Display Siebel Pop up box with Service Request count for every 1 hr

For our client business, we need to achieve the below functionality. Please suggest me the best method to implement.
1. When the user logged into the application, it should pop up a box by displaying the No# of SR in "New" Status that are assigned to the user who logged in.
2. The pop up box should update it self every 1hr from the time of login and should not require seperate query or refresh.
I have done some initial analysis by using browser script and some recursive functions like(setTimeout).

Issue has been resolved. There was no interesting work-a-round or fix involved.

Try selecting the thumbnails (Shift+Click) or (Ctrl+A) to select all, then click on the top menu
Edit à Update Thumbnail For Selected Items
If that doesn’t work close Elements and delete the thumbnail cache by navigating to:
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\MyCatalog
In side the MyCatalog folder (or whatever name you gave your catalog) you should find a CACHE file:
thumb.5.cache
After deleting that file restart the elements Organizer and wait whilst it regenerates thumbnails.
N.B. The ProgramData folder is sometimes a system hidden file, in which case please follow these instructions before starting.

ERMS with Service Requests

Hi all,
I'm trying to find out if there is still a limitation around using ERMS with Service Requests in CRM 7.0. I have read that ERMS was not possible to use with Service Requests originally in 7.0, but I'm wondering if this has been fixed with any of the service packs.
I'm trying to find this out as we are designing a call center solution where incoming e-mails need to be routed to the right agent / group, and ERMS may need to be used. The Service Request has all of the functionality which is required (better fit than the Service Ticket) but we need to know if the ERMS limitation is still there.

Normally in Oracle apps the language specific data goes into a separate table (_TL). So when User B has opened the SR he wouldn't have seen the description entered by user A since the _TL table does not have data for that language. When user B saves the new description, that will be visible to that language only.
As far as I know it won't dynamically translate the table data. Only the user interface labels and error messages are translated into each language when that language version is built.
What you are reporting looks correct.

OUtlook was already set as the mail client for FF, and is my operating system (XP)'s default mail programme. therefore problem not solved at all. what I get whenever I follow a link in a webpage to send an e-mail is a little pop up window asking me to sign in to gmail or open an account. any other suggestions?

A new tab opens by default as a blank tab (about:blank).
If that isn't the case then an extension has changed that behavior.

Pop up box with Ok and Cancel choices, not working. Please Help.

Hello! I am trying to create a pop up box that allows users to choose Ok and Cancel (i'm just testing with Ok and Cancel for now). For some reason when I run it a CMD line pops up and closes very quickly, but i do not get errors. Here is my code:

Per my understanding, you are developing a winform application, but in your code, I see "Console.WriteLine".
So please use MessageBox.Show() instead.

Issue with Service Request email Notification

Hi All,
Whenever we change the status of SR an email should be triggered. But it is not happening. Is there any setups we have to look for. When ever an event is raised there is no notification sent.
Please let me know your comments at the earliest as it is an priority issue.

Thanks for the reply. I will explain the issue in detail. The issue is with the iSupport.
User creates an SR in iSupport. Now the status will be in Open. Again user updates the SR by adding some notes by which the status of the SR will be changed to Updated by Customer. At this point we are getting an error notification. This error is as follows
Event Error Name: WFENG_EVENT_NOTFOUND
Event Error Message: 3142: Process 'SERVEREQ/100794754-1997529-EVT' has no activities waiting to receive event 'oracle.apps.cs.sr.ServiceRequest.statuschanged'.
Event Error Stack:
Wf_Engine.Event(SERVEREQ, 100794754-1997529-EVT, CSEVTPROC, oracle.apps.cs.sr.ServiceRequest.statuschanged)

But If we update the same SR from service request form in customer support everything is working fine. \

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

R12 KB remove 'Create Service Request' Button for Guest user

We are running Oracle eBusiness 12.1.3
Whenever someone is not logged in and visits our KB they are of course logged in as GUEST.
Currently when viewing a KB solution there is a button that says Create Service Request.
We are looking to remove/hide that button from this page, what is the profile option to do this?

Adobe Flash requesting Action for every page

I'm running Firefox 19.02 and a new problem has now developed.
Every time I visit a new page a pop up requests action to allow Adobe Flash for that page, it doesn't matter how many time you tell it to accept for every page, it refuses to remember it.
It doesn't matter how many times I tell it to activate for every page, it keeps requesting the confirmation.
How can I get around this?

I think you might have "click to play" turned on. I haven't tested it myself, but in looking at the screen shots in [http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39-57475223-285/how-to-configure-firefox-plug-ins-to-load-only-when-clicked/ this CNET article], it does appear that like other site-specific permissions, you should be able to manually change the permission if the dialog isn't working well:
To call up the Page Info dialog on any page, you can use:
* right-click > View Page Info > Permissions tab
* Tools menu > Page Info > Permissions tab
Does that match what you're seeing?
Or, to turn this all off completely and go back to automatically running plugins, you can return to about:config and reset plugins.click_to_play to its default value of false.

I got a requirement where when the reject decision box is clicked a pop-up with reject for reason should be displayed in a drop-down list box.Kindly help me on how to achieve this ?

You can create a new task that calls function module POPUP_TO_DECIDE_LIST and call it in the rejection path. I don't think you can guarantee that the screen will always pop-up immediately. You might want to develop your own decision task with your own screen in which you can write the code that after rejection, the function module is called.

My Safari is stuck on on a webpage "survey.tubgalley.xyz....." It also has a pop up box with "Congratulations you are today's lucky winner, click OK to continue". I can't close these out, and have tried force quiting Safari and shutting down.

Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.

First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. Firefox is taking a long time to open. When it does open, I get a pop up box with "Script not running". Bookmarks on my tool bar don't load. Scrolling is unreliable--it will stop in the middle of a page

First off I need a little more information to help with troubleshooting. You say that an error occurs when you "try to re-open the same problem app before the old session completely exits". Does the error have an error code or dialog display? It may also be possible to receive an error log. Here is a knowledge base that explains how to retrieve error logs.

What's up with Service Request?

I need to "request service" for the AC adapter on my pod. I get this message in seven languages: "Your request could not be completed and was not saved. Please retry your request after quitting and opening your browser. We apologize for the inconvenience." Did that, tried different day, same thing. My serial number is right. What's going on? Any ideas? Thanks.

Glad to see I'm not the only one. I live NW of Charlotte and my signal/speed have tanked. Been a long time since I've seen this and was getting spoiled.
Last time I went through this, it took me almost a month, 15+ calls, and at least that many techs before one of them would listen to me enough to open a ticket to have the towers checked.
Could someone in VZW support take a look at this for us please?
