Director 12, multiple computers not allowed

So, I have a desktop and a laptop for travel for work-on-the-road. Apparently, Director 12 will not allow me to install a copy on both computers sharing the same install ID number. (It asks me to de-activate the desktop when I install on to the laptop).
Is this correct? I used to be able to install on both machines.

I need to do the same, is this not allowed in D12?

This issue is coming after version Upgrade from 4.6C to ECC6. I even Implemented the SAP note: 1988378. I am also getting the error for the Classtype 023. So I tried Implementing this note.
But the issue remains the same.

Also Checked in SPRO-> Cross Application-> Classification System-> Classes-> Maintain Object Types & Class Types.
When we select MCHA from the Tables on the right side and then Click on Class Types folder on the Left hand side, we can view the Class Type : 023 assigned to Batch on our right side. There we hav some checkboxes below it. One of the check-box states "Multiple Classification", that checkbox is not selected.
When we check the same in the Older Version 4.6, there also the check-box states "Multiple Classification", that check-box is not selected.

Using my ipod with multiple computers: not the usual problem I think

I've searched the forum and various help documents but I couldn't find the answer to this.
I have a laptop at the office (work-related, so I don't have any of my music on it, just itunes) and my computer at home. Ideally I'd like to:
= keep my ipod automatically synced to my home computer
= be able to connect my ipod to my work laptop and play the music stored on it through itunes there, and also keep it charged and ready for the trip home.
It seems that the 'manually manage music and videos' setting travels with the ipod, rather than being stored on the computer's itunes installation. If I set it at work, so I can play music there, when I connect the ipod at home I have to reset it (and a few times when I did so the ipod started deleting everything because 'sync my music' was not checked, grrr).
I just want to set things up in a way so that when I connect my ipod at work it will let me play whatever songs I have there (without wanting to sync anything), and when I connect it at home it will automatically update it. It's simple enough, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
If I connect the ipod at work and press 'cancel' when the 'do you want to erase things' pops up, it doesn't try to change the settings, but at the same time it doesn't let me play music at all, everything is greyed out
does anybody have any idea? I don't want to resort to have to buy a usb power adapter just so that I can play my ipod at work without draining the battery...

actually, syncing an iPod Touch (or iPhone) with multiple computers is not recommended @ all. click here to find out what Apple has to say about it.
all i can think of, i you really must do that, is this:
to prevent a sync when plugging in the iPod - hold down the option and the command ( on a PC that would be the shift and ctrl ) keys when plugging in the ipod - keep pressing the keys until the iPod is listed under the devices list in iTunes. now you should be able to do what you want.
however, you do so @ your own peril, as the article above outlined.
alternatively, consider a setup such as this.

Multiple ConnectionFactories not allowed??

So, I have two (2) application clients. Each App Client has a connection factory and then opens a number of Topics. Both App Clients are deployed on Glassfish server.
When I run the first App Client, all is fine. When I go to run the second App Client, I get a NullPointerException when I try to get a connection to the connection factory.
Are multiple connection factories NOT allowed in the same Glassfish server??

Hi Team, is there a way to send a message to multiple windows xp/win7 computers from my win7/xp? 3rd party software,commercial or free, command line,batch or script all welcome. I have a few hundreds of computers, ping-them alive,but I don't know their
location and user name. I was failed to push SCCM client to them,some could be in work group or admin$ disabled. so I plan to send a message like " please contact IT department for your pc maintenance by this Friday or this PC will be deleted from
the corp domain", when the user contact IT, we can RDP or manual install SCCM onsite with user cooperation. The msg.exe can only send to user,instead of computer names. I tried shutdown /m \\pc-name -f -s -t 1200000 "testMessage" but I got alert
of access denied. though it works if put my local PC name. is there any other way to accomplish this? Many thanks!

Base on my experience, personally I think solve this case the better method is through your help desk collect the new computer information because consider this: “some
could be in work group or admin$ disabled”, if there have more workgroup PC, it will always hardly to manage them though a purely technical method.

Multiple classification not allowed

I would like to maintain same site to multiple site (store) hierarchy. However, error message appeared when I would like to assign site to class via tcode WB86. From the diagnosis, it says that we can define class types and their features in the IMG for Classification. There was an error 'Transaction CL2B (RCCLTYP0) is obsolete' when I click on tcode CL2B to maintain the class type. Can experts share with me where is the correct configuration path to allow for multiple classification.

Multiple Computers, not updating copied cds

I have been updating my Ipod from two computers. I am now back to my "main" one. I have been adding new cds to my Itunes (not downloaded, but copied from CD) and they are not showing up on my Ipod. I already have my Ipod set on the "manually manage" setting. I don't know what to do about this. I mess with taking it off manual and it says it's going to replace everything with what's on this computer. I have stuff copied from the other computer! Am I going to lose stuff? Luckily, everything on the other computer was "purchased" music so I synced my purchased music with this computer, but I am trying to figure out the best course of action in case I have forgotten about something that was copied from the other computer.

With manual transfer you have to drag an drop songs onto the iPod, but you're not saying what happens when you do this. Does iTunes show a transfer of songs is taking place and then no songs show on the iPod?
If so, this Apple knowledge-base article may help address that issue.

If you were to change to automatic transfer, the contents of the iPod would be erased, and replaced by the contents of the iTunes library it is connected to.

Thanks, unforunately it's still the same. What i have done is move the file to the c drive rather than using a location which has spaces on it.
I no longer have the same issue as before, but Now i get a different message that would imply my directory isn't correct. I've double checked and everthing seems in order and files are where i've selected.

I have multiple computers and iPhones and now iTunes will not allow my wife to load applications or use her own iTunes playlists. How can I setup each device for each user correctly?

We have multiple computers and iPhone devices which I have passed on to other family members, such as my wife. Now she is not able to load apps to her devices, eventhough it appear she is logged into her own iTunes account. How can I setup iTunes correctly on each device? Currently, there is one PC and one Mac laptop and we each have iPhones, with one other family member not able to use his 'passed-down' device for iTunes, also.

Imap wasn't designed for this kind of multi user situation. It assumes that you the account owner will be using it to manage one account via multiple devices. So once you have read a message it has been read, regardless of which device you were using at the time.
You appear to be describing a situation where you want more than one user to read each message, without anyone knowing if anyone else has read it or even dealt with it. Frankly, I can't imagine a set of circumstances where this workflow would make sense or be useful.
You can do various things such as manually setting messages as unread, or moving them from one folder to another to indicate that they have been processed, but much of this relies on users being thorough and conscientious.
You may need to be running your own server to do this sort of email message managing, if you really need to fork a message so it gets to multiple recipients. Managing which users see a particular message is a job for a server, not the end-user's email client.

I'm assuming that on the Mac, the System Preferences -> Sharing -> Printer Sharing -> [X] HP printer -> Everyone can print is selected? That is to say, the Mac will allow anyone to print using the printer, and that you did not try to restrict who can print.
How is your network configured? Bonjour as a protocol will NOT cross a router boundary. If you have 2 or more subnets active with the PCs on one subnet and the Mac on another, that would block the PCs from seeing the Mac.
You could have multiple subnets if you have more than one router, such as an ISP provided broadband modem/router and another WiFi Router. If the PCs are talking to one router and the Mac is talking to another, that could be a 2 subnet situation. The additional routers must be put into bridge mode, which is done differently depending on the router. But the basics are to diable DHCP and NAT services on the secondary router(s) having just one active router on the network.
Also, using Bonjour Browser on my Mac, it is showing me that the printer is being advertised as using Internet Printing Protocol, so if that is something selectable on Windows, maybe you can bypass Bonjour on Windows.

HT1535 my iphone is set to "manually manage music and videos" and it still does not allow me to add music from my other computers.

I have followed the steps in order to manually manage the music on my 3GS iphone. (used the latest version of itunes and my iphone is up to date with iOS5) and it still is not allowing me to add music from another computer.
when i plug it into the second computer, it is asking me to click "manually manage music and videos" again. when i do that, it says it is going to sync with this new library and erase all music that is already there. i dont want this to happen! i only want to add a few select songs from each library. I have waaayy to much to add and erase every time.
both of the computers i am using are PCs and have my itunes id for homesharing... please help me!

First - thanks for your help.
Closing this out - here is what I learned:
1) Needed to ensure my server was Kerberised and that Kerebos was running correctly
2) Local users have precedence over network so I need to ensure I don't use the same short name. While using the "id" command you may be able to see the network user ID, the local of the same name appears to take precedence.
3) Using the "kinit" command useful for confirming Kerebos is working correctly
4) Home directories created - had already done this but what finally got this working was stopping and restarting AFP Service.
So was able to successfully login to Mac Client using OD username and password - it mounted the network home share just fine on the client, loaded preferences etc.
Now on to create network users with Mobile Accounts for my laptop users - wish me luck
