Error Opening the LOB file

Question

Hi
I am working on Oracle version11.1.0.7.0. i have created the below small procedure and while trying to execute that procedure i am getting certain errors.
GRAPHICS_TABLE
GRAPHICS_ID     NUMBER
GRAPHICS_NAME     VARCHAR2(20 BYTE)
GRAPHICS_LOC     BLOB
Procedure readfile
create or replace
procedure readfile(FilePath in varchar2,FileName in
varchar2)
as
l_bfile BFILE;
gr_loc BLOB;
begin
select graphics_loc into gr_loc from graphics_table where graphics_id=1 FOR UPDATE;
l_bfile := BFILENAME('MY_DIR', FileName);
dbms_lob.fileopen(l_bfile);
dbms_lob.open(l_bfile);
dbms_lob.loadfromfile(gr_loc,l_bfile, dbms_lob.getlength(l_bfile));
dbms_lob.close(l_bfile);
dbms_lob.close(gr_loc);
commit;
end;
Execution of the procedure from the sql prompt i am getting below exception
SQL> exec readfile('/tmp/jinesh','jinesh.txt');
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-22289: cannot perform operation on an unopened file or LOB
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_LOB", line 483
ORA-06512: at "CRAMER.READFILE", line 19
ORA-06512: at line 1
I have already created directory /tmp/jinesh on the server and created directory on oracle and grant all rights with below command
SQL> create or replace directory my_dir as '/tmp/jinesh';
SQL> Grant all on directory MY_DIR to public;
still i am getting the above exception could somebody please provide me pointers to resolve the above error????

You need something like this:

  gr_loc     BLOB;
  lengh_file BINARY_INTEGER;
BEGIN
  SELECT graphics_loc
    into gr_loc
    FROM graphics_table
   WHERE graphics_id = 1
     FOR UPDATE;
  l_bfile := BFILENAME('MY_DIR', FileName);
  --DBMS_LOB.fileopen(l_bfile);
  DBMS_LOB.open(l_bfile, DBMS_LOB.file_readonly);
  lengh_file := DBMS_LOB.getlength(l_bfile);
  DBMS_LOB.loadfromfile(gr_loc, l_bfile, lengh_file);
  DBMS_LOB.close(l_bfile);
  COMMIT;
END;
