Disable reload of restored tabs. Disable reload when clicked.

The question above may seem like two problems, but the issue is only one problem.
I have session manager and I want to use the cache to load my tabs when restored. Right now I have it where once restored, all my tabs don't reload on startup. Instead they reload when clicked.
Is there any way I can disable the reload portion when their clicked? I found no setting in session manager that disable this and I'm beginning to believe it's within firefox itself. I tried the tab mix restore option by disabling session manager and that also results in the same thing happening.

Please help! This is a very annoying bug in the new firefox versions. I always had a lots of tab open and after restarted firefox they just loaded from the CACHE!
This is very important because:
- it's slow to wait for every tab to load when i click or all of them at startup, and in the 99% of the cases the page didn't changed, maybe just it's modified time since a php/asp page can change, but not the content, and the most importnat, that i didn't wanted to reload them.
- if i have a lot of login protected page than as i start firefox after my login session is over then it will reload all my pages and i totally LOSE every information. I will have only 30 login page tab....
I hope that there is a solution for that. Nowdays 1GB+ cache is not a problem so it can work with a lots of tabs. The only thing i can do now is to HIBERNATE my PC every time :( So actually i don't close firefox...
If there is no settings now, please implement a very simple "hibernation" hidden settings. But i think it's a very common problem, not just mine.

I want to automatically restore tabs and windows when I reopen firefox

Previously, when I exited firefox all tabs and windows would open next time upon re-opening firefox - not any more in 31.0
How can i set thjis so this would be my default?

You can check the startup setting:
*Firefox > Preferences > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my windows and tabs from last time"
Make sure that you close the Firefox application while windows that you want to restore are still open.
If you close open windows and leave the menu bar then you would have to restore open windows/tabs via the History menu or via the button on the about:home page.

Spry - load tab content only when clicked / selected

I'm considering spry to create a multi-tab page layout.. tabs
such as 'account', 'balance', 'bin', 'history', etc.
Each tab's content is dynamic and based on moderately
demanding DB calls. Is there a way to set Spry such that
- only the default selected tab's content (on page load) is
'filled', while the content of other tabs is generated only upon
user's click?
- once a tab's content is loaded, not regenerate its dynamic
content? I think I have an idea how to do this, but doesn't hurt to
ask.

If i understand you right, this script sets the current tab
as default so if the page refreshes it reloads the current tab not
the first tab? If so this is exactly what i'm after! I'm not hot on
javascript so could you possibly expand a little on how i would
implement this in a php page??

Animated tab box - playReverse when click elsewhere?

I've got a bit of a tricky one I'm hoping someone could help me with!
I've designed what is basically a tabbed info window in Edge Animate to add to a website deigned in Muse. There are 5 animated headings and when each one is clicked, the relevant info is revealed below it...
So, I've got so far:
MouseEnter:      sym.getSymbol("Heading1").play('Over');
MouseLeave:     sym.getSymbol("Heading1").playReverse();
Click:                 sym.getSymbol("Heading1").play('Click');
                         sym.getSymbol("Info1").play('Click');
And what I'd like to add is - when Heading2 (or Heading3 /4 /5) is clicked, Heading1 then playReverse to resume the initial state and the animation of Heading2 follows...
I've already tried a sym.getSymbol("Heading1").playReverse(); But I need it to look at which symbol is currently activated and only play that one in advance.
I hope that makes sense!
Me second problem is once the heading is clicked, I'd like it to stay that way until another heading it clicked. At the moment the MouseEnter and MouseLeave actions still work if you roll over the heading.
I'm a newbie so please keep it as simple as you can! And any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tabs react slow when clicked on and often open in a new window

When switching to another tab in the same window Firefox will often not respond for several seconds. Sometimes it just opens the tab I clicked on in a whole new window, this will make Firefox not respond for several seconds. This happens very often, even when there is low cpu usage.

Go to Tools->Options->Apps
Here you should see two columns: Content Type on the left, Actions on the right.
Find and select excel spreadsheet or any other content type in the left column. There should be a corresponding action in the right column. What is it? You can use the drop-down list to select the option you want:
Always Ask - Firefox will ask each time: What do you want to do with this file?
Save file - Firefox will save this file to your computer
Use - Firefox will give this file to the program to open it
In case of saving, Firefox will either prompt you every time where you want the file to be saved, or save it to the default location. It depends on the preference in
Tools->Options->General->Download

I cannot get a new tab to open when clicking on the + tab

I cannot open a new tab by clicking the + sign in Firefox. This feature works in Chrome and IE.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox.
I have done all the available updates.
I have done a reboot 2x.
Ctrl T will not open a new tab either; however, I can do a search for something and right click to open in a new tab.
I use the tabs frequently and really miss them.

hello stefbrooks, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here (look out for tab-related ones in particular)...

Accordian Tab - only open when click icon

Hello Everyone,
I am struggling to find an answer to this.
I need the accordion tab's "clickable region" restricted to
just one small open icon. Currently if you click anywhere on the
tab it opens. If you click the tab again it closes. This behavior
is what I really need to change.
Here is an example on the Live Docs that is doing exactly
what I need. I assume its spry, but can not find the source code.

After the Firefox 6.0.2 update (up from 6.0), Firefox does not open a tab/page anymore when clicking on links in e-mail(have Thunderbird 6.0.2)

Firefox no longer receives clicks on links in e-mail and others. No response at all. When I click on URL links in Windows, I receive "Windows cannot find http://<an address>. Make sure you typed the name correctly ...". When I click on e-mail links in Thunderbird, I do not get an error but nothing happens.

This problem disappeared after a few days by itself but the last significant change in my PC prior to noticing normal Firefox link behaviour was MS Vista update KB2607712 & restart. This may or may not be the solution to the problem.

Tabs reloading whenever clicking on them!

Have safari open with 4 windows each with about 10 tabs open.
When clicking from tab to tab it completely reloads the tab. Am only clicking on the tab, and not right clicking and requesting reload tab.
This is really a hassle for 2 reasons - a delay each time I look at a web page on a different page, and secondly anything I have entered in any form is erased as the page reloads.
Have 8GB of memory and I have more than 5GB Free - So it is not a memory issue.
No other High CPU apps are running.
It not a matter of flash - same thing happens if I turn on or off Flash blocking.

1. Right-click > open in new tab

Earlier it did not happen like this. It is really very annoying. Re-installation and clean installation of the latest version did not helped.
And this is happening mainly when I am using Facebook. Earlier it never happened so with Facebook.

How can i stop tabs currently not being viewed from needing to be reloaded when i switch to it?

When I am viewing a website in firefox mobile, if I open a link in a new tab, switch to this link, and stay on that tab for more than a minute, the first tab has to be reloaded when I switch back to it. Is there any way to increase the amount of time before a tab would need to be reloaded?
