Disable JComboBox but not blur it
hi,
i want to make it impossible to change te selection of a JComboBox but don't want to blur out the text (my project leader wants it this way as he think most people won't be able to read the blurred text).
with other components (textcomponents, etc) i use setEditable(false) instead of setEnabled(false) but this doesn't work with a JComboBox as setEditable(false) only makes it impossible to enter arbitraty text, changing the selection is still possible.
anyone has any idea how to do this ?

the combobox is part of a Form-object
this form object can be different states , when in VIEW-state, all form-components should be readable but not editable, only in EDIT-state should the JComboBox selection be changeable..

Hi guys,
my girlfriend has an iPhone 4, the "stable" situation was that she was able to send and receive MMS, but not to browse in internet (but through WiFi of course). She liked the situation, because in Italy rates to go in internet are not very convenient...
Then Vodafone decided to provide her (as gift) with one month of free internet. She accepted and her iPhone "got configured"... somehow...
Now that the month is expired, now and then some application connects and she pay quite a lot of money to Vodafone... The only way in which she can avoid the problem is by disabling 3G and GPRS data, however with this she can't send and receive MMS...
Vodafone said that it is not in their services configuration the problem, but in her phone, and that she should find proper way to disable internet. Any idea of how to do it, without losing MMS?

MarcoI have an iPhone 3GS, and I live happily without being connected... Or better, I have WiFi in office and at home and I don't need more... Indeed my iPhone can send MMS, but it cannot browse internet without Vodafone configuring my phone somehow...
The same situation applied to my girlfriend with her iPhone 4G, but after Vodafone "promotion", now the phone is configured and we cannot do anything about it...
The question was if it was possible to configure iPhone 4G to go back to the previous situation... In 3GS, I have Settings -> General -> Network, I have options to configure APN connection data, while iPhone 4G doesn't seem to have it... Does anyone know how to configure the phone?

Is there a way to, say, disable a CSS property? I want to strike it or put a line through the code so it's disabled; yet, I don't want to delete it in case I want to revert back to the way it was.
For example, I have a fixed width layout. "Main_wrapper" has a width of 840px. If I strike this width (like suspending it) then it expands to fill the width of it's parent, body, which is the width of the browser. This changes it to a liguid layout. Now if the "width: 840px;" is temporarily disabled I could try this new liquid layout out and if I didn't like it just "un-strike" the "width: 840px;" and viola! I have my fixed width layout back.
Thanks for the help.DW CS5 goes that one better by allowing you to disable styles from the CSS panel by just clicking in the leading column before the style name. It's like changing the visibility of a "layer," if I can use that antique analogy, by clicking on the eyeball.

I have updated my 4S i phone with ios 8.1.2, while activating my iphone, i forgot my password. I am able to sign in my apple id in pc (manage my account) but not not able to sign in my i phone and message- your apple id has been disable for security reasons please help.

How can I keep lion from generating .DS_Store files on windows network partitions, but not disable it for all network partitions? I am fimilar with changing the setting for all network partitions(defaults write com.apple.desktopservices DSDontWriteNetworkStores true), but that is undesirable when I connect my laptop to my home network. A preferable solution would be where I could control the writing of these files based on disk format (NTFS vs HFS+).
Go to MacUpdate or CNET Downloads and search for ds_store. There are numerous utilities for preventing them from being transferred to Windows systems.

My itunes account was disabled for some reason. I changed password in iforgot and still didn't work. I could log in and see my music but not make purchases from the store or even redeem an itunes gift card so I set up a new login/account with another email account of mine. On the new account I can redeem my gift card and download items onto my ipad2. Is there any way to move my music to the new account?
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then try the action that you're having trouble with again. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.

I have activated the passcode lock on my iPad sometimes ago and now I foregot it, I entered several passcode but non was correct, now the iPad nis disabled and would not connect to the iTunes. what can be done to unlock my iPad?
If you've forgotten the passcode then you will need to connect the iPad to the computer that you normally sync to and you should then be able to reset the iPad and re-sync your content to it (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212) - you may need to put the iPad into recovery mode : http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808

Disabled
Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

The scroll function on my mousepad is disabled when viewing a pdf file in firefox version 5.0. The scroll works on the pdf, but not on the other tabs. When the pdf is closed, the scroll function returns to normal. Any ideas?!
Hey thanx for the help, it worked like a charm.
I think firefox changed the application lay out, as I used to be able to choose my PDF opener from the list at " Adobe Acrobat Forms Document' where I could choose Nitro-PDF reader, but it has now moved all the way to the bottom like you suggested to the obvious place of "Portable Document Format" section.
If someone didn't tell me , I wouldn't have scrolled all the way down to be able to find it... it really should be with all its cousins up the top...

As to your problem, if you have forgotten the password to your Apple ID, try this web page:

RgrdsThere is an option which I've never used before but just read about which is to create your foreign key constraint as on delete SET NULL
instead of on delete cascade.
This will allow you to delete a parent and will set the foreign key column values in the child table to nulls
e.g.

Source Reformat menu item disabled for some XML files, but not all
For some reason, the 'Reformat' option isn't available for some of my XML files (in Source menu it's disabled, in the right-click pop up menu it's not even there). For example in my META-INF folder it's enabled for .wsdl files but not .xml files. In the same project, it's enabled for all .xml files in the WEB-INF folder.
Any idea what's going on?

This is a simple .wmv file, that I have copied, burned, created a disk image, made a copy of and sent to the UK, Germany, Ireland and even New Jersey. It has been played on a MacBook Pro, a MacBook, a Dell whatever, a Sony stand alone DVD player, an LG DVD player. At least three nieces or nephews, and at least 2 canines have put it through ISO 9XXX rigors.
The problem is that Apple Quick Time 7 Pro with Flip4Mac Pro "can't handle it"
It opens fine, it plays fine --- but when I try to "output" it via the FILE menu - all of the options

I know nothing abour codecs and wrappers but I tihnk that this is the problem.
What should I know about the file?
Ffor example, years ago, all you needed to know about a Mac file was the "Creator" and the "Type" - both were 4 character codes. something like ADOB for Adobe and PMK2 for Pagemaker 2.0.
Any help identifying the file and what I can use to get it onto my iPhone will be appreciated.
