Display value of condition variable in the output

Hi
I have written a BEX query for sales analysis that has <b>condition</b> for sale value, the user enters 2 variables, the upper and lower limit of sales value.Customers whose sale lie in the value range is displayed.
in the results now I wish to display the values of variables entered by users, how can I achieve that?.

Displaying the value of an variable on the stage

I have managed to display the values contained in string variables on stage, and I am happy with that, however when I wish to display the value of an int and convert it to a string as one is supposed to do the output to the stage just calls it [class int] and does not give its value. any suggestions?
My rogram contains a stage at frame 1 which displays a word. The user must input a word. Frame 30 then displays the word which was displayed and the word input by the user. That all works fine. But the value of the variable NumberRight, which has been assigned to that variable will only display as [class int] without showing its value. (even though I have converet it to a string using the .to string function you see below).
My code is as follows;
trace( "The number correct was" + NumberRight); //This works fine in the output window and shows the value of the variable as NumberRight [class int]1 (showing the value to be 1)

Yes I have managed to overcome that problem it was some code on the first frame, please excuse, however, now, is there any way to remove the [class int] bit from the displays, I wish to have the results as a clear copy of the results so that they can be printed out, without [class int] all over the place?

Hi Ned thanks for that. Yes I had accidently created blank spaces in the String() argument. (wanted to check if there was a subsequent difference in display and forgot to return them to normal ...Sorted )
Your next suggestion has eliminated the [class int] but I get a value now of 0.
My code on the first frame for a correct response for example is;

On the first frame when the user say hits the Return key my code assigns the value of +1 to the variable; eg
NumberRight=NumberRight+1;
and the value of +1 to the value of VowelI

many years ago I wrote this same program in Authorware using similar code. I am trying to re write it in FlashCS5 using ActionScript 3 and It take days to solve small problems. I notice also that If for example the user of the program makes an error and I record the error as NumberRight =NumberRight -1 the program records it as Total Correct = NaN .
I gave up on this a few months back but I am trying again. I think there must be a better way to do this. Variables do not seem to add up or subtract for me at present. no doubt its me thats got it wrong.

Changing values of substitution variables on the basis of selection in Page

I am developing a classic planning application using hyperion 11.1.2.1. All of my data forms are based on substitution variables i.e. I define three variables:
sv_CurrYear = FY12
sv_CurrYearMinus1 = FY11
sv_CurrYearMinus2 = FY10
and i am using these 3 variables in columns section of my data form i.e First Column contains sv_CurrYearMinus2, second column contains sv_CurrYearMinus1 and third column contains sv_CurrYearMinus2.
Now my understanding is that every year system admin will update the values of these variable and data form updated automatically.
But my client want to have such a mechanism through which he would be able to see the data of previous years. i.e He want to have Year dimension in Page section, so that he will select his desired year from drop down and as a result form will display the desired year's data. Now if i have only one column(i.e curr year) in my data form then i could easily do that but since i have three different year's so it didn't seems easy to me.
One idea that originate in my mind is that i add a custom dim by the name of Custom year and its member would be like this CY10, CY11, CY12 ... and so on, then i will place this dimension in Page so that user will select his desired year and when he presses the "Go" button then some sort of script executed which change the values of my Substitution Variables. But i don't know whether its possible or not? if yes, then how or any other alternate idea?

I dont know if it is possible and make sense in your application, but you could create a new Custom Dimension with the members "Current Year" "Previous Year" etc. All values of the current plan period would be saved to "Current Year" and if you change to next plan period (FY+1) you need to copy the data from FY->"Current Year" to FY+1->"Previous Year" and so on.
Then you would be able to put the Financial Year Dimension in Page and the Custom Dimension in Columns.
Disadvantage: your cube data would grow faster.

Displaying Value from Business Rule in the UI

My requirement is as follows:
I profile a customer based on some business rules and the business rules asserts a business object based on the rule evaluation. I checked the output of the Business Rule and I can see that the values have been set correctly but when I added the Business Object to the Human task the same is not displayed in UI. Can anyone please help me on this. I am using 11g.

Running sprepsql.sql to get full sql and explain plan from hash value...
SQL comes back with bind variables :1, :2, :3 etc.
How can I find out what the values are for the bind variables so i can plug them in and run them in test db?

Values not getting printed in the Output

Hi all,
Iam facing strange problem.
In the debug mode iam seeing the values for all variables ( Variable windows) but after printing no value is getting printed. MAIN window is there but no element is being called from the MAIN window.
Can anyone help me in this regard.

check that in print program you have created the element same as using in main program , also declare temporary variables inside loop at table so that **** sign doesnt gets printed ..

Is an assigned value to an variable in the domain of the data element

how can I check if the value, which I want to assign to an variable is in the domain of the data element of that variable.
Example:
I defined a data element myDataElement. The Elementary Type of myDataElement is the Domain myDomain.
myDomain has the Format: Char with Length 1 and the fixed values 'A' and 'B'.
The following code works, but IMHO should not:
DATA testVar TYPE myDomain.
testVar = 'Foo'.
The value of testVar is now: 'F' .
As 'F' is not in the fixed values, this is a behaviour which I don't want. How can I prevent this from not happening (without using a bunch of IFs)?
In such a case, it were nice if an exception were raised.

Can we change the value of a variable in the driver program from sapscript?

I am currently developing a form wherein I need to change the value of a variable defined in the standard
driver program through the sapscript form. Unfortunately, I cannot customize this standard program since this is used by many other
subsidiaries. So, is there anyway that I can change a variable defined in the driver program via sapscript?
I tried to use a PERFORM to change its value but it is not working.

Setting a variable from the output of a shell script

I would like to use the output of the shell script "pwd" to populate a variable that I will then use to concatenate the argument to another shell script.
Below is what I tried, but that didn't work.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Does an applescript always run from "/" or from the directory in which the applescript file is run?

How to bind value to lov based on the output from other lov

HI all, i have 2 message choice Lov, i am selected a value from the 1st lov based on this value i am a executing a query, i want to display one of the attribute value from the query result in the second LOV. i am getting the attribute value correctly but i dont know how to bind that(display) in the 2nd LOV(at runtime).

flat file name is not consistent, we have to pass file name at the time of scenario excution.

In the datastore where you have filename in the "Resource Name", enter a variable #myVar
You need to recompile your scenario after this change has been done.
And when you execute the scenario, pass along the parameters "-Project.myVar=c:\filename.txt"

Query regarding displaying of a blank page on the output of an invoice

hi All,
I am facing a problem in both my development and staging servers. Whenever a print preview of an invoice is seen, there are 3 pages getting displayed (depending on the data) with one BLANK PAGE between 2 pages having data ie., First page has the data, second page is blank and third page has some data again.
Now its very strange and i could not understand why this problem is arising.
I had debugged the invoice SAPScript, but culd not find the issue,. Can anyone please help me out in this regard.

or u r calling two pages explicitly by new-page then check the page assigned and check for spaces in ur program.....
