Display java console for yosemite

How do you display Java console in Yosemite (Already Updated to latest update).  I am taking a Java programming class. Also, what is the default path for the JDK and JDE folders?  Any other advice for writing JAVA code on OSK for a beginner is greatly appreciated! Any forums for folks like me?

I am using the MS version.
I just had this thought, though. If I am using an
older version of the JDK, do I need to use the Java
plug-in??Unfortunately yes. IE needs to know where to find the Java Runtime Environment so that it can run the Applets and such you find on the web. You can direct IE to use the java binary within the JDK, but it is so much of a hassle that you're probably better off letting the plug-in "configure" the browser to use the plug-in's JRE.
Well, I guess you don't really need to, but I wouldn't bother. Some day in the future when you switch to a new machine, you may want to take the JDK off of the old machine and use the old machine to store your MP3 collection - in which case you'll still want the JRE.

In addition to using Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control or Grid Control, you can use the Oracle Enterprise Manager Java Console to manage databases from this release or previous releases. You install the Java Console by using the Administrator installation type.

  • DNSDHCP Java Console for Linux usage question

    Hi All,
This should be one of the simplest things, but it defeats me. I have downloaded and installed the DNSDHCP Java Console for Linux on my SLED11 workstation. I start it up and am presented with a login screen:
    Server Address: [ ] Port: [ 636 ]
    (e.g. 192.168.xxx.xxx)
    Username: [ ]
    (e.g. cn=admin,o=companyname)
    Password: [ ]
    [v] Use SSL
    Questions:
Server address: is that supposed to be my OES DNS/DHCP server? Or my eDir server? I've tried each.
Username: is that supposed to be my tree admin? I've tried it.
Password: I think I got this one.
SSL: I *think* my server is set up for SSL, but I'm not sure. I've tried it both ways.
I have tried every combination except the one that works. Can anyone suggest something that I may be missing?
    Thanks,
    Toney.

Most of the time eDir servers default to SSL, and you have to check (or uncheck) the box under the LDAP Group object to require TLS authentication (or something like that)--so if you haven't done that then non-ssl will likely not work. I have had some boxes that wont do SSL though.... In that case, non-ssl usually works for me. You can also configure the same things under iManager.

  • Enterprise Manager 10g Java Console  for Windows

    Dear all,
I have download Complete Files of Oracle10.1.0.2 for Microsoft Windows (32-bit). After installation, When I opened Web-based Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g; I see the following tip on the Administration page
TIP Use the Enterprise Manager 10g Java Console to manage Streams, Advanced Replication, Advanced Queues, XML Database, Spatial and Workspace.
But I am still looking from where it can be launched. Have any professional experienced the Enterprise Manager 10g Java Console on MS Windows platform?
    Regds,
    Faran

It is not installed by default, you have to mark its
checkbox explicitly. In the package selection tree, it is
    under Oracle Client 10.1.0.2.0.
It's only a Beta! But it's much more stable and a little
bit faster than 9iR2. They probably didn't check it for
default installation as it's just a beta.
There's one another interesting issue with Enterprise
Managers (Java and web) in 10g: each of them recommends
you in the welcome page to use the other one. What was
first, the chicken, or the egg???

  • Java required for Yosemite? Is this correct?

Just updated to Yosemite, and now I get messages about Java. Is this true and do I need to download it from Oracle, and not the App Store? Sounds unsafe.

Java is not needed for Yosemite. Some third parties apps/websites do.
Yes you can download directly from Oracle (Oracle bought Java from Sun)

  • I have a program that runs in Java Console. I need to run multiple copies of the program. I can't do this with tabs. Can I do it with separate windows/processes

The program in question was implemented as a Java applet that runs in a browser. The developer says it must run under the Java Console and that I cannot run more than one copy of it in a given browser technology (e.g., Firefox); but I can run multiple copies if I use, eg, Firefox for one, IE 32 bit for another, Chrome for a 3rd and IE 64 bit for a 4th. I have tested this, and this does work.
Why would it not be the case if I spawned a completely different Firefox instance/process? When asked this question, the developer said, no, you have to run a different browser implementation to get a distinct Java Console for each one.
Does this make sense in general, or, more importantly, is it true for Firefox?
    Thanks,
    Dennis

It is working for me if I open a second Firefox instance with its own profile by starting Firefox with the -no-remote command line switch.

  • Running Java Console

    Hi,
I have a user who has a problem with java console. He just changed his computer and in both he run Discoverer Plus 10.1.2.0. In the new computer the java console appears in the screen and doesn't close. When in the old computer this problem didn't exist.
How he can avoid to display java console?
    Thanks.

I think you are using jinitiator instead java. Go to control panel > jinitiator xxx (where xxx is the versión of jinitiator).
In the first tag (somthing like "basic", "Básico" in spanish) will be a check with something like "show java console"("Mostrar consola Java" in spanish). Try uncheck this.
    Good luck!

  • OEM Java Console in 11g database server

Will Oracle support / include the EM Java Console with the client software of 11g db server ?
I really like the EM Java Console for monitoring couple of databases instead of installing the entire grid control and the browser based OEM (scroll pages and pages in some cases).
    Thank you.

From past discussions, the OEM console will go away unless Oracle has changed their views on the java console. It remained in the 10g version for backwards compatibility reasons and because some components weren't in GC yet.

  • 10g & java console

the new em in 10g is purely webbased
on logging in near the botton of the page
it states that you need to use java console for aq
    etc etc
is there still a java ver of enterprise manager in 10g ?
ive installed 10g on linux & cant seem to find
any other version of em other than the web based one above

You have to use the OEM of 9i to do that. OEM in java based application is not available in 10g.

  • Java console not displaying

I have "Show console" enabled in my Java Preferences Panel and the latest version of Java from Oracle installed. Running Mavericks 10.9.3. For some reason my Java console is not showing up?

    Basically,
    just to add to it...
I am trying to access a website that has a NETLET from Sun Microsystems display
when accessing the website. When i do that from my computer...the NETLET does not

  • I have been getting this (or earlier version) messages every time Firefox updates for at least a year "The Java Console extension is no longer supported and will be automatically removed the next time you restart Firefox. " What should I do?

For a long time, each time Firefox updates, it invites me to install theJava Console Update. then I get a message that Java Console not supported.

You can uninstall (remove) the Java Console extensions and disable the Java Quick Starter extension, you do not need them to run Java applets.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Java#Multiple_Java_Console_extensions
Disable the Java Quick Starter extension (if you have it): Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions<br />
Control Panel -> Java -> Advanced tab -> Miscellaneous -> Java Quick Starter (disable)

  • Firefox 4 on Windows Vista loads java applet for my MOO site then immediately closes Java Console, dumping me from the site, so I have had to go back to Firefox 3.6.17 which works fine

I have 32-bit Vista Business, with Firefox as my default browser. I recently upgraded to Firefox 4 and found that I can no longer access my VRoma MOO, which uses a Java applet to connect. I can connect to the site, but within 30 seconds the Java Console closes by itself (without my having done anything) and dumps me from the MOO. Following suggestions on this website, I uninstalled two earlier versions of Java which were on my computer and downloaded Java 6.0.25, the latest version. I also disabled previous Java Console extensions in the browser. None of this helped. I can stay connected with IE, and I can stay connected with Firefox 3.6.17, which I have had to install again. This is disturbing, because VRoma has many student users and I don't want them to encounter this problem if they are using Firefox 4.

    Hello Andrew.
You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author.

    Hi Buterem,
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your MacBook Pro since your recent Yosemite update. I also apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. If you are having intermittent but persistent responsiveness issues with your mouse or trackpad, you may want to try using Activity Monitor to see if these incidents correspond to occupied system resources, especially system memory or CPU. You may find the following article helpful:
