Dimension load thru Interface tables

Hi,
I have a generic type dimension with its members in interface tables (member, property, propertyarray and hierarchy). All the three dimensions im_load_info, im_dimension and im_dimension_association have relevant data and i_Load_ID in im_Load_info table has a value say 1. This 1 has been mentioned in the rest 2 tables also.
Now, while I am creating a profile for interface table, it is asking for interface load id but in the right side "find" icon, I cannot see any load_id and in fact, I am getting an error message that no load_id is present in the interface tables.
Please suggest if anything else needs to be done to view the load id during creation of the profile.
I am using 11.1.1.3.
Thanks.

Hey Guys,
Is there any update on this?
Thanks.

  • Interface tables bug?? Hyp 11.1.1.2 with EPMA patched

    HI,
    I am facing one issue. When loading metadata from interface tables to dimension library, not all my member properties make their way into dimension library.
    This happens when i am performing load of all dimensions in one profile:
    E.g. Account dimension. In interface tables i set up 'account type' as Expense and 'Variance reporting' as Expense. After I import dimensions i still see for a member these properties as 'Revenue' and 'NonExpense'. So it does not take into account my changes.
    But when I load dimension account alone, these changes are being transformed to dimension library. Problem arises when i have e.g. 1 associated table with account dimension (mostly Alias dimension). Without selecting this dimension the log gives me an error (alias must be also selected) but changes will go through. When i add alias or more dimensions I will get no error which is right but changes will not go through.
    Can you please help with this issue?

    Is this an essbase only application? It seems like the property is defaulting to stored and then flipping the initial stored member to shared because Essbase isn't interpreting the deployment correctly. I would try using ShareData as the datastorage property (I think that is the correct spelling). Also, I believe the correct way to set IsPrimary is Y/N and not 0/1.
    If that did not work I would try the following in this order:
    1 - I would first extract the dimension in question using the file generator and confirm that the properties are indeed correct.
    2 - If they were correct. I would toggle the dimension from shared->local->shared. EPMA is still a little nutty and this will fix a fair amount of issues as it will 'refresh' the application's version of the dimension. I would then deploy
    3 - deploy from EPMA->Planning only (no essbase creation), then deploy to essbase separately after ensuring the property represents itself in planning. If it is essbase only - create the outlnie instead of refresh.
    4 - create a duplicate app in EPMA and deploy the copy of the app - and see if it has the same problem
    Try that and see how it goes.

  • Booking Order with Interface Tables

    Hello, I am trying to book an order using the interface tables. RIght now, I load the header into the OE_HEADERS_IFACE_ALL table, then load the operation "BOOK_ORDER" into the OE_ACTIONS_IFACE_ALL table. I see that the action is tied to the header, b/c it shows under the actions button for that header. Nothing is happening, though. I have looked at the Oracle documentation, and notes, that have told me to use this method instead of the "booked_flag" on the header (I tried that, too :P ). Please tell me if there are some configuration issues, or if there is anything that I may be doing wrong when importing it.
    Thanks in advance,
    Joe

    What is your method of loading the Interface Tables ??? Can you please elaborate? I have made use of ODI to build dimension into Planning and using ODI we can control the sequence in whatever way we want.

    Hi Sreenivas and Raju,
    there are two related documentations available in oracle, first states it could be a Report Cache issue which needs to be cleared, another one was a bug where patch application was suggested .....
    Can you check the references link and confirm that is not the cause ... if not try entering minimal (mandatory) information alone on the interface table and attempt importing ....?

  • Loading dimensions using interface table

    Hello,
    I am trying to load dimensions into EPMA 11.1.1.3 using interface tables and need some direction. I have an accounts dimension file with the following columns ( Parent, Child, Alias, Description, DataType,Aggregation). I configured a data source using configuration wizard (Interface tables).
    I see in the database that some sample tables are created. Now, should I create a separate table with the columns listed above?
    Can someone let me know what are the next steps to successfully import accounts dimension?
    Thanks

    Can someone plz respond?
    This is important for me. I have gone thru' the documentation and also the sample tables but don't understand why are there multiple tables for a particular dimension viz. hierarchy, property etc?
    Please tell me the right way.
    Thanks again!!

  • Loading metadata into EPMA applications using Interface tables-Automation

    Hi,
    I am loading the metadata into epma applications using interface tables as ODI dont perit to load metadata into epma applications. Is there any way of using ODI and interface tables together to load the metadata
    This process also need to be automated.

    Hi,
    It is certainly possible and has be done, though there is not anything available that will do it for you, you will have to put in some effort learning the structure of the interface tables, then build interfaces and then a package in ODI to streamline the process.
    Cheers

  • EPMA very slow to import large dimension from interface tables

    I am attempting to import a dimension into the master library from the EPMA interface tables. The dimension is roughly 255,000 members. The import from the interface tables into an empty dimension member is taking close to 3 hours. CPU utilization on the EPMA server is a steady 6% (epma_server.exe) for the entire time. We are on 11.1.2.1.001 of EPMA. The rest of the suite is at 11.1.2.1. The dimension generic type. I have had the same result when importing into a local dimension. The performance degrades after about 6000 members.
    Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

    I have found my answer from EPMA guide:
    In addition to the dimension interface tables created by the template script, you can add interface tables for additional dimensions. For example, the template script contains one set of tables for the Entity dimension. You can add more Entity dimensions as needed. For each dimension added to the interface tables, you must also include the dimension in the IM_Dimension system table so that the dimension is available during profile creation.

  • R12 Interface table for loading data from 3rd part payroll system

    Hi All,
    Can anyone help me to have a lists and detailed technical information of available interface table on Oracle R12 for importing/loading data from third party payroll system. And what should be the best way of importing the data? It should be load first to AP then to GL or load it directly to GL?
    Any help much appreciated. Thanks.
    Cyrus

    Hi Cyrus,
    Can you please let us know your business requirements of this integration, i.e what business want to acheive out of this integration.
    It depends on what your business requirements are wether to send only accounting information from payroll system to your Oracle GL ( then you can integrate Payroll system to Oracle GL directly, by sending the accounting information from your payroll) or if your requirement is to create payroll related invoices in AP and then do payments in oracle AP and then pass accounting information to GL ( then integrate your payroll to AP)

  • Mapping Type missing for Import Dimension via Interface Tables

    Greetings Everyone,
    I was wondering if anyone else had this issue. I have two Generic dimensions that I have created within the Shared Library. The issue that I'm having is that whenever I create a new profile for these two dimensions, there is never an option to Merge or Replace the dimension. I always have to "create new dimension" even though these dimensions exist within my shared library. This causes a problem because, I have to always perform a replace and it looks like be default, when creating a new dimension, it merges whatever values I have within the interface tables into the existing dimension.
    Thanks,
    Tammy Bian

    Hi Vinodh,
    Pls check if you have mapped the Alias table from Interface Area to Alias dimension in your import profile definition.  And then also check if association between Alias & entity is defined.
    Thanks,
    Darshana

    What version of 11 are you using? There's a bug w/ 11.1.1.2 and attribute dimensions. I don't think it matters if you're using interface tables or ads files. The bug is as follows:
    "Bug 8580222 - SUBSEQUENT DEPLOYMENT MAY DELETE AN ATTRIBUTEDIMENSION FROM PLANNING. This issue has been addressed in 11.1.1.2.02 service fix".
    We applied the following patches this past weekend and they addressed the issue:
    Planning 11.1.1.2.01 (required for the Planning .02 patch)
    Planning 11.1.1.2.02 (this fixes the issue with attribute dimensions)
    EPMA 11.1.1.2.01 (required for the Planning patch)
    APS 11.1.1.2.01 (required for the Planning patch)
    Hope this helps,

  • How to load the data from a staging table to interface table

    Hi..
    I have a staging table having these many columns
    invoice_number,invoice_date,vendor_name,vendor_site_code,description,line-amount,line-description,segment1,segment2,segment3,segment4,segment5
    I want to insert data into oracle interface tables
    1st table is ap_invoices_interface which is primary
    and 2nd is ap_invoice_lines_interfaces.
    According to the invoice_id I have to insert the sum of amount in the amount column of primary table
    can anyone plz give the codes .
    any help appreciate

    Hi,
    you need to write pl/sql procedure or package for validiating the data and inserting.
    first u need to know wat r the mandatory colums. and write the code igiving here a simple example
    Create or replace procedure xxstg_po_vendors_int(errbuf out varchar2,retcode out number) IS
    Cursor po_cur IS Select sno,VENDOR_NAME,SUMMARY_FLAG,ENABLED_FLAG From xxstg_po_vendor;
    l_SUMMARY_FLAG Varchar(1);
    l_ENABLED_FLAG varchar(1);
    l_VENDOR_NAME varchar2(240);
    l_err_msg varchar2(240);
    l_flag varchar2(2);
    l_err_flag varchar2(2);
    Begin
    Delete from Ap_suppliers_INT;
    commit;
    for rec_cur in po_cur loop
    l_flag :='A';
    l_err_flag:= 'A';
    Begin
    select summary_flag into l_SUMMARY_FLAG from po_vendors
    where summary_flag = rec_cur.summary_flag;
    Exception
    when others then
    l_summary_flag:= null;
    l_flag:='E';
    l_err_msg:= 'Summary_flag Does not Exist';
    END;
    FND_FILe.PUT_LINE(FND_FILE.LOG,'Inserting data into interface table'||l_flag);
    Begin
    Select enabled_flag into l_enabled_flag from po_vendors
    where enabled_flag = rec_cur.enabled_flag;
    exception
    when others then
    l_enabled_flag:=null;
    l_flag :='E';
    L_err_msg:='Enabled_flag Does not Exist';
    End;
    FND_FILE.PUT_LINE(FND_FILE.log,'Inserting data into interface table'||l_flag);
    FND_FILE.PUT_LINE(FND_FILE.log,'Inserting data into interface table'||l_flag);
    INSERT INTO AP_SUPPLIERS_INT
    ( VENDOR_INTERFACE_ID,VENDOR_NAME,SUMMARY_FLAG,ENABLED_FLAG )
    values(rec_cur.sno,rec_cur.VENDOR_NAME,rec_cur.SUMMARY_FLAG,rec_cur.ENABLED_FLAG);
    l_flag :=null;
    l_err_msg:=null;

  • Add shared members to interfaces tables

    Hi guys
    I need to load shared members to a generic dimension using interface tables?
    How can I do it?
    Regards

    Hi John
    Thanks for your help. I can add shared member to the generic dimension called PCM_Prod, however I am getting the following issue
    at validate one application that I used:
    Error : Last generation 2 member of dimension PCM_Prod is Total Productos.  Expected member name "NoMember".
    Error : Dimension 'PCM_Prod' does not support shared members because the dimension hierarchy type is set to 'Stored'.  Member:  '3032182'.
    Error : Shared member '3032182' cannot exist under generation 2 ancestor member 'Total Productos' in dimension 'PCM_Prod' because it does not belong to a StoreData hierarchy.  Either set the dimension-level Hierarchy Type property to 'StoreData', or else set the Hierarchy Type property of generation 2 ancestor  of this member to 'StoreData'
    If I upload using ADS  I did not get the issue.
    So I do not why using interface tables I got the error.
    Regards
