zaheerHi,
you can use the SQLCMD tool:

You have to have the SQL Server tools installed on the box, to get sqlcmd.
You then can connect with SQL authentication
sqlcmd -S <Servername\Instancename> -U user -P password
or with windows authentication
sqlcmd -S <Servername\Instancename> -E

Borland C++ Delphi application is not able to connect to SQL Server as Non Admin user
Hi,
I am working on a Borland C++ and Delphi application. This application connects to SQL Server and returns database queries results. Once we migrated to windows Server 2003 we have started facing an issue.
1. IF we login to client application as admin user then this connects properly with SQL Server and returns database queries. But if we connect using Non- Admin users then application is not able to connect SQL Server.
SQL Server 2008
Windows Server 2003.
Can anybody help on this.
Thanks in Advance.
RakeshThis application is written in Borland C++ and Delphi running on Windows 2003 Server. This is a Windows GUI based small tool. Basic functionality of the tool is : 1) Once we invoke the tool it connects to DB(SQL Server 2005) and populates a list of
all the tables present in DB. 2) If we select any table from the list populated in step (1) and provide query parameters, this will return results from Database.
Issue: IF we login to the Windows machine as Administrator this application runs perfectly .This application populates the DB tables correctly and returns results from database when queries executed as in step (2)
But if we login as some other user (like hubapp) then this populates some different set of table which are not from the same database instance .Also the queries does not return any results. In the logs we get following error message : (TiltData is the instance
name for our Database)
Msg:Application Exception : Cannot locate or connect to SQL server.Unable to connect: SQL Server is unavailable or does not exist. Specified SQL
server not found.Alias:
TiltData1 occurred in main thread.
As for the connection string
'DATABASE NAME=tiltdata'
'SERVER NAME=SDV3'
'USER NAME=sa'
'OPEN MODE=READ ONLY'
'SCHEMA CACHE SIZE=8'
'BLOB EDIT LOGGING='
'LANGDRIVER='

'NATIONAL LANG NAME='
'ENABLE BCD=FALSE'
'TDS PACKET SIZE=65535'

Any help is appreciated. I have spent a lot of time on this issue with no results.

Not able to connect with Oracle server through VBScript without DSN
Hi
I have both Oracle9i and Oracle10g clients installed with local system.
I am able to connect to Oracle Database 11g Enterprise edition server though sqlplus through command prompt and also through AQT without any error.
As the server has lots of database ,whenever I connect to a particular database through sqlplus from command prompt,I connect as below
C:>sqlplus username/password@service_name
and it gets connected without any error.
When I am trying to connect the same database through VB Script,I am getting ORA-12560 TNS:Protocol Adaptor Error.
Below is the connection string I am using:
Database_String = "SERVER=xxxx.vvvn.Com;Driver={Oracle in OraHome92};DATABASE=service_name;user id=userid; password=passowrd"
I have installed a Oracle10g server in my local system and tried to connect the same way and I was successfully ,but its not working when the server is running remotely.
Does it make any difference with the version of driver being used ?Should I need to modify my connection string anyway.
Please help me as to identify the issue.Thank you very much in advance.

Datareader is not able to connect with database-Urgent
Hi All,
All of a sudden the Datareader component in my ML experiment is not able to connect with database with the following error:
[ModuleOutput] DllModuleHost Error: 1 : Program::Main encountered fatal exception: Microsoft.Analytics.Exceptions.ErrorMapping+ModuleException: Error 0000: Internal error ---> System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> System.ArgumentException: The value's length for key 'password' exceeds it's limit of '128'.
Module finished after a runtime of 00:00:00.2031339 with exit code -2
Module failed due to negative exit code of -2
It complains about the password being long-but the same credentials I have been using for the last 2 months and still able to use it to run sql queries on that same database using the management portal.
It appears that Azure encrypts the password and that encrypted password is too long...just my guess after looking that the output.Inside Ml it just says as internal error
Would appreciate if someone can point to the issue at the earliest...(There is a demo early next week)

BiswajitHi,
Please check this url:
https://studio.azureml.net/Home/ViewWorkspace/bc85d4f81d2246c4b1430eb395229a3a?&hashSeg=#Workspaces/Experiments/Experiment/bc85d4f81d2246c4b1430eb395229a3a.f-id.11776ae4400f4c1aa9f58308c30810fa/ViewExperiment
which is an experiment which I created doing save as of the experiment in which the data reader works.
I stripped everything except the data reader and setup the rest of the components...I finally have to write the results back ,so also pulled a Writer component.
Now,the data reader works fine..but the Writer fails:
Error 0071: Incorrect username "acnadmin" or password is passed
Strangely, its the same credentials set in the DataReader.
Looks like all the DataInput/Output components created recently only have the problem.
Once again, while the datareader in this case passes the password in plain text, the writer encrypts, hence fails. -

Are yo trying to pair via an app that supports BT pairing? If you are I would try:
- Resetting the iPod:
Reset iPod touch: Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home
button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
-Resetting network settings on the iPod: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings -
Not able to connect with iTunes
its has been 6 days already and i am not able to connect with itunes to purchase something.
i have used visa and mastercard and i also have money credited to my account.
please help!Hello FoxyNix
Check out the steps below to troubleshoot you issue with connecting to the iTunes Store on your iPhone
Can't connect to the iTunes Store
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1368
Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time. Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular. Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.
Make sure that other devices (portable computers, for example) are able to connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
Try resetting (turning off and then on again) your Wi-Fi router.
If the issue persists, try troubleshooting your Wi-Fi networks and connections.

I am not able to connect with Itunes Match. I constantly receive the message error 4010
I am not able to connect with Itunes Match. I constantly receive the error 4010.
I can run the general "Update iTunes Match" from the menu but cannot add individual tracks by right-clicking (control-clicking) on them the way I usually do. Then I get the 4010 error message.
Based on other posts here, I can assume the problem is not just me. -
