Discounts on substitute material

Hi, I have a process that uses SD_SALESDOCUMENT_CREATE to create the sales documents on background (there are too many of them), and now I need to activate the use of substitute materials, but the substitutes are not taking the conditions entered for the original material.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

Hi Robert,
I have not worked on the scenario what you have mentioned like create using backgroung etc.
But I have worked on Material Determination as per what I have seen system will only replace the original material with a substitute material but will pick up the price of the substitute material only and for this the condtion record needs to be maintained for teh substitute material as well.
Reward if it helps

  • Purpose of Cash Discount field in Material Master

what is the purpose of Cash Discount field in Material Master. what does it control. do it link to SKTO anywhere?
    please explain

    Hi,
Cash discount is applicable for this material or not..
    This is for Sales only..
Pricing Procedure (RVAA01) and if you activate SKTV and SKTO Condition types
Cash Discount can calculate before tax or after tax
Condition Type- SKTV(Statistical Condition Type)---If you check requirement is "14" which says Discount before Tax( This will calculate from the Filed Material master "Cash Discount Indicator" ie "SKTOF"
    Condition Type-SKTO-(Statistical Condition Type)--
    >Requirement "9" Discount After tax - here also it will consider filed "SKTOF" ie "Cash discount indicator in material master.

  • Avoid substitute material.., while creating sales order with BAPI?

    Hi experts.
I use BAPI_SALESDOCU_CREATEFROMDATA1 function module to create a sales order.
Material A has a substitute material B with substitute reason 0005.
So if I use material A when creating sales order with above BAPI function, the order is created with material B.
I don't want to substitute the material automatically. I want to create the sales order with material A.
What should I do? Help me please.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi bvrn Reddy,
I know, your message is almost two years old, but, did you find a solution? I'm facing the same problem. The material A has B as substitute, but in va01 a popup appears (its customizing inside the substitution reason, strategy = A). Of course, we have no popup inside the bapi, but there must be a way to decide which material the bapi should use. At the moment I only get the substitute, never the old mat (even there is something in stock).
Maybe you've got a helpful hint for me, thanks!

  • Substitute material

Can u please tell me equivalent field of
    smatn - substitute material (R/3 field) &
knumh - condition record number (R/3 field)
in CRM. I also need a table name which contains both fields in CRM

    Dear,
In MRP-4 view, you need to select the Discontinuation indicator, effective out date and the follow up material. and in BOM assign the it same than take MRP run and check.
In the BOM, line item 10 is your (old)discontinued material.
Enter in line item 20, your follow up material.
    Step1.
    Double click line item 10.
    Make discontinuation indicator tick.
    Discontinuation group - PP(for example)
    Save.
    Step2.
    Double click line item 20.
    Make discontinuation indicator tick.
    Follow up group - PP
    Save.
Result: If the line item 10 is shortage, line item 20 will be select.

  • Weight will be lost in substitute material

The net weight & cross weight are missing for the substitute material when I create a material determination order.
I set material-B as a substitute material of material-A, and the "Reason for material substitution" is 0004 (Automatic production selection). Net weight and cross weight both maintain in material-A ans material-B master data. When I create a sales order (OR), the material-A item category is TAX and material-B item category is TAPS, but the weight field is zero in material-B and the also can not be changed.
Why the weight will be lost in substitute material-B?  Then I changed the "Reason for material substitution" to 0005 (manually production selection).  The material-B subsituted material-A, but the weight of material-B is not missing.

Some more information might give some clue. For example, what type of files are these? are they media fiels? are they files created and saved by you from applications like word, excel etc? Does this happen in any particular folder like in documents folder or other location? When you try to see them in finder how do you go about it? you start from the sidebar? more info, or a step by step of a specific instance would help how you end up 'losing' them. Cheers.

  • Returns of a substituted Material

    Hi SAP Gurus

Now my problem is that when I try and create Returns order it wants to return Part A . This is wrong it must return Part B . I get an information message that reads u201D Item category for item 000040 cannot be determinedu201D .I have checked my item category determination and to me it looks fine and have changed a couple of things on Copy control any idea where I can keep looking?
    Thanks and Regards

Have you done your item category determination for Usages PSHP and PSEL since these two are the system defined usages in Substitution.

  • Difficult question? - 2 substitute material number for 1 real material??

    Hi Experts
In our company, for some specail requirement,we want to have two material numbers for one real
material, that means this two materials are substitute for each other. In every transaction, we can
use this both two material numbers.
For example, material number "A123 " and "B456" , these two material numbers are for one real
material, In evevry transaction we can use "A123 " or "B456".For exmaple ,we can create and release
a production order to produce"A123",and when doing goods receive for this produciton order with
MB31,we could use"B456" for the same production order. And also when we view the stock for "A123" in SAP,we could get the the sum stock of "A123" and "B456".
Is it possible in SAP?How to achieve it?
    Thanks for any reply!
Edited by: Fei Liu on Apr 29, 2009 12:22 PM

    Hi,
In standard SAP it is not possible, You have only two options,
    1. Maintain Single material and use split valuation.
    2. Maintain two different materials and do material to material transfe as and when required.

  • Discount on 3rd material ordered?

When you order for three materials A,B and C, the customer requirement is
that - provide 15% discount on the 3rd material ordered(that is material C).
    How is the configuration done?
    Kindly do the needful.
    Thanks,
    Deepak

    Hi,
    For this no directly solution,
But you can put it maually at header level.
V/06 >>> Select discount condition & go to details >>> tickmark to HEADER CONDITION.
At the time of order processing maintain discount at header level,if customer purchase third material.it means it is apply nfor whole document.

  • Cash discount at material master

    Hi
can some one explain me in detail on the significance of the CASH DISCOUNT radio button available in the material master(sales org data view). what will happen if this is selected & if this is not selected, will this selection have any impact on discount related condition records.
    Thanks & Regards
    ilango

    Hi ilango,
Cash Discount Indicator in Material Master if you activate "Specifies Whether this Material is Qualifies for Cash Discount"
If we check in Pricing Procedure (RVAA01) and if you activate SKTV and SKTO Condition types
It says whether Cash Discount can calculate before tax or after tax
Condition Type- SKTV(Statistical Condition Type)---If you check requirement is "14" which says Discount before Tax( This will calculate from the Filed  Material master "Cash Discount Indicator"  ie "SKTOF"
    Condition Type-SKTO-(Statistical Condition Type)--
    >Requirement "9" Discount After tax - here also it will consider filed "SKTOF" ie "Cash discount indicator in material master.

  • Material not pulling discount in webshop

    Hello Team
    Warm Greeting to all.
I'm facing one problem with particular 1 customer's sales order. Every time this particular customer places the order, the material is not pulling the discount. for this material we have agreement discount.
As per my analysis the condition record which is responsible for discount, is missing for the particular material.
If any other reason can be there please share with me and please let me know what is the object type to download the condition record.
    BLR

A pricing analysis could help you find the problem.
In CRM Web Internet Sales application:
In the XCM configuration settings of Component, "UI" , specify the value of parameter "enable.priceAnalysis" as "true".
This will then add the "Pricing Analysis" icon next to the items - in catalog and basket.
    In CRM SAPGUI:
Set the user parameter (Tcode: SU3) PRC_TRACE to X.
This will enable the pricing trace on and in the order screen (tcode: CRMD_ORDER ). Here select the item (your material in trouble), navigate to the "Conditions" tab and then click the "Access" button.

  • Payment Term (include Material exclude Unplanned Freight)?

    Hi all,
The business has requested a Payment Term 0123 that can be used in MIRO to include a discount % on the material price but exclude the discount from the unplanned freight entered on the invoice.  They want a 10% discount on the material with no discount to be applied to the unplanned freight.  Can this be done or can it be separated out on the same invoice?
My feeling looking at configuration for Payment Terms is that the term is applied across the entire invoice price and cannot be separated out to exclude unplanned delivery charges...but I wanted to present to the group here to see others opinions.  Thanks.

It is best practice to have cash discount only be cash discount and not other discounts. A 10% discount makes no business sense. Anyway, the system will post cash discount based on the AP invoice field 'cash discount base' this field can be different than the total invoice amount (say, cash discount base could be 100 dollars when the total invoice amount is 110 with freight). There should be a standard condition record in the MM pricing schema that feeds into the AP 'cash discount base' amount. So, yes it can be done.

  • Free of cost material but the planned delivery cost is to be invoiced

    Hi,
We are having a scenario where in we receive material free of cost but have to pay for the delivery cost to the vendor.
We are creating Purchase order with the "free item" checked and we are maintaining the freight condition at the header level as at the item level as soon as you check the free item check box, the conditions tab disappears.
Secondly if we are maintaining planned delivery at the header level it requires the Invoice check box to be checked. Which is not possible to maintain with the free check box ticked.
Have maintained the vendor master without the GR based IV tick.
Request to kindly do let us know where have we missed out.
    Regards,
    mahesh.

one of the way out of this issue is
give a heavy discount on that material from vendor and put the price of material such as to do the frieght .but if u r having moving average price for that material thenit is not at all preffered

  • Material Determination - quantity check in sales order

    Hi everyone.
    Hope all is good.
I have a doubt in Material Determination.
If I need to substitute a product in Material Determination, how can I come to know whether the quantity of the replacement material that is replacing the substitute material is available or not.
I know while creating a delivery the system will show quantity not available.
However, how we can see the result while placing a order?
Because there can be a scenario the material which is replacing the different material, we might dont have their quantity also available. So, it will be a waste to create a order and then wait for the results in delivery.
    Another situation.
In MD process, what my client is looking for is
    Substitute Reason- Availability
If material X does not have quantity it should be replaced with Material Y.
However if Material X has quantity, then MD should not take place. No replacement should happen.
The reason is there is a huge in and out of stock every now and then.
Do both the scenarios can be worked out in standard SAP?
    Please suggest.

    Hi Joan,
Thank you for the reply. I understood the subsitute reason.
But my question is We have substituted Y for X.
Now what I am asking is what if Y is also not available. Can in the order itself we can come to know whether quantity of Y is available or not instead of delivery.
Second if the subsitute reason is "quantity not available"- not in front of the system so not sure about the code. Same Y for X and now if quanity for X is available the material should not be susbtituted.
Please correct if I am wrong.
    Regards

  • On Net value: Discount Condition Type

    Hi,
I would like to know whether the below requirement can be fulfilled with the standard SD configuration.
As far as I know all discount condition types calculates on Gross value. But I have a discount condition type (lets say 123 = Special Discount) which should calculate based on Net value. I can create a step after Netvalue but the problem I see is, how the system calculates Output tax
    eg.
    10 PR00
    20 ABC  (Customer discount)
    30 XYZ  (Material discount)
    40 Discount Sum
    50 Net Value
    60 123 (Special Discount)
    70 MWST (output tax)
So if I place discount type 123 after Net value, I think it will calculate on net value, but the problem might come with MWST as it cant calculates on Netvalue but on 123. Am I right?  I knew it can be done with the ABAPer help. But I would like to know whether it can be done with standard (alrady predefined) SAP configuration. (by assigning any routine or some settings in Pricing procedure determination in V/08 ???)
    Thank you.

    Hi santosh
Sub total will the PR00 - Discount sum
Net price will be Sub total - Special discount
how do I mention that sub total will be PR00 - Discount. I configure like this
    10 PR00
    20 ABC (Customer discount)
    30 XYZ (Material discount)
    40 Discount Sum                      from20    to39
    50 Sub total
    60 123 (Special Discount)
    70 Net price
    80 MWST (output tax)
    90 Total
when I indicate from 20 to 39 besides Discount Sum, system will sum the discounts between step 20 to 39. How do I write at sub total like this, so that system will deduct the discount sum from PR00. Similary how do I write Sub total - Special discount.
Could you please explain bit more detail.
    Thank you.
