    Has anyone come accross this error before when scheduling a workbook thru the Scheduling Manager in Discoverer Plus 10gR2?
    "Exceeded maximum query size". All worksheets run to a sucessful completion when you run them one at a time.

  • Error message "Error when scheduling the query(JOB_CLOSE)".

    Hi all,
    While using query extractor (rscrm_bapi) I am getting error message "Error when scheduling the query(JOB_CLOSE)".
    Could you please find what this error is?
    Thanks,
    Uday.

    Hi Uday,
    This problem can occur if you changed the query definition.
    In this case the query definition would be inconsistent with the existing extract structure.
    Certain Meta information is maintained with each extract defined using the RSCRM_BAPI. If the definition of the query is changed and you need to use the same extract table then you need to delete the extract using the report RSCRMBW_DEL_ALL_EXTRACTS selecting the extract you want
    to delete.
    After this you could use the same table name for any further extract that you need to create.
    One caution is that the extract table should not be deleted through any other transaction before you run the report.
    Rgds,
    Colum

  • ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using Data Services

    Hello,
    we are facing ORA-00054 error when loading Oracle table using BO Data services
    (Oracle 10g database, BODS Xi 3.2 SP3)
    Test Job performs
    1- truncate table
    2- load table (tested in standard and bulk load modes)
    Scenario when issue happens is:
    1- Run loading Job
    2- Job end in error for any Oracle data base error
    3- When re-running the same Job, Job fails with following error
         ORA-00054: resource busy and acquire with NOWAIT specified
    It seems after first failure, Oracle session for loading the table stays active and locks the table.
    To be able to rerun the Job, we are forced need to kill Oracle session manually to be able to run the Job again.
    Expected behaviour would be : on error rollback modifications made on table and BODS stops Oracle session in a clean way.
    Can somebody tell me / or point me to any BODS best practice about Oracle error handling to prevent such case?
    Thanks in advance
    Paul-Marie

    the ora-0054 can occure depending how the job failed before. If this occures you will need the DBA to release the lock on the table in question
    Or
           AL_Engine.exe on The server it creates the Lock. Need to Kill Them. Or stop it..
    This Problem Occurs when we select The Bulkloading Option in orclae  We also faced the same issue,Our admin has Killed the session. Then everything alright.

    yes you should read the administration documents,
    go to CMC, find "servers"
    then  "destination job server"
    then click the "destination " tab
    you will find some parameters, you have to configure it you.
    the same scenario will be done to the "web intelligence job server"

  • DB Version Error when install SOA Suite using with DB 10G 10.2.0.1

    Hi,
    I am trying to install SOA Suite 10.1.3.1.0 in Windows XP environment where an Oracle 10g database 10.2.0.1 is pre-installed. When I try to use Advanced Installation, the system says that my database version should be 10.2.0.2 or higher. I couldn't find any 10.2.0.2 version or higher for Windows XP on Oracle download site. There is only 10.2.0.3 for Windows Vista. Anyone knows whether there is a workaround?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jeff

    Hi, I met this problem some weeks early. I wrote a conlusion about this:
    Update Oracle Database 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2 on Windows XP
    When I install Oracle SOA Suite 10g Release 3(10.1.3.x, soa_windows_x86_101310_disk1.zip download from http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/tech/soa/index.html), a error occured. Because the version of Oracle Database on my laptop is 10g Release 2 (10.2.0.1). Then I download the update patch p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip from metalink.oracle.com and install the database without installing the starter database and instance (orcl). After this, use p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip to updata Oracle Database 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.2 and then use DBCA to install a new database and instance (orcl).
    Summary:
    1. patch: p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip downloaded from metalink.oracle.com
    2. only install Oracle database software, don't install any database or instance
    3. use p4547817_10202_WINNT.zip to update the database software
    4. use DBCA to install a new database
    Question:
    1. how to update when there already exist data in database?
    2. Oracle database express edition isn't stabile enough? Because there are always some error appear during SOA Order Booking demo using.

  • Errors when scheduling scenarios for agents using load balancing

    Hi,
    I have set up my ODI environment and have successfully manged to:
    * run scenarios manually in development repository
    * schedule scenarios and run on execution repository with one agent.
    However when I try to set up a second agent to load balance the scenarios I get the following error below.
    It seems to be a load balancing problem because I can run the scenario's successfully in every other case.
    I am running an oracle RAC database. (2 servers, one oracle instance on each). I have set up one ODI agent on each server and I am trying to load balance between these 2 agents.
    In topology I have set up 1 logical agent. Physical agent 1 is linked to itself and also to Physical Agent 2 under the load balancing tab.
    For my scenario's I have 2 master scenarios (which are the ones scheduled) that call a number of other scenarios in the correct order.
    Could anyone assist me please?
    Thanks,
    Matthew

    Hi,
    I'm wondering whether there may be a design flaw in the way our scenario's have been created / are executed.
    Currently we have x number of scenarios executed by a x master scenario.
    There are also y number of scenarios executed by a y master scenario.
    These master scenarios are the ones scheduled against the agent and they call the "sub-scenarios".
    We experience the above error when one of the "sub-scenarios" of a master scenario is executed on a different agent to where the master scenario is executed.
    Any help greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Matt

  • Error while scheduling a workbook

    Hello.
    I'm trying too schedule one of my wDiscoverer Workbook, but I meet a SQL error :
    +"ORA 04063 : package body MYUSER.EUL5_BATCH_USER" contain errors.+
    PL/SQL : uni program called "MYUSER.EUL5_BATCH_USER" doesn't exists
    I searched on the forum, and I found this workaround :
    Error when trying to schedule a workbook
    So I granted select on my user, but it didn't work better since.
    Is there another solution ?
    Thanks for help !
    PS : I'm on Discoverer Desktop

    Hi,
    You need the follow database object priviliges:
    GRANT SELECT ON v$PARAMETER TO MYUSER;
    GRANT EXECUTE ON DBMS_SQL TO MYUSER;
    GRANT EXECUTE ON DBMS_JOB TO MYUSER;
    Alternatively, you could grant the following system privileges:
    GRANT CREATE PROCEDURE TO MYUSER;
    GRANT CREATE TABLE TO MYUSER;
    GRANT SELECT ANY TABLE TO MYUSER;
    GRANT CREATE SESSION TO MYUSER;
    GRANT CREATE VIEW TO MYUSER;
    GRANT EXECUTE ANY PROCEDURE TO MYUSER;
    GRANT SELECT ANY DICTIONARY TO MYUSER;

  • Schedule a Workbook using PL/SQL Function.

    Hi,
    Trying to schedule a workbook which uses a PL/SQL function(the function inserts some values to a custom table).
    Workbook when run in desktop works fine and am able to see the results. but when run as a scheduled workbook it results with an error: Single query returns multiple rows.
    Any Ideas to get around this problem...
    Thanks!
    Nani.

    There could be a multitude of problems. Somewhere, the PL/SQL is selecting data using a SELECT ... INTO ... FROM type construct. Problem is that multiple records are being returned, and the code wants a cursor or some other mechanism.
    Look at the places where the PL/SQL is selecting data, and make sure that only 1 row is being returned. The PL/SQL code may need to be modified to purge data before or after to ensure subsequent runs will not be a problem. There could also be a commit statement out of place that isn't committing a deletion, or is preventing a rollback.
    With the way the workbook is scheduled, the PL/SQL could get called multiple times, but this seems unlikely as it works fine in desktop.
