Display document text in query instead of link to the document

Hi, gurus!
I'm on BW 3.10. I have a requirement from my customer that BEx web report should contain column with text of BPS document (not the link to it). How to display this text?

You may have to keep column description between HTML tags , that will create a link to BPS layout for each column.
try with trick , couple of online documents available " how to create HTML link on column description".

Display As Text (Saves State) as a Link in an updateable report

I'm running into an odd problem when attempting to use display as text(saves state) in a report as a link.
I have an updateable SQL report with the following columns in this order
1) A checkbox column
2) A column as a link using the Link Text attributes
3) A hidden column storing a key for use in the form
As I expected the checkbox is given a form name of f01 and the hidden column is f02
However, when I decide to switch the second column to be Display As Text (saves state) which also has the Link Text attributes set, so I can submit the value of that column in my form, something odd happens.
The checkbox is still submitted as f01. The hidden column becomes f03, however the Display As Text (saves state) value appears nowhere in the form. Neither does the text name="f02". It just stays as a link like it was before.
I'd really like to be able to submit the value without duplicating the column in the query(and making it a hidden value). Does anybody have any ideas about how I could do this?
Am I doing something horribly wrong? Has anybody else experienced this behavior?

Just to flush out my examples, and as a test for myself, I copied the "broken" example to a fourth page.
After copying the example page, I left the "display as" in "tabular form element" as 'Display As Text (saves state)' and deleted everything that was in the "Column Link" section (removing the link)
Once the link was removed, the Display As Text (saves state) behaved exactly as I would expect it to.

Firefox 3.0.15 displays all text in Serbian instead of English on my Mac OSX 10.4.11!

Today I upgraded my Firefox to the latest version Mac OSX 10.4.11 can support. It is Firefox 3.0.15 and now all text is coming out in Serbian Cyrillic language. It is impossible to work, to read anything and to browse. With the older version of Firefox everything was OK. How to get English language on my browser? I tried to change the language in Preferences but it is OK, it says it is only English there.

Whenever I save a bookmark, instead of linking to the page I wanted, it links it to a random url in my history.

Every time I try and save a bookmark, the bookmark I just saved sends me to a random URL from my history instead of the tab I saved it from.

How to display an alert message on click of link in tableview

Hi,
Following is the code for a tableview in layout section of a BSP( i have specified only one tableview column here). The requirement is to display an alert message on click of link in the first column that is "evbeg". Can anyone please help me how to achieve this? Appreciate quick response on this.

you have to code in the iterator for this.
in the render_cellstart method of the iterator you need to code.

Displaying colored text

Hi all,i want to display a text item in forms with color.If the value in this text item is negative,i want to display it in one color and if it's positive another color.Can someone suggest me how to achieve this.

Making a Display as Text (saves state) Item Element Bold

I have no clue how to do it - need to make the element (not the label) bold.

Cannot do, you must use Display as text (does not save state). If the item acquires its value during page rendering and you need to save that acquired value in session state, just use a hidden item to carry the value to the after-submit phase and use the text value only for rendering.

I noticed from my docs that the JAVA API methods are not linked. They are just static text. How can i link all the java api methods to a root url examble: java.sun.com/j2se/docs/javax/JFrame#pack()

Start by reading the section "Choosing between -linkoffline and -link"
Basically, try this option first:

If this fails (because your shell cannot access java.sun.com),
then copy package-list from java.sun.com to your current directory,

Notice that the second argument is a dot "." to indicate

You can print to the Adobe PDF printer, but that only creates links that Acrobat or Reader recognize as such. That is the reason for needing the entire URL on one line. It is not actually an embedded link, but one created by Acrobat on the fly. With OFFICE 2013 you have two choices: 1. create the PDF with the print to Adobe PDF and then add the links in Acrobat so that they are complete or 2. I think the WORD save as PDF or XPS will create the PDF with links, but not sure. If so, that would be the quickest solution for you, but be aware of potential problems with the MS plugin.
Of course, the third option is to upgrade to XI which can be done with AA 9. You will probably not be eligible for a for an upgrade to whatever the next version will be.

Display custom texts in a query

Hi All,
My requirement is like, i need to display custom texts of 2-3 lines below query header for a standard query.
These texts are static, cannot be changed in runtime.
Could anyone help me on how to acheive this, this can be either with Analyzer or with WAD.

Insert Rows below the QUery Heading. Enter your Comments.
Click "Save" button in Bex Tool bar. Selec the Option "Save as New Workbook".
Give permissions to the users to see the workbook.
In WAD
Open the HTML code of the Web report.You will find a tag for the Query Heading like this

Firefox page images do not display only text and links

New desktop (not this one) with windows 8.1 Pro, Firefox 29, Norton Internet security. When I go to many of the Firefox pages images do not display, only text and links. This is true for the "get add-ons" page. I can search for add-ons, but when I try to install one, the installation fails. Is there a security setting in windows or NIS that is blocking Firefox images and installations? The Firefox installation went smoothly without error. Other sites do not have this problem.

Wow! I never would have thought of that! My time settings were incorrect when I set up the PC, and I thought I set them. I did have the day, date, and time set correctly. But I did not have AM/PM set right. So, I was off by 12 hours. I corrected it and, voila, all works well.
I'm so happy now, because I can now get all the security extensions I've grown to love:

Display long text of characteristic in Query name

Hi All,
I have implemented RRI between my sender and receiver query.
When user will click on WBS Element in my sender query <b>the receiver query name will be the name of that WBS Element.</b>
After execution,I am able to see the Short text associated with Characteristic WBS ELement but<b> i want to display Long text of WBS Element in Receiver query name</b>.
I have tried to implement the same logic as suggested by Bhanu in following blog:

Why is my Macbook pro display text background yellow instead of white? This problem is intermitten and when it occurs the yellow tint flickers.

Same my Mac book pro problem please solved My MacBook Pro went to sleep mode (I used Energy Saver, let my MacBook Pro to sleep mode when inactive for 2 minutes). I rubbed TrackPad to let MacBook Pro awake. But I was shocked that my screen is mirrored (Look fourth photo). So I put MacBook Pro to sleep mode again and awake it, display appeared (Look fifth photo). So I turned off and turned on, display appeared (Look sixth photo). I turned off five times and turned on five times, display appear normal screen size.
I didn't use MacBook Pro for 2 days until today, I want install The Sims 3 World Adventure, Fast Lane Stuff and High-End Tech. I just turn on my MacBook Pro, display appeared (First to third photos). I tried same method as 22 June, but still never work as normal display. How can I fix it?

The issue here is that Iam able to loop at the <itab> table and get the long text for each of the records any, but Iam not able to display it on an infoset..
