Digital Copy is only valid in USA itunes store
Hi I purchased a DVD with digital rights. I have a digital rights redemption code, but when i input the code to be redeemed, I receive the following message: "this code is only valid for customers of the USA store."
I only have a Canadian account, and am using the account in Canada.
Really would appreciate any help on getting the code to be considered valid for Canada or transfering the purchase. I do NOT want to create a US itunes account.
On your last sync, it appears you were not logged into the iTunes store on your computer....when you sync it gets your account info from your computer if you are logged into the iTunes store, thus knows where you are and what you can get.
Try logging into the iTunes store on your computer then resyncing.

Odd problem. All my apps from the app store are crashing at startup. I didn't do anything other than connect to a new wi-fi hotspot.
I tried shutting down the booting up again. No luck. Then I tried to delete an app and re-install to see if that helped. When I got to the app store, the content of the featured page for example was different. Then I noticed that the prices were in Euros (a c with two horizontal line through it). Of course, when I tried to re-download the free app with my US AppleID it failed. The error message:

NO WAY! Had no idea. It's not my fault that it's not letting me browse the right store.
Any ideas? I've seen this three times on other people's phones.

I recently downloaded my digital copy of titanic and from the itunes extras screen I push play and nothing happens. The movie is not listed, only the itunes extra is listed in the list. How do I repair?
I have the same problem on the latest iTunes software and Windows 7. My window is maximzed and I do not see any tab for photos. Seems related to a recent update (IOS7?) as this was there - at least before the very big change to the interface.

My Apple ID is only limited to Indonesia iTunes Store. I would like to buy some music from iTunes USA Store. How could I use my Indonesia-based credit card in order for me to buy music from another iTunes store? The iTunes Indonesia store is very limited as it only sells apps and books products.

Why are there so many more choices on the USA iTunes Store? Surely having an iTunes account should let you access all itunes availability the world over?
Also how do you request films/tv series to the UK itunes? There's tv series I'd like but they're incomplete like The Batman & Xena Warrior Princess. And films theta aren't available for download but you can purchase in a store like HMV? Apple isn't doing itself any favours by secluding countries by their store. They'd make billions if you could just select the iTunes Store you want to search & purchase from just by signing in! If anything what they're doing is putting themselves into a corner, other companies like Samsung & HTC are already on too of them for innovation & ease of use. The people they're attracting are predominantly existing Apple users not new customers. What do you guys think?It's not Apple's choice, they can only sell a particular item where the content provider/rights-holder has granted them a license to sell them. Content is licensed by the rights-holders to Apple on a country-by-country basis, each country therefore has to have its own store, and you have to be in a country to use its store - they want control over where their content is available.

You can only buy content from your own country's store, to buy from the US store you will need to be in the US with a US billing address on your account. You can try requesting that the film be added to the Australian store, but unless the film studio/rights-holder agrees to it then Apple won't be able to sell it there : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

I want to buy an album by Miranda but it says only available in Spanish ITunes Store even tho there are lots of ringtones available from this album in the Canadian ITunes Store. So am I out of luck or is there any way to buy it? Frustrating!

Hey live in us but wanting to download an album on iTunes, but they only have in Ireland iTunes Store. What's a way to get this album short of moving to Ireland and setting up a bank account?

Can't play digital copy from blu-ray titles on iTunes 9.0.2.25?
I tried to download and watch the digital copy of Star Trek that is included with my Blu-ray. It prompted me to enter my authorization code then had me log into the iTunes store. It seemed to download the movie fine (the download progress bar filled). When I tried to play the movie, it just brought up a gray window with no picture or audio. The progress bar and time indicator seemed to progress properly. The chapter selection menu showed the correct thumbnail pics. But there was only the gray screen with the control panel buttons on the bottom.
Trying to sync with my iTouch told me it was not copied to my iTouch because I am not authorized to play it on this computer?
I tried the same with Wathchmen with the same results. I was able to view the movie fine with the Windows Media version of the digital copy.
I'm running Windows XP Pro. Anybody have any ideas? Thanks.I use the 32-bit version but noticed the same behavior. I found that if I started iTunes from the Start Menu I could right-click the icon on the Taskbar and selected Pin to Taskbar. Worked perfectly with full Win7 integration.
As you know, the pin function prior to 9.0.2.25, allowed pinning from a shortcut. I've found other anomalies also so I wouldn't be surprised if a newer update will be pushed out soon. -
I have bought a Movie (20th century fox dist) with a digital copy i can download to itunes. everytime i try to redeem the code, itunes say's "session timed out, try again", no matter how fast I try. itunes help/support is no help. anybody had a similar problem and resolved?
I agree. I don't rely on iCloud as a backup, that is what I have my portable hard drive for. Its 500 GB so I can hold my entire iTunes library several times over on it. I have all my movies on my hard drive, but somehow "The Mist" got deleted off of my hard drive, so I figured "Well, the option to redownload an already purchased movie is available through iCloud, I'll just do that!"
And permissions and download availability have nothing to do with it, the movie's still there, it still allows me to redownload it. The only problem is when I click download, I get that message.
And nobody else uses my computer, but I do have multiple accounts authorized on it. Even still though, I am attepmpting to download it through the account I purchased it under. :/ -
Fox digital copy movie won't import into Itunes.
I have Itunes version 11.0.2 and I am trying to import a Fox digital copy of a movie into Itunes, however every time I double click to import I receive the error message that it "requires Itunes version 7.6.2 or newer" and requests that I update Itunes. Is there a way to import using digital copy (I own the disk and have the serial number for transfer) or is the only way to do this to rip the dvd the old fashioned way? I wanted to use digital copy for convenience but, if it won't work I can use the other method.
Ah, found out that I should not use the pop up window from the disc. Instead, opened Itunes, selected the movie disc, entered the code to redeem and then it copied the movie.

I have moved from Ireland to the USA and now (legally) live in Seattle. When I try to login to the iTunes store here in the USA, I get a message telling me that my Apple ID is only valid for purchases from the Ireland iTunes store. What moron put in a restriction like that? Apple is now telling me that although I can legally move from one country to another and take up residence, I can not travel globally with my Apple ID? What use is having an Apple ID then as I can travel and buy globally with Amazon?
Do NOT create another ID. Change the country of your present ID.

Realize, however, just as you can no longer visit your old public library in Ireland you also no longer have access to the store or your purchases made there. You can continue to use them as they are on your computer now but that makes it all the more important you maintain backups in case of loss. If you upgrade an app I think you will have to pay for it again since you no longer have access to the Irish Store. -
So I have a Samsung laptop with a terabyte of space, my itunes is up to date. i went online to redeem the code for my digital copy of the first season of game of thrones but when it downloaded, only 1 episode downloaded. why didn't the rest of my episodes download? how do i get them?
