Display only single value

Greetings,
Given my dimension <course section> and measure object <Billable Hours> etc.
When a given course section meets multiple times and/or has a lab my report doubles the billable hours.  doubles e.g. instead of 4 billable hours, the report displays 8 billable hours.
I tried the following formula  w/ ranking w/o any success.
=If([Billable Hours] = Min ([Billable Hours]) In ([Section ID])) Then "1" Else "0"
How can I get my report to display only 4 billable hours?
TIA,

Greetings,
I tried the above formula suggested by Jothi, but when I drag my variable to my report, it displays 1 across the board..
Anuj, in the attached screenshot BIOL-101 shows 8 billable hours, but in actuality it’s only 4 billable hours.  T
he billable hours usually doubles and/or gives wrong result for the following reasons:
When the course has multiple sections
When the course has a lab
My requirement is to display 4 billable hours for BIOL-101 in the sample.
TIA

  • Display only positive values for a particular Keyfigure

    Hi..
    (Sorry, I accidentally posted this also in Datawarehousing forum, actually it related to BeX forum).
    For a particular column(keyfigure) in my report, the user wants to display only positive values.
    I used the formula from the one of the forums
    (Keyfig > 0)* Keyfig.
    This displays only positive values in the column as required. But, the result for this column is also affected. As the result is negative, it shows, zero in the result for this column.
    Is there a way in which the result will not be affected by the formula?
    I went into the properties of the particular keyfigure and chose Calculate Result as -> Summation.
    It throws out the following error message
    'Calculating result as...' was not executed
    Message no. BRAIN141
    Diagnosis
    The function 'Calculate Results as ...' could not be used in all
    instances.
    The recalculation of a result cell always occurs based on the set of
    detailed cells subordinated to this cell. This is the most detailed
    level of the drilldown. Therefore it is not posible to recalculate in
    hierarchical lists. The calculation of a results cell is not performed
    if a cell or column with an expand symbol is assigned beneath it.
    Otherwise the newly calculated result is changed every time one of its
    lower-level nodes is expanded. This is not supported for technical
    reasons and would also only confuse users.
    Note, however, that calculating with "Suppress Results" is always
    executed because the restriction described above does not apply in this
    case.
    NOTE:
    The query shows the keyfigure values for a selected title, for profit center and territory hierarchies.
    Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sai.

    Hi Deepu,
    Thanks for the reply. I tried with ur formula.
    LEAF(keyfig) gives all values "zero" for that particular column including the result.
    NOT LEAF(keyfig) gives all values "one" for that particular column including the result.
    So, ur formula gives the same values as of the present column values.

  • How can I display only one value of a field with two or more values?

    Post Author: skiabox
    CA Forum: Crystal Reports
    I have a field in my report with 2 or more values (depending of another field id).For example for id = 1 the report gives me 2 names in that field.For id = 3 the report gives me 3 names in that field.I want to display only one of these names in the id row.The selection of name is random.Thanks!

    Hello Tim,  would barely fit in this situation since this code resides on the client’s interaction side of things. I’d recommend using JavaScript for this matter, e.g. var Data_FName1 = document.getElementById(‘Data_FName1’).value;. If you still opt for using CFML, then you’d go for proxying your JavaScript code to a CFC.

  • Can I display only negative values in an X-Y graph

    I have my graph set up to run reading two arrays. It is a sine on sine wave and I only want to display the negative results. Is there a way to do this? Is it possible with something like a scan from function? In the end I will be linking this up to an absolute value and having only the negatives be positive, but getting the graph to display only the negative values is the first step.

    You can use the Threshhold 1D Array to filter out all values greater than 0.

  • Displaying only one value for a key figure

    Hi guys,
    I am building a query in BEx Analyzer (v 3.5) where I am facing a difficult requirement.
    In the cube I have the following structure:
    Bank Account | Date | (.....) | KF: Amount | KF:Closing Balance
    A                   | 29.10.2008  | 300             |  5000
    A                   | 29.10.2008  | 100             |  5000
    A                   | 29.10.2008  | 600             |  5000
    As you can see there is one entry for every movement on the account for each day, while the closing balance is the same and entered for each record.
    It is not an option to change this logic in the source system.
    The problem is that I don't have any differentiating characteristics that is useful for the query and I only want to display the closing balance once (i.e. 5000). Now I am getting 15000.
    Is there any way to do this without adding new characteristics?
    Will appreciate all ideas!
    Br,

    Hi TM,
    Did you try with the aggregation: Set this to Maximum in stead of Sum.
    Success,

  • Display interval variables value in BeX

    Hello Gurus,
    I am using Bex BI 7.0 to build my reports. I can't see how to display the value of variable values I have selected in the beginning of the query.
    To clarify with an example I want to choose the period from January to March and to display this selection in the report I have built.
    The only way I was thinking about was to create a Text variable to display in the title of the query but I noticed it displays only single value and don't manage interval like these.
    Is there any other tricks?
    Thanks in advance
    Massimo

    Very good Jaya. I have solved my problem and I rewarded it. The only problem that still remains with this feature is that in a query I use a filtered key figure to obtain cumulated value for period. The "from period" is fixed (january) and the "to period" is given by my period variable.
    I noticed that in this case the text variable return me no value. Is there any another trick to manage text variable in filtered key figure like that?

  • Setting values to Display Only item during AJAX request

    Hello,
    Good Morning!
    In a master-detail form, in the detail report, I am populating two columns SERVICE_TAX_PCT and SERVICE_TAX_AMOUNT by making an AJAX request after selection of ACCOUNT_CODE.  Values are populated with out any issue.
    However, as soon as I make those two fields as Display Only, the values are not getting set.  Is there a way to set the values to a field in the same time it should be restricted for user to change it?

    (APEX 4.2.6)
    check the example
    Step 1: Edit your page
    under CSS->Inline put the code given below
    .row_item_disabled {
       cursor: default;
       opacity: 0.5;
       filter: alpha(opacity=50);
       pointer-events: none;
    Step 2 : I guess you have Javascript function similar like given below
    you have to extract rowid first, for which you want to set the percentage , see line 6
    and see line 18, for disabling the column of that row.
    <script type="text/javascript">
       function f_fetch_tax_percentage(pThis) {
       var ajaxRequest;
       var ajaxResult;
       var row_id = pThis.id.substr(4);
       var percentage    = 'f05_' + row_id;   // replace f05 with the rowid of percentage column
       ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get(null,$x('pFlowId').value,'APPLICATION_PROCESS=TAX_DTLS',0);
       ajaxRequest.addParam('x01',$v(pThis));
       ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get();
       if ( ajaxResult.length > 0 ) {
       // set percentage
       $('#'+percentage).val(parseFloat(ajaxResult));
       // disable percentage column
       $("#f05_" + row_id).attr("readonly", true).addClass('row_item_disabled');
    </script>
    Hope this helps you,

  • BEx Query Designer - Display only Resultrows

    Hi,
    I have a Question, is it possible only to display the yellow result rows of a query ?
    My key figures are dependent from 3 Characteristics, like Partner, Treaty a.o. but I want to see only the Partner and the result row.
    Thanks for help,
    Karin

    Hi,
    If you want to display only result values without key figure values, choose properties of the keyfigure and give 'Suppress Result' in the place of "Calculate Single Value As" then you can suppress the keyfigure values.
    If you want to display only results with out showing the characteristics, right click the char and give display as 'No Display'.

    Here is a rough example that may give you some ideas:
    On the JSP page:
    <%if(myData.getFirstName()!=null){%>
    Your First Name'
    <input type="text" name="firstName" value="<%=myData.getFirstName()%>">
    <%}%>
    In the servlet:

  • Display of missing values in a table view.

    Hi everyone,
    I have a table view with 7 columns and 10 rows which displays only those values which are missing in the DataBase Table.
    Is it possible to show only the missing values as '-' in a table view, the table view is having 7 different fields.
    Also when the value is inserted at run time the corresponding field should be updated accordingly and the value will no longer be displayed in the table view as '-'
    please advice.
    Regards
    Neo.

    Welcome to SDN.
    do you mean to say that in some rows some column values will be blank and you want to replace the blanks with '-'.
    loop thru the itab which you are passing to tableview and for the blank cells pass '-'.
    <i>Also when the value is inserted at run time</i>
    so you are having editable tableview. to update the value back to the dbtable, you have to read it in oninputprocessing and update it to dbtable .
    search the forum on how to read the user entered value from the table view so that you can update the dbtable.

  • Auto-Suggest feature in Combo-box LOV is not displaying non-unique values

    Hi,
    I have an auto-suggest feature implementation on a combo-box lov that displays the name and email-id of a list of people. There are non-unique names in the back-end, for example :
    Abraham Mason [email protected]
    Abraham Mason [email protected]
    But when I use the auto-suggest feature and type in, say 'Ab', instead of showing both the Abraham Masons the auto-suggest displays only one of the values.
    As in the example above the email-ids of the two Abraham Masons are different and unique.
    If I use the conventional drop down menu of the combo-box then both the values are visible.
    Is the auto-suggest feature implemented in a manner so as to display only unique values?
    This is the implementation of the auto-suggest feature that I have done -
    <af:column headerText="#{bindings.RqmtAtLevel1.hints.Owner.label}"
    id="c23" sortable="true" filterable="true"
    sortProperty="Owner"
    filterFeatures="caseInsensitive">

    Hi,
    don't find a bug entry about this, so if this indeed is a defect then this has not been filed. Do you have a test case ? If you have please zip it up and send it in a mail to me. My mail address is in my OTN profile (just click on my name until you get to the profile). Pleas rename the "zip" extension to "unzip" and mention the JDeveloper release you work with. The test case should work against the Oracle HR schema.
    If you need to track the issue, I suggest to file a service request with customer support yourself
