Displaying an error message with a link to the error field

By default, ADF validation usually displays an alert with an error message and a link to the error field.
I have some custom validations where I finally display the error message with this:

Hi - Recently I put the latest update on my LT15i (4.1.B.0.587), after this I rooted the phone, and everything seemed okay. But since then I keep getting an error message with an offer to download the 4.1.B.0.587 update and the note: "installation not possible" (because it's already there). The news line on top shows a red exclamation mark all the time. It seems to me that it is due to this error that I cannot partition my SD card. Does anybody have an idea how to fix that? Wdr:select_options and highlight Error Message with a Link to Inputfield

Hi,
I have created a InputField on a View using WDR_SELECT_OPTIONS. I want to validate this Input Field and give
Error Message, when User fill it with wrong Values. How can we achieve this and important is to mark it on Screen WITH a RED STAR. ( e.g. highlighted )

I've not tried it with select options before, but you might wan to have a look at setting the REPORT_ATTRIBUTE_ERROR_MESSAGE method of the message object. This way the message gets attached to any UI element bound to the context attribute you issue the message for. But as I type this and think about it some more; I see where the problem lies. The Select Options component doesn't follow an approach of cross component context binding. It dynamically generates its own context.
If I had a little more time I would test this out; but it might be worth your while to research. When you initialize the Select-Options, you normally get access to the interface controller:
data: l_ref_cmp_usage type ref to if_wd_component_usage.
l_ref_cmp_usage =   wd_this->wd_cpuse_select_options( ).
if l_ref_cmp_usage->has_active_component( ) is initial.
    l_ref_cmp_usage->create_component( ).
endif.
* get a pointer to the interface controller of the select options
*component
wd_this->lv_wd_select_options =
       wd_this->wd_cpifc_select_options( ).
* init the select screen
wd_this->lv_sel_handler =
       wd_this->lv_wd_select_options->init_selection_screen( ).
This interface controller (LV_WD_SELECT_OPTIONS in my case). Has a GET_API method that returns the component controller. In turn you might be able to access the context of the Select-Options directly. Its a crazy idea, but worth a try.

Can you check that your Wi-Fi connection is working correctly?
Do you get that error right away at the beginning of the download or much later?
Have a look whether there is plenty of free space (several gigabytes) on your iPad to receive the new iOS 7 upgrade. Remember that the upgrade is downloaded in a compressed form.
It's difficult for me to give precise advice without knowing what caused the error.
If all fails, try to do the upgrade via iTunes with your iPad connected to your computer.

Error Message with Itunes "Some of the items in the Itunes Library...

Itunes gives me the following message when I hook up my Ipod.
"Some of the items in the Itunes library were not copied to teh Ipod because they could not be found"
For some reason my Ipod gave me this message. I went through and recopied my songs from the file on my computer and deleted the duplicates that had issues. Everything works fine for awhile. Then I hook it up again and get the error message again. I am not sure what to do now. Any ideas? Thanks for any help you can give me.

I got this message regarding my iTunes purchases when I got a new computer. I had to go into the Store/Authorize Computer... menu selection in iTunes and provide my iTunes Store ID and password. Don't know if this applies to you, but it fixed my problem. Even if you aren't on a new computer you might want to give it a try.

Handling unpredicted error message with return value of the same in BDC

When i create a bdc program to create a purchase order , the screen stops at an message (of type I).
in background mode (eg : Sometimes becoz of condensing problem in fields and character conversion).
In such cases i need to move on with transaction by handling this popup.
Is there any way that i could atleast handle an information(Non critical) message and make the value of the message as always 'OK' .

Raid 1 error message with ASC: 0x11, ASCQ: 0x0, FRU: 0xf

There is a error message with ASC: 0x11 (unrecovered read error), ASCQ: 0x0, FRU: 0xf
And I reference the documentation at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19105-01/storedge.6320/817-5918-10/817-5918-10.pdf The error messages means:
"The RAID controller firmware, during a normal read or volumes verification operation, corrects the bad sector on the drive by reconstructing the
data (assuming a RAID 1+0 or RAID 5 configuration) and writing it back to the drive. The drive, in turn, writes the data to a spare sector.
Ensure that the volume is scrubbed on a regular basis. If the volumes in the RAID device are configured as RAID 0,
then the data is lost and drive replacement is required."
But I am not understand if the harddisk in RAID 1. Is that the harddisk with problem will write the data to a spare sector but the other mirrored
harddisk will not write to the spared block due to mirroring or they both write the data in the bad block to the spared block?
If the data in the bad block moved to the spare sector in both mirrored harddisks.
Is that the whole mirrored group will reuse the bad sector again after replacement?
If the Mirror is built up by Veritas not the Solaris Volume Manager. Is there any difference?

It appears that SCSI disk #178, in an external array, has a bad data block
and that the specific data block is #7564160. That data block
additionally translates into sector #7560064 of LUN#1.
Your computer system is finding it difficult to read whatever is in that part of the drive.
Repair that disk by marking the block as unusable,
or you can just replace the disk and rebuild the LUN.
I've never had to do that, personally.
That's what service contracts are for. The vendor does it for me.
It seems that it is time for you to open a service case with the array vendor.

Yes I can it only happens in the browser..
I reinstalled Windows on my machine and started over a couple of weeks ago.
When my desktop started up I didn’t have Acrobat installed and clicked on a pdf file and the open with xxx dialogue box came open.
I chose a different program as Acrobat wasn’t installed yet so it associated pdf files with another program.
Later Installed Acrobat and couldn’t associate the pdf file with acrobat so I went into Folder Options and manually associated PDF files with Acrobat.
Ever since then I get the error when something is downloaded and opened in the browser.
Works fine everywhere else and when I cancel the blank error, highlight the web address and press enter to reload it works 90% of the time.
Not sure what to do..

I have requirement in which I need to display an error message in SRM Portal.The error message is maintained in the SAP SRM system and can be viewed through SE91.
We are using SRM 4.0 Version.
I need to display the below error message with a hyperlink to a particular site:
Profit Center of plant and CO do not match, CO belogs to plant XXXX (item link)"
Is it possible to have hyperlink with an error message.

It is no possible.
But you may add hyperlink into documentation for message (SE91 -> Goto -> Documentation -> Long text).
In this case hyperlink will be available after double click on error icon in left bottom corner.
PS: and not duplicate posts.

"No pages updated" error message with v11.1.2.1.x SmartView

All,
One of our users with v11.1.2.1.00 (build 271) of SmartView has a workbook with a number of worksheets set up to retrieve from a v9.3.x HFM application.
Upon connecting his workbook (note that the workbook in question has some external links which I chose NOT to update\refresh) to the v9.x HFM application in MS Excel 2003 SP3, the user selects Smart View > Data > Refresh All Worksheets and a error dialog box with the "No pages updated" message gets displayed. Upon clicking on the [OK] button on the error dialog box in question, SmartView still cycles through all worksheets in the workbook and refreshes them one at a time without any further error\warning\other messages.
In an attempt to narrow down what worksheet(s) cause(s) this error message, I have tried to refresh each worksheet individually (ie, cycling through each worksheet and selecting Smart View > Refresh against each of them) and they all worked fine.
As this message is appearing in an error dialog box, the user is reluctant to have his PC upgraded to v11.1.2.1.00 (Build 271) SmartView on the basis that there must be something wrong with the add-in, etc.
I have searched the Oracle KB and the SmartView forum for this error message but in vain.
I was wondering if anyone had encountered this error message and whether they had the opportunity to resolve it and how.

Portlet Chart error message with page parameters

I have a perplexing problem.
We're using portal 9.0.4. I've created a chart from a sql query using the portal builder tools. It's a complicated query with two parameters that have default values defined. The chart will run as a portlet from the portal provider edit page just fine.
I can place the chart portlet on a page without hooking up the page parameters and it runs just fine from the default values. However, when I hook up the page parameters to the chart parameters from the page properties area, the chart no longer works. It displays "Error Message" in the portlet header area with no other error messages. The other portlets continue to work just fine.
I've double checked the page parameter settings. I've built a second chart, and the same thing happens when I hook up the page parameters to the portlet on the page.
I traced through the portlet code in the generated package, and it seems to be failing on this statement:
