Display a list with a green/red arrow

Question

Hello,
I'd like to query an external table and then populate a list of "Application Domains" with a Green UP arrow or a Red DOWN arrow
depending on the status in the external table.
Something like this
APP SERVER 1 <red down arrow>
APP SERVER 2 <green up arrow>
APP SERVER 3 <green up arrow>
As a bonus I'd like to force the refresh of the page every 30 seconds so that the page displays near real time current status.
Can someone give me some clues on how I might pull this off?

Hi Steve,
One way to do this is:
1) Upload your up & down arrow images into Shared Components > Images. You can either attach the images to a specific application or not depending on whether these images would be used for multiple applications. Whichever way you go, take note of what you chose for below.
2) Specify the query for your Application Domains report similar to this:
select domain_name,
       case when domain_status = 'UP' then '<img src="#APP_IMAGES#up_arrow.gif" alt="Domain is up" />'
            else '<img src="#APP_IMAGES#down_arrow.gif" alt="Domain is down" />'
            end status_image
from my_domainsUse APP_IMAGES if you attached your images to a specific application. Replace this with WORKSPACE_IMAGES if you didn't attach the images to a specific application.
For the refresh, there's a number of ways to do this - some better than others. One way is specifying a META tag in your page header (frowned upon by W3C):
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="30"/>Where content is set to the number of seconds between refreshes. Also Google "automatically refresh page" and you should see a number of alternatives.
