Disco+ not getting time component on format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MI:SS

I have a problem with several fields that have an Oracle datatype of DATE, and which have a time component. Our installation is 10GR2. The first field is SEQ_START_TIME (names are changed to protect the innocent). Like the other fields under discussion, there is a time component, and I have verified that time is present using Oracle Enterprise Manager (e.g. 04-Oct-2006 02:47:27 AM ). I built the Business Intellligence items in OWB (about 100 items in 4 folders) and after being deployed to Discoverer Plus they are all working except showing the time component (only date appears). The format I have used in OWB, which was successfully deployed to Discoverer Plus is “YYYY-MM-DD HH:MI:SS”. I also tried changing the format in the workbook and to no avail.
Any suggestions as to why Discoverer is not getting the time info? I have checked other similar postings but can't seem to solve it.

Hi Russ. Thanks for your suggestion. The only NLS_ setting is as follows:
nls_lang = AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252 and I believe that is character set. I looked elsewhere in the registry for Discoverer and found a couple of things but not NLS_ stuff or anything that seemed related. Do the Oracle product wizards monitor these sites? The way it is not working does seem like a setting/parameter/flag because it does give the correct date but displays the 12:00:00 time component as if none had been assigned.

Time From field is not getting displayed in correct format in Activities

Hello Experts ,
We are facing one problem in UI , when we search for Activities in Web UI . In the field "Time From" we are not getting the time in correct format , ie is instead of getting time as say 13::38 we are getting time as 13::3 , but when we place cursor on it the field it shows correct format say 13::38.
Can any one suggest how to display in correct format ?

I can not get Time Machine to back up an external WD Passport 2 TB drive! Has anyone else had this problem? The drive is new and I was running Snow Leopard and upgraded to Lion and it still won't do it. Time Machine backs up the internal drive fine.

I bought 2 2TB WD Passport Drives with the intention of housing my iTunes/iPhoto libraries off my older MacBook. I have successfully transferred the Libraries to one and am using the other one for Time Machine. In Snow Leopard I could back up my computer to Time Machine no problem but when I did not exclude the iTunes/iPhoto drive the back up fails. Both drives have been reformatted, permissions repaired and checked in Disk Utility and one was replaced. I have been to the Genius Bar now 5 times. I have tried using USB drive and FireWire. Both drives are recognized and are working properly otherwise regardless how they are connected. Finally yesterday the Apple store installed Lion to see if that fixed the issue and it did not. Time Machine successfully backed up a USB Flash drive, and today I will try an older external drive. Any ideas on what else to try??? Do I have to resort to third party software like Carbon Copy Cloned to get this done? Any ideas why this wont work? I am using a FireWire converter but as I said, both drives are working normally otherwise (libraries working, time machine working for the computer's hard drive. Any ideas would be appreciated!!?

Thanks so much but none of that helped. It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive. I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!

Multiple PageHeader section does not get exported to ExcelRecord format

We are using Crystal Reports for VS 2005 in the web application that we are developing. We found that when are exporting the report to ExcelRecord, if the report has multiple PageHeader sections then only the content of the last section will get exported to the resulting excel file. It would be great help if you can tell me how to deal with it.
Note: We are using ExportToDisk to export the report to ExcelRecord format.

the AirPort Express will no longer allow me to double NAT it and just continues to give me an error that the DHCP range conflicts with the WAN IP address of the base station?
Two possible fixes:
1) Perform a Factory Default Reset on the Express to clear out all the old and conflicting settings, then reconfigure it again.
2) Change the DHCP range settings.
For example, if the Express is now set to provide IPs from say 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.200......change the setting to read something like 192.168.5.2 to 192.168.5.200.
2) will likely allow you to bypass 1). But, I would still recommend that you do 1) as it is always a good idea to start from scratch when you are making changes to a device on a network.
Tesserax will have other good ideas for you as well, I am sure.

Workbook is not getting saved in PDF format on website directory

I have an Excel workbook, which I am trying to save in Pdf file format on website directory at azure, and after creating pdf uploading it on azure blob storage. The code is working fine on local but on web server it is not uploading pdf on storage,

Based on your description, your pdf file is saved to server side, so if you try above code on your local, you could read the file, but, if host your application to azure, you need to get the file stream first, then upload from the stream. Please set
the breakpoint at: "byte[] file = System.IO.File.ReadAllBytes(filePath);" check this file variable.

Table entries not getting displayed in desired format

In my adobe layout I created a table . I used data format Align Right and align middle for the table entries. In the Output some entries of the table are not displaying in align right and align middle.

That is pretty to much information to help you.
You need to share your technical setting. How did you create the table? Subforms, Table-assistent... what are the values in? Format, what happens when you also pass more than 1 digit to the numbers in the first row, does it show up correct?
So please share more details and explain exact what you have tried to fix the issue. The community is able to help you, but not meant to suggest enaything you could have done.

Can not get time to set right.

I have changed the info in /etc/rc.conf to UTC and US/Eastern, also Tried America/New_york, either way, it is at 4:00 A.M. and the other computer in my house is at 9:00 A.M. If anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.

DATE type returned from function does not return the time component

Hi,
I'm dealing with a strange problem. I have a PL/SQL function (running on Oracle 8.1.4.7) which returns a DATE value. Like we all know the DATE datatype includes a date component and a time component.
The function I used for testing is like this:
FUNCTION ReturnDate return Date is
dReturn Date;

select sysdate into dReturn from dual;
return dReturn;
end ReturnDate;
When I call this function from .NET using ODP.NET the date value I get does not have the time component included only the day-month-year components.
This is a code-snippet that calls the function :

OracleDbType.Date,0,ParameterDirection.ReturnValue);

I use the OracleDbType.Date type which I think is the most logical choice, because the type in the Database is after all DATE.
However this does not include the time componet. But if I change the OracleDbType.Date to OracleDbType.TimeStamp I get the time component. I'm not happy with this "hack" because I'm not sure what will happen when we upgrade our version of the Database to Oracle 9i which uses the new TimeStamp datatype.
Is this a bug that the OracleDbType.Date does not include the time component??

How do you examine the output Date value?
If it is from the string, then the time components will
not show because the NLS_DATE format in the client
machine does not contain the time components.
In American, the Date format is 'DD-MON-RR' by default whereas, the TimeStamp format is 'DD-MON-RR HH.MI.SSXFF AM' by default.
Can you take a look at the time components from the OracleDate by accessing the time properties, eg. OracleDate.Hour, OracleDate.Minute..etc to see if the time values are there?

Server side function not get called after dispatching cairngorm event second time on same page

I am facing a urgent issue regarding cairngorm event. Actually my page contain 3 button add,delete,save
and clicking of any button I do the respected functionality. For ex:
I click the add button & on clicking of add button I fire a cairngorm evnt & after getting response from server side that the record is added
I displayed a message that the record is added & update the data source.
After addition of the record , with out going to other page if I perform the same functionaly(Like adding another record) on same page the cairngorm
event not call the server side function - after debugging I find out that cairngorm event reach to the corresponding excutecommand function & called that function but it is not calling my server side function & I also din't get any error message .
I dont know why the server side function not get called?. similarly if I try for delete or update case the same things happend. Only for the first time it works properly but not for the second time.
Could any of you please tell me why the cairngorm event not calling the server side function.

Okay, well I think I've worked out the problem.
In ASP.NET we would typically bind repeating controls such as DataLists and Repeaters manually using <i>Control</i>.DataBind(), because we're usually using a separate class library containing collections for our objects. Seems the SAP Table control doesn't like this approach.
I changed the code so that the databinding is specified on the control, and call the Page's DataBind() method and it all worked fine.
One tip: because the collection I used to bind to is in a separate class library, I receieved a <i>BC306523: Reference required to assembly MyAssemblyName...</i> message, even though I had a reference to the assembly in my project and the DLL is being properly deployed. To fix this, you must include the following directive at the top of the component's ASCX file:
<%@ Assembly Name="AssemblyName" %>

Once you have the drive connected to your Mac, click System Preferences (gear icon) on the dock
Click Time Machine
Click Options
Be default, the hard drive will be Excluded from backups. Click the drive to highlight it, then click the "-" (minus) button at the bottom of the list to remove the drive from Excluded items.
The drive will be backed up on the next Time Machine pass
Everything above assumes that the hard drive has been formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) as Time Machine will only backup drives in that format.
