Displaying Client standard header in ALV output

Hi everybody,
I am displaying the ALV report.
On the top-of-page Client standard header has to display.
Can any one suggest me how to achive this.

Here is a simple template:
FORM top_of_page USING cl_dd TYPE REF TO cl_dd_document.
DATA: l_string TYPE sdydo_text_element.
l_string = sy-title.
CALL METHOD cl_dd->add_text
    EXPORTING text      = l_string
              sap_style = 'HEADING'.
CALL METHOD cl_dd->new_line.
* ...you could use several calls to "cl_dd->new_line"
* and "cl_dd->add_text" to get your heading lines, no
* matter how many they are
ENDFORM.                    " top_of_page
Then of course you should call the ALV:
    CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'
      EXPORTING
        i_callback_html_top_of_page       = 'TOP_OF_PAGE'
You can also insert images (with "call method l_logo->add_picture", if you define "data: l_logo type ref to cl_dd_area") or even split the heading vertically (by using "call method cl_dd->vertical_split".

Its displaying well in output, but when I select excel download, the header is getting printed 4 times in the alv output and in the excel download it is printing twice. Please advise how to keep the header once. Note : I am not using any paging concept, simple header at the top.

While creating top-of-page,
You have to refresh your header internal table before populating it with data i.e,
FORM TOP.
Refresh IT_HEADER                   -->with this the header text will not get repeatedly printed

Not able to display the 18 cloumns inthe alv output

Hi Everybody,
I am developing one report to the display the output in alv for the 18months report.
basically my requirement is when ever i execute the program based on the current month it should calculate the next 18months and fetch the data and display in the alv.
for eg: if we are executing in the month of mar 2012 then in the output it should display from march 2012 to next year aug 2013 and in the column heading also it should display from March to next year August.
i have written the code and able to fetch tshould change he data for the 18 months and when i am sending the data into the internal table from row wise to column wise for the months the data is getting overwritten from the next year march 2013 to august 2013 and i am unable to add the new column after 12 months completed and the field catlog heading also should change based on when we are executing.
please find the below code which i have written and please let me know how and where i can correct the code so that the 18 columns are displayed from the month of the execution and the data according to it.

Hi meer,
I saw your code , here in type declaration ty_out it's having only 12( jan to dec ) months you need to add 6 more months at type declaration and field catalog level also.
Thats the reason why next year's data is overwritng the prev year data.
I think Coloumn heading (month names) you need to determine dynamically in field catalog beacause 18 months name will depends on current month.

Dynamic Header in ALV output

Hi All,
I have requirement like below
i have company code in the selection screen as select options.
i need to give the output in such a way that
suppose the end user given the company code as 100 110 120 then i need to display in the
<b>header section</b>
100 - description
and in list (body) the should contain the records related to 100(Company code ) only
in the next page
<b>header section</b> contains the
110 - description
and in the ALV list needs to contain only the records related to 110.
and so on.
Please help me how to proceed; I have bit knowledge in container programming.

I did something very similar to your requirement.
There is a predefined event for Reuse_alv_list_display called 'BEFORE_LINE_OUTPUT'. In the event table, you have to specify the <event>-name = 'BEFORE_LINE_OUTPUT' and the <event>-form = 'ALV_BEFORE_LINE_OUTPUT'.
Then you need a form like

In my program the global table displayed in ALV was gt_prot (of line type typ_prot) and the requirement was to start a new page for each file processed. The form stores the file processed in
g_file_no. If a new file is processed, a NEW-PAGE will trigger the TOP_OF_PAGE event of the alv. I will not copy the form here because we also issued some statistical values, system and user informations and so on.
But I hope you get it done.
The only remaining issue may be that the before_line_output event will cost some time because it is triggered for every output line. But my report was still quite fast.

How to obtain printout of logo used in ALV output?

hello,
I am displaying logo in header of ALV display but when taking print of that display, everything other than logo is displayed.
Can anyone tell me how to get the displayed logo in print?

Negative sign for DMBTR field in ALV output

Hi Experts,
Before posting I have searched for more than 3 hours in the forums to get a solution for this.
I did not get any solution so I am posting this problem which I need to resolve.
I have to display the DMBTR field in ALV output for which a grand total will have to be displayed.
Here for all the values in DMBTR which are negative are getting displayed as '- 6673.56','- 289956.23' as I am using the edit mask 'V_____________.__'.
I have to get the value shown as '-6673.56', '-289956.23'.
I tried to use convert this DMBTR to String and have successfully displayed the negative sign correctly in front of the value but I am not getting the totals which I need to have

Hi,
If this is the case, then you can use character field to display the sign on the left. Sum up the total and use the event end of list to display the same. Remember to set the TECH and NO_OUT in the field catalog.

Initial ALV output display

Hello,
I have one query witl regards to ALV output. After entering data in the selection screnn my ALV output gets displayed and there is no issue with it. The ALV is in display mode and if i click on the change button the ALV becomes editable. So fat it is fine.
The area of concern is the initial ALV output even though it is in display mode looks as if it is editable ALV. On click of the change button, then the ALV is shown in display mode and it is easily identifiable.
The user feels the initial ALV output is confusing and that he is not able to recognize whether it is display/editbale ALV. How can we fix it so that client can identify it?
Also, how do we get all the standard ALV buttons that we get in SE38 output in webdynpro? Please help.

Newly added field not getting displayed in ALV output

   I'm adding one more field/column to be displayed in an old existing program that uses REUSE_ALV_FIELDCATALOG_MERGE to generate the ALV fieldcat.

The newly added field is not getting populated in the lv_fieldcat table. Tried running programs BALVBUFDEL,
BCALV_BUFFER_DEL_SHARED then logging off and logging in but of no help.

Fieldcat is buffered - so use
I_BYPASSING_BUFFER = 'X'
Since a while CL_GUI_ALV_GRID is available which does NOT need any fieldcat (is determined internally using RTTI). It is worth playing around whith this class if you have some time. This class is recommended for ALV Output by SAP (but no edit is possible - was never supported officially).
A simple use would be:

I have one requirement. I have an ALV output. In this one date field is editable. Here User wants F4 Help. I have provided the F4 help, F4 help is coming but for F4 help i want the Factory Calendar type display. Currently the F4 help is coming like a normal F4 help.

I hope you have checked standard program 'bcalv_edit_08'.
in this program, if the type of field we are taking in that perticuler column is 'DATS' then it should display the calender.

Disable some standard buttons from ALV display

I am creating an ALV display using object oriented approach. I know how to exclude some of the standard function buttons from the list.
But suppose instead of deleting, the requirement is to disable (I mean grayed out)
some standard buttons from ALV. Could anyone please comment on how to do this.

Strange behaviour in alv output display for a date column!

hi friends,
my alv output list display contains a column for budat (posting date), if this field has no value, then it displays a blank cell (space) in the output in my user login...but when the same report is run in another user login, even though the value of the column is null, it displays 00000000 (8 zeroes) rather than displaying a blank cell...i have set the field catalog property NO_ZERO = 'X'; is this property has anything to do with authorization to achieve its funcionality? am not sure...this is strange, as it is the same report, same field catalog that is being used..need some inputs on this

There are 2 solutions for an adhoc solution you can change the field to a char10 field, this will solve your immediate problem of the 0 display. For a permanent solution you can check the user profile setting for the date for you as well as the concerned user.
