Display DHCP List of Connected Components
I guess I missed it somewhere, but how can I see a list of IP addresses of all connected devices?
Hmm, you got my curiosity going so I took a look at, whether or not, I could "lose" the "DHCP Clients" tab, so I tried various reconfigurations of my AEBSn, including reserving IPs by MAC addresses ... but I still get the tab. Not sure why you're not seeing it. Are you using the latest version (5.2.1) of the AirPort Utility?

MacBook display not listed when connected to external
Hi all,
I've only seen this happen twice and I cannot recall if the first time was with a MacBook or PowerBook G4 laptop.
After the computer wakes from sleep it the internal screen is not detected and does not appear in list on menu bar. It is resolved by choosing Detect Displays, but...
1) When and why does this happen?
2) If I had unattached the external while still asleep and then after wake the same thing could happen, the consequences are far worse as it would appear to have crashed. (This would answer problems other users have had regarding unexplained crashing.)
Anyone seen this before and able to shed some light on the problem?

WRT54G - won't display DHCP clients, won't let me change port forward
Just wondering if I need a new router....
It seems to never be able to display the DHCP clients table any more & when I try to forward a port to a connection, the table says it's forwarded, but it never actually changes it.
I upgraded the firmware to 8.00.7 (the latest for v8 hardware), did a hard reset and powered off to reset.
Still no luck....maybe it's just time for a new one?
Any suggestions welcome.

EricI just recently got the same issue in regards to the DHCP on my WRT610n. On windows XP a simple right click of the connection, and clicking repair forced windows to flush the DNS and renew them. After than the machine showed up in the DHCP list on the router again (I guess for some reason the leases suddenly stopped being renewed). Unfortunately this appears to of been removed in Windows Vista and been replaced by some kind of automated diagnose and repair system (If no problem is found it does nothing. Unhelpful).
However if you go to start > run > type "cmd" and enter to bring up the prompt, then type ipconfig /flushdns and then after it's complete type ipconfig /registerdns, that should force it to renew it's DNS from the router and it may show up in the DHCP table once more on the router. There's also a ipconfig /renew command that renews all adapters. If you wish to find out more about the ipconfig commands and what each of them does before doing anything, feel free to type ipconfig /?
Unfortunately I haven't found a way to get my router to keep renewing the leases as usual, so I guess this is just a temporary solution to part of your problem. As for the router going to the wrong IP, I was going to suggest DHCP reservation but I've just found out you don't have that, so instead I've found this quick thread that may / may not be helpful to you as it points out a few interesting rules that Linksys operates by: Click Here
As for the Port not forwarding, I'm not really sure, I'm just another user with issues of my own. I hope that one of the mods/staff/more knowledgable techi/person on this forum addresses your issues better than I have soon. Though isn't port 80 the default http port, and thus automatically open anyway? Can you even assign that port to anything? I thought it'd be reserved and thus not usable. Have you tried assigning a different port and forwarding that instead? But then again I'm not the most knowledgable of people =P -
How can I display a list of records from a JSP to my Midlet ??

I'm new in J2ME. I have been strugling with this problem for weeks now. All I find on the net is some theory and is not helping me much. Here the deal
I have created a Midlet that shoud display a certain list which is from the remote database. The list comes from a JSP file in the server. When I use the browser I can see the list.
The problem comes when I have to take the same list and output it in my midlet file. Then finding the selected index of the selecte item of the same list and using it somewhere else.
I would appreciate it if somone could help me !!

My iPad Mini with retina display suddenly will not connect to the Internet. It shows full wifi bars, yet no web pages will load. My Internet is working with all other apple devices in my house. The iPad also no longer works with celluar data. I'm not sure what has happened. It was working fine a few hours ago. I have tried resetting it, ive restarted my browser etc. I tried to erase all data from my Ipad but I can't do that because it needs to sign into my Apple ID and use the Internet!
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.
3. Change the channel on your wireless router (Auto or Channel 6 is best). Instructions at http://macintoshhowto.com/advanced/how-to-get-a-good-range-on-your-wireless-netw ork.html
4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are drooping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app

• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Note - When troubleshooting wifi connection problems, don't hold your iPad by hand. There have been a few reports that holding the iPad by hand, seems to attenuate the wifi signal.
Some Wi-Fi losses may stem from a problematic interaction between Wi-Fi and cellular data connections. Numerous users have found that turning off Cellular Data in Settings gets their Wi-Fi working again.
You may have many apps open which can possibly cause the slowdown and possibly the loss of wifi. In iOS 4-6 double tap your Home button & at the bottom of the screen you will see the icons of all open apps. Close those you are not using by pressing on an icon until all icons wiggle - then tap the minus sign. For iOS 7 users, there’s an easy way to see which apps are open in order to close them. By double-tapping the home button on your iPhone or iPad, the new multitasking feature in iOS 7 shows full page previews of all your open apps. Simply scroll horizontally to see all your apps, and close the apps with a simple flick towards the top of the screen.

Problems displaying Thai characters in FTE components on Mac
I had originally posted a question here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4027591, but was told that this is more of a flash runtime issue.
I am running into issues displaying Thai characters in Flex components that make use of the Flash Text Engine (FTE), specifically on Mac OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard.

My flex application originally had the following defined in its stylesheet:

Thai characters render correctly in mx components such as TextField so far. However, FTE components such as TextLine show those crappy-looking boxes as a substitution. My initial guess was that somehow one of the compiler font managers declared in flex-config.xml was not finding the right system font to fallback to for Thai characters. So, I ensured the system font was installed by going to System Preferences > Language and Text > Edit List. Then I changed fontFamily to Arial, Ayuthaya. Still was seeing the boxes of evil.
Next I figured that perhaps the Arial font might be assigning a box for each unicode value corresponding to a Thai character. So it was effectively overriding the Ayuthaya system font. So I changed fontFamily once more to just Ayuthaya and this worked with one issue - Ayuthaya looks inherently different from Arial for non-thai characters.
Here's my question - is there a less invasive way to support Thai in FTE components such that the appearance of the text is closer to the Arial font? I would rather not embed a font because I'm constrained on SWF size.
Oh and I'm using flash player 10.3 right now.OK, I asked the FTE team and got this reply: "Lucida Grande is CTS's fallback font for Thai. This font on OS 10.7 and 10.6 are not supporting Thai anymore. The version on 10.5 was supporting it." This means that it's our bug that we keep using Lucida Grande as fallback font even Apple dropped support Thai script with that font after 10.6. Unfortunately this bug was deferred from current development release (11.2) because of time constraint. If this support is critical for your business, can you open a bug in our public bugbase and ask as many vote as possible? In this way I may be able to convince internal team to fix this bug in next release.

I am running Airport Utility version 6.2 and the advanced tab seems to be gone. I have browsed the entire utility and cannot find any place where I can get a list of devices running off my airport extreme. I need to set up a device with a fixed address, but I want to know what all is already set up. Actually, I need to find out what the router thinks the name of the device is so I can set it up for headless operation.
Unfortunately, Apple dropped a number of features and logs in the "upgrade" to AirPort Utility 6.x, so a DHCP list is no longer displayed.
Check out the tips in this article to install AirPort Utility 5.6 on Mountain Lion, so you can get those features back using the Advanced tab:

WRT54GC Static DHCP listing issue
Hello:
I have the latest firmware installed (1.02.8) and I am running into an issue:
I currently have my WRT54GC to act as a DHCP server with 100 clients; I set each of my PC's to DHCP, but the WRT54GC will serve the same IP address to each PC ("Static DHCP"). I currently have seven MAC listed in the static DHCP list, but when I attempt to add another MAC and save the settings, it times out. This has happened consistently where it appears only seven MAC's are allowed. I can edit the existing seven without an issue, but adding any more PC's times out the router.
Any ideas? I have flashed the router a number of times to no effect.

Ok,first - try to delete 7-th MAC address and IP,then click "save settings"
When it finished with rebooting,connect and try to fill the 7-th MAC with IP Address.
It should work!!!
That happening,cou'se first you should free the MAC Lock in router's memory,reboot to free it and delete from memory,and then you can fill new MAC Lock function.

Urgent help needed: how to display a list of records on the screen

This is very urgent. Can anyone help me. I have posted this query of mine before also but still no reply came. My whole application is dependent on this problem. Actually I am developing an application for mobile phone using MIDP. I have a record store which contains personal details for users. I am able to add records to the record store. Now I want that these records can be edited. For this I want to display a list of firstname field on the screen (and not console) so that i can select a user to edit its details. Displaying the list of values in the Report
Hi All,
Is there any possibility to include the scrollable list on the face of report(Not in the left side i.e as input control)
For example If I have a country with different counties.
Based on the country selection in the block it should display the list of counties as scrollable list.
Would it be possible.

Have you tried applying the filter at the filter pane..i.e.
Click on the the show\hide filter pane (filter icon is present nearby the drill icon)
Now drag the required object on this pane.
It will create the dropdown filters on top of the report.

I recently reinstalled restored my Toshiba laptop with Windows 8 to factory condition. I reinstalled iTunes, and now when I try to play a movie, I get this error message: "To play (name of movie) you must have a PC with built-in display or have it connected to a display that has built in HDCP." This happens with both my downloaded movies and my iCloud movies. It never did this before. Any suggestions?
I have the exact same problem. I watched both AnchorMan 2 and The Hobbit Desolation of Smaug a week ago on my set up. BenQ monitor ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series Video card. No issues. Then I reformat and all of a sudden my purchased movies give me that error. It's so frustrating.
The odd part is for the Hobbit the itunes extras will start just like before, however I can't select a scene.
How is there no response to this? Are we missing something obivous? A default setting? Driver?

Items to display in list view web part not showing the items setup
Hi, I have the following issue. I have a list view web part, but the web part is showing more items that the ones setup in the: Number of items to display in list view web part for this view.
It is because that works when using datasheet view and not a normal view? Is there any technical documentation from Microsoft supporting this?thank you for your answer. It is interesting that the mobile view with the items to show in the mobile view doesn't work in the webpart, but it works when you are using datasheet view, but if you uncheck to activate the mobile view, then, the webpart doesn't
show information, so, it works partially because one part works and not the other. -

External Cinema Display looks fuzzy when connected to 24" iMac...
Hey
I have a new iMac (aluminum with black rim screen) and a new 23" Cinema Display. I have connected them both together and am using the Cinema Display in extended desktop mode as the main screen. The resolution is set to the maximum but all the icons and windows look slightly fuzzy. I have no idea why and at a dead end. Any advice would be much appreciated.Hi B Boy26
In the preference panel try setting the resoultion at 1920 x 1200 for the display, thats the (optimum resolution) for the 23"

Can 23" cinema HD Display support Game systems connectivity
I currently have my display connected to my MacBook but space is a factor at my dorm. Can I use my Apple 23" Cinema HD Display to connect my xbox 360? I bought a DVI to HDMI adapter but i get no picture. i also have a xbox VGA cable if i need to go that route. I figure digital to digital should give me a better picture, the an analog to digital. Can my 23" Cinema HD Display support game system connectivity or these older display were meant for Mac's Only?
followup question... Does the 23" cinema HD Display support HDCP? Could that be the cause for a blank screen. the power light is solid. I when to Display settings and lower resolution on the monitor, still no picture?
