Disable BAPI Error Popup Message

Does anyone know how to disable to the popup message that occurs in VC when a BAPI return an error message (message of type E)?  We want to display a default error message to our users, instead of the cryptic ABAP error messages.
Maximum point awarded to the first correct answer.

Method 1:
1. Drag datastore to your storyboard
2. Right Click datastore and select Configure Element
3. Click + button to Add new field
4. Enter Fieldname=SHOWPOPUP, Type=Boolean, Default=false
5. Click on dataservice that is feeding your message input and drag into the datastore
6. Right Click on this new data mapping line and select Confgure Element
7. Click on fx for the SHOWPOPUP field and set the value to TRUE.
8. Right Click your popup Form and select Configure Element
9. Click + button to Add new field
10. Select PUSHBUTTON control and enter field name OK
11. Double Click the OK fiend to open configuration popup
12. Select ACTION tab and change radio button to CUSTOM ACTION and enter name HIDEPOPUP
13. Click on fx on the VISIBILITY CONDITION of the form and select enter formula
14. enter STORE@SHOWPOPUP as the formula
15. Click on the OUT port of the popup form and drag line into the datastore
16. Right Click on this new data mapping line and select Configure Element
17. Click on fx for the SHOWPOPUP field and set the value to FALSE
18. Select the dropdown list for the EVENT NAME at the top of the Data Mapping and select HIDEPOPUP as the event.
19. Select LAYOUT tab and readjust the position of the form over the top of your output table.
NOTE: you may need to click the BRING TO FRONT icon in lower left with your popup form selected to insure that it is not hidden behind other objects.
Method 2 :
There is another option in System action (PROMPT) where u can pass the message that will prompt sucesss or failure message but you have to trigger it by using pushbutton.
Both the method worked for me sure it will work for u also .

  • How to disable Install/Upgrade popup message?

    Hello,
I just logged into my computer this morning and a popup message tells me to install Java 1.7. Of course I can cancel, but since I have 200 user PC and users should not be using Java 1.7 yet I would like to know can this popup message be disabled?
    Thank you in advance.
    Richard

I don't think there's much you can do about that apart from maybe disabling all pop-ups in Settings-Safari

  • Headless Lion - Disable All Error Popup's

Searched high and low to resolve this requirement but have so far failed so hoping for some input here from the community.
    Requirement:
In short I need to appease the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor). I have a Mac Mini running Lion in my living room running XBMC plus some other software which is a headless setup, this is accessed from the remote control and my wife needs to be able to simply pick this up and use it just like a standard piece of AV equipment.
    Issue:
When there is an issue with the computer is generally popup's an error message, in particular when I have Time Machine issues with the disk becoming read only for some reason or it disconnecting without ejecting properly. The issue isn't necessarily with Time Machine but with ANY error message that pop's up and stops the media centre experience.
    Resolution:
Is there anyway to stop any error message from popping up, some sort of kiosk mode. Would be handy if the error messages could be emailed out instead if that isn't asking too much. Looking to automate my environment as much as possible with little user intervention and reduce a currently frustrated wife.
    Thanks in advance.

  • VA01 - Need to display an error popup message on line item check

    Hi All,
I'm working on a user exit (report MV45AFZZ, form routine USEREXIT_FIELD_MODIFICATION).
I already have all the logic necessary - the one final piece that is left is to display an error pop-up message if the line item quantity is less than a certain number.
The pop-up should display when the enter key is pressed in the quantity field. Also, the pop-up should display if the SAVE button is pressed.
    I tried using
MESSAGE 'Please increase quantity' TYPE 'E'.
This worked, but unfortunately it caused VA01 to terminate when I click off the pop-up. This is strange, since type 'E', unlike type 'A', should not do that.
I also tried POPUP_TO_INFORM, but that's just an informational message which does not prevent saving.
    Any ideas ?
    Regards,
    Roman D.

    You can try this fm
                    CALL FUNCTION 'DD_POPUP_TO_CONFIRM_CANCEL'
                         EXPORTING
                              textline1    = text-902
                              textline2    = text-903
                              title        = text-901
                              start_column = 25
                              start_row    = 6
                              defaultpos   = 'C'
                         IMPORTING
                              answer       = cancel_rc.
                    CASE cancel_rc.
                      WHEN 'A'.
                      WHEN 'C'.
                        LEAVE PROGRAM.
                      WHEN OTHERS.
                    ENDCASE.
Based upon user inputs you can handle conditions (CANCEL_RC) accordingly.

  • Error popup in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI

I keep getting an error popup message that reads:
Adobe Acrobat Updater has not been able to check for updates recently. Check online to see if solutions are available from the Adobe website.
It also has a checkbox to hide this message.
I've seen on the forum to turn off the notifications but then I won't know about updates. I have the current version of 11.0.05
Any idea why this might be happening?

    Hi JoeDiffDez,
There might be chance either the security software is blocking Adobe to search for updates over the internet or it could be issue with your computer while communication over the network that it is being redirected from the path everytime.
You may try to reset internet explorer back to default settings . For help http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737.
Also you can try to rename the host file on the computer : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972034

  • Tecra M5 - Annoying popup messages when fails automatic BT connection to headphones

    Hi,
I've been using my Sony Bluetooth headphones at work with my Tecra M5 notebook lately and there's an annoying bunch of message that keeps popping up.
In the bluetooth settings, I've ticked the 'Automatic connection function will be validated' checkbox. This causes the headphones to connect automatically and it works a treat.
But, when I bring my laptop home I no longer have my headphones with me and roughly every 5 minutes my laptop keep displaying these annoying popup messages in the bottom right corner of my screen saying the 'automatic connection failed, please ensure your bluetooth device is powered up etc...'.
Sometimes it gives me a prompt in the bottom right corner of the screen asking me if i'd like to disable the 'automatic connection' feature for the headphones.
Is it possible to disable these annoying popup messages when my headphones aren't detected, without having to disable the 'automatic connection' option? I'd still like to leave the 'automatic connection' feature enabled so when i return to work and turn on my headphones again, it will still connect automatically.
But when I go home, i'd like to still be able to do stuff on my laptop without contstantly being bothered by these popup messsages. If there's some sort of registry setting or something to turn them off, that'd be great.
I've downloaded and installed the Blueooth Stack & Driver Version 6.40
    Cheers

Toshiba provided me a beta version of the next Bluetooth stack. It has the option which you are looking for. Just disable the setting in
"Bluetooth Settings->Bluetooth->Options->Audio ->Display message when device is connected."
So just wait until this version is avaiable for download.

  • How can I disable RPS error messages in the AS5300 ?

How can I disable de error message:
" %RPS-3-MULTFAIL: There is more than one failure with the Redundant Power System; please resolve problems immediately "
in the AS5300 with RPS Chassis and normal single power supply ?

If you only have a single power supply,
I would try swapping it (or swapping
slots) to verify if it is the problem.

  • Cant open apps, really slow, really long pauses, error 50 messages (i don't think it's in root user it didn't give a disable option)??

Hi! My macbook pro is barely working suddenly and I dont know whats wrong. It's not allowing me to open most programs or only one at a time, even trying to type a sentence it keeps pausing for moments at a time. I have recieved error 50 messages about most tasks. This just started today and I tried to disable root user but it wasn't enabled or didn't give an option. If anyone has suggestions or similar problem today I'd really appreciate it! Thanks,
    Amber

    Hi Amber,
Any changes recently, hardware or software?
Do you have at least 15% free space on your HD?
Is your RAM being recognized? (Apple menu > About This Mac > More Info > Hardware > Memory)
Have you looked in Activity Monitor?
Sometimes a process can run amok and use more of the CPU than it should, potentially causing a slowdown and/or heat issues and/or other issues. To check on this, first use your Mac as you normally would, the longer the better (checking this right after starting up may not show you anything). After you’ve used your Mac for awhile (again, the longer the better), go to Applications > Utilities > open Activity Monitor > in the top menu at right, select All Processes in the drop down menu > click on the column heading titled % CPU (this will update continuously, showing the percentage each process is using) > toward the bottom left of the window, click on CPU (this will show % Idle, which will also tell you how much of the CPU is being used).
How much RAM do you have?
One way to get an idea whether more RAM will help or not, is to check Page outs and Swap used. First, use your Mac as you normally would, the longer the better (checking this right after starting up isn’t likely to show you anything). After you’ve used your Mac for awhile(again, the longer the better), go to Applications > Utilities > open Activity Monitor > in the top menu at right, select All Processes in the drop down menu > near the bottom of the window click on System Memory. If Page outs is more that about 10% of Page ins, and/or Swap used is large, chances are good that adding RAM will help. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1342
Exactly which MBP do you have?
Have you repaired permissions? Repaired disk? Reset SMC?

  • Is there any way to disable Mail error messages?

In creating a Service in Automator which outputs to Mail, I am recieving silly error messages such as
“” does not appear to be a valid email address. Verify the address and try again.
When this occurs, the Service is stopped until I hit «Send Anyway». This defeats the purpose of my automated Service. Is there anyway to bypass or disable these error messages?

I'm getting this same error on an Automator workflow that worked fine under Snow Leopard. It just started when I upgraded to Lion. When I first ran my workflow under Lion, I got the attached warning. All looks okay until it gets to the sending of the email.
I even deleted the old "New Mail Message" from the workflow and replaced it with another "New Mail Message." No change. It still generated the error when trying to send the new mail message.

  • Passing BAPI  Error Messages to BDC  Session.

    Hi,
Can any one drive the idea how to convert rather passing BAPI error messages into BDC session.
    regards.

    Naveen,
I am sure you already have the logic of "If the call transaction is errored out you create a BDC session for the same data".
Now, when your BAPI fails, irrespective of the error, you need to build the BDCDATA table and pass the data to the session. So, I don't you really need to know the errors and pass them to the BDC Session.
Check the RETURN table of the BAPI, if it has got E / A / X error types then you can build the BDCDATA table and create the session.
    Regards.

  • Disable the popup message 'new smartview client version available'  ?

Anyone know how to cancel the popup message 'new smartview client version available' that appears when I make a Smartview Connection ?
    Thanks
    Steve

You would have to set the properties forceClientUpgrade, forceClientUpgrade to No within the Provider Services Properties in the Data Source Manager.
Please refer to Page 34 of http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12825_01/epm.111/sv_user.pdf

  • Bapi error message to info

    hi,
have a table gt_bapiret2 table of type bapiret2.
when the table is filled with gt_bapiret2-type = 'E'. the table need to be
    modified to gt_bapiret2-type = 'I'.
    regards,
    vind.

    Hi,
You can handle this in your custom program.
After BAPI call, all messages are populated in internal table gt_bapiret2.
Add this in your code -
    gt_bapiret2-type = 'I'.
modify gt_bapiret2 transporting type where type = 'E'.
This will modify all entries with 'E' to 'I'. But why do you need to do this?
