Disable the components of UI

I have one requirements, where i have three Team member say A(Super), B and C. This all team is resulted in a table. When i click on A, i should see/updates the details of A, B and C. But if i click on B, the user can see/updates details of him(B) but can only view details of A and C. Same applies for C.
How should i handle this. Can it be achived using personalization?

You should write logic in the controller for this, when you select B, disable the fields that details A and C, so that these are not updatable.
Thanks

  • How can I disable all the components in a JPanel?

    I want to disable all the components( button, text field ) in a JPanel. I know I can search the panel and disable each of its children component recursively. Is there a better way to do this?

    I want to disable all the components( button, text field ) in a JPanel.You haven't defined what you mean by "disable".
    If you mean you want the component to be repainted in its disabled state, then you would need to set the property of each individual component to disable, which would imply some kind of recursion.
    If you just want to prevent components from receiving key events and mouse events, then you can use a glass pane or maybe a panel with an overlay layout that contains a non-opaque panel that intercepts all events.

  • 11G ADF BC: First time loading the page, how to disable some components?

    Hi,
    I have a fusion web application created using Jdev 11G ADF BC. I am working on a search/results page that has a panel split. In the left panel, there is a list of nevigation links. The data shows in the right panel.
    What I want to achieve here is to enable only one link on the left when the page is first loaded and it is a search/result page. Disable all the rest of it because other links are related to more info about the search results. When the page is first loaded, there is no data on the right, so that there is no more other data to look at. Ideally, all the rest of the links should be disabled and only the "Query" link should be active and selected.
    Is there a way to do this with 11G? Thank you very much for your help.
    Regards,
    Annie

    initially, what ever the components you want to disable set the disabled="true" in the jspx. Once you fetch the query results and in that action enable the componens like commandButton1.setDisabled(Boolean.FALSE);. that's how I am doing. You can dynamically enable/disable by having a boolean variable in the backing bean and set the disable property of component lke disabled="#{backingBeanScope.yourbean.blnAddBtn}".

  • Disable all the components of a panel ( panels within the main panel )

    Hi guys!
    I have a problem!
    i have to disable all the components of a panel. please note that i am also having panels within the main panel. please tell me how to do that!!!
    its urgent!!

    Hi guys!
    I have a problem!Wouldn't have figured that one out by myself ...
    its urgent!!No, it's not.
    You know, a panel is most often a subclass of Container, so all you need to do is recursively disable all child components. The methods getComponents and getComponent are very helpful when trying to access child components. Code likeif ( comp instanceof Container )
      // do soemthing
    }will help in determining whether a child component is yet another Container.

  • Can you disable the autoseek that occurs on key down in list based components?

    I have a datagrid and hitting a key causes an autoseek to happen which takes me to a different row in the grid/list.  I have tryed adding an event listener and using prevent default but apperently the event is happening elsewhere.  The basic setup is a grid in a item renderer for another datagrid.  I have tried capturing the event for both and while I can use the event I can't seem to disable the autseek that occurs.  Any help would be great.

  • How can I disable the access to windows 2000(O.S.) from LabView?

    I need to disable the access to windows when an application (exe), created by LabView, is running. When the application is running, the user can not acces to windows (for example, execute another application) until he stops the application.
    I am using LabView 6.1 and windows 2000
    Many Thanks

    Hi Francesc,
    There are a couple of options for this. One of them could be calling Windows OS activex components and making the Desktop invisible through labVIEW and then bringing it back on after the LabVIEW execution is stopped.
    The other option is to modify user settings on the target machine. I have tried this on windows 2000 and it works.
    Run "gpedit.msc" from your start menu. In the Group Policy template choose the user configuration that you wish to make the settings for. Expand User Configuration , expand Administrative Templates , and then expand System. Choose 'Custom user interface'
    In this panel select 'Enabled' and enter the interface file name, in this case C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Labview 6.1.exe. (or your own filepath\App
    lication.exe). Reboot the machine.
    This replaces the default windows shell (explorer.exe) with your LabVIEW executable. When the operator logs on, the only thing on his screen is the Labview application. No desktop, no taskbar, no start button.
    This can also be done through LabVIEW using register-level programming. But it would be a more complex approach.
    Hope this helps.

  • VS Exp 2013: Unable to create the Web site ... The components for communicating with FTP servers are not installed.

    I have MS Visual Studio Express 2013 It has worked fine for many months and then suddenly (I have made no configuration changes or added new programs) when I try to publish I am getting the message:
    Unable to create the Web site 'ftp://ftp.xx.xx/xxx.org.uk/www/htdocs'. The components for communicating with FTP servers are not installed.
    (I have replaced actual name with x's).
    I had a similar problem some months ago and found that saving all files, closing VS 2013 and re-starting the program fixed the problem. This time it has not.
    I am at a loss to know how to take this forwards. I do not use IIS.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Michael.

    Hi Michael,
    For web site development, so you use the VS2013 express for web, am I right? We have to make sure that it is not the VS version issue.
    As you said that it worked well before, did you install other add-ins or tools in your VS IDE like
    Xamarin or others?
    Maybe you could disable or remove all add-ins in your VS IDE, test it again.
    please also install the VS2013 update 4 in your side.
    Best Regards,
    Jack

  • Mozilla ActiveX Control & Plug In Support 1.0.0.4 causes my XP machine to get way slow. Is there a problem with it? I've had to disable the Add On.

    With this Add On enabled, the system seems to be cycling in and out of repeated calls to "check" something, I suppose, adding an irritating delay to internet surfing. I have seen no adverse impact to disabling this Add On thus far. It happens on some sites worse than others but most are impacted.

    You can remove the Mozilla ActiveX plugin ("npmozax.dll") and related files (if found) from your computer, if you wish, by following these instructions, copied from http://kb.mozillazine.org/ActiveX#Uninstalling_the_ActiveX_plugin_on_Windows
    '''Quote:'''
    '''Uninstalling the ActiveX plugin on Windows'''
    *Close all instances of your browser.
    *Go to the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory installation directory] (e.g., C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox).
    *Go into the "plugins" folder and delete the file "npmozax.dll".
    *Go back to the installation directory, and then go into the "components" folder, and delete the files "nsIMozAxPlugin.xpt" and "nsAxSecurityPolicy.js".
    *Go back to the installation directory, open the "defaults" folder, then open the "pref" folder and delete the file "activex.js".

  • How can I disable the auto resizing in NetBeans?

    Hello,
    how can I disable the auto resizing in NetBeans?
    I cannot resize nor displace components due to this automation.

    first what do u mean by auto resizing ? if u mean the layout that automatically aligns itself then ..... if that's yr question then u need to set the layout to null
    if using netbeans then right click on the the mainPanel and setlayout to null if eclipse the frame.getContent.setlayout(null);
    NetBean doesn't have a forum it has mailing list u can subscribe there

  • Disable the Remote Management Service?

    I know this is "Why would anyone want to do this" question but we are having conflicting issues in one of our labs between NetSupport and Zenworks when trying to run Adobe Flash. NetSupport is a tool that quite a few of our lab teachers use, it gives them the ability to see all of there students screens, take control of them, and a few other features, all from a console that runs on the teacher machine.
    The problem comes in when running Flash if the student tries to create a text box and scroll inside of it then the computer crashes. We contacted NetSupport for help with this and they had us run a reporting tool that looked at the hardware setup and driver information. Then they setup a test machine and tried to replicate the problem and they were not able to. However they tech did note that in the scan of the machine there could be a conflicting issue between NetSupports Mirror Driver and DemoForge TightVNC Mirror Driver. I assumed the latter was part of Zenworks remote management. So we stopped the remote management service on a machine and tried to replicate the problem. We did not encounter the problem so we turned the remote management service back on and sure enough as soon as we tried to replicate the problem again the machine crashed.
    Now when we tried to disable the remote management service in the services menu but it will not stay disable as soon as the machine restarts the remote management service is running and its set to automatic again.
    Is there anyway to disable (preferable) or remove just the remote management piece with out removing the rest of the client from the machines?
    Thanks,
    Mike

    You can configure this in the ZCC for which components you want
    installed. You can deselect Remote Management.
    Note: You can also disable or remove the Mirror Driver from the Devices
    Control Panel under Display Drivers and it will not come back.

  • How can we disable the a ias-component from backend

    Hi,
    can any one tell how to disable the ias-component from backend? I don't want some components to start during the start of OPMN processes. My OEM page is not accessible to disable the start of the components.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vijay.

    The preferred way of disabling things is using ASC (application server control/enterprise manager).
    ASC makes a modification to $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/conf/opmn.xml.
    Every component has a tag named "status" which can be set to "disabled":
    <ias-component id="DSA" status="enabled" id-matching="true">
    If you use this method, do not forget to sync your modification with the dcm repository using:
    $ORACLE_HOME/dcm/bin/dcmctl updateconfig

  • How can I disable the printing out of zone.property vars when using jpdk test page?

    I have had a tar in on this question for two weeks now. Since
    the only response I have gotten is wip, I was hoping someone
    here might have some ideas.
    When I run the /servlet/sample page after setting up my JPDK, it
    runs just fine. HOWEVER, it displays all the initargs that I
    have in my zone.properties on the screen. I don't want these
    args to be seen.
    How do I disable the display of initargs on the /servlet/sample
    test page?
    For example, this is what displays:
    Congratulations! You have succesfully reached your Provider's
    Test Page.
    Checking for components:
    Portlets are:
    Test
    FilePortlet
    SystemNav
    Oracle Jsp detected
    Recognizing initArgs: Usual initArgs are provider_root and
    sessiontimeout
    snode http://sys/home
    pswd snvs
    uname sysa1
    debuglevel 1
    I do not want the initArg variables to show up on this page,
    since I have username and password variables that I use in my
    servlets.
    Any ideas will be appreciated.

    I got a reply on my tar.
    Apparently I have to edit the HttpProvider.java to change this
    behavior.
    Regards.

  • Disabling JPanel Components

    Dear ,
    I have the following method that disable all the components in a JPanel;
    It has a JLabel, JTextField, and a JButton.
    When I call this method from the constructor of the parent class; It is only disabling the JLabel, and the JTextField.
    If I extend this class from another class, and call this method; None of the components are disabled.
    public void disablePanel()
            myPanel.setEnabled(false);
            allCom = myPanel.getComponents();
            for (int i = 0 ; i < allCom.length; i++)
                allCom.setEnabled(false);
    Would any one, suggest what might the reason be?
    Best Regards,
    M. Tleis

    Your code disables only the first-level children of myPanel .
    If the JButton is not a first-level child but merely a grandchild (e.g. added to a JPanel that is itself added to the initial myPanel), your loop never iterates to the button.
    I suggest you have a look at camickr's DisabledPanel : http://tips4java.wordpress.com/2009/08/02/disabled-panel/

    how i disable the frame window??

    disable function works only on components its not work on frame..

    hi!
    1) which one you are using? Frame/JFrame ?
    2) exactly what do you want to disable?
    a) entire frame including titlebar buttons
    b) just all the child components, menus, toolbar buttons
    c) what should be the behavior of taskbar at the time of disabled frame object?
    i think for a proper and to the point solution these are thing one need to know.
