  • Problem in abap web dynpro URL issue

    Hello All,
    I have created a web dynpro for calling different tables with F4 help dynamically through ALV webdynpro, I can update, delete/insert row in ALV for multiple tables with one webdynpro program.
    Now problem is user wants to create url for different tables and keep it in the portal using with this webdynpro program like that i need to create more than 20' url's and keep it in portal with current created web dynpro program.
    Could please provide any solution for this issue.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    Sri

    You could try passing the table name as a URL parameter.
    i.e.
    http://<server>:<port>/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/<app_name>?table=MARA
    This can be read in your WD application and use it to determine the table to display.  There is a heap of content out there on the internet that explains how to do this.

  • Web Dynpro URL-Invocation with umlauts (like %FC) in the url

    Hi
    My Web Dynpro Application is invoked by an url with a parameter "H_name", e. g.: http://:/webdynpro/dispatcher/../myApp?H_name=SomeName.
    If the parameter H_name equals Müller, the Web Dynpro view will display it as M?ller, which is of course not what I want.
    I tried to use the following code snippet:
    IWDProtocolAdapter adapter= WDProtocolAdapter.getProtocolAdapter();
    String name= adapter.getRequestObject().getParameter("H_name");
    ..but the "ü" is still missing.
    What can I do???? Do I have to configure URL decoding somewhere?
    Please help me with this issue!
    Thanks a lot in advance
    Kind regards
    Bettina

    Hi  Ayyapparaj
    thanks for your help. In class URLEncoder it says:
    static String encode(String s, String enc)
              Translates a string into application/x-www-form-urlencoded format using a specific encoding scheme.
    What kind of encoding format should I choose?
    I tried:
                   String name_decoded= URLDecoder.decode(H_name, "UTF-8");
                   System.out.println("name decoded " + name_decoded);
    ..but it's not working. Do you have an example?
    Kind regards

  • Web dynpro URL in external Portal

    Hi Friends,
    when I call the web dynpro in portal iview the url is.
    http://server:8002/sap/bc/webdynpro/sap/zfind_material like the application server
    in the intranet.
    But when I call from external this URL does not work.
    How can I adapt the URL for external use?
    Thanks for you help.

    Edited by: jimbob on Feb 4, 2010 10:52 PM

    Hi,
    Yes that's right. Externally you cannot resolve the internal server host name. You will need to setup a secure reverse proxy that does URL rewriting in order to turn an external URL into the internal one after you have navigated the firewall and proxy. Check on SDN for information about implementing an external portal. There is a lot of information that should help you.

  • Web dynpro URL not working in user's UWL

    Hi,
    I am not sure if this is the right place for this question. I have created a web dynpro application and copied the URL and we put this URL in the UWL of a user using workflow, now the issue is when a user click on that URL on the portal side it's not doing anything but when I go r/3 side and click on the URL in my inbox I can see my web dynpro application running.
    Any idea why is this happening.
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Hi,
    Have you checked the proxy settings in server? If yes use this code
    URL u = new URL("http://download.finance.yahoo.com/d/quotes.rss?s=gm&d=t&f=l1t1c1");
    System.getProperties().put("proxySet", "true");
    System.getProperties().put("proxyHost", <HTTP Proxy Host> );
    System.getProperties().put("proxyPort", <HTTP Proxy Port> );
    InputStream is = u.openStream();
    DataInputStream dis = new DataInputStream(new BufferedInputStream(is));
    You can check the proxy settings in System Administration - >System Configuration -> Service Configuration -> Applciations ->com.sap.portal.ivs.httpservice -> Services -proxy.

  • Web Dynpro Exception: Dispatcher Exception

    FYI, EP 7.0 SP 12, NWDS 7.0.11, jdk 1.4.2_14

    Hi,
    I faced a similar problem and ended up uninstalling and reinstalling Netweaver Developer Studio many times to no avail.
    But then I tried this, try keeping your folder names small so that the path to your Web Dynpro project does not exceed 256 characters. This is mentioned in the installation guidelines.
    My workspace path before was quite long as I was on a computer used by multiple users. So I changed the path to something as simple as C:\Projects
    It worked for me. Hope it helps.

  • Adobe: ActiveX vs Native in web dynpro

    Hello,
    has there recently (the last week or so) been an update on Adobe Reader or windows xp that makes the adobe forms not work anymore with web dynpro?
    Last week i had a simple form (activeX) in my web dynpro that was working fine. The form had two buttons (activeX), and on clicking the button they set a context attribute to BUTTONONE or BUTTONTWO and then they fire the webdynpro event; In my web dynpro i then check if the context attribute is BUTTONONE or BUTTONTWO and take an action depending on the button clicked. This was working fine, but now it doesnt work anymore.
    When i change the buttons to native buttons and change the uielement of adobe to native in my developer studio, it is working again..
    Why doesnt the activeX work anymore? The activeX buttons dont even fire an event in my webdynpro. All is configured correctly, because it worked before.
    Another thing that doesnt work is the following. Binding the adobe form to the context and then an inputvalue on the form. Setting the value in webdynpro passes the value to the form, but changing the value in theform, doesnt pass the value to web dynpro, so webdynpro still has it's old value in the context.
    I hope someone knows why simple things are not working.
    Kind regards,
    J.

    Hi Joren,
    Usually this is due to missing or something wrong with the ACF. I suggest to first check in your Windows Control Panel to see if the ACF is installed. If it is there but somehow still doesn't work, try to uninstall it and install the ACF again (make sure to install the ACF which is for your NW release and SP, refer to note 766191 for detail).
    BTW, native forms should be the way going forward to. Perhaps you should actually stay with native forms unless you have special reasons to use activex forms.
    Regards,
    Marc

    Hi,
    Web Dynpro is the SAP programming model for user interfaces (UIs).
    It provides a programming framework within which you can achieve a:
    u2022 Clear separation of business logic and display logic
    u2022 An application specification that is both:
    Client neutral and
    Backend neutral
    It consists of a runtime environment and a graphical development environment with special Web-Dynpro tools that are integrated in the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
    The Web Dynpro technology provides a development and runtime environment for Web applications and enhances classical Web development to build easily adaptable user interfaces. SAP's Web Dyn-pro technology closes significant gaps between typical Web development tools and the needs of cost-effective, responsive, easy-to-use, maintainable, and professional browser-based user interfaces for business solutions. Web Dynpro uses design principles similar to SAP's Dynpro technology, but it is a completely new technology geared exclusively towards Web applications. Its main features include the following:
    u2022 Usability
    u2022 Abstract modelling
    u2022 Personalization and customization
    u2022 Separation of presentation layers and business logic
    u2022 Generic services
    u2022 Portability
    Web Dynpro applications run in the SAP Enterprise Portal.
    See https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/nw-ui for more information.

  • Ajax/Javascript in Web dynpro ABAP

    Hi,
    I need your help in figuring out what artefacts of web dynpro ABAP could help me resolve a problem.
    In a Web dynpro abap application, we have a button that redirects a user to an external site. Some of our users can go to this site from their computer and some others can't because they are not allowed. I would like to be able to show the button only to the users that have the right to execute this navigation.
    In order to do that, I need to embed some script in my web dynpro application that will test if the URL of this application sends back an HTTP/200.
    With the latest versions of Web Dynpro ABAP, is it possible to embed javascript of ajax? How can it be done?
    If not, what could I use to base the visibility of my button on a validation that has to run on the users's browser?
    Thank you very much for your help!
    Renaud

    Another way it could be done creating a custom ztransaction (abap report) performing a PING to the ip server , reading log txt,  saving if the user is authorized or not , and redirecting to the Abap Web Dynpro.
    Then On wddoinit select zztable for authorization.
    But i don't know if this solution will work for you (ping specific port 80? or other requirements)

  • How to read data from ITS to Web Dynpro

    Dear Experts ,
    I have requirement where User clicks on specific Shopping cart .On click of it
    Web Dynpro Application containing Shopping cart details should open .
    Can any one please tell me how can I do so ? If I can pass some data appended to my web Dynpro URL , How can I read URL ? Is this correct way ? If possible please provide with sample code ?
    I feel there are other ways as well like memory id filling in ITS and reading it in Web dynpro ? Is that fair practice ?
    Point I want make is I need code to read Application URL .
    (eg. cl_wd_utilities->CONSTRUCT_WD_URL). How to use this ?
    Points will be awarded surely.
    Cheers
    Parry

    data  lo_cmp_api             TYPE REF TO if_wd_component,
              lo_window_manager      TYPE REF TO if_wd_window_manager,
              lo_ext_win             TYPE REF TO if_wd_window.
    CALL METHOD cl_wd_utilities=>construct_wd_url
       EXPORTING
          application_name = '<Your WD application name >'
       IMPORTING
          out_absolute_url = lv_root.
    This will give you the root URL , then you need append taht with teh parametres like following
    concatenate lv_root '?sap_boid=' lv_boid '&sap_publ=' ls_header-bid_type   into lv_root.
    and then you can fire an external window with the values
      lo_cmp_api = wd_comp_controller->wd_get_api( ).
      lo_window_manager = lo_cmp_api->get_window_manager( ).
      lo_ext_win = lo_window_manager->create_external_window(
                                       url = lv_root
                                       title = 'MyApplication' ).
    Thanks

  • Reverse proxy and Web Dynpro

    Hello everybody,
    We have a portal with some web dynpro iviews in it and we want to use a reverse proxy to block direct access to the web dynpro's. The problem we encounter is that we can not block the web dynpro URL's because then they also do not work in the portal. This is not acceptable for us.
    Has anyone encountered this problem or knows a solution?
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,
