My client has requirement that,when a Employee Lo-gin to there system Birthday/Anniversary wishes must be displayed on there system.Can anyone suggest me how to proceed forward in this case.

Yes you can do the same. ( Considering ECC).
1. Create Z report which will fetch the details of birth day. If it is same with sy-datum provide pop-up or birthday wish. ( You can send the mails also)
2. Make T Code of this report.
3. Assign it to Set start transaction ( Default).
If you want to do the same in ESS please ask EP consultant to do the same.

I wrote message inside the method preset sale area of badi customer_add_data.
The message ls "Message 'some text' type 'I' "
In debugging mode when the cursor reaches to my message then as soon as i press F5, this message get displayed in the status bar and with one more F5 it disappears.
So like this i wrote that the message appears only in fraction of second that when without debugging mode i process the transaction it doesn't appears and i can't see this.

Display error message in batch job log

Hello
I have a batch job running and I have an error coming during some validation logic.
The problem is I need to continue the batch job when this error message comes and it should not cancel the batch job as it is doing currently but display that error message in batch job log, there are more similar error messages coming in job log and job gets finished, but when my error message comes job gets cancelled.
I cannot give it as info message as it will give wrong idea about message type.
Is there any FM by which we can add message in job log?

Sanjeev I have done that but problem is I do not want to give that as Information message but Error message only and continue processing.
If you see in screenshot 3rd message is given by me as information and you can see error messages also 6th and 7th and job continued till it is finished
Basically I want that 'I' to be displayed as 'E'.

You can build a form to a procedure in oracle portal that explores the queue with the option browse and prints de type message with htp package. I made it in this way and my applicattion works right. The procedure must loop the select count(msgid) from aq$[queuetable_name] times.

HT4061 iTunes will not open when my iPhone 4S is attached to my Mac Book Pro. iTunes will start up but as soon as my iPhone appears in the list of devices the program then quits and displays the message 'iTune Quit Unexpectedly'? Can anybody help?

The Problem/s
1. I am unable to sync my iPhone 4S with my Mac Book Pro, either by cable, wifi or bluetooth
2. iTunes will initiall open and briefly identifies the iPhone in the Device section in iTunes.
3. When iTunes starts to read the iPhone (displaying the spinning wheel), it immediately then quits and
4. Opens a 'dialogue box' which displays the message "iTunes Quit Unexpectedly"
5 The dialoge box offers the following button options to:-

The 'Show Details' button will open and display a list of the 'Problem Details and System Configeration'. To the average user the information is useless, as one doesn't know what to look for to solve the problem. This is a long and detailed report (too long to include in this message), which includes information such as:-

The 'Ok' button simply quits and closes the dialogue box
'Reopen'
The 'Reopen' button will again reopen iTunes, briefly showing that it is trying to read the iPhone in the Devices section, but then returns again to display the same dialogue box.
Other Information
1. iTunes will still start normally once the USB cable is removed from the Mac book Pro, but crashes again once the USB cable is reattached to the computer
Any advice or help offered would be greatly appreciated.

How do I display a message in the message area of a report with SALV?

Hi,
How do I display a message at the bottom of the screen of a report (don't know the correct name for the area, but it's the area where error messages normally appear) using the CL_SALV_TABLE object model?
Is there a method in the object model somewhere that will place some text of my choosing in that area for me?
I hope I stated that in an understandable way.

Hi Andrew,
you can issue an error message to be displayed as an error message:
MESSAGE ID .. TYPE 'S' NUMBER .. DISPLAY LIKE 'E'
TYPE 'S' messages are displayed in the status area of the next screen processed, program flow is continued after the message statement. The DISPLAY LIKE 'E' causes the message to be displayed in red color as an error message.

displaying as a message box?Either way. You can have the JSP send a message to the applet to display a message box. Or you can just have the JSP do it. or you can have the applet detremine if the JSP would produce an error and then display the message it would display.

As written in the SAP documentation of the Enhancement , you can only raise error message using a
MESSAGE .. RAISING APPLICATION_ERROR.
You could manage the "warning" yourself, sending an error first time and keeping a trace of the check in some STATICS variable, and not raising the error again if data input remains unchanged between two call of the include.

Remember, any purchased item from the itunes store is forever associated with the Apple ID used to buy it. So when you get prompted for an ID/password and it doesn't accept it, then you are using the wrong ID.
Go to Settings>iTunes and App Stores, be sure it's logged into the ID you have set on the iphone (since that one seems to be connecting with the right ID). If you've done this, then you might wait a bit to see if the "cannot connect to .. store" message has to do with internet connections.

Use swfobject for Flash detection and you can provide all kinds of alternate content... simple text, images, links, .js slideshow, a mov or mp4 video just for the iPhone... ANYTHING this is regular HTML. Your imagination is the only limit.
And YES, HTML5 is a far cry from replicating Flash... so give them the best of both worlds.

The client provided the artwork for the page... and that's what they wanted to use a .jpg image. Well yes, that could be done in HTML but it would be virtually invisible to Google. So Instead I converted the image into a Flash .swf and used swfobject to display the Flash. swfobject allows you to create alternate content inside the <div> which also holds the Flash .swf, then when the page is loaded it detects if the browser has the Flash pluggin. If it does, it displays just the Flash content, if not, it displays the alternate content. Since almost everyone has the Flash pluggin, for most people the Flash version of the <div> will display.
The alternate content for that <div> can be any regular HTML text, images, media player, links, etc., anything that you would use if you were not using the Flash. Now the best part is that the alternate content can be "over the top" as far as optimizing for SEO, since it will not be seen by most viewers.
Here's another example of SEO with Flash.. again, the page is just a single image provided by the client:

View the source code. The alt content is paragraph after paragraph of information about the site, including lists and links. If it was just the HTML, it might be kind of a boring Home page. But for SEO I can go "over the top" in promoting the site, since most viewers will never see that part... but it's all indexed by search engines. On another Web site, a Flash video is displayed, the alt content is the complete text narration of the video. Now how many people would take the time to read that if they could just watch the video instead?? again, better SEO with Flash than without. In fact in one case we had first page search result from that video narration within 4 hours of posting the page.
On still another site with a Flash video, the alt content is another video, but a .mov version, which will, in effect play Flash video on the iPhone (not possible you say??). Well since the iPhone does not have Flash pluggin, it simply displays the .mov version of the video, while everyione else sees the Flash version.
So anyway, if Flash is a part of your Web development, you should look into using swfobject and alternate content.

Displaying multiple messages in a single view

Hi,
I am trying to display two diffrent messages in same view. for this i am using two different message area UI elements. When I use the code wizard to generate the message,same message is being displayed in two message areas. But i do not want that functionality.
If error1 happens, I want the message1 to be displayed in Message area1.
if error2 happens, I want the message2 to be displayed in Message area2.

In the method you need to write the code for both the errors,
get message manager from code wizard and call the method report_error_message.
For both errors write the code below:
*get message manager

      lo_api_controller ?= wd_this->wd_get_api( ).

Need to display the messages in a view which has the pop up on it

Hello all,
I have a view(View 1) in which if i click a button a pop up is being displayed.
Now on the pop up(which has view 2 of window 2) i have a button(Ok) and if i click it then based on a condition i need to close the pop up and then display the message in the message area of View 1.
Now if i click the button on the Pop up then it is being closed and the message is not being displayed on view 2.
I think the message is being displayed on the pop up and is being closed after that.
How can i display my message on View 1.
Any ideas...Please help
