Display more / less than 3 Radio Buttons in RadioButtonGroupByIndex

Hi
I have started learning web dynpro ABAP recently.
My question is -:
When we use "RadioButtonGroupByIndex"  by default 3 radiobuttons are displayed.
If I want more / less radio buttons (say 6 or 2) then how can i proceed ?

Debi

Like all ByIndex UI elements, the number of inner instances (in this case radioButtons) is controlled by the number of elements in the context node that the UI element is bound to. You control the actual number of radioButtons by how many context elements are in the context node at runtime (this will not be refected in the View Editor preview area since this is controlled at runtime).

          I am working on HR report and I’m using <b>PNP LDB</b> . on output when I select “Current month” and select “personal area” single values and hit  execute button . Its giving me short dump “<b>More than one radio button is active </b> “. Why is that any body can help me ?

    Also check on AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT. You`re not selecting any of them too...
    Checkout this code ..
    I declare PNP in attributes and AT SELECTION-SCREEN OUTPUT.
      PNPTIMR5 = ' '.
      PNPTIMR3 = 'X'. ( Just comment it or give error message )
    its giving short dump ,if I try to do the same thing you describe in your post !
    Hope this’ll help you

  • Just Curious: Cropping Display for "Less than Ideal" Resolutions?

    Hey there, its me again. This isn't a "life or death" type of thing, more just a "curiosity"; 'cuz I remember back when I had my classic hp zt1250, whenever the resolution was less than its full capabilities (1024X768), it would resize the input to the correct size, so for example if you were say, installing Windows (where the installer is only 640X480 or 800X600 or somethin' like that), instead of stretching it to the full screen and making it look crappy, it would box it in so that it would only take up those 800X600 or 640X480 pixels of the screen (in the end, you'd see a black box around the part of the screen where there was an image). On a laptop with such an awkward aspect ratio, it bugs me how the "Starting Windows" animation is stretched out (trivial, I know) because it is only in 1024X769 instead of the machine's native 1280X800 Resolution, so I was wondering if this is corrected in a BIOS update somewhere or if it was "Just another one of those oversights" on these fancy "Newish" laptops.
    Thanks.

  • Are flat-screen displays more harmless than old monitors?

    Hey guys, I know our community has very knowledgeable members...
    I'm not sure if I've have grounds to say this, I don't remember if I read this before or heard this before of saw this before. I think that flat screen displays are more friendly to the eye than the old deep monitors (like that of the current eMac), do you know if this is true?
    My mom and dad are planning to replace their eMac-like monitor which nowadays is operating faultly. I suggested a flat-screen display but I'm not sure if it's worth the extra money. We have no space issues, so a new fat monitor would be perfectly okay. We're only concerned about the whatever-it-is that the monitor radiates and that could deteriorate my parents' vision.
    Thank you very much.

    I recently used an EMF meter (used for testing for electrical radiation) on a 14" Colour Portable TV in my daughter's bedroom and it went mad within 3 feet which is very worrying if you were sat in front of it which she was. I did the same test on an eMac at work and it was fine. I would conclude that LCD's are without a doubt better for your eyes due to the way they emit light but I think it would be unfair to assume all CRT's are made equal and eMac's in my experiment appear to be fine.

    1) Are you running with archive log compression - add the "compressed" column to the query above to see if the archived log files are compressed
    2) The difference may simply be a reflection of the number and sizes of the public and private redo threads you have enabled - when anticipating a log file switch Oracle leaves enough space to cater for threads that need to be flushed into the log file, and then doesn't necessarily have to use it.
    Here's a query (if you can run as SYS) to show you your allocation of public and private threads

    Hello, if you are using MX 2004 (probably is the same for
    other versions) then you have to do like this:
    Go to keyframe where you see the radio buttons, right click
    in the radio buttons area and select "edit in place", you will get
    inside that clip and now you can copy/paste the radio buttons in
    the stage to create more buttons.

  • OR is taking much more time than UNION

    hi gems..
    i have written a query using UNION clause and it took 12 seconds to give result.
    then i wrote the same query using OR operator and then it took 78 seconds to give the resultset.
    The tables which are referred by this qurey have no indexes.
    the cost plans for the query with OR is also much more lesser than that with UNION.
    please suggest why OR is taking more time.
    thanks in advance

    Here's a ridiculously simple example.  (these tables don't even have any rows in them)
    If you had separate indexes on col1 and col2, the optimizer might use indexes in the union but not in the or statement:
    Which is faster will depend on the usual list of things.
    Of course, the union also requires a sort operation.

  • Please help! How can I validate Radio Buttons and List Menu with PHP.

    Hello everyone, I have been learning PHP step by step and
    making little projects.
    The point is I find it easy to learn by doing "practical
    projects."
    I have been reading the David Powers's Book on PHP Solutions
    and it's really great, however there is nothing mentioned regarding
    Validating Radio buttons. I know the book cannot cover every aspect
    of PHP and maybe someone in here can help.
    I have been learning how to process HTML forms with PHP.
    The problem is every book or tutorial I have read or
    encountered fall short on validation.
    I'm wondering how I can learn to validate Radio Buttons and
    Select List Menu.
    I have managed to create validation for all other fields but
    have no clue as to how I can get validation for Radio Buttons and
    List Menu.
    I would also like an error message echoed when the user does
    not click a button or make a selection and try to submit the form.
    I would appreciate any help.
    Patrick

    It's not that default value is "None." In fact it's not. It
    will only be
    "none" when the form is submitted.
    Also if your submit button is names 'send' then
    $_POST['send'] will only be
    set if the form was submitted.
    Make sure you didn't hit the refresh button on your browser
    which usually
    reposts the information. Also make sure you did not reach the
    form from
    another form with the same button names.
    Otherwise paste the snippet.
    Also you can check what fields are set in the post array by
    adding this to
    the top of (or anywhere on) your page:
    print_r($_POST);

  • Help me with Radio Buttons and Subform fields, please!

    I've built a dynamic order form with three product options listed as radio buttons. The three options are "Contoured" "Standard" and "Custom". "Contoured" requires five subfields to be filled in if it is selected. "Standard" requires two subfields to be filled in if it is selected. "Custom" has no associated subfields.
    My problem is that I can't figure out a script that isolates the subfields to the appropriate radio buttons. Can anyone suggest a script to use?
    Thanks in advance.
    Brian

    Brian, to understand what I did, I will first explain my hierarchy.
    RBList has 3 radio buttons: A, B, C. Specify the Item Value for each Radio button, e.g. A=1, B=2, C=3. For radio button A, create 2 dropdown lists & 3 numeric fields and wrap in a subform called SubA - ensure you leave it as Visible presence. For radio button B, create 1 dropdown & 1 numeric, wrap in a subform called SubB, and make sure this is visible. I put my code on the subforms (SubA and SubB) rather than the radio buttons. Also, in order for the layout to be saved in Reader, if you want to save and reopen, you must use the script on the Calculate event. The Click event will not save the layout for you (learnt this from past experience in Designer 7.2 Designer 8 saves layout different again). The event Calculates the function as soon as you open up the file.
    Using JavaScript on the Calculate event, on the SubA subform would look like this:
    if (RBList.A.rawValue !=1) {
    this.presence = "hidden";
    else {
    this.presence = "visible";
    Using JavaScript on the Calculate event, on the SubB subform would look like this:
    if (RBList.B.rawValue !=2) {
    this.presence = "hidden";
    else {
    this.presence = "visible";
    The radio button C would not require script if there is not subform needed.

    I can't seem to make grouping of radio buttons work for an html page that's loaded into a JEditorPane. The content type is set properly to text/html. Is there a little trick that I'm missing??
    Once I select a button that's not part of a previous group, it unselects that previous group anyway!!

    Hello There,
    I too am stuck up with the same problem. My HTML document contains two radio buttons which belong to the same group. But when displayed on a Jeditorpane the radio buttons does'nt behave as a part of a group. Both the radio buttons get selected. If you have come across a solution..please help me..
    Thanx

  • Radio button in ALV without using field catalog

    Hi All,
    My requirement is i want to create a RFC function module to display the header table.
    while executing the function module the output is of alv grid format.
    i have used the structure for this.
    i didnt create a layout and fieldcatalog.
    now i need to add a radio button in that alv grid display.
    how to create the radio button without using field catalog.
    Thank in Advance.

    Hi Aishwarya,
    You need to use the field catalog for displaying a field as a radio button in ALV grid.
    Please refer to this link for doing so. [Radio buttons in ALV Grid|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/ABAP-RadioButtonsinALVGRIDREPORT]
    You can use LVC_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE wherein you can use your structure and the Icon for Radiobutton.
    Refer to this link -[Radiobuttons in ALV Grid 2|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/a02535ce-9eaf-2910-ae8c-f2f2afc1c8e7?quicklink=index&overridelayout=true]
