Digital signature of external (non SAP) documents

How can I digitally sign an external document from SAP?
Thank you in advance.

I think I need to be more precise, sorry.
What I need is, after a smartforms or a sapscript form (some invoice, for example) is printed to pdf, to digitally sign that resulting pdf, but from SAP, not using Adobe to edit it.
I am told it is possible, but I don't have a clue how.
Thank you in advance.

    how do i implement digital signatures in adobe using sap web dynpro netweaver and abap for backend? if you can provide some documents or links that can help for the same.

    Hello,
    You can add digital signatures and/or encryption to the document going out of the SAP system.
    To add a signature from WDA you can use the PDFObject API.

  • Integrate 'External non-SAP Purchasing Application' with SAP SD for third party purchasing/ drop shipping?

    What is the best way to integrate 'External non-SAP Purchasing Application' with SAP SD for third party purchasing/ drop shipping?
    Details about expected process Flow.
    Receive PO from customer into SAP > SAP SD creates Sales Order > ?? SAP Integrate with External non-SAP Purchasing Application to trigger purchasing > External non-SAP Purchasing Application creates PO, Ships Material to Customer Ship to address (drop ship), Sends Shipping confirmation (FCR) & Invoices to SAP> ??Receive FCR and Invoice in SAP > ?? Initiate SAP Accounts Payable (Vendor Payments) and Accounts Receivable (Customer Invoice) > ?? Update SAP SD Sales Order with shipping status>
    Questions we need to answer;
      - How to achieve '??' steps from above process.
      - What type of Master Data we will need to configure (Say Materials Item Category, Type etc.)
      - Any standards options to configure SAP SD (Type of Sales Order)
      - We certainly don’t want to trigger SAP MM Purchasing (i.e. PR, PO etc.). How can we bypass it.
      - How to make statistical receipts against sales order line items so that SO status will be updated.
      - How to receive Invoice and FCR from External non-SAP app to trigger AP and AR transactions.
      - Are there any SAP standard configurations/ BAPIs/ BADIs available to achieve this integration.
    Any inputs on above questions are appreciable.
    Anand.

    This question is resolved. We ended up activating purchasing module and used purchasing documents PR/ PO to integrate with third party purchasing system.

  • SAP to External Non SAP Systems C++ Connections

    Hi guys,
    i should develop a C++ application that should transfer/receive data from an external Non SAP System to a SAP System (MM SD FI Modules) and viceversa,
    This bidirectional integration should be synchronous and asynchronous, depending on the data flow type,
    I was thinking to use IDocs for this communications,
    I should be able to send purchase and sell orders requests from the Non Sap System to the Sap system and receive the result of SAP processes once the SAP transactions will be finished.
    So i'll have a C++ process that send idocs (created with sdk end sent throught RFC to SAP) for SD or MM operations and a SAP Abap module that receive this idocs and start internal operations.
    After this i need an internal SAP abap module that send to my external application Idoc's with the result of internal operations.
    Are the idocs the common way to transfer data(low cadinality) in this scenario, or there is a better way?
    Note: my sap system versions are previous to the netweaver release, so i can't use a Service Oriented comunication...
    Thanks in advance!!!

    Hi,
    try sending the data through BAPI Function Module.
    and use the FM in your C++ program.
    hope this works....

    I can't affix my valid digital signature to adobe reader pdf document. When the signature field is clicked, it is not showing my digital ID so that I can sign with it. Why it is not displaying my valid digital ID?

  • Adobe PDF/Acroforms & Digital signatures/Integrity/Authentication/Non repudiation

    Hi folks,
    I have been investigation the feasibility of using PDF as a customer-facing data collection mechanism, starting with Acroforms for a pilot, initially at least (we may consider XFA/Livecycle in a later phase).
    I've got a demo application up and running using the FDF toolkit, presenting PDF forms to the web user, collecting and processing/storing the collected data etc.
    My question is around how this process can be secured.
    (Q1) (This may be strictly a web dev question, please ignore if considered not relevant here) : If the web application communicates over HTTPS, then the conversation between client & server is secure (encrypted at least, so that others cant sniff the content?) - but it does not necessarily authenticate the end user to the server?
    (Q2) If we wish to ensure that the FDF data Submitted from the PDF form (via submit button to an ASP.NET url) is (a) known to be authentic from a particular known user, and (b) signed in some way to be non-repudiatable ... how can be do this with FDF ? If we re-generate a flat PDF document from the data they entered, is there any digital signature mechanism that can be employed for the public end-user to "sign" the PDF document in a manner that ensure Integrity/Authentication/Non repudiation ?
    any pointers to Adobe or Third party toolkits, products etc. ?
    best regards & thanks,
    Aidan.

    Q1. That's right. But if the form includes fields for a username/password, this could be sent along with the rest of the data and used to authenticate the user. Or you could use other common means, but as you said, this has nothing to do with Acrobat.
    Q2. FDF can contain digital signature data. So the form would have to contain a signature field and the user would have to sign it. Assuming a self-signed signature, it's up to you whether to trust such a signature. The signed PDF is constructed from the original PDF that was served by concatenating the appended saves contained in the FDF. You can then validate the signature.

  • IC Knowledge Search using external non-sap KB repository

    We are currently prototyping the Knowledge Search functionality in CRM 2007. However instead of using the Solution database, we would like to use an external repository like MS-Sharepoint as our knowledge base. We would like to get some feedback from the forum to understand if this approach to integrate an external CM system has any downsides as against using the standard solution database
    Thanks,
    Santosh

    Hello there,
    SAP Solution Manager contains some functionality to work with non SAP products. For example, in transaction SMSY (system landscape) you can define non SAP products and therefore non SAP systems, although the functionatlity that you get thus is somewhat limited (no automatic refresh, no logon from RFC destination, etc).
    The same applies for the project (SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN) part of Solution Manager. It is possible to assign a logical component for a non SAP product to a project, then in the project it is possible to describe the process and document it but it will not be possible to use the more SAP oriented functionality like links to IMG projects, etc.

  • Jdbc connector with a external non-sap database of microsoft for PORTAL

    hi gurus
    I need to reach a database microsoft sql 2000 this DB is in a microsoft Windows 2000 server
    and my PORTAL is in another microsoft windows server 2003 how to make the connector in
    visual administrator from my portal until these server and how i know what kind of driver need
    any idea
    atte
    Salvatore

    Hi Salvatore,
    We also had implemented the same using SAP NWDS. We can connect to An non-SAP external database by using JDBC drivers. I have mentioned sample code.
    First just declare strings which ustore path of the excel u need to acess. Say
    String file = "<path>.xls";
    Declare this string which is an JDBC-OBDC driver.
    String lConnectStr = "jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Excel Driver (*.xls)};DBQ="file";DriverID=22;READONLY=false";
    String url="jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://<HOST NAME of DB>;DatabaseName= ";
    String driver="com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver";
    Now load the class and to get the connection.
    Class.forName("sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver");
    response.write("driver loaded");
    Connection gConnection = null;
    gConnection = DriverManager.getConnection(lConnectStr,"<DOMAIN/UI>","<PWD>");
    Statement stmt=gConnection.createStatement(ResultSet.TYPE_SCROLL_INSENSITIVE,ResultSet.CONCUR_UPDATABLE);
    response.write("...........driver loaded");
    Now we can access the database tables at the SQL server and also extract it..
    we can also use POI-HSSF model to create excel sheets and modify cell wise.
    Hope this is useful for your implementation.

    Shaila Kasha.

  • Digital signature not avalaible on my document

    Hello,
    I'm working on the implementation of digital signature with the ADS but i have a big problem.The sign button functionnality is not available anymore on my document. In the sign menu, the only button available is the "Preview Document".
    The security properties of the document indicates that the Signing is allowed.
    My process consists in an offline scenario.
    I'm working with adobe reader version 8.0.
    Do you have any idea to resolve this problem?
    Thx for your help,
    Pelaez Lopez Philippe

    Hi Philippe,
    You could try placing a signature field from the pallete when designing the form in the Adobe Designer.
    Then when you run the application (for eg. a web dynpro for java) that contains the Adobe form, you could sign the document with a valid signature.
    Hope this helps.

  • Digital Signatures for Client non repudation (Headers)

    Hi: I'm developing a Web Service in WLS7.0 SP2. The backend component is ready.
    I now have to sign the client request (hopefully using xml security), i.e. add
    the signature as a soap header in the client using a handler, then on the server
    side use a handler to intercept the soap request, verify the signature and forward
    it to the backend component.
    Basically, all I need is how to add a header element using handlers on the client
    side and then reading that signature on the server side.
    Can someone give me some hints?
    Thanks in advance,

    Thanks for your help Bruce, but unfortunatelly my customers are using platform
    7.0 in their production servers, and they are not interested in upgrading.
    I'm one step away from the solution though... I'm using apache's XML Security
    package. Once I get over the whole thing I'll post the solution here.

  • Payroll parallel reconciliation with external non-SAP System

    Hi folks,
         Did any one of you work on "payroll parallel reconciliation” project . We have data coming through SAP "payroll" results as well as from an external system. We have some wage types, schemas and some results tables in SAP payroll out put, they also have something like wage types and payroll results in external system. What I’m thinking that we can download the payroll result and write some macros in excel sheet or do Vlookup. Other approach is to upload external system data in to Sap and validate , or check what every condition are there .
    What else can we do? Please give your inputs/suggestions.
    Thanks

    Hi saquib,
    1. I suppose, apart from compareison of
       sap figures <-------> external software figures,
       , there is no other motive / purpose.
    2. There are 2 important things :
       a) No need to validate thru macro
          or paralllel online comparison.
         (don't go for such approach, as it may
          hinder sap normal business process)
       b) after payroll is processed in both systems,
          only after that,
          comparison should be done.
    3. Now the question comes, where should the
       validation be done ?
       a) sap
       b) external software
       c) excel
       d) others.
    4. Doing in excel and checking each figure
       can be done, provided we know how to do
       and we are expert at it.
    5. Other thing is,
       a) make y table for uploading data of external system
        (simple y table with wage type, amount, period.
      b) make a small z program to upload
        the data,
        do the comparison, one by one.
      c) if required, the program can list
        out the variances.
    6. I personally feel, this shold be the
        best approach.
       (This comparison program can be developed
        in external software also.
       However, to download sap  data
       we once again have to create a small z program.,
      so why not, make one z program, once and for all )
    regards,
    amit m.

  • External (Non-SAP) Certifications in Retail

  • Digital Signature in SAP DMS

    Hello,
    We want to implement digital signatures in SAP DMS, but we're not sure on how to accomplish it. We have the following scenario:
    1. All the users have a digital certificate which is part of the Portuguese ID card;
    2. Currently we're all using this certificate to digitally sign e-mails (they use their laptops integrated card reader), for example;
    3. We also want to use this certificate to sign DMS documents.
    Do you think the above mentioned scenario is possible without licensing additional software? If so, can you guide me through the customization steps?
    Thanks in advance.
    Kind regards,
    Ricardo

    Hi Ricardo,
    It is quite possible to achieve your requirements using the digital signature strategy available in SAP DMS. I have previoulsy answered the steps involved [here|Digital Signature on Original File; and you may additionally look up [Wiki|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/PLM/Digitalsignaturein+DMS] and [SAP Help|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/9f/857f3a1c7b11d294d200a0c92f024a/frameset.htm] as well.
    In your case,more specifically,you need to adopt the signature method during customization as 'User signature with external security product with/without verification' for which your I-Card reader would also be required.
