Directory created in UCCX server \Program Files\wfavvid\Prompts\user\en_US\ disappears

Hello,
Has anyone experienced this before?  In my UCCX server, I have some sub-directories in the folder \Program Files\wfavvid\Prompts\user\en_US\ with prompts.  I just restarted the Cisco Unified CCX Engine  service, and the directory and prompt files disappeared!  I did it again just to make sure (created directory in that path and restarted the service again, and that directory is gone after the service comes back.)
I'm running UCCX Premium 7.0(1)SR05_Build504
Thanks,
-Dave

That's not a bug, it's a feature.
You cannot just go to the Prompts folder on the CCX filesystem and place your prompts there in whatever directory structure you'd like to. CCX will always restore the directory structure which is stored in its database after engine restarts.
You need to use the CCX administrative interface to create prompts dir structure, and upload the prompts there.
If you don't want to go over this hassle, you can also create a directory structure on the file system OFF the CCX Prompts folder, but you'll have to make sure in the scripts you'll have to reference your prompts a little bit differently. Instead of saying P[somedir\someprompt.wav] in the Play Prompt step, you'll have to first do a Create File Document with the full pathname and filename of the prompt file, and then do the Play Prompt step referencing the document created by the previous step. Here is what I use:

Paula and I created the missing server.xml files ourselves. The script is at the bottom of the post.

    Any help appriciated.
    Thanks

CR 9 has been out of support for way too long. I don't remember the directory structure for CR 9. What is hte issue you are actually getting?
Was the framework installed after or before CR 9?

  • AIR 2.0 Create folder in C:\Program Files\ in windows 7

    Hi,
We have a problem in creating a folder and a file inside C:\Program Files\ in this path in windows 7 and Windows vista. Is it possible to create a folder here. How to give elevated permission to my air application(administator previlage to the application). Is it possible in adobe air2.0 Adobe team please have a look into this issue.
    Thanks.
    Jayagopal P.S

I'm not an Adobe person, but based on my knowledge of Vista/7 permissions, the only way to give your app the elevated permissions is to right-click and run the app (each time) "as administrator".  Windows purposefully doesn't allow apps to permanently be flagged as having administrator permissions.  If you are cooking an exe yourself, there is a way to tell Windows that your app requires admin permissions on each run, but your user will still have to click past the prompt each time.  But since AIR is creating the .exe, I doubt there is a way to set that flag so that your app prompts for admin permissions.  Silly question I know, but are you absolutely sure you need to be storing files or folders here?  Windows takes great pains to prevent apps from doing that now...

This article contains the only thing that worked for me.  I also had to sign out of iCloud and uninstall it.  Then I had to delete all files and folders from all of those applications that were under Program Files, Program Files x86, Program Data and Users.  My iPhone 4 will now sync with iTunes both in its USB-connected  mini dock and over Wi-Fi.  It's unfortunate (negligent programming on the part of Apple?) that the upgrade to iTunes 11 did not remove all of those files as part of the upgrade process.

I am having the same issue....Same address for years - same as USPS - I tried 5 times (3 macs and 2 iPhones) and now i have 5 CHARGES for 1.00 each on my credit card. I took the credit card info off so they don't charge me anymore. How can they charge me yet still not allow me to download free updates and say I have an invalid address? I'm sure I will spend weeks or months trying to get a credit out of these incompetent idiots.

  • Creating Drop Down or Option selection for prompt user input.

    Hello,
I wanted to know how can I create a drop down menu that has predefined values? I have the prompt user input vi. When it says enter voltage..i want the user should be able to select from a drop down menu values..also is it possible to have a predefined set of values from which a user can select...say 5 values are displayed and user selects one of them each time the vi is run...can this be realized..kindly help.
    Thanks.
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
you can use a text ring  or a menu ring control located on the Ring and Enum on the control pallete.
for a pre defined value you can edit that control to have what ever values you want from the user to input.
You can change the menu option by right clicking on the ring control and choosing Edit items from the list and use the values you want.

    Hey
they there is some substructure which has .endSeparator as 'nl'
moreover we dont need to give .endSeparator for main structure at all.
    <main>
    <substructure>
    <name>----</name>
    </substructure>
    </main>
here even if u give substructure.endSeparator as 'nl'.then also a new line will be generated in the end.
you can give substructure.endSeparator as comma(,).and new line won't be generated

  • UCCX 7 wav files and languages

I'm in the midst of trying to configure IPIVR 7.0 for IPCC, and to get the basic config working I wanted to write a simple play prompt script on the IVR, should be asy I thought. However, all I get is the automated 'system problems' WAV file played and not my prompt. I end up with the following error in the MIVR log file:
    118348: Mar 31 19:46:35.724 BST %MIVR-LIB_MEDIA-3-PROMPT_ERROR_IGNORED:Prompt error ignored: Exception=com.cisco.prompt.UndefinedPromptException: user prompt 'C:\Progra~1\wfavvid\Prompts\user\en\C:\Program Files\wfavvid\Prompts\user\en_GB\HPwelcome.wav'
    118349: Mar 31 19:46:35.724 BST %MIVR-LIB_MEDIA-3-EXCEPTION:com.cisco.prompt.UndefinedPromptException: user prompt 'C:\Progra~1\wfavvid\Prompts\user\en\C:\Program Files\wfavvid\Prompts\user\en_GB\HPwelcome.wav'
The WAV file is pulled from my 3.5 system and plays fine there.
I think this is somehow wrapped up with the way I have the languages set up and the directory structure but I'm failing it to work it out. Can anybody point me in the right direction please as this is now getting very frustrating!
I also have the ICM subsystem in PARTIAL_SERVICE but I assume this is not related, it was running fully at one point. What's the best log file and log parameters to enable to see what's going on here?
    Thanks
    jed

Thanks Aaron, that's useful to know then. Is it something I can fix too ... an error in my script?
The other errors I have seen on occasions, possibly regulalry, are:
140827: Mar 31 18:35:21.994 BST %MIVR-LIB_MEDIA-3-PROMPT_ERROR_IGNOREDrompt error ignored: Exception=com.cisco.prompt.UndefinedPromptException: Local media channel might be released, the codec is 0; nested exception is:
    com.cisco.audio.WrongAudioFormatException: Unsupported payload type: 0
    WrongAudioFormatException
This doesn't looks too promising .. is this more likely my error? I'm not sure how consistent this error is yet as I have played witha lot of settings today so the picture isn't crystal clear just yet. This is for a WAV file that was either fine in 3.5 or I copied from the system repository and renamed as a test.

  • How to Compile & Deploy the Java Concurrent Program File

    Hi,
There is a requirement to create the Java Concurrent Program in Oracle eBusiness. I am able to create the Java Concurrent Program file. But unable to do the following things:
1.Since it is custom file, which location I will deploy the file?
    2. How to compile the file?
    3. In the execution file path and executable file name what should I specify for JCP?
    Please guide me.
    Thanks

Please see (How to register and execute Java Concurrent Program ?in Oracle Applications R11i ? [ID 186301.1]) for the complete steps (i.e. define concurrent program and add it to the request group, .etc.) -- This is also applicable to R12.

  • Multi-threaded server programming

Hello, I meet a problem and don't know how to solve it: I have created a multi-threaded server program which receives multiple users from their own PCs. The server program receives users'commands and echo it back to all users who are currently connecting to my server. I store every clientSocket connecting to my server into a vector. My question is: how the server broadcasts a user command to other users? And how the server knows to which user he will echo the command to since the hostName and port number are the same to every user currently connecting to my server? Thanks a lot.

You should look at extending the Socket class to encorporate user details. Either use what peter suggested or make the user pass a username (or something) when they connect.
When you want to broadcast to all users just enumerate through your vector and send each one the command. If you mean the user performs a task on their application and you want to produce the same results in all the other users apps then its down to you to code it. When user1 clicks on a button the app must send a command (eg. a string) to the server which sends the same string to all other users. When the user receives this string it performs some task.
    Is that what you mean?
    Ted.

  • Client Server program using Applets for client

Creating a client server program using Applets for the clients.
Having problems distrubting the message from client to client
    using ObjectOutputStreams/ObjectInputSteams.
I can connect each client to simple server and respond with by writting
the i/o stream of each client but unable to communicate from client to client. If any one out there has in tips of creating a class of objectOutputStreams that holds a array of ObjectOutputStreams and then broadcasts the message to every client, it would be much appreciated
    Thanks.

    Cheers poop for your reply
I never explained the problem properly. What it is I am trying to set up a Client Server program using Applets as the clients GUI. The problem is broadcasting the message to multiply client connnection(s).
Below is code, each client can connect and send message to the server. The problems is broadcasting the message to every client connection. The every client can input a message but only the last connected client can receive the message?????? Thanks in advance..

  • How to share under "program files"

I haven't been able to successfully share anything under my "program files" folder with other computers on my home network. I can share other folders that I create, but nothing under "program files". All I get is the option for "advanced sharing", which doesn't help because it requires me to select users and such. I need to be able to let anyone on my home network see the folders/files without having to login as a specific user.

Right-click Program Files > Properties > Sharing Tab > Advanced Sharing > Share this folder > Apply, OK > Close.
To unconditionally share, you have to change the security permissions to allow Everyone access. Right-click Program Files > Properties > Security Tab > Edit > Add and type ‘Everyone’ (not the quotes) into the box and OK. Tick the boxes next to
the permissions you want to allow (e.g. Read or Write, etc.) then Apply > OK, etc. You may see some screens coming up with message 'An error occurred while applying ……..'. This is not unusual and can be ignored by clicking Continue.
    Well, Mr. BurrWalnut..
You need to re-address this problem, that may have worked for Win7 when it first came out, but all I can see is the above hasn't worked since XP....!!!

  • The distribution agent failed to create temporary files in 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\COM' directory. System returned errorcode 5.

One of my replication job failed with below error, which means job failed because of permission issue on the folder. To resolve that, I have granted the permission and it started working fine. Now the question is as my job was running fine since long time
without any issue then how suddenly the permission of the folder got omitted automatically? I am sure that no one deleted the permission from the folder and as the server is part of SQL cluster no failover occurs.
Error:-The distribution agent failed to create temporary files in 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\COM' directory. System returned errorcode 5.
    Rahul

    Hi Rahul,
Error code 5 indicates that the error is "access is denied."  Please make sure that the COM folder is excluded from any antivirus scan that occurs on the system.
If the issue still persists, I recommend you use
Process Monitor to find out a bit more about the accounts and access requests involved. Then grant write permission to the exact COM folder for the account that is running the SQL Server Agent service. For more details, please review the following similar
    thread.

  • I'm having problems with a message that says: An error occurred while Attempting to create the directory: C:/program files/itunes/cd configuarion

I know this is a long story, but I'll be damned if I'm not going to get the most specific help I can (as Apple seems to specialize in assuming user error for all its demonic software). I've never had issues with iTunes before (barring a "Connect to iTunes" snafu with my iPod Touch) -- and never, in fact, with Windows Vista, if you believe that -- but this is the most bizarre thing I've seen.
I recently downloaded the new iTunes v 9.0.3 as I am occasionally prompted to do whenever a new version comes out, and immediately I had problems. Access to the iTunes and Quicktime folders was mysteriously denied after the update, and after several hours of frustration, I was able to grant my own Administrative access to these two folders and installation went through. Thank God.
Then I bought some music. No problems -- downloaded just fine, along with a copy of Cinderella Man and the new episode of Smallville. Life was good for a few days.
Then I connected my iPod Touch to the computer. All of a sudden, Microsoft Windows informs me that the "Apple Mobile Device Service stopped working and was closed," with subtext, "A problem caused the application to stop working correctly. Windows will notify you if a solution is available."
Bullsh*t Windows can help me with anything from Apple.
So I've tried to get iTunes to work with me on this. I've come up against the infamous "iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (OxE8000001)" message. My God, when does it ever end?
So I go into Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Apple Mobile Device and start it back up... only to watch it stop again inexplicably moments later. Hmm... Restart. Stays on. Unplug the iPod and plug it back in. Apple Mobile Device Service stops again. Maybe it's the iPod Service itself. Hey, that one's not started! [Start] "Windows could not start the iPod Service service on Local Computer -- Error 5: Access is denied."
What the f*ck is it with this "Access denied" crap? I've never been denied access to even the most intimate functions, files and folders on my freaking computer before! What has Apple created!?
I thought, perhaps Apple Mobile Device software was somehow removed. Okay, let's redownload iTunes (aka Repair the program from the Programs and Features menu in the Control Panel -- same thing). Huh. "An error occurred while attempting to create directory C:\Program Files\iTunes\CD Configuration," and I can choose to Retry or Cancel. So, instinctively, I deleted the CD Configuration folder, assuming iTunes Setup would just recreate it.
Well, that didn't work now, did it? I deleted it and hit Retry, and it said, "The installer has insufficient priveleges to access the directory: C:\Program Files\iTunes\CD Configuration. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator." Running the .exe file as an adminstrator changes NOTHING about this predicament.
So that's where it stands. No CD Configuration folder; full access to all files and folders involved; Apple Mobile Device Service still keeps going off for no reason; iPod Service still doesn't run; Repairing/Reinstalling iTunes, Quicktime, Bonjour, etc. does nothing; and God (aka Steve Jobs, apparently) hates me.
    . . . . . . . . . . . . Help me.

    Hi there,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the article below.
