Display field values onces

Hello
I have a requirement to display values of certain fields once and rest as they are
I have xml three nodes quote,quoteitem,quoteitemdetails
In the quote line item details i want to display make only once and product description as is.

Hi Chinna,
Within short and long texts, you can use placeholders, which can be replaced with the content of data objects using the MESSAGE statement. A maximum of four character-type placeholders are permitted; they are indicated by #&i# in short texts, and by #&Vi&# in long texts, where i = [1, 4]. If #&# itself is to be displayed as part of the text, it must be specified as #&&# in short texts and as "&" in long texts.
To add some detail on how to create variables in Long text, you have to go to 'commands' and in symbol option provide the variables like
&V1& &V2& and so on.

How to display field value only once in REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY

hi experts,
               i am using REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY, for alv outpur display.but i want one of the field in output ,not to display the value which is of same, it have to be displayed only once, I mean i have a number which contains multiple line items corresponding, here i want to display the field value only once when it is repeating , for the same header number, how can i achieve it

Display Field value matching

Hi All,
One of the Sub table contains two fields as Display Fields : Name(Default) and Identity .
In Import manager I want Value Map the Identity field with One of the field in Source File.The problem is Map button is Disable for the Identity field but its enable for the Name Field?
While creating identity Field in the Repository Am i Missing Anything? How can i enable the map button for Identity Field?

 Whenever we have more than one display field, we need to create compound field before
 proceeding to vaue mapping.
 Here Name and Identity both are display fields.After you use split into hierarchy command for identity field , do field mapping.As soon as you complete field mapping , go for creating compound field.
 To create compound field,
 Right-click in the Source Hierarchy tree and choose Create Compound
 Field from the context menu. MDM adds the compound field to the Source Hierarchy tree and to
 the list of fields in the Source Fields grid.
 The compound source field appears in the Source Field grid as compound lookup field <source field
 1; source field n> (where compound lookup field is the name of a destination lookup field
 and source field n is the name of the nth source field).

Can you mask a field value based on another?

In XML publisher, is it possible to not display field values based on a value from another field? If so, how can this be accomplished?
For example, I have a field value for Address Line 1 as "123 Main Street". I don't want the City, State, Zip, County and Country to be be displayed in the pdf output. However, all other Address Line 1 values should be displayed.

Adobe field values not getting displayed in UWL workitem

Hi,
We filled a ISR Adobe form and submitted it and generated the corresponding notification number.
On clickng the 'display and print form', the form is gettin displayed properly.
But on checking the form at the approvers UWL, the field values are not getting properly filled.
The form is getting properly displayed at R/3 through IQS22 and also the data values are properly attached to the notification number( checked through ISR_PROCESS_EVENT ).

Displaying default value for a field in ALV table

Hai all,
 I am having an ALV table in which I want to display Requisition number by default using a value which i generated randomly and it is stored in a variable.
While displaying ALV table my req number field should display that value by default when ever user is inserting a row( all the coloumns n my alv are editable.
Is it possible??

and i created an event handler ON_ALV_INSERT and did the follwing coding for giving default value wen ever am inserting new row.

Custom Field value is not getting populated in Display mode

Hi Experts ,
I have created a custom field on sales tab for BP Role Bill to prty in BP transaction in SAP CRM. The problem i am facing is that , after i chose my sales area field value is not populating in first time no matter whether i am in display or change mode but the moment i switch to the other mode the value is being populated. Kindly help me in solving this.

If the field is added through AET, can you please check the Get & Set Methods?
If the field value has fixed values which you have defined while creating, then check GET_V & GET_P methods.

To Display Input Field Value in Pop Up

hii guys i want to display a input field value in a pop up dialog box.
For this i have taken a input field, a pop up component and a button.
In the dialog box of pop up element i have taken an output text which will display the value of input field.
Everything seems to be work fine if i am giving the value to input filed at design time.
But when i want to display the input field value entered at run time, the dialog box of pop up displays nothing..!!!

setValue and getValue..
Then i set the value property of both input text and output text as #{package.BeanClass.value},

What do you mean by 'protecting' your non-key field value?
1) You want to display it, but make it non-changeable
A - Make the field as output-only in screen, as already answered by a preivous collegue
2) You do not want to display this field at all
A - Goto the DDIC definition of the view (not possible for a table directly), and maintain the required field as a Hidden. After activating, remember to re-generate the maintenance dialogue. Also, please maintain Event 21, in case you want to access/change the value of this field in background.
3) You want to maintain special validations/checks for the field
This can be easily done by introducing your modules within the CHAIN-FIELD commands in the PAI of the generated screens.

Dynamic PDF field value doesn't display XFDF value when no keyboard focus

I created a simple PDF (test.pdf) file (one text field), and saved it as a "static PDF". I created a XFDF file, and when I double-click on the XFDF file, the sample PDF opens and the field is populated.
Here's the problem: I save test.pdf as a "dynamic pdf" file. I double-click on the xfdf file and the pdf opens up, but the data is not displayed in the field. If you click on the field, the text appears. If you click out of the field, it disappears. If you update the field value, and navigate away, the value stays.
There is nothing but the field on the page, no scripts, no subforms, nothing.
Is this a bug in Adobe Reader 7.0? or is there some weird setting in Live Cycle Designer that I'm missing?

What could be the solution, if i want to have the formula on same display field.
say..your entering value in grams and convert into ml in the same field of (:Q_RES.DISPLAY5)
Conversion formula:
(TO_CHAR(TO_NUMBER(:Q_RES_DISPLAY5)-(0.35))/((1.025)*(0.9986))/3)
When I move out of THIS field, it should convert using above formula and store it in same field.
Appreciate your efforts.
