  • PA30 Display Facsimiles Authorization Issue

    Dear All,
I am facing one authorization issue in PA30 Transaction. User trying to display the archived documents from PA30 > Extras > Display All Facsimiles, when user trying to execute he is facing the below authorization issue.
You have no authorization to display the facsimile
    Message no. PG424
I have analyzed this issue this is lack of infotype authorization, but I am not sure which infotype we have to give under P_ORGIN authorization object. SU53 not showing anything for infotype, it is showing  ' ' in infotype.
I checked the below SAP notes also.
1562091 - Display all facsimiles: Incorrect Message PG424/PG425
1990223 - HRFORMS : Can not view archived documents in PA20
373063 - Authoriztn for applicnts opticl archv does not work
User getting access If I maintained Star (*) or (' ') . Please help me to solve this issue.
    Thanks
    Kishore ch

    Hello,
You can check which Infotype your archived document is linked to in table V_T585O. A user will require read authorization for that infotype as well as an authorization for S_WFAR_OBJ for the document type. If I'm not mistaken you may even need S_TCODE or P_TCODE for transaction SDV.
Secondly, I would not advise you to rely only on SU53 data for authorization checks as it only shows the last failed authorization check. You'll get a better view on what's going on by using the system trace (ST01) or the authorization trace (STAUTHTRACE).
It seems a bit odd to me that assigning P_ORGIN with value ' ' for INFTY would solve the problem as that is the dummy value and should match with any other INFTY value your user has. Seeing as he/she has PA30 then I assume he/she will already have an authorization for P_ORGIN. Check the settings in V_T585O for the document type. Maybe someone made a mistake there and left the Infotype cell empty instead of "-".
    Good luck

    Hi Neelima,
    Have you tried T-code OAOH?
Put in PREL in Businens Object & the document type below...
The data is then retrievable via PA20 -> Extras > Display Facsimilies
Hope this answer helps you along

  • Object link with HR master

    Dear All,
Is it possible to object link HR master to DMS? If yes Plz explain me steps.I have requirement of attaching all employee related documents to that employe HR master. If this is not possible through object link, then plz let me know other possible ways.
    Regards
    Sham

You use ArchiveLink not DMS in HR. Big difference between the two is ArchiveLink does not allow for versioning.
Archivelink allows you to store documents against infotypes in HR and the authorisations follow those infotypes.
Tcodes to look at are OAC0 (content server for storage), OAC2 (doc type config), OAD5 (config doc type against HR object in SAP). The documents are stored used OAWD. You can find the documents by using OAOR or selecting the menu path EXRAS - Display Facsimile (for all documents) or Display Specific Facsimiles for documents related to that specific infotype.

  • Steps for Idoc to EDI Subsystem

    Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the steps that i have to worry about to send an idoc immediately to EDI Subsystem
I mean what all things i have to specify while creating ports and partner profiles etc
    Thanks

Sending Order Confirmations by EDI (SD-SLS)
    Use
By setting up and using the Electronic Data Interchange functions in the R/3 System, you eliminate the need to print documents and send them through the standard mail system. Instead, you send the information electronically. This method is more practical, convenient, and allows you and your customer to process data faster.
In this EDI scenario, you process and send order confirmations to a customer's R/3 Purchasing system.
    Prerequisites
    Application
    Customizing
To process outbound order confirmations, you need to make all of the necessary EDI settings in Customizing for Basis. You make settings for output control in Customizing for Sales and Distribution.
    Output Control
The standard SD condition components are:
    Condition component     Value
    Sales document type     AA
    Output determination procedure     V10000
    Condition type     BA00
    Transmission medium     6 (EDI)
    Access sequence     0001
Processing subroutine     Program RSNASTED, form routine EDI_PROCESSING
    Partner function     SP (sold-to party)
    Application     V1
Condition records for outbound order confirmations are maintained in Customizing for Sales and Distribution. Choose Basic Functions  Output Control  Output Determination  Output Determination Using the Condition Technique  Maintain Output Determination for Sales Documents.
    IDoc Interface
Define the EDI partner profile for your partner (transaction WE20) by entering the following data for the outbound parameters for partner profiles and the additional profiles for message control:
    Field     Value
    Message type     ORDRSP
    Partner type     KU (customer)
    Partner function     SP (sold-to party)
    Receiver port     e.g. SUBSYSTEM
Output mode     e.g. Transfer IDoc immediately
    Basic type     ORDERS04
    Process code     SD10
    Activities
Create an order. When you save the document, the system uses your settings in output control to find the appropriate condition record and send confirmation of the order by EDI. To review and maintain output data in the document, choose Extras  Output  Header.
    Receiving Acknowledgments via EDI (MM-PUR-GF-CON)
    Use
You have arranged with your vendor that that latter is to send you acknowledgments in respect of purchase orders or outline agreements received from your company. (Note: both kinds of acknowledgment are generally referred to as "order acknowledgments" in the system. The corresponding EDIFACT term is "order response" (ORDRSP).)
You have the option of working exclusively with acknowledgments. The acknowledgment is then purely informative in nature, since only the acknowledgment number is recorded in the system.
If you wish to receive different kinds of vendor confirmation, such as both order acknowledgments and shipping notifications (also known as advance shipping notices - ASNs), it is possible for quantities and dates to be entered in the system automatically).
For more information on this topic, refer to the MM Purchasing documentation ( Confirmations from the Purchasing Viewpoint and Receiving Confirmations via EDI).
    Prerequisites
    Application
To work with several categories of vendor confirmation, you must:
u2022     Enter a confirmation control key on the item detail screen
u2022     Set up the confirmation control facility in Customizing for Purchasing (Purchasing  Confirmations  Set up Confirmation Control). There you can specify the order in which you expect confirmations from your vendors, for example.
    Under Confirmation sequence, you can:
u2022     Specify tolerances for date and price checks
u2022     Allow vendor material changes (VMat indicator)
u2022     Adopt vendor price changes (Price indicator)
Do not use a confirmation control key if you work exclusively with acknowledgments.
    IDoc Interface
You have made the following settings for your EDI vendors in Customizing for Purchasing (Purchasing  Messages  EDI  Set up Partner Profile):
    Parameters for Inbound Messages
    Field     Value
    Partner type     LI
    Partner role     LF
    Message category     ORDRSP
    Process code     ORDR
Processing     Initiate immediately or process via background program
    Activities
When an acknowledgment is received in the form of an incoming EDI message, the system checks whether a confirmation control key has been entered in the relevant PO or outline purchase agreement.
u2022     If there is no confirmation control key, only the acknowledgment number is entered on the item detail screen.
u2022     If there is a confirmation control key, the system updates the confirmation overview. That is to say, the dates and quantities set out in the acknowledgment that has just been received are recorded and taken into account in the overview. To view acknowledgments that have been received, choose Item  Confirmations  Overview from the item overview. Column C (creation indicator) contains the value 3, meaning that the acknowledgment was received via EDI. The system also enters the IDoc number in the External document column.
An IDoc can always acknowledge one purchase order only. The acknowledgment relates to the PO item, not to any individual schedule lines.
    Exceptions
When an acknowledgment is received via EDI, the system automatically checks quantities, prices, and dates. In checking quantities, it applies the over- and underdelivery tolerances set for the item. You can set tolerances for prices and delivery dates in Customizing for Purchasing under Set up Confirmation Control.
The tolerances you define apply to all vendors. Using the enhancement MM06E001 provided by SAP, you can specify that the tolerances do not apply to certain vendors.
If the acknowledged quantities, prices, and dates vary from those set out in the PO or purchase agreement, the system issues a warning message. In this case, the purchasing document is not updated.
For more information on this topic, refer to the section Error Correction (Receiving Confirmations via EDI) of the MM Purchasing documentation.
Sending PO Change Notices via EDI (MM-PUR-PO)
    Use
This section describes how to transmit a change notice relating to a purchase order that has already been sent to a vendor.
The function corresponds to the transmission of a purchase order via EDI.
    Prerequisites
    Application
You have already successfully transmitted the original purchase order to the vendor via EDI.
    Message Control
You have created message condition records for your EDI vendors (Purchasing  Master data  Messages  Purchase order  Create).
Use the message type NEU to transmit PO change notices.
    IDoc Interface
You have made the following settings for your EDI vendors in Customizing for Purchasing (Purchasing  Messages  Set up Partner Profile):
    Parameters for Outbound Messages
    Field     Value
Application     EF ( Purchasing: purchase order)
    Message category     ORDCHG
    IDoc type     ORDERS02 or ORDERS04
Process code     ME 11 (ORDCHG: PO change notice)
If you wish to transmit PO conditions or texts to your vendor, you must create an IDoc view. For more information on this topic, see Sending a Purchase Order via EDI.
    Activities
Change an existing purchase order via Purchasing  Purchase order  Change. Make the necessary changes and save the PO.
The new message is compared with the last successfully transmitted message. PO change notices indicate whether any new items have been added to the PO, and/or whether any already transmitted items have been changed.
When the message is transmitted, only those changes that are simultaneously new and print-relevant are included. The system sets the change indicator for the new message. To check the change indicator, choose Header  Messages in the PO item overview.

Receiving Order Changes by EDI (SD-SLS)
    Use
In this EDI scenario, you receive and process order changes sent by a customer from an R/3 Purchasing system.
    Prerequisites
    Application
    General
You can receive and process order changes in your system only on the basis of an existing order.
    Customizing
To process incoming order changes, you need to make all of the necessary settings in Customizing for Basis. There are no special settings for Sales and Distribution.
    IDoc Interface
Define the EDI partner profile for your partner (transaction WE20) by entering the following data in the header and detail screen for inbound parameters:
    Parameter     Value
Partner type     KU (customer); if the IDoc is sent from an R/3 system via tRFC (in a typical case with ALE scenarios), enter LS for logical system!
    Message type     ORDCHG
    Process code     ORDC
    Processing     Process immediately
Allowed Agents     Enter an R/3 user or an organizational unit, for example.
    Activities
    Inbound Processing
The IDoc interface receives the IDoc and reviews its control record. According to this record and the corresponding partner profile, the IDoc is transferred to the function module IDOC_INPUT_ORDCHG in Sales and Distribution. The ALE services are called.
The system processes the IDoc in the background, using the data records in the IDoc to determine the relevant order.
If processing is successful, the system updates the sales order. The IDoc is sent back to the IDoc interface which updates the status records in the IDoc.
    Exception Handling
If it cannot determine an order, or if an error occurs in processing, the system determines the relevant agent(s) and sends a workitem to the integrated inbox(es). An agent can pick up the workitem to process the IDoc or simply end processing.
To display an IDoc for order changes, choose Environment  Display facsimiles in the order. The system displays a dialog box of object links where you can choose Linked IDocs.

  • Using the PowerBook's screen as the 2nd Display

I have been wondering this for a while: is it at all possible to use the 17" screen on my PowerBook as my secondary monitor and use my 23" Cinema Display as my Primary monitor. What i am trying to do this for is use Final Cut Pro and Shake on my 23" ACD and view the output on the PowerBook's display. I just feel bad that I use my entire 23" monitor just as a second screen.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

By primary and secondary, if you mean have the menu bar be on the ACD rather than the PB screen, then you can do this under the arrangement tab in Display Prefs. Just drag the little facsimilie of the menu bar on the arrangement screens from one screen to the other.

  • Viewsonic vx1935wm lcd display with macbook

i'm trying to connect my monitor using the dvi cable and the mini-dvi to dvi connector. it just says "no signal analog."
when i go to system preferences on my macbook, the highest resolution it shows is 1280 x 800. the viewsonic tech lady said something about clicking a box that said "mirror image" or something. but i don't see anything like that.
can somebody help me pretty please?????
i'm not usually this helpless, but i'm a mac newbie.

    ladyrev,
Welcome to the Apple forums. For future reference, it is best to start a new thread with an issue rather than piggybacking on another one because the solution may be completely different.
I have several comments; your computer is very old and may not support the 1440 x 900 resolution which did not exist at the time your Mac was manufactured. You might be able to correct this with a program called SwitchRes X but I am not sure it will work.
You say you can't see the cursor (you said mouse but I think you mean the cursor that the mouse moves) on the Viewsonic. Have you tried moving the cursor off the PowerBook screen along every edge? It could be that you have the displays arranged in an unexpected way. For example, you may have the Viewsonic set to the right of your PowerBook whereas the OS thinks it is to the left. The way to arrange the displays within the OS so that it matches reality is to go into System Preferences.../Displays and click on the Arrange tab. There you will see facsimilies of the two screens and they can be dragged and moved around so that their arrangement in preferences matches their true physical arrangement on your desk. That should make the cursor do the expected thing as you slide it off the edge of one display to move to the other. Good luck.

  • PA 30 - Facsimiles

    Dear Expert,
We have an issue where after attach a scan document to an employee, we are not able to display it in the PA30 -> Extras -> Display all facsimiles. If i click on the display all facsimiles, the system will show a JPEG imag with a text no preview available. We have no issue for the rest of the employees. But for this particular employee, we are not sure where it went wrong.
My question is, is there anyway i can download the physical document other than in PA30? I did try to download it from transaction OAAD but did not manage to get it. Can i know where is the actual location of the file store in the server so that we can verify whether the file is corrupted. I believe the file is retrieve using the SAP archive link.
Anyone can give me some idea?
    Thanks.
    Regards,
    Bryan.

    Hi,
You are right, we are using the PREL object type with the content repository G9. I trace in here and found a server IP address, i.e. archive storage = 212.218.xxx.xxxx\document\xxxxxx. However when i ask the Basis to locate the following folder, they claim that this path does not exist.
    Thanks.

  • Using mini-DVI to VGA adapter to Samsung display

I have 2009 late model of mac mini, The text on display looks washed out, not clear or sharp at all from day one, I thought it was the old model of monitor, tried the same cable to another monitor on another computer, SAME. so I thought the problem could be the cable or adapter.
It's hard for me to believe is the signal from computer. I'm using VGA adapter made by Dynex bought from Best Buy.
    Anybody has suggestions?? Thanks

Yeah, My old Samsung is lcd synmaster 17", bought many years ago at around $1000. Crazy, crazy price looked back. It's fine when I used it on the retired old Dell. It must be the adapter, trying not to buy another VGA adapter, could not image my next lcd will use one, anyway.
This cable has only 14 pins vs 15 pins on the other cable, not sure if it matters?? Or if Safari has anything to do with it??
    Thank for you reply...

  • Mini-dvi to video adapter changing display on macbook?

I recently purchased a mini-dvi to video adapter for my macbook to be able to view photos and video on my tv. I'm having trouble with the display on my computer when I use the adapter. As soon as I plug in the mini-dvi video adapter into the computer the display on my computer switches from 1280 X 800 to 640 X 480. Attached to the adapter I have an s-video cable to my tv. The display shows the same on the tv but in black and white.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

Turn mirroring off. That way the two displays can run independently from one another. The mirroring check box is in Displays Preferences under the Arrangement tab.

  • Display problems using mini-dvi to video adapter

I recently purchased the mini-dvi to video adapter for my powerbook to use my TV as a monitor and to play pictures and videos from the laptop to the TV. I am getting a full color display on the TV, but it's only the screen saver. None of my files, text, or any other desktop folders or menus appear when I open them up on the laptop. The only screen that opens is the display preferences when I open that up, but it's a different set of preferences than what's in my computer's display preferences, as it's header is "NTSC/PAL". But other than that 1 menu, nothing is appearing but the screen saver.

OK, I discovered that I didn't know what I was doing. With the Mini-DVI to video adapter, you need to use an S-Video cable that plugs into an S-video jack on the TV, and then you need a separate cable to plug into the audio out jack on the MacBook to plug into the TV.
I think you could also use an S-video to RCA component cable if you have a TV with component video input, but I couldn't get that to work so I went to the s-video to s-video cable.
