Disappointment!!!!:) Static noise problem

Hey,
My model is A665-S6081.
The laptop is completely new!!!
I had a static noise from my left speaker/headphone so  decided to activate the guarantee.
After two weeks the technicians said the problems had been fixed!!
And of course it's not!!!!!!
WTF?!?!?!?!?
I am really disappointed from Toshiba company and will not recommend it to anyone.

Have you run any of the sound software yet? Theres equilizor and other parts to it. There are also a few microphone tweaks in it that im sure will help you out.

Hi, I have a Dominator GT70, and the sound quality coming from the built-in microphone is so god-awful you can barely hear yourself, with the addition of static noise. I have a sample of the sound here:

You can barely hear me. I'm thinking I might need to go contact MSI about this and get my laptop repaired - I have a warranty from newegg.

  • Realtek alc 892 static noise

I have problems with on-board Realtek alc 892 audio. Im running out of ideas of what could i do to fix this static noise problem.Im using Logitec z-2300 speaker.I have tried headphones too and all of them have this static noise coming trough. There is no noise with volume at 50% but beyond that it becomes audible. It kinda sounds like scratching vinyl plates or makes popping sound.whenever i move my mouse or type something the noise is coming in.Also when the cpu is under work(while loading something when i click the noise comes in)there are leds on my z77a-g45 mb that shows cpu activity and when they flash the static noise/whine is present. This noise exactly fallows cpu work.At high volume there is always barely audible electrical hummming...Disabling on-board audio in Windows does not have any effect at all.I get the same thing in bios...
What i have tried so far:
    1.Uninstalled/reinstalled audio/video drivers.
    2.Muted microphone,hdmi audio and recording.
3.Switched cable positions, including mouse and speakers jack.
4.Tried other wall contacts in my room.
5.Updated mb bios to latest v2.7
6.Reseated hardware inside pc/cleaned of dust.
7.Cpu oc does not cause this.Same problem with stock clocks.

I have the same problem, have tried 3 PSUs, and nothing, the only solution was to buy an pci-e sound card.
The problem appear when MSI updated BIOS 2.0 to 2.1.
Please don't hijack other people threads, and why don't you flash back to 2.0 or the newest beta? Start your own thread and we can discuss this.

I took gtx 560 ti completely out but no luck. Also took psu out temporary and placed it on the floor. Not even a slight change
Taking the psu out doesn't really do anything, taking the mainboard out and placing it on a non-conductive surface is what I was recommending.  Test with the cpu, cooler, 1 stick of ram, igd and y our mouse / keyboard. After some other things though.
Testing with a different PSU would be good to rule that out as the culprit.

  • Static Noise

I posted this on the wrong ipod thread, since I found out I own a 5th gen. Anyway, I've found some threads about the static noise problem in the Ipod classics. I wonder if anyone has experience connecting the ipod to a sound system such as the Kenwood or Pioneer Avic-X3, the latter I now own. These car systems are state of the art, and one of the few systems who allow direct control over the ipod. I wanted the very best, so I specifically bought the Ipod for this purpose.
The problem is the audio quality because of static noise is simply terrible. Even if no music is playing there is a continues buzzing sound through the sound system (probably the HDD) which gets worse when you turn up the volume. turning off the EQ in the ipod makes no difference. Pioneer blames the Ipod, and by checking various threads it seems this is a genuine problem. What advise would you guys give me, is it worth raising this with Apple by going back to the store? I can't believe I spend more then 2000 Euros on this entire system and having this crap quality.

    Hi,
To start with, download and install the latest IDT driver on the link below.
    ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp51501-52000/sp51930.exe
After the installation has completed, restart the notebook and see if this has helped the issue.

  • Mouse trails and static noise - video refresh problem?

I get mouse trails that don't refresh away and static noise when I click and drag.
In most apps that allow scrolling, like safari. I will get a small box on the screen that will create a trail of that small square all the way down my screen. It looks like a trail. Also if I click on a window and move it I get a static noise. The noise sounds like little crickets. Any ideas? I am thinking about spending money to upgrade this box and am worried I may be throwing money away.

Great news. Original owner upgraded the graphics card on this machine when he bought a new monitor. He had the original nvidia fx 5200 which I promptly installed, replacing the ATI Radeon 9600. Problem solved. I still hear the noise when I drag the windows around, not sure why but there are no more mouse trails. It was the graphics card!

  • N8 background noise problem with Philips SHE9850

I just bought N8 to replace my 5800XM. N8 is good so far until I plug in the ear phone which I used from my 5800XM time, Philips SHE9850.
The problem is I used this earphone from the time that I still use 5800XM and it works great. No noise at all.
Now, when you play any sound from N8 (anything from clicking menu button, play movie, listen to music, play games etc). It produces static noise that is very noticeable/annoying in the earphone (since Philips SHE9850 has quite low impedance so you will know right away). Especially, the dialogue (speech) or the quiet part of the song. When you slide the side button to lock the screen, after it goes dim, the noise goes away even the music still playing which is so strange.
Do any of you have similar problem like me? I am going to visit Nokia Shop that I bought the phone on this Friday and test with the demo phone. Don’t know what will be the result but I am so disappoint with this issue. If you have any experience, please share with me. Thanks.

You guys are worrying me. My N97 has top notch audio output. If N8 has worse, I don't want it.
I remember that N95 had similiar issue when screen was turned on.
I was getting a slight pop/hiss on my N97-00 when each MP3 loaded.  The same behavior exists on the N8.  Could it simply be something to do with the way the codec is utilized by the phone.  I didn't find it that distracting.

  • How I Fixed Audigy 2 ZS Popping, Stuttering, Static Noise Probl

I know many people have problems with popping, stuttering and static noise type problems, so I thought I'd share how I (eventually) sorted all my problems out...
I have an ABIT AN7 motherboard so these instructions may need to be customised for other makes/models, but the basic solution was to assign the sound card its very own IRQ in BIOS which is definitely not used/shared (should also work for other SoundBlaster cards)
Also, this involves changing BIOS settings, so don't try this if you're not confident (I take absolutely no responsibility for screw-ups!)
. Uninstall all SB drivers (preferably use Driver Cleaner Pro in Safe Mode)
    2. Install/Move the Audigy 2 ZS into PCI slot 3 of the motherboard
    3. In the BIOS, disable one of the Serial ports (BIOS > Intergrated Peripherals > Onboard Serial Port 3F8/IRQ4 > Set to DISABLE. This will free up IRQ 4 that was being used
    4. Reassign the free IRQ 4 to the Audigy 2 ZS card (BIOS > PnP/PCI Configurations > PIRQ_0 Use IRQ No > Change from AUTO to 4)
    5. Save Changes and Exit
    6. Reinstall latest SB drivers
I know this will probably not help many people, but it sorted EVERYTHING out for me, so hopefully it'll help someone
    Cheers, Mike

Cool. Hopefully someone will benifit from this .

  • BOSE Mk1 Soundock & 1st Gen iPod Touch + Electric/Static Noise**

I have recently bought a Bose Mk1 Soundock for my 1st Gen iPod Touch, at first worked fine, brilliant lil gadet, but then it started to generate a reeeely high pitched electric/static noise when the battery was fully charged when music was both on or off, i returned and got an exchange for a brand new bose which didnt solve the problem so i can only assume its the ipod, so i put in a service request with apple, off it went and came back 'un-repaired' as apple 'could not reproduce the problem/s'?? since then it has started generating this noise regardles of battery level or music on/off and is reely, reely, reely annoying and is rendering the unit virtually unusable with the bose, am i the only one who can hear this or is anyone else having/had the same problem??!?

    Hey
    Is it this noise:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yqeggo7DSGg
If so, I'm having the same problem. I've emailed B&W support about it. It doesn't occur without the ipod docked. Doesn't seem to be a problem with other docks though, so it could be fixable with a firmware update. In fact, it wasn't ever a problem with the original Zeppelin firmware, only after the update.

  • Static Noise or No Playback

Hello. I have a mini ipod 1st generation and about a week ago I noticed that it would not play certain songs and if it did play them then it was with static noise or with improper playback. If anyone knows how to solve this problem or has ever had this happen to them, please let me know.
    Cheers!

Yes I reformatted it and restored it without any change in playback. Most of the time it will not play any of the songs. Please help!!!

  • Awful Static Noise After Installing GNOME 3

    Hey guys,
I installed GNOME 3 last night and did not notice this until today. After setting the TIMEZONE variable in rc.conf and restarting the computer I am now experiencing a very high pitched static noise that I cannot stand. The static noise is just happening all the time, even when no sounds are playing or anything. I should note that installing GNOME 3 installed PulseAudio for some reason if that makes a difference.

ok, do you know if your time is set to UTC or localtime?  If I'm not mistaken, UTC is recommended.
It sounds like your hardware clock is giving you the troubles.  See here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Time
You can change the time of your hardware clock via the command line by following the commands in the wiki.
I also noticed that you have hwclock in your deamons array in your rc.conf.  Not sure if that's an additional source of trouble, see the "Common Problems" section of the wiki linked above for more info.  I don't remember the reason why, but I did not include it in my deamons array and haven't had any issues.
Not sure if this is relevant, but if you dual boot with windows see the "UTC in Windows" section of the wiki as well as Windows could be changing your manual time adjustments back to what it wants everytime you boot into it.

  • MacBook Makes odd Static noise ~NOT SPEAKERS~

I have just recently reinstalled Leopard after a hard drive error (possibly caused when I dropped it 4 feet :P), and everything was fine. But I noticed that my speakers weren't as loud as they were and they sounded kind of muffled. Then the MacBook just started making this subtle popping noise, but that stopped after a day, but now it makes this horrendous loud static noise out of no where, and *it is not the speakers* because I turn them down and it still makes the noise. The noise has stopped for now but if I try to listen to iTunes it is VERY garbled. Could this possibly have something to do with the hard drive or disc drive or any kind of hardware issue? Any comments are greatly appreciated!

Just because you turned down the speaker volume but yet can still here the static noise does not mean that it is not coming from the speakers. Since something is damaged or broken you cannot assume that turning down the speaker volume will keep an errant sound turned down also.
Since you dropped the computer from 4 feet the problem could be just about any hardware component, from the hard drive to the logic board.

  • Consistant Static Noise noise changes when performing actions on laptop, need he

I have a Sound Blaster Li've 24-bit External sound card which I have my DJ equipment connected to. The problem I am coming across is static noise coming through the speakers. The sound is there when the audio board is powered on?or off. I have already did basic troubleshooting and I refered to theKnowledge Base on this site.
Power of laptop is in a different source, soundcard has the latest downloads, speaker cables are fine etc. I want to check the Bios on my computer but I don't think I am that tactful to do this. Anyways, I will cut and paste my message I started on Mediamonkey.com, I am GDTRFB66. I basically wan't to know if there is a filter or a better sound card I can purchase to knock out the interference the computer is making. I Usually only run 2 speakers, sometimes I will connect smaller speakers through my audio board and run it through source. Also the ststic noise is there when I just connect my computer directly to my laptop and it uses the onboard sound card, so I doubt it is an issue with the sound card.
I really would like some additional help here is the post I submitted on Media Monkey......Next Message

Every time I open an mp3 (or any audio file) in QuickTime, it plays a lot of static noise in the background.  These audio files work fine in other applications (iTunes, VLC, etc) so i know the problem lies with QuickTime.  I have tried re-installing it, but the same problem keeps occurring.  Does anyone else have this problem and know what's wrong?  I'm using QuickTime 10.3,  on Mavericks 10.9.5

  • Does Line Static Noise Affect Infinity 2 Speed?

Hi, I've had my Infinity installed just over a week now. Since the install I noticed static noise on the line, was told it could be a problem with my phone, went and bought a cheap phone which seemed ok.
The last 2 days the hubs been disconnecting with the orange light flashing and when I plug my phone in theres loads of noise on the line.
I rang customer services as I was also getting a 42Mb download on the speed test (the technician tested it at 70), he advised my to go to speedtest.btwholesale.com follow instructions (which i did). I then get 37MB on the download. BUT, during the call I asked if the line noise affects the speed, but he said just to ignore it as I hardly use my home phone.
The technician who installed it all said it tested fine but I dont think it is. Also I know they can't guarantee download speeds but 42mb is pretty far from 76mb advertised...

Yes noise on your line will have an adverse effect on your broadband speeds. You need to report a fault. Do not mention your broadband or you will end up with the same response you have had already. Just report it as a phone fault.
Once the line is clear from noise you should notice a rise in broadband speeds.
If you run this checker it will show the two ranges which your speeds should be within.
