that pernr ( like the adddres, email etc.).

Master data of personnel number are stored under infotype tables (table PAxxxx).
e.g. the address is stored in infotype 0006 (PA0006), while email is usually stored in infotype 0105 (PA0105)...
The key fields of those infotypes tables are mainly the personnel number, along with the validity dates and a subtype field if needed (e.g. the standard subtype for email in PA0105 is '0010')...
fyi, You can display/maintain all PA infotypes through transaction PA20/30...
