Display Availablity of stock while entering Sales Order

Dear All,
During the creation of sales order , while entering each material as a line item i want to display the available stock  for that material as an information.
please help.
Regards
Juby Peter

Hi there,
After entering the materials in the sales order, then availability check is automatically called by the system. It will display the availability options if the material stock is available. It will display the confirmed quantity & date. This info is available to whoever creates the order.
If you want this info to be passed as a message pop up then it requires custom developmenti in the MV45AFZZ prog, include that calls the availability check, You should code in such a way that the confirmed quantity & dates are popped up in the message.
Also in the SO, select the line item & press Display Availability. It will display the availability of confirmed quantity.

Sivanand

  • Item level remark while entering Sales order

I have entered a remark at item level while entering sales order. How will the user i.e production or quality department will come to know that there is a remark at the item level.
Now one has to go and check for each and every item for remark.
Can someone help me out from this.
    Thanks

The answer to your question is you use sales texts. This is done in IMG-SD-BF-Text determiantion
In customizing, you can specify which texts are to be used for internal purposes and which are to be used in the sales and distribution forms.

  • Problems in confirmation of material in stock while creating sales order

I am having some difficulty getting my head around stock availability when it comes to invoicing. When I check the stock levels of material in MM03 it seems I have 20 in stock, but when attempting to create a sales order for 10 I get the a  message that looks like I am only able to invoice a maximum of 5 units.
I am not sure if I am reading this right, this prompt does not appear each time I invoice, and I can not figure out what triggers it. I have happily invoiced lots of this same material number today, without any problems.
Can anyone throw some light on as to what could be the problem?

    Dear Christino
First check in MMBE for that material what stock is available under Unrestricted storage location.
Then go to VA02, input the sale order and execute.  There go to schedule line tab and see whether the ordered quantity is flowing in confirmed quantity also. If not, from top menu bar, click on Edit -- Item availability  so that the stock will be confirmed in sale order.
Now try to create delivery and see whether you are able to post the goods issue.
I believe you are doing delivery related invoicing only, as from your comments
getting my head around stock availability when it comes to invoicing
    I am confused

  • Problem with MB1C while creating sales order stock

    Hi all,
I am working  in MTO scenario. I have taken the requirements type as "KE" & assigned the requirements class "ABC". This "ABC" is copied from requirements class "40".
I have created a sales order with 1 line item and in MB1C when i create the stock, the system creates the stock for the sales order.
<b>Problem:</b> I start with creating the inquiry - quotation on the basis of inquiry - sales order on the basis of quotation. Now when i go to MB1C to create the sales order, I get the following error:
<b>"Account assignment cannot be carried out because of different origin no."</b>
    Message no. <b>V1134</b>
    <b>Diagnosis</b>
The sales document to which you want to refer is based on sales document 108 and item 000010. Therefore, the settlement and possibly inventory management are carried out using the number of the preceding document.
    <b>System Response</b>
    This entry is not allowed.
    <b>Procedure</b>
Enter the document and the item number of the preceding sales document.
Also if for the same sales order i run the <b>MRP</b> using <b>MD50</b>, then in the transaction code <b>MD04</b> - the system shows the reference of the <b>"inquiry document number"</b> for the production order. The production order should take the reference of the sales order number.
For the requirements class in the fields <b>"Acct Assgt Cat"</b> & <b>"Valuation"</b> i have selected <b>"M"</b>

  • Stock Reserve for customer while creating sales order

    Hi Gurus,
In our scenario,i want to reserve my stock  while saving the sales order for customer .when the next order will get placed for same article system should not be  allow to use commited stock for pending sales order which is not yet get pgi.
    _Scenario:-_
I raised order , say N0.20091076 with quantity 100 Boxes
I raised order , say N0.20091077 with quantity 50 boxes
Availability check was performed and system has confirmed the quantities as above for both the orders
Now i have gone to delivery and raised delivery for order N0. 20091077 ( OR.N0.20091076 --- 100 Boxes is still open).
but in the delivery i changed the quantity to 80 boxes instead of 50 as raised in the order N0.20091077 , but system is allowing to do PGI for order N0. 20091077 with 80 boxes. ( This means order N0.20091076 which contains 100 boxes is having deficit now).
Can i controll this that if i raise the oder with certain quantity and a particular batch then the system should not allow this quantity to be used by other order in the delivery/PGI irrespective of the customer .
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sunil

    Hi
No need to do MB1B movement type 412 E
If  include sales requirements is ticked in OVZ9 for the checking group  in MMR and checking rule A (SD sales order) you cannot increase the qty in order 2
    Example
Material X stock is 10 units
order A is created first for 5 and order B is created second for another 5
Include sales requirements is ticked in OVZ9 for A (sd sales order) combination
Now if you try to deliver order B with 6 units system will throw error as only 5 units is available
If you try to deliver order A also with 6 units system will throw error as only 5 units is available
So stocks are reserved as per sales orders
I already suggested you to do this sales requirements ito be ticked in OVZ9 in my first post  but i thought it  may not be very effective for the scenario described by you
But on testing it is found to be very effective provided backorder processing and rescheduling is not carried out
For your account determination error you have to check OBYC settings and also in t code OMWD whether the valuation grouping code 0001 has been assigned to your plant
If this not done in then during PGI you will face the same error
In normal circumstances during PGI only material doc is generated and this error is expected at that time
Since you are making a hard reservation during MB1B itself you are facing it as this transaction generates material doc
If you have already done 412 E you can reverse the same with MB1B movement type 411E

  • Condition tab in display mode while creating sales order.

    Hi Guys,
When I go to create a sales order the condition tab shows all the condition types in grey, irrrespective of its being manual or mandatory. I know it has nothing to do with V/06 or standard pricing transactions. So I changes the item categry.Again used the same order type, same customer , same material and same sales area. Once I change the item category to Zxxx, Condition tab becomes changeable. So I concluded that item category is the culprit. But the question is Which part of item category is influencing it ?
    Please help.
    Regards,

    Hi Phani,
While creating sales order (VAO1), I go to item level and click on condition tab. I see all the things in this tab grayed. Nothing is changeable. I changed the item category, while the pricing procedure was same as the old one. Condition tab became changeable. So it has something to do with item category. But what is that one thing missing in my item category which is making condition tab grayed out..?

  • Error while creating sales order

while creating sales order for a particular plant there is error coming
NO NUMBER RANGE FOR DOC TYPE ZOS1VXBAK-AUARTSILD
    PLANTXVBAK-VKBUR.
Intailly I have check the no series we have internal no series for all plant, the
number series which start 195000001, only one plant the giving the above error, rest all plant it is as applicable above series.
kindly guide me for the same.

    Hi Sanjay
This is regarding number ranges defining and assigning tips which you can follow as below:
Whenever there is a new Sales Org being created, you will be required to maintain Number Ranges for Sales Documents which are allowed for your New Sales Area.
Number Ranges can be maintained Internally by the system, however it can be maintained externally also if you customize it accordingly.
In Standard SAP the Transaction code for Maintaiing Number ranges externally is VN01.
Defining - The same can be reached through in IMG as : Sales & Distribution>Sales>Sales Document Header-->Define Number Ranges for Sales Documents.
Here you provide the system a specific Number range as follows:
Number range Key Start Number range End Number Range+Current Number
For Example: If you want to propose the following Number Range
    *1     9000076000      9000076999      0
The Current Number field will be kept zero as you are proposing new number range and no sales documents have been created on it , Obviously..
*1 is a Unique Two digit Alphanumeric Key, while proposing your key, you should ensure that it should not be there in the system as existing.
If you propose a key that is there in the system or if the Number Range (Start and End Series) is there in the system already, the system will throw a message that Interval already already exists. So choose a key that is unique, and which is not there in the system.
Here , by making this , you are assigning a Key to a Number Range Series.
All the symbols can be used along with numbers from 0 to 9 and Alphabets from A to Z and in any order. For example: !1, ^A, BB,Z*,M2.........
Assigning - In Assigning, you assign the particular Sales Document to the Number Range you have already proposed as above.
The Assigning Part is done as follows:
The Two digit Alpha Numeric Key is maintained or Assigned to the respective Sales Document type in V0V8.
This can also be reached in IMG by:
Sales & Distribution>Sales>Sales Document Header-->Define Sales Document Types
Locate the particular Sales Doc Type, and double click on it to display it configuration. Here you put the Two Digit Number key in the Field- "Number range External Assignment"
    Besides this:
If a new Shipping Point is created then Delivery Number ranges are required to be maintained.
    Similarly,
If a new Plant is created then Billing Number Ranges are required to be maintained.

    Naren

  • Error while raising sales order

    Hi all,
I have created a make-to-order material with item category group and general item cetegory group 0001.
While raising sales order for that material (make-to-order) item category TAK.
I got a error stating that plant is not assigned to controlling area.
can anyone help me out in this regards.

    hi pavan,
pl check this on settlement rule :
The settlement rule consists of the sender and the settlement distribution rule which includes the settlement receiving accounts, distribution factor, settlement type, and validity period. You can change the settlement rule manually.
There are two possibilities for settling sales orders. You can either:
    Settle to a business segment
In this case, the settlement rule is determined automatically. You can only use this method of settlement if CO-PA is activated.
Settle to a general ledger account
In this case, you enter the settlement rule and the general ledger account number manually in the sales order.
To change the settlement rule, choose Edit ® Settlement rule.
For more detailed information about settlements and especially about processing settlement rules, see the CO Cost Object Controlling documentation.
Please consult your FI guy so that he can help you configure a settlement profile.

    hi,
can be done in two ways
1, only for the paticular customer
goto XD01 and extend the customer by entering new sales area above
and the already exisisting sales area in the reference
2,common distribution channel and common division(this is for all the customer created in that particular sales area)
