Displaying internal image on a push button

Hi,
I am running oracle forms 11.1.2.0.0.
I create a push button and under object property make it an iconic yes
and under iconic file name I have "java/oracle/forms/icons/save.gif"
During run-time it displays a image but it is not of save, it is an image of badimage.gif
Even if I change save.gif to print.gif it is same result.
What am I missing?
Thanks
Munish

  • How to display JPG Icons on push buttons

    Hi there,
I have come to know that some changes are required in registry.dat file to get jpg images displayed on a push button. Please let me know about the changes required in detail.
    Thanks

    Ali,
for the registry dat file all the required informationm is in there. Create a virtual directory in your HTTP server to reference the physical directory that holds your images.Open registry.dat and scroll down a bit. You find the section where you can set the image type to use jpg or gif and the virtual path. Add your virtual path as shown in the examples in this file.
Just add the name of the jpg file, with no extension, to the button's icon name property.
Alternatively you can use jar files to hold icons too. If you do a search ion this forum then you'll find a lot of comments on that.

  • WAD: Push button not displaying some Web Items

    Hi All,
I have a web template 7.x in which there is a push button for "Export to PDF". There are some changes carried out to this web template, to include one radio button web item. My requirement is to display this Web Item on the export to PDF page.
I have included this radio button web item in "Export to PDF" button list. However still it is not displayed on Export to PDF page.
Is there any other setting which i am missing?
    Appreciate your quick response.
    Thanks.

    Hi Samruddhi,
As per SAP Note 1069368 which talks about the limitations of Export to PDF functionality in WAD 7, the following webitems alone are supported on Export to PDF:-
    Supported Web items
    Analysis item
Report item (see also the section 'Web application export with report items')
    Chart item
    Map item
    Information item
    Text item
    List of conditions
    List of exceptions
Images (only from the MIME repository, see Note 484390)
Thus Radio Button cannot be included in the exported PDF.

  • Wan to add push button in the output of ALV Grid display.

    Hi Friends,
I wan to add a Push button in the output of ALV GRID display with STANDARD ikons.
How to copy standard ikons of GRID output.
How to apply the copied status into my code.
    Regards,
    Viji

    Hi,
Goto SE41, create a pf-status for your alv report program.
On the next screen, click menu EXTRAS --> click option ADJUST TEMPLATES and select radiobutton LIST VIEWER --> you will get all standard buttons of alv in the pf-status.
Delete the unwanted buttons and also you can add new buttons if reqd.
Activate pf-status --> and apply in alv program.
Now to apply this pf-status in your alv report follow code:-
      CALL FUNCTION 'REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY'

    4. Saved the file , started the listner and ran the test form.
    5. Named the Icon file name to Aflist (no extensions)
    DOES NOT WORK.
    Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Help.

  • Issue with Icons display in PUSH BUTTONS in forms 11g

    Hello,
This is regarding an issue with the icons background for the push buttons in the forms 11g. When we enable the icons for the buttons (.gif) they are visible on the
top left corner of the buttons and not in the centre. In one of the forums it was written like this is a common problem in Forms 11g. Is there any way by which we can
centralize this icons on the Forms buttons. Also I have heard that image editing tools can be used to centralize the icons. I tried with one of the tools but it seems
    like it is not working.
Can somebody suggest a workaround for this?
    Thanks in Advance
    Ram

I will assume you are attempting to use the images included in the Forms applet jar. These images are purposely structured so that the subject is off-centered. You should not see that same behavior if you use your own images or edit the ones built-in to Forms. However, keep in mind that the images packaged in the Forms applet jar are intended to be used in a menu toolbar and not custom buttons.
For more information, refer to MyOracleSupport note 1391073.1 where I explain this in detail.

  • Displaying a Push button in the application toolbar for an ALV report

    Hello everyone,
    Query:
Is it possible to display a custom push button in the application tool bar while displaying an ALV report(1st one)?
On pressing this custom push button will I be able to display another ALV report(2nd one) based on the selection made on the current ALV report(1st one)?

Yes u can have pushbutton on application toolbar.
You just have to use the new pf status in your report program.
You should copy the 'STANDARD' GUI status from program SAPLKKBL using transaction SE90 >Programming SubObjects> Gui Status.
Execute this transaction to get to next screen. select status using checkbox. click on GUI Status --> Copy.
Enter your Z program name and the name you what for this status - you can keep it as 'STANDARD' to be simple.
Then you can edit the new status to add or delete buttons. This will also bring in the standard SAP ALV functionality.
Have a look at below code for using the new status.
    TYPE-POOLS: slis.

    Hello,
I could able to solve the problem
    Thanks to you both.
I was using the Modification Group 1 parameter in the push button attributes and trying to activate via PBO already - as is mentioned by Karthik.
    But I used screen-ACTIVE = 1 alone. Now as per pawan's message i have used SCREEN-INPUT = 1. and it worked out.
    Thank You once again...
    Regards,

  • Select current line through push button in module pool

    Hi,
I have created one module pool program with table control. There I have inserted on push button where some logic is deployed.
    Logic :-
If I push button on current line or any line, that line should be selected in the program. So that I can move that line to next internal table.
But, it always shows first line.
    Please suggest the same.

    hi amol,
GET CURSOR only works on the number of table control lines that can be displayed on screen at any one time.  So, if your screen can display only 4 lines, all you'll ever get from GET CURSOR is a number 1 to 4.
But your screen also knows which of your table control records is currently displayed as the top line of your table control.  This information is held in field TC_ITEMS-TOP_LINE (where TC_ITEMS is the name of your table control).  By combining these two bits of information, you can find the correct line number of your selected record.
For example in the case you describe where you are clicking on line 5 but GET CURSOR thinks it is line 4 because your screen has moved down a record, I would think that TC_ITEMS-TOP_LINE would be 2.  Add 4 and 2 together, subtract 1 and you'll get your correct line number.
    hope it helps,
    vikas
